I asked for ez pass since I was traveling from NYC to VA and the lady behind the counter said the car had ez pass in it but the car didn't. She didn't walk me and my husband to the car only from 20 feet away she pointed at two of them and said to pick one. Lo and behold, no ez pass! Which we didn't discover until we were on the highway and had to back up and pay by credit card. Terrible! I will never rent with National again!Reviewed Nov 18 2021

Ah details. All was great; only very annoying fly in ointment - entrance to drop off location not marked. Please go to Boston location and see there's construction everywhere, several garages in block and the address nonsensical - 2 given, one doesn't exist (at least from car) and other the starting with # 50 actually came after 100 and then 110. Not until a very stressful time (no one to ask on a Sunday early) did we find that 50 was indeed after 100 and 110. Not a sign for National to be seen anywhere (it was there AFTER entering very the messy garage with construction everywhere) that we encountered a sigh. PUT A SIGN AT ENTRANCE!!!!! Otherwise great, James G. who helped with car absolutely great, the woman at counter who directed me to James G. whose name I didn't catch also great, the driver of shuttle really nice and person who directed me to counter also wonderful. So you get al 5 stars, deducting nothing for your missing sign because your staff in NYC otherwise compensated greatly.Reviewed Oct 12 2021

Pros:I had to call both Lynchburg and Queens National locations prior to pickup, and though my issue was not able to be resolved ahead of time, Cody in Lynchburg and Elena in Queens were extremely courteous and helpful. At the time of pickup, the counter staff was helpful and my pickup was smooth. The gate associate was personable and helpful as well.Reviewed Nov 3 2020

Pros:The staff at the National pickup in Queens gave us the wrong information about adding another person. They insisted that my travel partner was not covered on the insurance and were very dismissive and unhelpful about how we could resolve the issue. Upon going to another National car service location at Newark airport (far out of our way to our travel destination) we finally received some helpful advice from the clerk there. I was very upset that the National Car service location in queens was not more informed on the issue and helpful. It seemed like they just wanted to clock out and didn't care about nay type of customer service. I WILL NOT be renting from National againCons:The customer service and transparency on terms.Reviewed Sep 21 2020

Pros:Drop off was easy. Staff were very easy to talk to and accomodating regarding vehicle type and availability.Cons:The line to get to the counter before pick-up was very long, and like all car rental places, very slow. There was a bit over an hour waiting in line.Reviewed May 26 2020
