Cons: On collection staff just didn't seem bothered, talked amoungst themselves, left me standing there without saying what was going on and did not have the vehicle I requested and paid for. no GPS available either, charged more for insurance and took more than they said would cost when I returned the car.
I used them as was supposed to be the cheapest, don't fall for it, use a different company.

Hertz is garbage
Cons: everything. They didn't have a car for me even though I prepaid the fare and reserved a vehicle. Told me to come back the next day and MAYBE they would have one. I asked if I could pick up one from another location and was told it wasn't possible. After a little back and forth I made the receptionist called Hertz on my behalf to get a vehicle for me. Then they proceeded to tell me I was going to be charge a different rate which was three times the original booking. Spent another 2 hours on the phone with Hertz to speak to a supervisor and finally got a vehicle in a different location but still ended up paying more than my original agreement. Gold member at Hertz and I will never rent from this garbage company ever again. I would suggest you avoid the headache as well. I know you think the chances of this happening to you are slim, but believe me I've heard multiple stories about this company after I complained about my whole ordeal.

sent me to a closed location
Pros: The staff in New Orleans were very friendly, and I liked my car. The staff was helpful about telling me how to get credit back for insurance I didn't consent to pay for.
Cons: First, I was charge $143 for insurance that I didn't consent to. Then when I extended my rental till 2pm on a Saturday they failed to tell me the drop off location would be closed. It was a total nightmare.

Friendly person checked in our car
Pros: Good location downtown. Person who checked in car and provided receipt was helpful and friendly.
Cons: Not really any problem with New Orleans office. I just wanted to complain about what I'm learning about the "toll-by-plate" process in Florida and how Hertz is handling. I was not warned by either Hertz in Pensacola, or signs on the tollway. I used a road which listed a $4 toll, which I was expecting to pay when I left the road. But then I found that there was no place to pay. So then I expected to call either Hertz, or the Florida toll people, to give a credit card to pay the toll. Now I'm finding that I may be charge $4.95/day plus a service fee, in addition to the toll. (total of $30 or more for a 15 mile ride down a road that saved very little time) Apparently there's not a way for me to simply pay the $4, and my credit card is going to be charged for $30 or more automatically. What a ripoff. I hope someone in Florida consumer protection will get involved in this process, or there is some class action suit to get the situation corrected.

Pros: I thought I was picking up at the airport but made the reservation downtown. They made it easy to fix by telling me who to call.
Pros: The rate with unlimited miles and an additional driver was within my personal budget. I was able to take a road trip to 4 different states in a reliable car on great gas millage during the Thanksgiving week.

Pros: Upgraded to Mustang at no extra cost.
Cons: Charging 3X more than market value for gasoline is just stealing from people. Getting out of town is stressful enough without having to make sure to stop and fill up before returning the car.
