There were 4 people ahead of me when I went to pick up the rental car and only 2 agents. While I was waiting in line, about another dozen clients walked in - I would not have been happy to be the last person in that line. It probably took me 30 minutes to get the car. (2 interruptions by customers who were having issues with the cars they just rented) The agents were friendly and professional, the car suited my needs and I had no issues with it beyond connecting it to my iPhone for the navigation tool. My Reservation Number - 42854989-US-2. I picked up the car on 3/25 at 8.55AM and was supposed to return it at 4/09 9.00AM, but I returned the car ONE DAY EARLY. I returned it at 4/08 around 8.30 PM, but I am still being charged a LATE fees. I received the car with full gas and I returned the car with full gas. I filled up the car from a gas station near cary. The only driving after filling up the car is around 5 miles or so. But I al also being charged for almost 2 gallons of gas. I believe that both cases above are cruel and budget is just trying to squeeze more money out of customers without any valid reason. IT IS UNFAIR TO CHARGE LATE FEES WHEN THE CAR WAS RETURNED EARLY. Very disappointed and heartbroken. Note: When the car was returned the previous day, I even walked into the office and asked the lady about a checkout receipt and the lady said that there is nothing for her to give me because I am supposed to do just leave the car with the keys inside and the guy will check it in. Car windows were filthy with a layer of smudge. Windshield wiper spray did not work. Windshield wiper was too large for car (Passenger side). Car itself was very nice, lots of features. Good ride. Exactly what I signed up for.Reviewed Mar 16 2026

The advertised rate was $47 for a quick 90 minute rental. Fine! Perfect! When I got to the counter I was told it would be an electric car. No problem! After all, I selected the mystery car option. But then i was told I would need to return it fully charged with a full one hour charge! What the hell? Or…I was offered a gas car for $20 extra. I felt like I had just been baited and switched! Not cool at all. I certainly have no problems with an EV. But being told I had to charge a full hour, which was either false information or way to get me to ‘upgrade’ for extra, was not only disappointing but cause for pause next time this airline employee needs to rent. Either way it’s bad word of mouth among my colleagues.Reviewed Jan 19 2026
