I was cheated on fuel. The car was given to me about half full. The GMC Denali doesn’t have a standard fuel gauge but miles till empty. I returned the car full and the agent promised me a $50.00 credit which I did not receive.Reviewed May 12 2026

They wouldn't let me rent the car without a flight number because it was booked at the airport. This was not disclosed and now it's taking forever to get a refund because I used the pay later option through Affirm and now have to go through a dispute process. I used to work in the rental car business so this is not coming from a perspective of entitlement but rather experience. This SUV that was rented was simply not cleaned at all. There was a complete lack of care by the Budget employees at the airport in Buffalo. I did not report this at the time because the walk to the car is far away from the counter and I had to get to my appointment. Complaining wouldn’t be necessary and waste everyone’s time if a job was done properly from the beginning.Reviewed Mar 19 2026

I did not like it at all. Kayak is only a front runner for another corporation that takes your money and I never got a car when I got to my destination and I haven't gotten all my money back yet. I did not understand that you're not really going to kayak kayak is just looking for cars for somebody else who may or may not get your car for you. I didn't like the experience at all and I never got my money back from kayak. I only got partial funds back from a corporation called QEEQ there you go.Reviewed Nov 6 2025

I feel scammed /cheated. The price that I have booked during online is totally different when I pay in on the spot. The charges is way higher than expected and it is almost double as what I have booked online. There are additional different types of tax in the payment and the taxes prices is totally different when I book online. The customer service doesn’t allow me to negotiate and he said it is a must to pay. I have no choice because I need the car in hurry.
