This was the easiest and quickest pick up I’ve ever experienced. Craig Eubanks made sure I understood what I was signing when picking up the rental and ensured I was comfortable with the vehicle offered. When returning, Craig made sure the experience was great and offered to make the experience better if it was not what I expected. Great customer service. I will return again.

Cons:

Every time I rent from this location the reservation time seems to be merely a suggestion. I have constantly been made to wait for the car to arrive and then be ready. This time my reservation was for 2pm and my car wasn’t ready until 3:40.

Pros:

The people were all nice and wasted no time to get me moving. They were also informative and helpful. The amenities in the car were nice. They inspected the vehicle before and after and I was in and out in 10 minutes. Good employees.

Cons:

I really didn't like the vehicle that I got. I got a Fiat 500x which ran really rough from 1st to 5th gear, literally jerking me forward with each shift. It was also not fun to drive, accelerating was rough, it was loud and the A/C didn't keep the car cool at all. Not a smooth ride at all. However my biggest complaint is that I reserved a RAV4 or similar category which has about 60+ cubic feet of cargo space and that is the only thing I needed from the rental, instead I received a small SUV which has about as much space as my Honda Civic. Had I known I would have just taken my Civic and saved myself the $341. It doesn't make sense to advertise a RAV4 or similar and then have this small Fiat in the same category and charge the same price. Waste of money.

I am a non smoker. Meaning never in life smoked cigarettes or marijuana. If a vehicle has any smoke smell, leave it out of service until the smell dissipates. Also, customer service would be communicating to the customer prior to assigning the vehicle. The smoke smell nor damage was communicated until after it was noticed at vehicle entry. I then returned to the counter to confirm all concerns were documented and they had been, but notccommunicated.

They gave a car without cruise control and they did not inform me even if they knew I was going on a 800m drive. They offered me satellite radio for example but they never thought of offering me a cruise control even at higher prices. I realized way to late that there was no cruise control, while on my drive. When I asked for a different car even in a different town they claimed there was none. The car I had was vibrating really badly at higher speeds (I am not sure if it was the mirror or the door) and the speedometer was jumping over 2-3 miles at these speeds instead of being continuous...This car had a milage of 33K but it drove like it had 130K. I would have never taken it in a long drive if I knew how it drove. I was hoping I was bringing it back in one piece. I will not rent again from this company.

Great experience. Ron, who’s been with Avis for 40 years, checked out the car to me, and his son Braden checked me back in. Both were consummate professionals and very personable.

The clerk was cool, but that was about the only thing I wouldn't complain about. First, doing the renting through the app was terrible. I ordered the $11/day insurance along with the rental, but when I placed the order, I got a message that said the rental had been done but they couldn't and didn't add the insurance. So, I got the insurance at the counter for $15/day, only to find out that the insurance HAD BEEN PURCHASED. I paid MORE for the insurance at the counter than I did for the insurance through the app. It was too late to change it, so I had to cancel the insurance that would have cost me less. Then, I used my zip card to make the reservation, because I wanted to break up my payments. When I got to the counter, the card didn't work, so I gave my credit card to hold the charge and THEY USED THAT FOR THE PAYMENT INSTEAD. I get the car and it looks like it's been sitting in someone's driveway under some trees. Little dead leaves and grit all over it! At least the interior was clean, but it was too small. My knees were scrunched the whole time. I adjusted the seat back as far as it could go and my knees were STILL scrunched. On top of that, I turn in the car at 6 p.m. as per the reservation. I find out the next day that I've been charged for a whole other day. Thank God that when I called, they immediately corrected it. But I'm skeptical whether I'll use their services, again. Needless to say, this was an all around horrible experience. Fix it so that there is no glitch or confusion with the insurance going through with the reservation. Have the car rinsed down before handing someone the keys. Have a more consistent system that recognizes different methods of payment both online and at the counter.

I was renting a car for work and when I arrived at my scheduled time to pick up the car they informed they had no cars and would not have a car for me. I missed all my work appointments and had to rent a car from another company.

I thought I was picking up at the airport location but it turns out it was about 30 mins away. Seems like it would be a simple fix but I was told that because I booked through a third-party that Hertz couldn't do anything. Also, the vehicle had a strong smoke odor on the interior...not cool when you're traveling with family and small children.
