We had to wait a long time at pickup and then were told that they had only a pickup truck or van, we had requested a smaller car and confirmed it in line before we went. We also filled out all the forms online Ann bc still were asked those questions. The lights on the car were finicky and the police pulled us over for rear lights being out . Overall a terrible experience, we won’t be back.

Avis/Budget counter had a very long line and once we got the counter, we were told we would have to wait until a sedan came in -- they offered us a SUV or truck but we declned as we had reserved a sedan. The car was fine and the price was good but the wait in line and for the car was at least an hour.

Was charged an extra day because they had changed my drop off time till noon rather than the 4pm time we had to be back at airport. So rather than charge for 4 hrs extra they charged 24 hrs. I thought it was petty of the agent.

I had booked a Mazda 6, but instead I was given a Mazda CX-3, which is a much smaller car. Instead of upgrading me to a similar or better vehicle, Avis downgraded my rental, which was extremely disappointing. It then took two to three days for anyone to respond to my complaints. I received no proper response until I repeatedly contacted the team and pushed the issue. Eventually, after three days, they managed to bring me a Mazda 6 — but unfortunately, it was an extremely old and poorly maintained car. It was in poor condition, and definitely not the quality of vehicle I expected. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience with Avis. I expected much better service and a proper replacement vehicle. Based on this experience, I will not be renting a car from Avis again.

I ordered the car online for a specific rate and a type of vehicle When I went to pick it up they didn't have what I ordered and provided a "bigger" one And charged me a much higher rate even though I provided a receipt from online They gave me a number to call I did so and was given a confirmation number and was told they added in the 200 dollar deposit The car was not clean inside or out and smelled terribly of tobacco smoke in the trunk so I could not use for my belongings No body came out with me to car to.show how things work or do a walk around I took photos of marks, stone chips a d a ding I told them when I rented that I was not sure of the exact length of time maybe 2 weeks maybe less maybe more a d was told thst was okay Yesterday I received a.call saying it was overdue and unless I drove the 200 miles to Guelph to sign I would be charged 15 extra per day I spoke of the issue with the billing without resolve or resolution This rental was to provide me with transportation until my recently purchased car was ready This rental situation has been unpleasant and stressful
