Rent at the airport was not actually at the airport. 1.5 hour wait on the line to rent the car in a hot room. Water available, but no cups for water, even when asked for. Forced sale for extra insurance. When returning the car, old dents and scratches were claimed new. Thankfully I had a video of all details when rented the car. People in Costa Rica are very nice in general. That is why I believe bad elements to be systematic for car rental business.Reviewed Mar 26 2025

Waited over an hour and a half for car pickup even tho there were 6 resos ahead of us. Agents tried very hard to upsell all the insurance they could, creating an even longer pick up experience. Car was great, price was decent so that was good but waiting so long as we did, it was not a great way to start the tripReviewed Feb 23 2025
