I enjoyed everything about my stay! The bathroom being too small was the only thing I wish I could change!
Instant access to car, convenient location. It was expensive and breakfast is not included!
I thought it was a very good hotel. I didn't have any issues and bed was comfortable and all was clean, I will stay here again if I need to.
Great service by front desk person Alyssa. She was the best part of the stay. First floor rooms hve very thin walls. Was able to hear every word of a conversation people were having outside. Air unit in room was VERY loud. Made sleeping difficult
Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. The hotel itself is fine. Big rooms but not much in them. Didn't get my Redipoints because I booked through this site. Silly policy.
Nothing The room smelled so awful like smoke that I had a migraine the whole time. You truly will get what you pay for here and we will never be back. Everything is old and shotty, and the walls are paper thin, you hear it all!
Spacious room bed frig microwave Na
It was a room with beds. Staff was nice. This is the kind of place that you worry if you locked your car or not. I doubt they enforce their non smoking policy. Bathroom was smaller than an outhouse. I was relieved to leave.
it was more comfortable than I thought it would be. All in all, I would have stayed again and will in the future, not bad but definitely not a higher end place...but good over all...don't expect the world here. most of the items were outdated, low qaulity and barely useable...all looked rather in need of repair but it is the Red Roof so expect less and be happy!
Nice location. Close to freeway. Big room. No breakfast though except for coffee.
clean, warm, friendly staff, inviting
We absolutely enjoyed our long holiday weekend stay at Sonesta ES Suites Cleveland Airport! The apartment-style accommodations made it possible to lounge and get comfortable (and not feel the dreaded "cooped up feeling" of being in a hotel room! We were able to cook several meals in the well-equipped kitchen, relax on the sofa, and stream our Netflix on the TV. The staff was exceedingly friendly and went above and beyond to make the most out of our stay. The hotel was in great proximity to wonderful restaurants and it was a quick drive from the airport, downtown Cleveland, and the mall. And the price! WOW! It was by far the most affordable of all the hotels we looked into - by at least $50-100 a night. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to seek out Sonesta hotels in all cities we travel to!! We stayed in the "West Wing," which was lovely; however, it did not have an ice machine. The rooms have freezers, but you must make your own ice. Fortunately, guest services gave us plenty of ice to last us the long holiday weekend!
Me and my husband are a young married couple and we spent our 4th anniversary in Ohio at this hotel. Our stay was a great experience it was like a nice studio apartment with a fireplace and private entrance. Variety of free breakfast food was also included. Staff was also very nice. This will be our first choice of hotel stay when we visit again!!!
Close to the airport Breakfast Buffet Pillows were excellent Downstairs meeting rooms were nice (though I wasn't there for a meeting) Couldn't find my reservation and had to wait 20 minutes for a manager to come down to work on some computer issues. My card was charged twice for the stay The photos for the hotel do not match the actual condition of the hotel. It appears that nothing has been upgraded/refreshed in > 10 years. Pealing wallpaper, missing baseboard molding, musty smells were prevalent in the hallways and in my room. My room had drywall next to the air conditioning unit and the door to the hallway squeaked like it was 200 years old, The room was not cleaned during my two night stay For the money this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at hands down, and I am a frequent business and leisure traveler
Front desk staff was wonderful! Made us feel welcome and important! Shuttle driver to airport was not friendly - not even a good morning! Offered no info or offers of info on how to get to gates - which at an airport under construction would have been helpful!
They were very busy, but handled check-in well. Room was well appointed, clean and nice.
Fast. Clean and quiet
The clean room. That the hotel was a little outdated, I stay with Marriott frequently and I feel the professionalism of the staff was non existent. They did not even thank me for my stay upon checkout.
I loved the bed and the room was the perfect temperature. It was quite. Perfect for anyone that just needed a place to sleep and are much more active than we were. Their is no room service that we found. The sink being outside the bathroom was weird. The restaurants nearby closed pretty early leaving fast food as the only other option.
Booked online and received a booking confirmation, upon arrival was informed by the manager of a glitch. He did a very good job of helping get us to an alternate property. What happened between booking, confirmation and arrival? This was very frustrating as we were coming for out of town.
This was one of the friendliest places we've stayed. Everyone, from the front desk to the service staff, was welcoming and cared about our stay. Within minutes of checking into our room, the front desk called to ascertain if all was well with our room. The room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning, as we were headed to breakfast, the service staff asked about our room and if it met our expectations. The breakfast area had plenty of seating and a separate space for the food. It was easy to navigate around, although there were a fairly large number of people in attendance, and it didn't make you feel like the area was an afterthought that was just stuck on with a couple of boxes of cereal and lukewarm coffee. Breakfast included fresh, hot eggs, choice of meat, fresh fruit, bread choices, and wonderful coffee. We usually stay at the Express place, but my experience here may definitely change our preference. This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it!
Great, friendly staff. Great breakfast options. Hot and cold items. Very clean facilities with plenty of space. Large rooms.
great breakfast!! the location was great for me while my son visited BW. booked online and my reservation was ready, no problems. had a few cookies and was offered a bottle of water while checking in.
The rooms were Clean and Maid service was Good 1) Internet was slowest and dropped you off every 5 minutes. worst on a hotel in last 3 years 2) TV channels and remote poor and no premium channels . 3) Noisy from water running in surrounding rooms.
You get what you pay for.
The wifi and tv workedso that was a plus The carpets were dirty the chain in the corner was stained. The extra towels in the bathroom were dirty the throw blanket had cigarette burns all over it. It was just down right dirty
Room was clean along with the bathroom, we had enough towels and toiletries available. On an extended road trip so only stayed one night, it was well worth the price about 80$. Slept well, no external noise, a/c worked well, furniture in decent shape. Breakfast was included and had a good variety. Was not able to check out the pool but it looked clean from the gate. Would recommend this motel to others. Unfortunately, the pool doesn't open early but that was the only issue with the stay. Not a big deal. It does stay open later until 11pm I believe.
The price was very convenient on a tight budget. The room was suppose to be smoke free and yet it reeked of smoke. The sink faucet only provided VERY hot water regardless of where the handle was placed and the bathtub handle was so wiggly that it was hard to turn on/off or even adjust the water.
Our room had an extra towel, an extra pillow on each bed, and an ironing board and iron. But what really impressed me was the refrigerator and microwave which is great for an extended stay. Comfortable and clean and friendly staff, I would definitely stay there again.
Service was amazing Room was very clean Desk personnel friendly, professional, and helpful Amenities were plentiful Carpeting was worn
Utilitarian. Just needed a place to crash when i was stranded in Cleveland overnight. This place fit the bill. Wasn't QUITE as close to the airport as I thought. Said 5 minutes but felt more like 10-15. Also, while the airport pickup was prompt, the shuttle TO the airport ran only every 30 mins.
It was close to the Cleveland airport. The room was clean and quiet. The desk clerk was very efficient and helpful. I did not know ahead of time that they had a "park-and-fly" option. I would have used it.
clean and comfortable and cooperated staff
leaving. We arrived around 2AM after driving from Sandusky (we're originally from IL) and went to check in, the desk clerk (best description since it was actually the head of house keeping and she was just "coverin' someone shift") gave us our key to our room, we went to get settled and the room wasn't cleaned AT ALL, no sheets on the bed, etc. So I went back to the lobby (if that's what you want to call it) and requested a different room, this time non-smoking, as the last room was also a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking. She said "awh, I don't even know was goin' on cause you ain't the first person to tell me they room ain't clean, but we ain't got no more rooms." So I ask if maybe there was a sister motel and she said they aren't affiliated with any other motels but when they "full up" they send people down the road to another place (other motel name not included). So I try to get a refund and since my mom was the one who treated us by paying on her card (mind you, she's still in IL) and we booked online she said she, couldn't give a cash refund and she had to call booking.com to run it. She also needed the credit card number and demanded that I call and get it (again, 2AM in Ohio and 1AM in IL) I tried to call and obviously my mother was sleeping so she didn't answer (in the meantime this lady is flipping through channels on the television, acting QUITE impatient), she gave up on the refund and gave us someone else's nonsmoking room. We go to that one and it's also fairly dirty (gross hairy tub, gross hairy sheets, bedding in general not washed and the room smelled like urine). We gave up and just put our own sheets etc. on the bed and went to sleep. Between 1030 and 11AM, house keeping is rapidly POUNDING on our door, 3x in less than 30 seconds before announcing that she was coming in. My fiancé quickly got up and she asked if "we was leaving" he replied no and shut the door, 10 minutes later I step outside to the car and she's still outside the room and now asked me "ya'll leavin' yet?" We checked out 20 minutes later unable to even get a receipt apparently once again the reasoning was because we booked online. Long story longer, avoid at all costs if you want to feel clean when you stay at a hotel.
Cost Should be more clear and secure
A place to sleep . got to sleep until noon. I felt safe. People didn't bother me. No tissues. WiFi isn't free. No shampoo or conditioner ( I brought my own just trying to help others)
I originally liked the price I was quoted only to find out later on my credit card bill I was over charged. I should have taken more time to look over but with the scene going on with the police I just wanted to get out. It gives a wacky story to tell about taking a child to college. It should have been a sign to leave when we saw the trail of blood that led to the room before ours but we stayed after a long drive to Cleveland. The room smelled like smoke in a supposedly non-smoking room and felt dirty. Not once were the sheets changed in the 3 days there nor was the trash emptied. I had to ask for clean towels but the used ones were not picked up. The tub was clogged so when you showered the water filled to ankles. From walking in the room only barefoot the bottom of our feet were so dirty. Police sirens heard throughout the night. When we checked out around 3 AM 3 police cars were in the parking lot apprehending a man who was screaming near the front desk. I have never written any review but this stay was so unbelievable I had to.
i had a place to sleep SHEET WERE CLEAN Toilet seat had cig/ burns in seat, Counter dirty not clean end table food stuck on it not clean, Non smoking room smelled like smoke! bathroom counter looked like it was cleaned with dirty rag bed smelled DIRTY wall paper falling off wall in bathroom carpet stained and dirty this place needs an over haul security you can walk right in the front door and and have assess whole place no one at front counter
Underwear found in first room, loose change on bathroom floor in second room. Odd and not clean.
I liked the tiny pool
Shuttle service to CLE airport.
Good location, nice malls right next to it, as well as wallmart and target, nice restaurants very closeby, shuttlebus to and from airport, friendly helpful personnel. No waterboiler in the room! A bit outdated.
The stay was great and the staff terrific They never had the reservation I made with your company. I had to call the hotel directly and make my own reservation. How in the world could I get in touch with you? You had a phone # I never heard of nor did anyone else.
The lady at the front desk sometime after 11 P.M. on November 24 was friendly, professional, and helpful. She had a customer on the phone that I think she was being very patient with, based on what I heard of the conversation, but she made sure the whole time that she knew I was waiting and tried to expedite my request at the same time. Our biggest complaint was that the sleep number bed was uncomfortable. I don't know what kind of deal you got on those, but they hurt. Also, the shower was dank and dark. With the sloping in the tub, I'm not sure how somebody who's older or in any way disabled would handle it--I almost fell several times and I'm in fairly good shape. The ceiling was oppressively low, and we only received one regular coffee packet, so only one of us had coffee.
Only location Dirty, internet not working and poor selection at breakfast.
The first room didn't have a refrigator . The airconditioner would not work. The carpets were filthy.we called them about 3 times. They finally brought us a refigator that didn't work. They finally moved us to another room. They had to bring ua a refigator in for that room. It kept things cold but water ran over the floor when it defrosted. The carpet in this room was filthy too.The bathroom door wouldn't cliose. They need to shut it down till they get it in better shape. They wouldn't give us our moiney back for the second night..
Continental breakfast choices included 4 kinds of cereal, milk, orange and apple juice, coffee and tea, bagels, and sweet rolls. Blood on the elevator wall, peeling wall paper, safe missing the electronic locking device, toilet paper and tissue inadequately stocked, no cold water for the shower (only scalding hot water), floors in the hall way were a mess, pool looked unappealing.
Nothi,g The front counter person was inappropriate and the room was dirtty
Cost Parts of hotel looked like war zone. 2 panhandlers hit me up before got in front door. "Non smoking room"...smelled otherwise... Was a deal for the cost--probably not go back.
The room was clean enough. No hot water in the building the first morning, hair dryer was in 2 pieces and we had to call twice to get a new one, nobody brought new towels when they took the used ones out. Even when I asked the front desk for them, she said they were "all in the wash" and asked for my room number, but didn't write it down so of course we never got any. Also, the breakfast was sad and half of the building looked like it had been condemned. Even if the hotel wasn't costly, I still expect functioning amenities & a staff that will help you remedy the myriad of issues you encounter.
Nothing Everything terrible hotel
It's close to the airport. The shuttle service to the airport was convenient. I liked the pillows, but that's because I like tend to like less fluffy ones. The pillows at more luxurious hotels usually end up giving me a neck ache in the morning. The bathroom was surprisingly not too bad. The carpet in the room was disgusting. The drapes were too short to fully keep out the bright glaring lights in the parking lot. I had forgotten my toothbrush and they didn't have any at the front desk. There were cigarette burns in the bedspread. The room smelled of a combination of stale smoke and stale marijuana. The bedside clock was broken. Peeling paint and wallpaper everywhere. the price is lower than the other hotels nearby, but not really low enough given the accommodations.
The place was dirty. The towels were ragged and worn out. There was only one bath towel and one floor towel in the room. We asked for more towels and were told we have to take the soiled towels back to the room. The airport shuttle smelled of cigarette smoke. It was not a very pleasant stay for one night.
The front desk lady was manageable to work with. Bed was still wet, the ceiling walls were dipped in and the paint was hanging down. The bathroom wasn't cleaned. The carpet had black and brown stains. We decided to go to another hotel even if they didn't refund us the money.
Staff and location Kayak did not submit our reservation. We were lucky to get their last room!
The staff was excellent and accommodating! They made our stay much better The hotel is under a serious renovation, which is very much needed. The rooms are old, dirty, and way outdated. The room we stayed in reaked of cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The most interesting part was when the renovation team knocked on the door wanting to replace the door handles while we were inside sleeping after a long night of travel. They then hammered, drilled and grinder at the door while we waited. Hopefully the renovation they are going through will vastly improve this hotel.
My son and I were just traveling through , but the hotel was nice. Our room great and bed very comfortable
The hotel was clean and quiet in a nice location. The staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was also good as well.
I just stayed for one night on my drive from the northeast to Chicago. The hotel is in a nice and quiet location. I had my car loaded from moving and I felt comfortable leaving my belongings in the car overnight. I didn't do much in the room besides sleep, but the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was decent and in line with what I have had at extended stay hotels like Homewood Suites. There are some restaurants very close by which was nice when you are a weary traveler. No complaints.
The tub/shower did not drain.
The power went out for awhile and the air conditioning went out for several hours through the night making it impossible to sleep. The air didn't come back on until 2 in the morning. It was not a good night of sleep at all. If that didn't happen, the stay would've been great. Unfortunately, it was miserable.
I felt like the hotel was clean, and staff was fantastic, going out of their way to accommodate, always with a smile on their face. I don't feel like it was worth the money. Everything is ala carte, and for a pretty short window of time when you can order breakfast. The couch in the room was weirdly shaped. Really deep and awkward to sit on.
The Hotel rooms were decent and had the normal amenities. The location was excellent as it was mins away from most things around. The staff was polite and courteous even to us out of state fans. Only thing was the pool area could use a slight make over. There was chipping paint and water marks around. Other than that, nothing really else.
There was some work done and i was surprise to hear construction noise at 9 am
Coffee available 24 hrs. Day staff not helpful, evening staff was almost rude. Light from the hallway passed thru all along the top, bottom and lock-side of the door. So did the noise. At the end of a 10-15 minute shower, the water in the tub was 2-3 inches deep, because of a slow drain.
Comfortable beds Showers are a little questionable.
Breakfast area was not big enough to accommodate the amount of guests there. Constant noise in the hallways from other guests and our room has so much furniture in it it was hard to move around in .
Went there to have some time alone with my wife, but if I were on business it would have been fine as well, it's right next to the highway, shopping and dining are right there. Room was a bit on the smaller size, WiFi sucked.
Friendly staff, clean. Very accessible to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Multiply eating restaurants within 1/4 mile of hotel. It was a very pleasant experience. Barb and Robin
Comfortable beds. Good breakfast selection. Room was pretty clean and did not have smell like many hotel rooms do. Internet kept cutting out. TV remote did not work, not even second remote we were given. Fresh smell of tobacco and marijuana smoke in stairwell.
No hot water ruined it for me
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The wifi did not work at all, as a business traveler, this was a huge problem.
The location was the only plus. Very close to the airport. When we arrived, we were told that we got the last room available, despite our reservation. Our room was extremely smoky, as was the entire 4th floor. If you want a college Dorm feel with the charm of a 1970's New York City apartment, then this is the hotel for you. No privacy curtain and blinds did not close all the way. No bathroom trashcan and soaps and paper products had not been properly supplied. The hair on the toilet and in our towels was a nice touch as well. We asked to move, and there were no other rooms available. We asked to cancel the additional days' reservation and were told we would have to call the company we booked through online. Literally, on the way back to my room to do this, they charged our card for the remainder of the stay. So, we just stuck it out. Never again.
Rooms were luxurious and comfortable and super clean even when a black light was taken to the rm nothing was found. Staff was very professional and gave superior customer service.
I was in Cleveland to attend a music festival for about 5 days. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean. The hotel is about 20 mins drive from the downtown, there are lots of restaurants and fast food places around. It would be helpful if they had breakfast, but again, it is an extended stay place, so you know what are you getting into. Overall nice experience. If I go back, I will stay there!
