Cons: There wasn't the class of car I booked available when I went to pick up the car. The company charged me to upgrade. The total price on return was way more than estimated cost at booking. The rental agent was very forceful in trying to get me to cover the car with their insurance at 28 dollars more a day, although I had two forms other coverage. I almost exclusively use National or Enterprise because they are the best, but this was a bad experience.

Cons: I paid with debit card and the price of the deposit based on a 2 day rental was not explained to me earlier.
Cons: I waited twice in line on the Saturday after New Years. No one but me had a reservation. The kid gave me the wrong car my first time through line. Made me get in the back on the line to get the right one. NONE of these people had reservations but me. So they were shopping which cars they wanted while he did the paperwork. It was stupid. Threw me the keys to a Chrysler 200 and I had reservation for a Chevy Malibu. Gave me zero direction with the car and it was dirty with a scratch on it. On the way to jacksonville I was trying to put gas in it and couldn't figure out where the gas cap release was. Was late getting it back and they charges an extra day. Hertz doesn't care about jack squat. And I will never use them again. But Kayak was ok.

Good car, not very clean or fueled up
Pros: The car worked great, overall experience of pickup and dropoff was fine.
Cons: The car was dirty (dusty, not gross) on the inside, dirty on the outside, and the fuel tank was at 3/8. We returned it at full so Hertz got some extra gas on us, and wouldn't give us any compensation. If it was the other way around you guys would have charged us - seems unfair!
