Unhappy Tourist
Pros: I got a free upgrade. it rode nice.
Cons: The car was unclean, sand all over the place. The front tires were bald. The key fab only unlocked the vehicle. Minor cosmetic damage all around the vehicle.

Oh...Wow!
Pros: The car was clean
Cons: We did not get what we rented! Despite reserving an SUV my family and I arrived to receive a car! We were staying in a location with TONS of potholes and very rough roads. Also, we planned on surfing/hauling stand-up paddle boards around. Budget rental PROMISED to get an SUV for us if we'd use the car for one day. This was NOT the case. Each day, we called or stopped by Budget (along with calling and e-mailing their corporate office). The customer service was HORRIBLE. We went the entire vacation using a small car with five (5) people, plus our luggage. I am super disappointed with Budget and their service!

poor poor service
Pros: the two cars that i had very very dirty and had to be given back because of the smell of smoke in regards to the pick up counter the signs are poorly displayed to get to the express line

Lack of customer service.
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: Never was able to get my rental. There customer service was the worst ever. Will never recommend it to anyone.

They do not honor reservations/ rental confirmatio
Pros: Drop off/Pick up location is exceptionally convenient
Cons: they did not have a car in stock when I arrived. Same problem for at least 5 other people on my flight. Was able to get one the next day but only because several other people canceled. I needed an SUV and had rented one online with a confirmation, but I was luck to get an economy car as they originally had nothing in inventory and told me I'd be without a car my entire stay.

Car rental from BQN
Pros: The service we received was great, but not from a Budget employee... who was not present. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end.
Cons: No one at Budget was able to answer any phone calls with questions!! A Budget employee called two days before to confirm my reservation, gave me an option for a closer pickup office but never called me back to confirm where! So, two hours before my pickup time, i finally reached someone, by phone, to confirm where my pickup was to be (which never changed from the original reservation).

Dirt car
Pros: Car size was good.
Cons: Car was so dirty inside and out. I had to buy windex to clean the windows inside because of the heavy grime that blurred the glass. Could not see well thru windows at onset... On the island where I was the roads are steep, curvy and dangerous---You need to see clearly to be safe... Also Left over garbage from prior renters in car... Upon pick up Budget rep marked off exterior dents/scratches on form only for front and rear of car but when I got to car, there were actually more dents/scratches on the sides of car also. I had to go get the Budget rep to look at it and remark the forms.. This was at approximately 5:00 am in morning after the flight.. Above are basic items you would expect not to have to deal with on a car rental.
