The bad part: The staff member was in such a rush to clock out that they didn’t want to check us in with our rental and told me “you can go back in line and wait on her.” until the other staff (who was already busy with other customers) had to ask him to take care of us. So he grumbled through the process and gave me the keys to a truck without telling us we didn’t get the Camry or a car like we booked until we walked out there and realized it was a full size truck. Not the most comfortable ride back home when you’re expecting an easy to drive sedan. So basically staff interaction was not pleasant sums up the bad part of the experience. First car I was given had nonstop electrical problems. The CarPlay wouldn’t work and then ultimately an electrical failure rendered the car useless. After several hours, which caused me to miss a critical meeting, I secured a replacement vehicle. The lift gate on that one had to be forced open and closed. When I returned it, the attendant said, “they knew about that.” Won’t ever be using Avis again.Reviewed Feb 6 2023

Avis is fine, but the Kia Sportage has absolutely no get up and go. Several times wanted to pass going uphill and there was nothing, no response from the car at all until I floored it. The head rest was not adjustable and kept my neck at a painful angle the entire trip. Get something else. The check-in and check-out process couldn't have been easier though. Avis should have done a walk-around with me before we took the car. They just gave me a key. There were several scratches on the back bumper, sticker goop on the front left quarter panel, and the front tag (Illinois plates) looked like someone had tried to remove it. We bent it back into place. There was a large ding in the driver's side windshield. Would have been nice to know they were aware of these things before we took the car.Reviewed Jun 28 2022

During our first hours driving, a serious steering problem developed and we headed for the nearest airport Avis agency in Montgomery. The staff there immediately took action to find us a replacement vehicle and we were back on the road within a hour, with an upgraded car. Excellent service!Reviewed May 1 2022
