It was close to where I needed to be Our first room had the wrong size bed, our second was 78 degrees and had a broken ac.. Four rooms and 1 hour later, we were in a room. Breakfast was awful. Cold coffee, wrong eggs, honey and no syrup. Very disappointing
clean and quite no
Convince to local areas. Associates were not friendly, my experience in the hotel restaurant was poor. 2 female associates were obviously having a disagreement and made it known in the dining area. Front desk associates were not helpful and did display annoyance at questions .
This hotel had no negative views. I read some negative comments prior to my stay. My room was very clean and my bed very comfortable. The free Wi-Fi was also a plus. The steak I had in the restaurant was 'pretty good' despite a hotel. The bar entertainment on Monday nights was ok but I didn't care for the local lowlifes trying to sing to the music.

It was clean and very family friendly. My sons loved free lemonade in the lobby. They have washers and dryers for guest use and there was no wait. Both my husband and I use a shower chair and were unable to get one. My husband fell in the shower as there was no nonstick mat.
rooms and amenities were fine terrible customer service random fire alarm in middle of night, and then they gave us comlpimentary breakfast coupons - that didnt include access to the hot breakfast bar - asking us to pay 5$ for it. just horrific
Very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly.
Great location on the way to the beach A little noisy, walls are thin
It was convenient for my meeting Ha Ha is this a joke
Staff was very helpful.
Great location for us, as we were traveling to see a concert at the PNC Arts Center. Nice area, with a lot of places around to grab something to eat or grab a coffee. Facilities are clean, and very quiet which was nice. The room was a tad outdated and the beds left something to be desired - back hurt for both my fiancé and I the next morning.
KUDOS!!! The staff was excellent! My stay was fantastic! Outstanding customer service skills! Great customer experience! Off season or non peak prices could be a little less. I would have loved to stay two nights.
Rooftop pool. Tiki bar. My account was charged in error for dinner at the hotel restaurant that I never had. It was difficult having the charges explained to me by the staff. it was eventually resolved.
Tough to beat the location - right on the beach and next to the boardwalk. Service everywhere was awful - front desk, pool bar, room service, you name it. Food and drinks were really bad too and over-priced. My advice is to book a room on sale and just use the hotel for its beach access, towels, and clean room. Do everything else outside of the hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location to where i was working, inconvenient to restaurants. Bed was a horrible sleep number. It wasn't even plugged in or a remote available when I arrived. They had to send someone up with multiple remotes to test and get something to work. After the first night the remote stopped working. Would not book there again.
Cleaness Breakfast time
Close to Newark airport. Far from NYC.
Nice comfortable stay Free breakfast was terrible
Clean and comfortable rooms. Right off the NJ turnpike. If I don't need wifi, I would stay here again. No wifi in room but there is a business center. Breakfast was bad - stale food with poor taste. A TV guide would be helpful.
the location was nice and the hotel was very spacious. not having a steam room.
Lobby and staff very good. Room was a dump. Dirty, stick carpet, damaged furniture and chair.
A friendly helpful staff There were no problems at all
I had no problems checking at 2am, and the room was quiet all morning.
Our sheets and towels were changed on the daily. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. We were staying for 9 nights and laundry services nor dry cleaning was available. No fridges available in rooms either. Our room smelled like cigarettes when it was stated the hotel was a non-smoking hotel. Besides starbucks not many nearby places to eat within walking distance. Ice machine broken on our floor and outdated decoration. A bit overpriced nightly rates for a hotel where nothing is inclusive (wi-fi was very limited, breakfast)
The hotel was a great deal, liked the location, was relatively quiet Some of the staff had attitude, expecially at the hotel restaurant which i would not recommend, 3star food at 5 star prices
Location and Price Maintenance. No one answers phone Hair Dryer was broken and UNSAFE. could have caused injury
This hotel had modern, large, bright rooms and a comfortable bed. The hotel was great, however, there was incredibly slow service in the restaurant. That being said, when they did arrive, the wait staff was courteous, efficient, and pleasant. Additionally, the food was very good.
Good food at bar. Breakfast was mediocre. Reception excellent.
Air conditioning made alot of noise. Called down to let the conceriege know that there was no remote in the room and nothing was done.
The only thing nice about this hotel was the pool. Large and heated. We reserved a 2 room suite. The hotel did not have this to offer. We were given a single room with two beds at the same price. Room did not have a mini fridge, there was a spot for one. Lights were missing bulbs. Shower felt like you were going to fall through to the floor below. Continental breakfast was only cereal.
I absolutely love the view from our window. I didn't like that the room didn't have a small fridge or microwave.
There wasn't much not to like about this place. It had a wonderful atmosphere, luxurious comfort and state of the art facilities. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The one thing I didn't like was that parking wasn't included.
Good Central NJ location at the junction of Route 18 and NJ Turnpike. 10 Minutes from Rutgers University in good traffic. Solid for business travel. Clean rooms. No frills here. Hotel rooms need serious update and makeover. Old furniture with chips in them. Lamps with electrical shorts. No mini-bar; no bottled water in the room.
The unprofessionalism of staff.
When I checked into the hotel I gave the front desk my debit card to keep on file for incidentals. I pre-paid for the hotel a month in advance of my trip so I should not have charged at all. Not only was my card wrongfully charged, it was charged 5 times! Resulting in over $1000 in charges and overdrew my checking account. This would have all been okay had the hotel taken responsibility, apologized, or offered to help me fix it. Instead they were very defensive, immediately said that they did nothing wrong and claimed that it must have been a problem with my bank. However, I just so happened to overhear another customer talking on the phone about the same thing happening to her. I asked to her to go to the front desk with me to confront them. Obviously we had two different banks so our bank was not the problem. The man at the front desk was very rude. He kept telling me not to worry about it and it wasn't a problem. My money was gone! of course it was a problem. Also, he still insisted that it wasn't their system causing the problem. He said "2 customers of 400 had this problem so its not likely it is our system". It wasn't until I checked out that someone finally admitted that they messed up. They then decided to tell me that they have a new system and are still getting used to it. Had they just told me this from the beginning I would have understood and been less upset. The problem is fixed now but the fact that they were so rude will stick with me forever. I will never choose to stay at a Hilton again.
Location Rooms smelled bad. Bed sheet comfort cover is outdated
The Staff was very helpful and friendly Its a very old building. We had a leak in our room and had to change rooms at 1:30 am. Then in the next room we were in, the toilet clogged. I was just surprise how much the hotel cost per night when considering those factors.
Location was where I needed to be, bar was expensive as was the room. Weddings took up most of the seating. Our "Garden View" room had no elevator service, 3 flights of stairs, smelled like mildew, was extremely small and our "view" consisted of a rusty crane and concrete. We asked for a change of room immediately, and were denied. We were charged 80% for our room when we left that same night (my wife REFUSED to stay in this dungeon), we were compelled to call relatives for lodging on River Road, where we should have gone in the first place. Amy, the Manager said "she would look into it". Will post another review if rectified.
The serenity of the facility and the staff. I did not like that the restaurant did not offer staple foods such as hot oatmeal for breakfast. For people allergic to milk we felt the restaurant should offer a substitute such as Almond or soya milk. We are ready to pay extra for this choice.
The bed was comfortable, the staff was eager to be helpful, and the bar was a great time. I look forward to our next stay there!
Room was comfortable and clean- bed and chair with ottoman Loved the refrigerator and safe in room Loved the shower set up totally cool! Loved the shower gei, shampoo. Body lotion, mouth wash and soaps Loved rhe coffee maker I'vei was surprised that the interior of the hotel although clean wasn't more modernized. I knew that I was staying at anRadisson Hiotel but looking around as one walks through the hallways to the elevator you don't get that Radissom vibe The rates are too expensive.
Room safe was inoperable. The sleep number bed controls would not work- fortunately the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We like to stay here due to its location and have done so for many years and expect to continue in the future.
Our sleep number bet didn't work with 2 people in it. Very uncomfortable
Good Location Old work out carpets in the room and hallway Smelly and dingy looking bathroom Seems to be an old building that needs some upgrade and facelift Noisy
Super comfortable beds, quiet and clean. The staff was great and the location was perfect.
They called and said they had rebooked me at the Hampton Inn across the street, which was one of the hotels I specifically avoided when booking in the first place. The second Hotel behaved as if the first hotel never let them know I was coming. I call shenanigans. won't be back unless the Verrazano collapses.
The staff did respond immediately to my phone calls and had security search the holes for this person but the club surrounding it inside the hotel does make it intolerable to have a good night sleep I don't recommend this hotel for single adult women that are trying to get a good nights rest because of the clubs downstairs and the drunks morning the hallways just not enough security to stop all that
The location was perfect for what we wanted to do on Staten Island. The staff was extremely friendly. There was a lot of noise from the hall way and surrounding rooms.
The entire hotel facility (especially the room) was very clean. Staff was great. Had nothing to complain about or wish to change.
Friendly staff and super clean environment.
Curtesy van was great. Picked me up at linden airport and shuttled me to the linden train station several times in 2 day. Always on time. Rooms were clean and complementary breakfast was good. I will stay here again.
Excellent staff, comfortable beds, and a clean facility LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ! I should have checked this one out on the maps before booking, it is next to what has to be one of the busiest intersections in NJ, heavy traffic kept me up Little to no sleep at all. The airport is the least of your worries when there is a drag strip of an intersection out front.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is close to airport, food and shopping. The front desk lied and said late check out was not available because all the rooms were booked for the next day. There were rooms available to book via Kayak as well as the Hampton Inn website. My flight was not until 3:45. I had to sit at the airport for hours.
Staff was top notch, very helpful and courteous, very comfortable quiet air conditioned rooms. Ice machine on top floor was broke down. No one had a note saying it was out of service. op blanket was lumpy from stuffing separating from cloth, kind of annoying.
there was so much noise in the hotel.....slamming doors people yelling and playing loud music......took staff over an hour to have people quiet down......
Nothing Sheets were stinking. poor hygienic conditions. We were itching all over in the morning after waking up. A whole bunch of smokers in the lounge that was stinking. The elevators were in poor condition. I would never stay here again.
no bathrobes need more towels in the bathrooms
room on ninth floor at end of hall too cold in hotel. could not use indoor pool or hot tub. only given one half roll of toilet paper . restaurant freezing , dinner order completely messed up and I was charged fully for it .will never stay at this hotel again
easy going, good hotel with nice facilities. Very close to metropark and not crowded
The hotel allows dogs. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold (it looked like someone had recently tried to paint over it and it was coming up again). There was a crack in the bathtub. There was mold all along the lip of the bathroom sink. The window frame was all rotted out and black. In our last night there, the room next door was having a loud party and it took several calls to the front desk to get someone to come and deal with it. When we called a third time, the front desk hung up on us. For $120/night, it was by far the worst hotel experience ever.
awesome ambience , nice and clean hotel rooms missing micro wave in room
Location near convention center Rooms are small and overpriced
The pool if it wasent thilthy Rude and unacomidating staff, dirty rooms, drug use in hotel No phones work in hotel to contact desk, dirty pool and hot tub, restruant is a joke, no WiFi working ,no safe in room ,couch had 2 different kinds of furniture cushions and were stained and flat made complaints to staff and they laughed
Lovely location, clean and comfortable large rooms
staff and location were great the fact that the breakfast is not included for that price...also the $20 in advance even if you don't buy anything, they still take $20 for accidental and they won't refund you for 3-5 business days....that is not right. bathroom area is okay, vary basic
Every time I visit Staten Island I stay here and it's usually the best place to stay until now. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and great water pressure in the shower. Rooms stay warm and cozy. Breakfast wasn't too good. People living in the hotel was uncomfortable. Wouldn't stay here again until it's ran like a hotel and not a homeless shelter. Random ppl who live here asking for drugs.
Room was available when we arrived, clean and comfortable Decor needs updating including bed and heating system
Staff was friendly and quiet hotel N/A
I loved the welcome chocolate chip cookies. That was absolutely such a wonderful thank you for staying at our hotel. Everyone was very courteous and there was a wedding party staying there also. Definitely a wonderful experience and will definitely stay again! Kaelynn was super accommodating to my parents whom both walk with canes! Their room was close to the elevator as I requested. Just a welcoming staff!
Very clean, 15 min drive to the beach, nice pool, right off the highway. All outside/back/side doors leading into the hotel are open at all times of the day and night and where they have it set to be keycard access only its always unlocked and open anyone can walk in, which made me a little nervous.
I stayed on a weekend night and was placed on a floor with a large wedding block. The wedding party was incredibly loud and the hotel staff could not seem do anything about it. While I can't fault the hotel for the behavior of the guests, I can fault them for their lack of response and follow up to my concerns.
The room smelled mildewy.
The price Was a little noisy at night. Sounded like the plumbing
Room was wonderful and very clean. Staff at the front desk were extra friendly.
The rooms smells humid, we checked 3 before deciding on the least smeally one.
Got bit by something. Probably a bed bug
-Bed and pillows were most likely the most comfortable I have ever slept on. -Staff was super friendly -Fridge and microwave in the room -Free Breakfast everyday -Clean room -Nice flat-screen TV -Lack of TV channels unless you like HSN or foreign TV -Would have liked some more selections for breakfast but hey it was free can't beat that. -Pool and hot tub should be open later.
After stepping into the room, I immediately checked the bed to see if the sheets were changed / crease free, and they were, though I was afraid to touch the blanket. The TV works well. Refrigerator in room. The room has a hardwood floor, the tub has a dirt ring around it, the lampshades are cracked and dusty, and the bed makes A LOT of noise. I was appalled to see a hotel room with a hardwood floor. The floor becomes very cold at night. After turning all three lamps on, the room lighting was still very dim. If it wasn't for the bright TV coupled with the lamps it would have been difficult to see particular items in the room. The hallway had a strange subtle smell to it. The water pressure in the tub was decent, except both the water in the tub and bathroom sink took a while to empty. The night front desk staff member looked like he was straight out of prison. I've never stayed at hotel where I've been forced to sign a contract.
Good hotel, I'll stay there again. Pool is closed too early and breakfast could be little bit longer too
The location is excellent. The riverside view is outstanding. The staff is friendly, helpful and available. This is a small hotel, perfect for a quick get-away. Walls are paper-thin.
beautiful view. nice comfortable bed. extremely noisy and intrusive housekeeping staff at all hours.
Friendly staff. Large rooms with great view. Walls must be thin and doors slam shut which woke me up at 3:00am!
You can get to Harold's from the lobby. If you are going to an event being hosted at the hotel, it is OK, otherwise, stay away. Essentially this is a no-frills hotel. Ice machines don't work and there are no refrigerators. AC is weak at best. Shades don't completely cover the window (at least in room 623) and the hotel light bleed into the rooms all night long.
Nice, spacious and clean room. Had to stay there due to the ash cloud. Very helpful staff, ordered take-away for us. Rates went up due to the high demand for rooms due to the ash cloud.
It is most dirty hotel i have ever been in my life. I habe travelled around the world. The room we checked in was not clean. There were hair on towel and and bed. Phoop in bathroom toilet. Disgusting most hotel.
I found the cost of international telephone calls ridiculous and therefore won't be staying at Holiday Inn again - there was no published rates on the phone calls and the staff seemed totally unaware of the costs of these calls.
Nothing Dirty rug, stained sheets, old furniture, smoke filled hallways! And I have kids under 4 who have bad allergies!
Tub did not drain
Smelled like smoke on the non-smoking floor Someone had punched through my inside closet door Tub would not drain Towels and coffee were not replaced
Nothing! Calling bank now to get my money back!
Basically it was just a place to sleep. You get what you paid for. A motel 8 is cleaner and more high quality then this place.
