If you are primarily driving in downtown Kansas City, you will likely find it convenient to opt for a smaller car, such as an economy model or a sedan. Smaller vehicles are usually easier to maneuver throughout tight streets and traffic, and they also come in handy if you need to park in a small space. If you will be visiting with a larger group of people or going on a longer drive, it is usually best to rent a large vehicle instead, like an SUV or a van.
When driving on a rural interstate or freeway, the maximum speed limit is generally 70 mph. If you are driving on an urban freeway, the speed limit is typically 65 mph. In residential areas, there is usually a maximum speed limit of 40 mph, but it may be as low as 25 mph. When around schools or construction sites, the speed limit is usually either 20 mph or 25 mph.
Downtown Kansas City is known for having plenty of public parking to choose from. You can find both free street parking and metered spaces. There are also numerous free and paid parking lots and structures that are available. Many private entities, like hotels, shops, and restaurants also have their own private parking that is available for customers. In other neighborhoods outside of the city center, you are likely to find quite a bit of free street parking, and it is usually easier to find a free space, as it is less busy than downtown.

Pros:
Rental car was not available at location. I feel this was a scam/fraud. I am not able to get my money back. You should penalize vendors who take advantage of changing rental car location. My dad was sick in the hospital and this made it worse.Cons:
Full refund and penalizing Priceline for their fraudulent practices.2.0 Poor

Travelers are in a hurry, when we do a Phone SEARCH, MCI rental cars, we actually want to PICKUP at MIC airport. Travelers don't know what street address or zip code is at the downtown location. Then there's no way to call you, you were closed. I better NOT had been charged anything.7.6 Good
Aug 2020
Pros:
The pickup process was very quick. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was considerably less to pick up at the downtown location vs the airport- $200 less!Cons:
The downtown location didn't have a way to return the rental to them late Saturday or Sunday. I had to pay extra to take it to the airport, less than 1-2 day rental, but still a drag.4.4 Mediocre

Pros:
drop off was easyCons:
the car was dirty, the pick up attendant was short with me, the car was on empty and I had to repeatedly ask him to wipe off spit luggies from the inside of the car, he was hot and in a hurry, very transactional not the proffessionalism I am used to with you guys or other rental companies2.0 Poor

Pros:
Nothing! Terrible customer service!!Cons:
They booked me a time after they close for the day so I couldn’t pick up my car. I called the next morning when they opened but they had given my car away the day before. They wouldn’t honor my booking. They charged me double. They would’t “pick us up” (their slogan). Very frustrating!!!3 locations in Kansas City
