Pros: I got an economy car on short notice for a short overnight trip.
Cons: For some reason, car places still can't seem to staff well enough. There was a guy on hold on the phone for the 15 minutes it took to get my car and why does it take 15 minutes? It seems that with today's technology I could at least start entering my info into a Kiosk when I arrive to shorten the amount of time it takes to get my car.

Pros: Absolutely nothing. The entire experience was unpleasant!
Cons: The lackluster gentlemen working the desk said "well this car hasn't been cleaned but you can have that" followed by "it's the only car we've got right now but there's a $20 a day upcharge from what you ordered and you'll have to pay that" Avoid these people at all costs

Cons: First of all, my reservation said 12 noon pick-up, but when I got there they location was closed. It shouldn't say 12 noon pick up on the reservation if the location closes at 12 noon. I then had to drive a half hour to the airport to pick up a car, but found out Hertz changed it's policy, and I couldn't rent with my Visa/Debit/Credit bank card. I had to go back home empty-handed the day before my trip, and couldn't rent anywhere else because of the same change in policy and/or exorbitant prices of the one rental car company taking debit cards. Since I had pre-paid online already, I had to get ahold of someone on the phone to get my money refunded, which then took a week to receive. It was a horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN!

HERTZ is messed up
Cons: Reserved a rental car month in advance and called the day before pickup to confirm reservation and was told they would not have car for me to pickup,SAID OUT OF CARS If I had not called I would have arrived at hertz and been stuck there with no car! They did not even bother to call me. Was told someone would call me back if they found me a car but nobody even bothered to do that. Called customer service several times,which was overseas and was also told someone would be in touch with me,which also no call back. Will not do business with them again

Poor service for a smelly car
Cons: Despite being the only person in the Hertz location, it took 59 minutes from the time I arrived for my scheduled pickup until I actually had a car to leave in. There was one person in the back cleaning the car and the guy up front doing customer service - he had to go back and help with the cleaning of the car. Then we did the walk-around verification and he was on a personal phone call the entire time. By the time I finally got in the "smoke free" car to drive off, the stench of stale cigarette smoke was sickening. I had no time to take the car back at that point so I had to spend the whole weekend with the windows down to not be ill. Upon returning the car yesterday the same Hertz employee was there and asked how the car was - I said it was fine aside from the overpowering stench of smoke in the "non-smoking car". He laughed and said "yeah, now I remember that cat reeked of perfume when it was brought in last week. We don't really pursue that stuff." I would never rent from this place again.
