Cons: Downgraded to a smaller car. Literally take it or leave it. All other companies sold out. Car was dirty, smelled of smoke, and scratched all over. Absolutely horrible customer service and will never use dollar rent a car KC again.

Dollar is cheap, but at what cost?
Cons: Hidden fees. The insurance and "courtesy fees" resulted in a final price that was DOUBLE the estimate.
Despite the fact that you can make reservations for the early morning hours, they close at midnight.

Cons: The economy car I was given did not have room for more than two suitcases, the driver seat only had forward and backward adjustment not up and down.The exterior mirrors could not be adjusted from the driver seat. I asked to exchange the car for something better,, but all they had was a manual transmission. I had to go to another agency and pay a higher price because I had not ordered ahead of time. Horrible experience.
Cons: Instructions for returning the car were not clear (there was no attendant receiving returns when I arrived: do we leave the key in it or return it to the desk?) but this was answered quickly.

Great service, great price, great car
Pros: The service at the rental counter was very friendly, and the car was exactly as advertised. The car was very new (less than 3000 miles), and in perfect condition. The price was less than the other companies in the same rental car center at KCI.
Cons: Nothing, it was a good experience all the way.

Pros: Staff was courteous
Cons: I chose Payless because on kayak it stated it was located in the airport and I paid more assuming I didn't have to take a shuttle off site. All car rentals were offsite so not worth paying more. I was disappointed that kayak didn't have updated info.
Separate issue.... When returning the vehicle, they said I should go inside and wait in line for a receipt. This is the only car rental company that doesn't use a handheld device to print receipt for customer in the parking lot. Get with the times!!

Cons: Counter guy failed to return my license and credit card at pick up. I did not notice until later that evening, too late to take care of the problem until next day. Had to interrupt my plans to make return trek to airport to retrieve items. Different people working but no one seemed too concerned.
