My trip was supposed to cost $1214.33. Budget receipt showed a charge of $1278.83. My amex charge to Budget was 1478.83. Budget agent said $200.00 would be credited to my Amex Card. That leaves $68.50 that Budget overcharged me.

They didn't accept Affirm for payment but on your website you guys said I was able to use Affirm at check I was very disappointed with Kayak . I doubt that I'll ever use your company again . Getting told at check out that budget doesn't accept Affirm as payment really put a strain on my trip !!!!

It was a good rental. The only problem we had was after flight delay and we landed in Key West the Budget rental booth was closed! We had to go to the Hertz booth to rent a car to get us to our house.

Pros:

Mack was so helpful! He tried to help my reservation when my flights were rerouted and we got in an hour later than expected. He really went above and beyond to try to accommodate the change in plans.

Cons:

Closing the office prior to the arrival of the last fight is problematic, there were a number of folks stranded without their rental car. This resulted in additional taxi fees from and returning to the airport to pick up the vehicle during the next days business hours. If business hours could be extended, the arrival in Key West and Avis experience would be more enjoyable.

Car was nice, except had 3rd row of seats that would not go down to make better access for suitcases.

Cons:

We returned this car early. AVIS would NOT credit us for the unused days, but instead charged for the full amount. This amount came to over $400. When we picked up the car in Key West, we mentioned that we might return it (to Cutler Bay) early. Nothing was said at that time about the full charge or changing our contract. In Cutler Bay, they insisted on charging the full amount. VERY POOR customer service. Will never rent through AVIS again.

Easy pick up. Car had a damaged bumper when I picked it up, but it was documented. When dropping it off at the end point, they questioned the bumper multiple times and made it seem like it never should have been on the road.

We had a 10am airport car pickup at Key West International Airport. No cars were available at 9:50am when we arrived. We had to wait until 10:30am for next car coming back to be washed and cleaned. No one asked about Sun Pass. Will have to pay a fortune for each toll we went through without Sun Pass on the car?

Arrived at the pickup time. They were closed. Came back the next day to get the vehicle, it wasn't ready. After an hour long wait, the vehicle was presented to me. Clearly it was rushed. Did not have a full tank of gas. There was no walk around to inspect the vehicle. I took off with the vehicle. Already late for my meeting. Upon drop off in Miami, I was informed that there was damage to the vehicle on the passenger side rear door. Since it was a black vehicle and on the passenger side, I did not notice it on pickup. So in Miami I was informed that I will be charged for the damage.

Reserved a full size sedan in Key West. Only available was a compact. Had no choice and told it was an upgrade. Could not debate as that was the only car available. I took out collision when reserved with Kayak which also covered 2nd driver. I was told that would not give me coverage and second driver had additional charge. I ended up paying twice the amount I locked in on with my reservation. Very disappointed in Enterprise.

The Hertz location where I was supposed to drop off the car was closed and I didn't know exactly what to do. I wish the employee had told me this when I picked up the car in Key West. There shouldn't be any ambiguity when dealing with a car.

The woman checking me out and setting up the rental was hands down the rudest woman I’ve ever dealt with at a rental car facility. There was a tropical storm and people were trying to leave and she made it extremely difficult and spoke extremely rudely to myself and other. Horrendous service.

Horrendously disinterested staff at Dollar in Key West airport. If the woman working there had been paid to provide a poorer pickup experience I doubt it could have happened. Being friendly, a smile, a hello, hell, just looking up from your phone or saying thank you when handing back a credit card could have made a difference.

Key West airport is crowded and when we arrived the Dollar rental sign was off. There was a small sign to go to Hertz that I didn't see until most of the crowd had moved out. Then, there was only ONE agent working. Clearly, there should have been more agents there. Thankfully, there was no line when there for drop off.

Dollar did note have the car I reserved on lot. They instead gave me a compact SUV and charged me for the full price of the premium convertible I reserved. Since it was booked via Kayak I couldn't get a refund and there were no other options available. Overall, I would not book a car from Dollar again not use a third party website like Kayak.

Staff was reluctant to help. arrived at pickup and was told cara wouldn’t be ready for another 2 hours.. which was 4 hours over our original pickup time. Stranded at an airport waiting for our car.

Car was not available upon pickup. Was told three hour wait but did not get called for seven hours. Car was dirty and windows needed to be cleaned from all the previous dirt and grim. Customer service disconnected my call six times while trying to remedy the problem

We had a reservation for 9AM to drive from Key West to Miami. The car was not ready for us to drive away until noon!! When we checked in, the attendant said the car would be ready in an hour, but really took three hours. By the time we left there were 150 people in line waiting to check in to pick up their rental. Airplanes continued to arrive throughout the period with people expecting to pick up a car and continue their journey. Airport security was having a fit trying to make people maintain social distance when the airport physically did not contain enough space to allow 150 people in line waiting and people arriving claiming their bags on the baggage carousel to maintain distinace. The entire problem was caused by National, Enterprise, Alamo car rental mismanagement and inability to think outside the box. In fact, I watched two employees show up to work then disappear when having to confront unhappy customers looking for an explanation for why they couldn’t get their car.

Would never recommend ACE to anyone going to Las Vegas. Not only is the facility in the back of an unlit/unsafe area, the staff was completely unprofessional. When I asked why I need to pay $500 upfront for a $40 2 day reservation, no joke the guy looked at me and says, "in case you smoke in the car". I have NEVER paid a deposit on a rental car in Las Vegas or anywhere for that matter. The staff unfairly profiled me when I don't even smoke. Let it be know, I instantly walked out of there and paid Uber instead.

Staff were not friendly at pick up or drop off. Total advertised price was inaccurate. When providing our own insurance, service representatives were snippy as soon as they realized they would not make that extra $ off us, they kept threatening penalties, coverage gaps, and potential legal action even though proof of full insurance coverage was provided. We were provided with a vehicle from Nevada with summer tires and 2 wheel drive even after explaining we would be crossing the mountains. At drop off the receiving staff was angry and rude. ACE will not be getting our business again and should likely just advertise their true price so they can pay their staff more. I’ll gladly pay the extra (as advertised) cost for a properly equipped vehicle from a more reputable rental company. Do better ACE.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
