My boyfriend and I stayed at the Seton Hotel for our night in Manhattan. It was very clean and safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our needs; a little small but still lovely. Everything was updated and very clean. It would’ve been even better if the price was a little lower. We would definelty stay here again.
A little overpriced, but great quality.
Friendly staff, good location - close to Grand Central for the subway, good restaurants, take aways and supermarkets in the surrounding streets, close to the UN
The hotel did not know about the reservation. The guy at the front desk sayed that the reservation was for the 15th instead for the 14th. Luckily, there were rooms available and I was eccepted.
Shared bathroom ...
Location was excellent. Front desk clerk gave us perfect recommendation for breakfast.
I had no idea what to expect of a shared bathroom. It was fine, but I probably will not do it again.
The cost for this location is incredible. Short walk to Times Square/Madison Square Garden/Empire State Building/Rockefeller Center/etc. Room was very clean, as was the shared bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bed was small for trying to fit 2 people, so I just slept on the floor.
The location is very convenient. I felt secure in the neighborhood. Short distance from Grand Central Station. One block a pharmacy, breakfast cafeteria, Coffee place, restaurant, next door burger place, etc.
I did not know that they had rooms to share a bathroom. I booked that by mistake but was lucky that they had a room with a bathroom, and got the upgrade for $80.00. per night. The location was worth it.
Location and Service = A++
Absolutely great location within walking distance of Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, Central Park, Time Square, and basically anything you need. The subway nearby gives perfect access to any other part of the city. The staff was super friendly and willing to suggest activities for first time visitors. Overall, a wonderful experience.
The price is more expensive than we are used to paying normally but overall, the price is very comparable to others in the area.
room was well equipped and well furnished. not large but stylish, and the location was great
Great location. Awesome and chic decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very clean.
The room had a musty, almost sour smell. There is also a lack of soundproofing. I could clearly hear the conversation in the room next to mine.
Very good overall
The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
Great Time at the Seton
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, location close to everything. Discount on nearby parking (about half price) when the hotel stamps your parking ticket.
We had no complaints during our stay.
The thing I liked best was the location: it's close to Grand Central Station and Times Square. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lounge was nice.
Room was dirty and poorly maintained. Shower was dark and grungy.
The location is excellent, just a couple short blocks to Grand Central. The staff was also pretty helpful and the room was fairly clean. I didn't expect much for the price, but I was surprised how decent everything turned out. Didn't find any bugs or anything so I was pleased about that.
Would have been nice if they told us before-hand that the extra bed wouldn't fit in the room. We just dealt with it so it wasn't a big deal, but I could see some guests being annoyed by that.
The location and wireless internet are the only reasons to stay in the hotel.
The rooms and furniture are very old.
The location is fantastic and the staff are friendly. These are the only things the hotel has going for it really...
The rooms were (although cleaned, and kept neat) extremely tatty, and had a grimey feel about them. The building is in need of serious renovation. The shower rooms were tiny, grubby, chipped tiles and so-on, and generally pretty unpleasant. The hall ways were gloomy, dated, and extremely tatty. And finally, the rooms were a good size, but desperately in need of modernisation. A couple of clicks up from camping really...
Staff is friendly aтв ready to help.
It is good for staying one night only. I was scared by leak which occurred in my room next day after arrival. I would recommend for one night staying only.
Location. that´s the only thing it has
The carpet is dirty, the smell is terrible, the corridors are small, the walls are not painted, the furniture in the room is really poor and torn
Helpful hotel staff,great location.
Very dated,in need of attention and money spent on hotel.
The location in the heart of midtown is fantastic: two steps and you are below the Chrisler Building...the best skyscraper of every time!
The atmosphere is quite "old fashion"...but doesn't matter, it's a great place t go.
Some of the staff at the reception and one of the cleaning ladies were very professional and very nice, with lovely smiles and keen to help with information or anything that was requested. The room was spacious, T.V. and A.C. very good, bed very comfortable; breakfast was just right, and there was coffee, tea and hot water available 24h/day. Location is excellent - two blocks from Grand Central Station and yet very quiet and calm.
The overall impression coming into the hotel, elevator and halls up the floors was of a run-down hotel, with a worn-out and stained carpeting which seemed awfully dirty (although it wasn´t, they did vacuum it). The room could have had a complete bathroom built into it but, instead, it had a squished-in W.C. room that I could use only because I´m 1m60cm tall; a basin in a corner and a shower next to it. Each of the facilities were new and very neat, but spread out on two sides of the room. If they had been installed all together in one single area with an exhaust system, they´d have been perfect and it would have cost the same.
