Cons: They outright refused to honor the Kayak booking when I arrived in Ann Arbor. They said they were busy and management had instructed them not to honor online booking requests because of the demand even though I had a confirmed reservation. Honestly, I don't even think they check the Kayak bookings and just use it as a funnel to get people in the store without accounting for the actual online reservations in advance. Horrible experience and downright deceitful. I had to take a Greyhound bus from Ann Arbor home to see my family.

Car was not clean & the charges were very high for
Pros: Car and easy rental
Cons: I was informed that I will be charged for 1 hr additional for 15 min delay. However I was charged more than 50 % of the daily rental charge.
Also during pickup i have informed that i may delay in returning the car by one hour and the service personal said that he will accept the one hour delay without any additional charge. however i was charged as explained above.

Pros: Parking lot is close to the rental office
Cons: I tried to reserve a full size car. The car was not ready (48 hours are not enough) instead they offered a smaller car for the same price. Then they offered a SUV for extra money. As I had no time to select another rental agency I had to accept the offer. As the result, I paid more for the car I did not reserve.

Better than renting from U-Haul
Pros: I rented a pick up to haul a few things. It cost the same to rent a truck for a day from Alamo as it would have cost me to rent a truck from U-Haul for four hours. The truck itself was gorgeous and brand new.
Cons: The person behind the counter was pleasant, but there was only one person manning the counter for three rental agencies. It took over a half hour to check out.

The office was closed
Pros: To get a refund, at least. The office was closed and nobody told me when I rented the car.
Spent an hour on this, getting there and getting back, talking on the phone with their operator, who took 10 min just to acknowledge that the office was closed, something that already knew.
And they did no offer me any thing helpful. At the end I spent so much time that I was not able to do what I wanted to do on the day.
And I payed two Uber.
Cons: Their lack of professionalism, renting cars in closed offices.

Cons: I went into Alamo the day of my reservation and they said they didn't understand how I was quoted the rate given on Kayak. They wanted to charge me $70 more. After arguing for a while, they agreed to reduce the price to the original quote, but not give me my second driver. I was very disappointed with their reservation system overall.
