Poor credit card security & customer service
Cons: The agent in North White Plains, Xavier, did a credit authorization without telling me what he was doing. He proceeded to call a phone number without my knowledge and read off my credit card information to the person over the phone. Aside from the fact that he was reading my CC info to a stranger over the phone without my prior knowledge, I was very concerned because there was a lot of people waiting in line, while Xavier read all of my CC info aloud, for all to hear. I tried to interrupt him, to stop him from revealing my CC info to everyone, and he was annoyed and snapped at me. Xavier didn't give me any instructions or info other than my contract, which he didn't even tell me was my contract. He didn't tell me how to drop off the car upon return either. He just handed me the keys and told me to find my car. Very poor customer service.

Hertz rent a car experience
Pros: Ease of access (right in front of a Metro North station). Very convenient.
Cons: I asked for the option to buy gas at particular rate upfront (instead of filling the tank myself before I return). It was not on the record according to the agent who helped me return the car. The car return entrance is not clearly marked.

Pros: Really great employees, helpful, professional, friendly. Close to station . Dropoff was easy.
Cons: Car was 1/2 hour late.

Cons: $200 holding charge was not communicated verbally to us in the office. Not a nice surprise. Also the car they initially gave us didn't have working motor functions to move the seats back/forward. The cars need to be inspected. What else could have not been working? Disappointing rental with Hertz- not sure if I would use again.
