We got to budget at DIA around 11:30pm on 2/9/24. There was a huge line. It was not moving. I asked people who had been in line for 90mins and they still had half way to go. Terrible! So slow. Miserable. We called uber and went to our hotel. Budget at DIA: horrible experience.

The staff was nice, they were helpful

Cons:

The car was late to drop off and was not cleaned out but we were going on a family trip so we needed to leave. There was a nail in the drivers side tire and we used fix a flat and after hours drop off so I could not tell them. Not sure if the nail was in the tire when we picked it up but we were far from any towns and limited cell service so we did what we could do.

Only issue was Avis Lakewood overcharging me at return. They quickly fixed this after I called customer care, but I don't appreciate having to find extra unauthorized charges on my credit card and spending time on the phone to get it fixed.

Cons:

The woman who serviced us upon arrival was very rude. Especially, with the drop off. We were supposed to do a key drop off box. The place suspended that activity and never let us know. There was nowhere to leave the car and we didn't know what to do. She must have seen us from a distance since the office was closed and came over to ask about us. Her response was well today is your lucky day. not, I'm sorry for the inconvenience we should have contacted you telling you our policy has changed nothing.

Pros:

Dakota at the Laramie, Wyoming office treated me with respect, professionalism, and excellent customer service. At every step of the way during my rental period, he ensured the process ran smoothly and, when I had minor difficulties on the road, he took immediate and decisive action to ensure a swift resolution to the problem. He made the entire process enjoyable and worry free. Though the Silverado had some minor cosmetic damage, the truck preformed well above my expectations in all weather and road conditions. I highly recommend Dakota and the Laramie office, and would rent from them again in a heartbeat.

Pros:

I really enjoyed the value for money! Enterprise car rentals prices are just beating any other car rentals company and the cars look brand new.

Cons:

One thing I didn't like was the additional costs they charge you for everything and anything. My very first price was $50 for three days and ended up with $180!! They said I could upgrade my car for only $10 more per day which I decided to chose but if my math is good this only makes it $80 total and not $180. So I asked what was this $100 extra charge and they said it was the full insurance package that comes with the upgrade. So I told them it was way beyond my budget and told me they couldn't go below $130 which I had to pay after all. My advice to you: be very carefull when renting a car, if you need an insurance get it online when booking the car ;)

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!

This was the worst car experience I ever had. My reservation was for 12pm but the car rental agency is. closed from 12pm - 2pm. When we showed up at 2pm they said because it had been two hours the reservation was cancelled and the car was already resold. BUT ITS NOT POSSIBLE as they were closed so how did they sell the car. Anyway they almost ruined our vacation but luckily there was a RENT - A - CAR across the street with a super friendly staff and ended up being cheaper. NEVER USE ALAMO IN DAX

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

When I went to pick up the car at Hertz, I was told that the vehicle license fee and taxes were not included - and was charged an additional $6.74. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile.
