Kayak sold me an invalid insurance that was not licensed in Costa Rica leading me to believe the rental was about half the cost of what it ended up being.. had I known the cost up front, I would not have booked the reservation. The beginning of our trip felt like a scam and now I have to try and get a refund for invalid insurance. WATCH OUT FOR THIS SCAMReviewed Apr 29 2024

Deceiving Insurance PolicyPros:By the time we arrived to Hertz in Costa Rica, we already purchased an insurance policy via Allianz, a reputable company that we have used for medical coverage as well. Hertz would not accept this policy and forced us to purchase their own at a higher value. From $99 to $245 dollars. I thought that was not acceptable and at this moment pursuing a reimbursement.Reviewed Dec 30 2016
