3 locations in Kensington
Pros:The staff wasn't outright rude at least.
Cons:I rented the car for two days. Once I showed up, the staffer said that the rental would have to be for three days, since the car rental place was closed on Monday. He also mentioned it when going over all the other terms of the rental; if I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't have noticed it. When I protested and said that we had agreed for two days, the staffer shrugged and said it wasn't their problem. The staffer wasn't rude or unprofessional, he just didn't care.
Pros:Nothing did not rent car
Cons:Not clear on their policies
Pros:Manager and her crew did their best to help multiple people not having a car waiting for them despite having a reservation ...
Cons:No car waiting us and, when it finally showed up, it reeked of pot. Since there was no other car, we had to take it. We ended up calling them and replacing the car with no problem, but still a total hassle ...
Pros:It was close and convenient
Cons:Poor customer service and excessive rules beyond standard rental companies.
8.4 Very good
Pros:The car was in good condition and operated well throughout the rental period.
Cons:The rental company had no record of the rental; we ultimately initiated a new rental agreement, which resulted in our paying an extra $50 over what was advertised on Kayak.
Pros:Got a great deal for a four-weekday rental, close to my home. I was in and out in ten minutes.
Pros:I did not like anything at all
Cons:They did not have any cars on the day of our reservation even though we booked our car in advance. The whole point of reservations is to book a car and time slot. They should not do over bookings and inform us in the case of car unavailability so that we can arrange our plans accordingly.
Pros:Staff were friendly.
Cons:Pick-up took an hour. Company is definitely a pandemic profiteer in several respects, one example being their toll policy. Many toll booths only accept E-Z Pass and not cash so the license plate is charged, Enterprise will charge the customer additional fees in addition to the customer paying the toll. I explained were I was going to staff (inter-state) and received no mention of this. I also informed them that I did not own a car and have not driven since the pandemic started. I should have been updated on current procedures concerning tolls. Enterprise is definitely not be my first choice in the future.
Pros:Staff friendly and helpful
Cons:But car reserved was not ready. Gave substitute car
Pros:Staff not helpful. Booked a cargo van and talked to rep one day before rental confirming pick up time, etc. When we got there - we were told that the van was in for an oil change. Took us 2 hours and driving to another rental location to get the van. Also two discussions with customer svc.
Cons:Everything! Not what I expected from Enterprise
8.0 Very good
Pros:Very good vehicle, good customer service, easy to rent
Cons:Waiting for the return
Pros:Great car, the Chevy Malibu.
Cons:1. When I arrived, they did not have the car, or any car, that I had booked and asked me to wait 30 minutes for it to arrive and be cleaned. 2. The agent had a Malibu and tried to sell it to me as a replacement at full-cost. 3. Enterprise has now for some years been playing the Rev-Max game, of revenue maximization ("Who wouldn't, how could we not??" they would say) whereby prices for the same car between Enterprise offices just 1-3 miles apart can be double. Ridiculous. 4. The drop-off back to Enterprise was made hardy by: - the Silver Spring downtown location has not parking for customers returning, it's a busy shopping center. - a half-witted agent made us all sign a Check-In log, then another agent came and proceeded to wait on two other folks returning before me despite the Log. - the agent tried to charge me the full-boat price for the Malibu, despite the original agent assuring me it would only be $10 more a day for it. - I had to spend another 1/2 or so of my life to just return the car. Go Avis, go Hertz, go anywhere but Enterprise...
Pros:The staff was friendly and pickup/drop off was convenient and quick.
Cons:The rental car I was given was an absolute disgrace. It was not cleaned, much less sanitized. It was a cheap tin can Kia that shook on the highway if you drove over 60mph. I did not feel safe at all. When I booked on Kayak, I saw I could get an SUV for just $1 more, but when I asked at the Avis counter they told me it would be an additional $20. I will not rent from Avis again with the condition of the unsanitary and unsafe car I was given. Very disappointed.
Cons:Somehow the Avis system couldn't process the rental for more than 30 days even though I was able to book the car online for more than 30 days. This caused a problem and delayed me when I dropped off the car.
8.0 Very good
Pros:Helpful staff, car was ready, not wait time and car was the size promised and clean.
Cons:The vehicle I reserved was not available. My reservation had to be transferred to another location to get the vehicle I had asked for.
Cons:Despite our reservation, they had no car. Manager told us she couldn't help, so we should call customer service. They offered us more expensive reservation at location 6 miles away, but at a branch that closed in 8 minutes. And they didn't catch the impossibility of traveling 6 miles across suburban DC in 8 minutes, I did!
