Got shuffled from US Headquarters to Spanish reservation desk to local offices. Many calls, many attempts, and they could not figure it out. Promised to call back, nothing. Very poorly makred return point.Pros:Once inside everything went wellCons:Whoever put up the sign for return should be given a reality check. there was a sign but it was on a one way street and was facing the wrong direction. It could only been seen by driving by the entrance and then looking backwards to see it, not something that many people would do. We drove around the block (not easy to do) three times and until my wife got out and circled the block did she see the sign and direct me in. Bad service experiencePros:The car was actually ok.Cons:I had to wait more than 60 min- to get the car and consequently missed my golf appointment. They did not tell me where to drop the car off. I went to the office but they directed me to the garage where i picked ud the car. They could have told that in advance. Then i HATE, HATE, HATE renting cars online and purchasing some assurance at the same time, but then at the counter I am being told that I have zero insurance and do I want to take that risk? I could potentially go banckrupt if anything happens with the car. Do you know how the locals drive.?? That is the biggest problem when one company is responsible for the sale and another for delivering the car. It is not servie it is pestering the customer. Stop doing it. Try to be rental companies and not insurance companies and change the f.... busines model. It is sick. !!!Reviewed Oct 13 2017

Creat servicePros:Ms. Valerie Helped us to move the laggages all the way to the car. And helped us setup all the car seats securely. She was also super friendly. Great Car, Okay servicePros:The car was fantastic. Brand new without a scratch on it. It drove like a dream and came with a built in navigation system which was incredibly helpful. The car comfortably fit our needs and still got great fuel economy which was important in Europe as gas is much more expensive.Cons:The pick up process was confusing as we rented through Dollar but picked up a car owned by Thrifty and the rental was processed through Hertz. As they are all the same company, it makes sense, but we were confused. Additionally, we had scheduled a pickup and we didn't know we had to be at the office exactly at the pickup time. The service was fine but the attendant helping us out seemed less than thrilled because we weren't there exactly at our scheduled pick up time.Reviewed Jun 1 2017

Agent lied to upsell more products.Cons:-We were told upon pickup that an economy car would not be suitable for travel on the highway and we would have to upgrade. -We asked for a GPS so they rented us one for 24 bucks a day. We realized a few days later that the car we were driving already came with built in GPS. The company was still hesitant to refund our money. I'm not renting from Hertz again.Reviewed May 20 2017

Not much to like about the dollar / hertz / thrifty rental in BarcelonaPros:The car I received was nice.Cons:First, the rental in the Barcelona train station is not in the station but down the street. It is a Hertz Thrifty location worth no Dollar signage outside the store. It does not appear on any maps as a dollar location. The store was hot and crowded. There were 3 people handling a handful of customers, but 2 went on break. It took over an hour to get the car rental agreement. The cars are parked in a garage about a block away, but they told us the wrong floor, so it took another 20 minutes to find the car. It is in a rough neighborhood, so be careful.Reviewed May 13 2017
