Pros: Absolutely the friendliest staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Fast check-in
Cons: Room did not have toilet paper - very strange bath layout
Pros: breakfast was above average
Cons: slight odor inside a room
Pros: quite , clean, excellent comp. breakfast
Cons: no restaurant, no bar
It took 2 days and many phone calls to finally pin the mgr. down, then it was a fight to have him authorize points on our rewards card. Very disappointed.
Cons: They pulled a bait&switch. We reserved a room with a king bed. When we checked in,w/o telling us,they gave us a room with a queen. When we complained, the mgr. said it was b/c we were the last to check in. We had to fight to get any kind of recompense.
Would not stay there again.
Pros: the breakfast
Cons: they would not accomodate us regarding a cot. The 800 # said the hotel could furnish a cot. When we arrived at the hotel, they said they would not, this resulted in us swiching hotels.

Pros: Liked the room layout. Appreciated how thoughtful the kitchen was set up and items provided. Very comfortable bed. Most days the breakfast was fresh.
Cons: Bathroom could use an upgrade, especially the shower. One morning the breakfast wasn't kept supplied through the whole time -- at 8:35 many chafing dishes were empty.
Pros: I loved the amenities
Pros: The breakfast was amazing well done! I also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: Everything about the hotel satisfied my needs.
Pros: The cleanliness
Pros: Hotel is nice, my king size room was great big tv lot of space.. full kitchen
Cons: There where popcorns on the floor.. a stain on the blanket.. i notice that very late amd told them to change it but never happened although they didnt charge me for my drink and icecream
Pros: Plentiful outlets that are we'll located and easy to use.
Cons: Ran out of towels and couldn't keep up with breakfast
Pros: Beautiful clean and a wonderful breakfast
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Hotel needs updating.
Pros: i liked that the room had a microwave and fridge. I also like the free breakfast included in my stay.
Cons: There was leftover food left in my fridge, made me question how thorough the cleaning process was.
Pros: Very spacious studio room with many amenities! Clean and comfortable. Front desk was very kind and down to earth. Would stay again.
Cons: Because of the location, there were not many food options open late! Thankfully, there was a small store open in the lobby of the hotel with snacks, TV dinners and drinks.

Spacious smartly designed suites and guestrooms - fresh sumptuous beds and linens - full kitchens with stainless steel appliances - multi-functional clock radios with docking station and soothing sound machine - flat panel TVs with expanded cable and movie channels - waffle terry bathrobes and lighted make-up mirrors
Pros: The room is spacious ,clean and well laid out.
Breakfast was terrific
Cons: Front desk staff upon arrival not the friendliest.
Appropriate but businesslike and not overly welcoming.
Pillow was terrible. We wished we brought our own.
Pool clientele left trail of wet floors throughout tiled common areas and elevator. This could be a huge liability for the hotel.
Pros: Staff was friendly and attentive. They allowed us to commandeer the lounge and breakfast area for two nights of huge gatherings of family, friends, wine, beer and pizza. The indoor heated pool with two-story water slide was a hit!

Pros: Comfortable bed and room. Solid free breakfast with hot options. Friendly staff.
Pros: The bed was basically the only thing about the room that was worth the money. It was so comfortable and that's rare for me when it comes to hotels. The full size jacuzzi was good too.
Cons: First of all, I requested a room far away from the elevators. My room was right next to it. Also, they bloody gave me a handicapped room. The nerve of these people. The first night I was there, a guy walks in to the front lobby to buy a room for the night. He gets a room far away from the elevators and on the top floor. Also, there wasn't a hair dryer in my room, no iron and there were barely any channels on the TV. There also wasn't any TP in the bathroom. The free breakfast was disgusting. There were powdered eggs for crying out loud. DO NOT STAY HERE, I NEVER WILL AGAIN.
Pros: The breakfast is excellent!
Our guest rooms feature contemporary decor with stylish furnishings including the Hyatt Grand beds, media and work center with a 42 inch flat panel HDTV that easily integrates with laptops and other devices, a cozy corner L-shaped sofa-sleeper, and bathroom vanity. Enjoy complimentary wireless high-speed internet and Gallery Kitchen Breakfast featuring daily, customizable breakfast bowls and yogurt parfaits.
Pros: Clean rooms and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant.
Cons: Parking was tough to find. Very full lot.
Pros: Service during their remodel problems was excellent
Cons: The actual remodeling caused a few complications. Once the remodel is over. Things i am sure will be excellent
Pros: Nice big room for the price, great water pressure in the shower, very close to highways, free breakfast.
Cons: Mattress was too firm for my soft little back
Pros: The room was comfortable. The lobby was inviting. Breakfast was wonderful. Front desk staff was friendly.
Cons: The cleaning staff was rude and the pool was small and overcrowded.

Pros: Loved the complimentary fruit and fruit infused water waiting for the tired traveler in the lobby!
Cons: Only thing negative and it's a big one is that they don't even free breakfast! I've stayed at many hotels and even the inexpensive hotels have free continental breakfast! This hotel should at least do that! they offer NOTHING not even coffee?
Pros: Clean well care for
Pros: Convenient parking. Very nicely appointed rooms with spa style décor. Paul Mitchell hair products in bathroom. Always plenty of towels for our party of 3. Starbucks coffee for sale in the lobby and free spa water in the lobby. The room was very well sound-proofed, because we were right next to elevator and heard nothing!! also room was SPOTLESS without a speck of mildew in the bathroom.
Cons: coffee in room did not have enough set ups for 3. there was a charge of $2 for in-room water bottles.

Pros: The suites were good size with a full stove in the suite we had. Place seemed to be quite busy as it is right off of route 8 and near the Merrit Parkway.
Cons: The bathroom is tiny! Sink area is fine but the toilet/shower area is claustrophobic. You have to open the door while in the shower so you can get out.

It felt more like staying at someone's home than staying at a bed and breakfast
Cons: No TVs, everything was pretty bare bones
Austin Street Inn puts you within a 15-minute drive of Yale Bowl and Yale University. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily between 7:30 AM and 9 AM. Also, this bed & breakfast is within a short drive of East Rock Park.
Pros: Facilities are modern and up-to-date. Very clean.
Cons: Parking fees are not included in booking prices
Pros: The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable
Cons: Having to pay extra for parking
Pros: A clean renovated hotel just a few blocks walk from Yale's old campus and art galleries. The breakfast buffet was inexpensive and ample and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Pros: Front desk staff was very hospitable and friendly. When I asked for a room modification instead of acting like it was nuisance they happily looked into it and ended up accomodating.
The room was clean and very comfortable. I will definitely be returning!
Pros: Location to Yale. Clean.
Cons: Expensive parking.
Pros: Location in downtown New Canaan
Cons: Someone is apparently in it for the money only here, the New Haven Hotel offers no value and certainly no "caring" attitude. For that it charges too much at $ 159 per night. You get:
- Good downtown location.
- Clean room, good size.
- Thin walls, to hear the neighbors, and everyone from the hallways.
- Mattresses of dubious quality.
- Breakfast, a stale buffet in a dark 2nd floor room, is an unfriendly reminder that nobody cares, and at $ 13.99 someone wants to make good money.
- Self parking at the Temple Garage at $ 20 overnight, when the public rate is $ 16, no value add, just a surcharge by the hotel. Staff could have pointed out that there is a free parking on weekends around and across...
- Very friendly and helpful receptionist, one person only.
And Housekeeping knocking at the door at 9am on a Sunday morning makes this a bit of a bad dream in New Haven.
Pros: Everything was very clean, and the rooms are quite nicely appointed. Most of the staff was very nice, too (there was just one check-in person who I found a bit rude).
Cons: No breakfast included - even of the most basic kind.
It's located on a somewhat dicey street.
The workout facilities were minimal.
The views from the room were ugly, and a bright light from the garage comes in unless you use the full blinds.
Pros: friendly staff, quick checkin/out, clean rooms, great location
Cons: AC was set to 60 deg but never got below 72-75.. and the bed wasn't overly comfortable.

Pros: My stay was great every one was very helpful.
Pros: Staff was very friendly, front desk employees always greeted us when we walked through the lobby. Rooms were clean, food was great. Staff even bought my 3 year old niece ice cream.
Cons: Pool and hot tub were closed the whole time we were there. We were told it would only be down for a day but it never reopened. After a day of skiing in 15 degree weather all we wanted was to be able to enjoy the hot tub, unfortunately we never got to.
Pros: Was there for business. A bit sparse for an HGI in terms of amenities. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff courteous as always.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Overall extremely clean and comfortable
Cons: One towel was dirty
Pros: Overall it was a very nice room. Great parking area. Very nice staff.
Cons: The black out curtains were only at the outer edge of the huge window! There was no track going across so they could not be closed!! At 5 am the sun filled the room and it was impossible to sleep. Not great for a vacation!!! Unfortunately there was a wedding group up very late at night and the sun in our eyes at 5 a.m.
Not the romantic weekend we had hoped for
Pros: She patiently helped me with my cell phone. Google maps so I could find my way to new haven. She didn't interrupt when phone call came in but put the call on hold priotarizing me, the person who was there.
Cons: That there was no complimentary breakfast but would have added $22 to our billo
Pros: Nice lobby and staff
Cons: Uncomfortable mattresses.
Pros: Staff was nice, rooms are great, nice restaurant and bar.
Cons: No complaints
Hilton Garden Inn Shelton is a great choice for a stay in Shelton. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool or grab a bite to eat at Great American Grill, which serves breakfast and dinner. A fitness center and a spa tub are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The hotel had the layout of an upscale hotel with a large lobby and eating facilities without the expense of an upscale hotel.
Cons: Would have been nice to have a Jacuzzi..
Pros: The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful even at very late hours of the night. Staff members in other parts of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. One member helped my fiancé and I get into the gym when our key didn't seem to work.
Cons: Some members of the staff did a poor job at maintaining eye contact with us when answering questions. This can be a major issue, as my fiancé felt that the member was not paying attention to her or was distracted from their conversation. This is picky but is the difference between being helpful and highly professional.
Cons: We were there two nights and they couldn't get the TV to work at all and never offered another room to us so we could watch TV. It was like we bothered the front desk when we kept telling them the TV wasn't fixed. No effort on their part and we usually go there 3 times a year but will not again.
Never mind the 11:30pm fire alarm because the kitchen burnt food to a crisp. Lobby was filled with smoke....
Pros: We stay at a variety hotels in this chain across the northeast. This was a good location outside of NY on the way to Boston
Cons: We didn't receive the room that we paid for and reserved. I was traveling with two of my children and we all slept in one bed in a smokers room. We all didn't sleep well, ended up with sore throats, headaches and our clothes smelling of smoke the rest of the next day as we continued our trip. The hotel was contacted numerous times, said that they would respond and we have not heard back. Super disappointing for this property. It doesn't reflect the chain, it's really a problem with this property.
At Hilton Garden Inn Milford, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Yale Bowl. The restaurant is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after having fun at the indoor pool, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Rooms offer up nice touches like comfy beds, deep soaking tubs, and MP3 docks.
Cons: pool was dirty, didn't have towels, restroom sink/toilet? (didn't look, just reported) overflowing
windows so dirty couldn't see out of them
staff only miminimally concerned about pool
Pros: Comfortable rooms and beds with individual thermostats and a spacious bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located relatively close to everything. Courteous and attentive staff.
Cons: The free breakfast was mediocre to low quality; though they did change out the options daily, the options were few. The eggs were bland and made with egg-beaters as opposed to fresh eggs, and without salsa/tobasco (my preference) I didn't have anything to put on them to make them taste any better besides pepper, which didn't help much - similar issue with the cheese omelets. Also, while fresh fruit was available the first day, it was not changed out daily and by the time we left the bananas had gone brown.

Pros: Clean rooms and lobby, courteous staff. This hotel was what you'd expect from a Courtyard. I went to see Yale with my daughter and the hotel was only convenient to the schools athletic facilities. nice area though!
Cons: I didn't like paying for self- parking in an outdoor lot. There was a covered section but it was full. Once parked, I had a longish walk back to the lobby with my bags.
The basic wifi is free. Hi-speed is $5.95. The basic was fine for slow-surfing the internet but to stream a movie, you might need to upgrade.
Pros: People and staff were very nice while they are going thru renovation.
Cons: There were college athletic teams also in the hotel that weekend..They ran up and down the halls till 3:00 am and to my knowledge no one ever asked them to hold the noise down.A constant party till about 3 or 4 am then they would all go into their rooms and go to sleep.Very annoying.
Pros: The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Cons: Only paper cups provided for coffee in the room. When we asked at the restaurant and front desk we were told that there were no other cups available. The housekeeper, however got us some regular cups.

Pros: Verry nice hotel, great location with a lot of accommodations. Don't let the price scare you, well worth it.
Cons: Woke up with a back ache, bed was not as comfortable as I would have expected. Access to wifi should be included, but you have to pay extra.
Pros: The attitude of the staff was wonderful. Above and beyond. It had a full service feel - staff only, not the facility, and certainly not the scary parking lot.
Cons: It simply was not as high end as I expected. I have had two kids attend college closeby, and I always dreamed of being able to afford staying at the Omni. We decided to splurge on our last night there after checking our of a rental house in the area. I guess I built it up in my head that it would be like a Four Seasons or something really nice, but it was no better than the Marriott or the New Haven Hotel which are half the price or less. Disappointing! I was totally unimpressed with the bedding especially, it was like a flash back to the 90's!
Pros: The neighborhood is marginal, and with a room on the 4th floor, you get a lot of noise well into the night.
Only two elevators were working for almost 20 stories, with a wedding reception going on... made for really long waits.
Pros: The place is gorgeous! And the rooms were really nice!
Cons: It's more a trend. When you get a budget room, so many amenities are included. When you splurge for some luxury, I feel like you are charged for everything. Breakfast was not included, wifi costs extra, parking was $20 per day. Elevators seemed a bit slow and there's only one of the 3 that go to the garage levels.
Staff was incredible
Pros: Amazing stay at beautiful clean hotel with courteous staff! I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Next time we visit my daughter we will definitely be staying there.
Cons: Place was extremely clean and staff couldn't do enough to make you happy! Haven't stayed in a place that was outstanding in cleanliness with amazing staff in years!!!
Cons: Lacking amenities like pool and expensive parking very cold unable to change room temp
Pros: The bed is AMAZING. That has to be the best sleep that I have had in a very long time.
Cons: The hotel is in the heart of the city and apparently does not have sound proof walls so it is very noisy all the time however they do leave ear plugs on the night stand to compensate.

Cons: Smell and people smoke right in front of the door
Pros: Motel 6 Milford is an excellent motel if you need a cheap but comfortable and clean place to stay at. A friend and myself booked last minute for only $60 which is great when you have two or more people (only $30 a piece!) The beds were comfortable and we were overall surprised at what we were getting for the price. Quiet during the night. Great place if you just need a cheap place for a couple overnight stays but is not very luxurious, still good for the price though.
Cons: A lot of the items in the room itself was faulty, we spent a good five minutes trying to figure out how to get the lights on! Realized some were just broken while others were easy to turn on. Workers are loud in the morning, could be heard going up and down the hall knocking on doors and cleaning. Like many motels nothing was included with our room, vending machines were expensive, so if you choose this motel make sure you are fully prepared with drinks, snacks, and all hygiene products!
Pros: Room was clean and nicely decorated.
Cons: Desk clerk was rude. Very undesirable guests. Animals were everywhere.
Pros: This is now maybe the best value for the money in the Milford area. Located right off the highway, clean rooms that are fairly new and in good shape, good staff, clean, free coffee and free wifi. There are fridges and microwaves in the rooms, and a laundry room onsite. They have an outdoor pool in season. I was even able to stream video on the free wifi. This is not a fancy, upscale property, but it's very nice for a Motel 6. I definitely plan to stay here again when I'm in the area.
Pros: Rooms were clean and had most of the amenities you would expect of a more expensive hotel. Location had easy freeway access.
Cons: I was impressed by how thin they can build their walls. Not only was I able to hear my neighbor talking on the phone, but I could actually hear the other side of the conversation too.
Pros: Clean, Comfortable, convenient to highway. Check in was easy. Was allowed to check in before 3pm. I will stay here again.
Cons: Had to drive to next exit for food, but wasn't that far.
Motel 6 Milford CT is located off I-95 exit 35. Silver Sands State Park Beach and Walnut Public Beach are 1.2 miles away. All smoke-free rooms have micro-fridge units and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy our business center, fitness facility and seasonal outdoor pool.
Pros: We needed a room for a short stay to allow an early morning departure by train to NYC. The staff were all very friendly, the room itself was carefully cleaned and quite comfortable, and breakfast was better than expected.
Cons: The property itself both outside and in the hallways was somewhat old and tired. No pool or playroom; it would not have worked for the kids for a longer stay. Soundproofing was not particularly good. Still, overall it was a positive experience.
Pros: I have never experienced a more friendly staff all around: front desk, breakfast attendant, maid staff, etc... This will be a must stay hotel for this area.
Pros: Nice staff, good location
Cons: Noisy HVAC, don't get a room facing the turnpike, very noisy. A little tired

Cons: It had a bad smell as you walked in. I choose a non smoking room. But, the hallways smell like a smoking section. The room size was ok!
Extended Stay America - Shelton - Fairfield County is a great choice for a stay in Shelton. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast available daily. Bonuses like refrigerators, refrigerators, and microwaves are in all apartments.
Cons: Room reeked of smoke, was dirty and outdated, and the unit next door held a party from 2-4 am with shouting and fighting that spilled over into the parking lot. On top of that, front desk was understaffed and slow, parking lot was crowded, and stairs to second floor unit was outside.
Pros: Good rate for a room with a full kitchen - Main lobby building and breakfast area was very nice with a nice outdoor patio. They accept pets.
Cons: Rooms are pet friendly, but they stick you in the back corner with the other pet owners - There is also a $75 charge for pets. Some of the residents who live long term at the Village Suites were a little sketchy. New Haven town is also a little sketchy - The only nice area we found was near the old Yale campus.
Pros: I traveled with my husband and teenage son - we stayed in the 2 room loft - it was awesome space for all of us! Had a small kitchen with fridge - but most important we each had out own bathrooms. Cont breakfast was very decent. We didn't use the amenities. Easy on and off freeway which we did need. We had no views - but didn't care - that wasn't why we were staying there. Would recommend!
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed
Cons: Noisy AC system, weird thermostat, it gets really cold then really hot, without me changing the temperature
Pros: We arrived just as the snow arrived. It was delightful to have a fireplace and space to relax with people during the storm. Loved the selection of teas available in the lobby in the afternoon and the waffles at breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Would have enjoyed having an Earl Grey in the tea selection . ;>)
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, completary breakfast, a home away from home.
Cons: Not many night life attractions, but isn't hotels fault.
Pros: Nice room with plenty of space. Courteous and friendly staff. We didn't stay for long but it was a good stay. The room was clean and neat. I would definitely stay there again.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the waffles. We also enjoyed the complimentary popcorn.
Cons: The room was very clean and efficient, but the decor was a little "tired".
Pros: Pool & Dinner was included, Perfectly wheelchair suitable,
Pros: Spacious suite, room enough for 2 adults and 2 grown-up children; nice and relaxed atmosphere, everything we needed during this 2-nights stay!
Pros: Room, itself, was nice and it was quiet.
Cons: Although check-in is known to be at 3pm we arrived early from Norwalk area at 11am and then went to the front desk again ar 2pm and they never tried to be accomodating to us but just told us it was not guaranteeed until a 3pm arrival. The housekeep[ng staff should try to accomodate someone who is already at the locatiuon versus their traditional room-to-room approach. We did not get into the room until 3:15-3:30pm.When tyou pay over $200/nihgt, I'd lik ethe staff to try to be more accomodating.
Pros: Room very confortable, nice breakfast, ideal for family
Cons: A little bit outside the city, no restaurants close by
