Ted & Caroll were just delighful. Would go back again. Evergthing was just perfect. nothing to dislike
We had two couples, two rooms, for a weekend casino trip. This was SO much more interesting and less expensive than staying down the street on-site. Each room had a comfortable 4-post bed, clean bathroom, TV and automatic temperature controlled fireplace. Being a 260+ year-old home, it's rustic open beams and wood floors gave a "step back in time" feel. Hosts Ted and Carol made us feel right at home, and breakfast of baked apple, pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee/juice was delightful. They also have refreshments available 24/7. This was our first trip, but the four of us already decided we'll definitely become regulars. No complaints. My only regret is that we didn't notice the diary in every room where the past visitors recorded their paranormal experience. We heard stories at breakfast, where another couple filled us in and showed pictures they'd taken that captured floating orbs. Not that it made any difference to our wonderful time, but evidently the Inn is haunted, so keep that in mind if that sort of thing bothers you.
I went with a group of friends for a friend's birthday. The concierge was amazing! They wrote "Happy Birthday" on the window and gave us complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries. Scorpion bar had excellent food and an awesome $7 sangria deal for Sunday night. The comedy club (right next door) also had an awesome beer deal ($20 all-you-can-drink). The entire complex was huge! There were so many different areas to explore. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was pretty expensive, especially for a Sunday night. The experience was well worth it though!
Great time!!! I wanted to win more money lol....
I always stay at the Fox Tower when visiting Foxwoods. I find there to be less children and family running around because it is not directly near the outlets . Love playing the slots here and black jack tables are not always super crowded . Great spare of the moment trip on a Thursday because hotel prices are not to bad . Hotel check in is always so slow Everytime I go besides that Fox Tower is my favorite.
We loved the view from our room on the 30th floor (top floor). If I were to do it again though I would reccomend future guests to ask for a "woods view". The bed was extremely comfortable & the bathroom was spacious complete with a glass enclosed shower and separate toilet area. Unless you were to use your Foxwoods points Kayak was a much better deal. It was better than the quoted nightly rate (w/ AAA discount applied) that I received from the hotel itself. Also the newest addition to the casino, Tanger Outlets, has an entrance very close by. It's to the right of the small food court & you can't miss the Broadway inspired marquee sign. If you or whoever you're traveling with are shoppers then this is definitely the place to visit. Stop by the Information counter first to inquire about their coupon books for additional $ savings if that interests you. I didn't like the additional up charges from the property $19.49 per night extra & $100 (refundable) security deposit. It felt like I was getting nickel & dimed before I even got to my room. Then come to find out the pool on property is seasonal & the only other one on property is inside the GSpa located on a lower level. So I go there with my girlfriend & there's another charge; $15 a piece for day passes to access the spa ($25 for non hotel guests). I mean what the hell DOES the resort fee cover then? The only other point (for which I removed one star) is location. Fox Tower (formerly MGM Grand) is a hike from the main gambling options & action @ Foxwoods. Although there are slots, table games, multiple dining options & a nightclub right downstairs the real heart of the casino (in my opinion) is on the other side. It's a lengthy walk or grab the free shuttle that transports guests all over the property (every 10-15 minutes from hotel lobby). Overall though, we had a great stay at the property & the likes definitely outweigh the dislikes. Just good to know all the fine print & details before you get there so I figured I'd share.
The location The lack of cleanliness on the beds ans furniture. Nobody wants to lay there head on other people's hair. I was moved and the next room had stains on the couch and a bit less hair on the bed than the one before. My family member had the same issue in the other room we rented.
The staff and the casino So noisy i could hear the club from my room on the 14th floor. And price was not worth it 681 for 2 nights now good
The hotel package we used for the weekend there was well worth it. Even though our time was spent roaming around and exploring as many places as possible it was nice to return back to the Fox Tower. We also met a guy by the name of Michael H. Gaudreau and he is the Concierge Representative. Very awesome guy! He helped us out with our bus information and was very welcoming and calm during a stressful situation. Time flies when you're having fun. :(
Views, comfort and amenities I asked for a non smoking room because I have a respiratory issue. Even though the room had no ashtrays and the sign in the hall said no smoking it was obviously a smoking room recently. There were no other rooms available. At checkout I complained and they acknowledged that the floor had recently been changed to non smoking. Unfortunately, I was sick for 3 days after checking out... If it wasn't for that, our stay was wonderful.
Beautiful clean room. Amenities were great. Table games affordable. Waited in line at least 45 minutes to check in - unacceptable.
The spa is amazing The restaurant selections were same. Not really healthy options The wait for housekeeping and them not showing up was unacceptable at 500.00 a night.
Staff was nice, valet is very convenient. Pillows were flat and not comfortable at all. Very expensive and looks nice when you walk in, but then they cheap out on the bedding and shower didn't work well. The tv was placed awkwardly at the foot of our bed. Foxwoods is HUGE... I think we walked 2 miles to get to a restaurant for dinner. Intense workout.
The G spa was great. That it is ecpensive on the weekends
Clean, big room, very nice maid, check-in was quick, early, and painless check-out was not so easy or quick or painless, actually almost ruined our stay
great place will come back again...way too far away though no
The valet parking staff went thru the stuff at the back seat of my car.
the overall service and accommodations
we were thrilled to get an upgrade to a suite upon arrival. the front desk staff was wonderful - taking some time to make sure our stay was exceptional. We can't wait to return to Mohegan Sun.
Very convenient to the casino. Quite pricey.
Entertainment big plus/ Security checking room cards, staff Bathroom cleanliness with hair over shower wall
Dinner at Michael Jordan's was Excellent! Too much smoke - need to increase the 'smoke free areas in the casino or at least have the smoke free closer to the hotel lobby so you do not smell it when you are shopping or eating in the main area.
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. We had all questions answered promptly and with a smile.
I love the rooms and the service Everything was grrat
Hotel was clean, comfortable and decor was simple. Asking $3.50 for a small bottle of water is robbery. Lobby is inviting, breakfast is decent, although coffee isn't that good. We got an extended check out which was nice too. The front staff were morons. They told me there would be no "hold fee" on my credit card (I asked the gentleman three times to be clear and he clearly told me no) and I found out at check out they dish old $50. When I spoke to the girl at check out that I was misinformed, she smiled and shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. That was infuriating. I would have liked a "there must have been a miscommunication". She had no clue about anything. The shuttle service is a joke. They have 1 can that holds 20 people max (if that even) and we had to sit on laps to make he midnight shuttle. They charhe$3.50 for a small bottle of water! Even by NYC standards, that's a lot.
Clean and decent size rooms with separate sitting area , awesome . This will be he place where I'll stay when I do return to visit . Thanks
We always enjoy our stay. Everything always goes smoothly. Price is fantastic so is the staff. Nice n quiet n very comfy. This one time though we had to switch rooms because we found hair under sheets n bathroom floor. This never happened before n got moved right away to a clean room.
Pillows and mattress are the best! I could not control the room temperature. It was very cold for our taste. There was a thermostat, but it did not work.
All rooms are kind of like suites, with a separate sitting area and sleeping area.
Large rooms, a lot of space. Bathrooms were dirty. Not renovated like the rest. Tiles broken in shower, no handlebar. Dirty tiles
The staff was fabulous. They were very efficient, courteous and friendly. Our king bed room also had a small kitchen and sitting area and the room was very clean. They also have a wonderful free continental breakfast that included french toast and Egg McMuffin style sandwiches. There is a free shuttle to the Casino, but we drove over ourselves as it is only about a mile away and a quick drive to the Mohegan Sun Casino/Arena. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Located 5 min away from Mohegan Sun w a shuttle running every 30 min until midnight. If you plan on returning after midnight taxi was $7 for the two of us. The free breakfast was good w lots of selection. It does get busy and if u cannot find seating you can ask for a to go box to bring breakfast up to your room. The kitchen is open 24 hours so if you are looking for a midnight snack you can order from your room and go downstairs to pick it up when it's ready. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby, cafe area and rooms were updated and kept very clean. We got a room w two queen beds and it was much larger then expected. There was a good sized sitting area w a pullout couch and the room was able to to sleep 6 people. Overall a great place. I have a bad back and the bed was too soft for my liking but my 16 y/o daughter thought they were very comfortable. It was a little pricey totaling about $235 a night. The prices may have been inflated since we were there for a concert.
clean, quiet, upscale decor, great pillows and mattress, healthy and delicious breakfast, very friendly staff Need a platform somewhere in the room to place luggage
A mile from Foxwoods! Breakfast served until 11:40. Bar in hotel. Very large room and bathroom. Toiletries like makeup remover wipes in the bathroom ! Dunkin donuts across the street. Small TV. We may have gotten a handicap room but we enjoyed the space.
Shuttle service to the casino was extremely convenient.
The whirlpool tub was amazing! There was not a thing I didn't like!
The staff was noticeably friendlier and more efficient than some at other hotels. Check-in person was genuine. Bar and restaurant staff was also efficient and friendly. Room was comfortable; bathroom is small but efficient.
very close to foxwoods and shuttle bus that takes you every hour. Clean and cozy rooms.
Hot tube was nice but wish the pool was open The pool was closed
The bed and pillows. Close to Mohegan. It looked like something out of a horror movie when we drove up. The desk attendant was really slow and almost didn't give us our purchased room due to renovations (that we didn't know about becauae no one said anything...). Over all I was a bit disappointed because I had just gotten engaged, and wanted a nice place to rest. Honestly should've paid more money to go else where. And the attendant at check in made us feel really awkward and uncomfortable. Get rid of that 100yr old man.
proximity to fun! I'd advise people who do not smoke to be sure to ask for a nonsmoking room. We did and it was our only escape from smokers...the non smoking gambling site is small and with little action, there was little to keep us there.

Non smoking rooms availability None
It was part of the casino which meant no driving. That's always a good thing. There is so many rooms on each floor it feels like you have to walk a mile to and from the elevators.

Hotel staff (front desk, valet, cleaning crew) was excellent. Great service! The hotel was able to accommodate our request of staying an extra night during a busy weekend. THank you.
Smoking was allowed inside.
Very comfortable rooms, clean many amenities. People smoking in non smoking areas
Clean showers Not at all it was a great experience I'm doing a survey
The staff is great and the place is clean nothing.. I will return for other visits
I liked to be in the middle of everything. I like that there was room service! They also give you free bottled water during your stay in your room. All the staff that I encountered were fabulous and I liked the free valet parking. The enormous amount of walking. Even though you're in the middle of just about everything it's a lot of walking. I was at the end room and it literally was a quarter mile walk just to get to the elevator. Then once you're out of the elevator it's another quarter mile to a half mile walk to the restaurants near the casinos. I also did not like that there are no microwaves in the rooms. It was explained to me that they created "problems".
I like that you can hang around in your robe all day, even while eating lunch or dinner. The spa was too packed! We had to wait to get into the sauna, steam room and the Jacuzzi because there was just too many people in them. Also the security people. I like that they have security, but I felt like it was way too much. I'm a mature woman and I felt like if I did one thing wrong, I would get kicked out of the place. A little uncomfortable.
beautiful historical hotel, very antique in feeling wish the rate included breakfast
Comfortable rooms. Clean bathroom. Near end of breakfast it got a little messy around waffle machine area
Everything was great no complaints
Fantastic location, friendly staff, offer a basic but very good breakfast.(No eggs but waffles, fruit, yogurt, choice of breads and pastry, crisp hot and oatmeal, juice, coffee etc. The room's are laid out well spacious island with microwave above fridge below, mini Sink and plenty if counter space. The fan/ heater had a fan only constant option that I like for white noise. The beds were very comfortable! Usually I don't sleep all the first night, no problems here. We had a suite. The hotel wad nIce and quiet. The room was very clean upon arrival, as was the hotel in general. The only reason I didn't leave four stars for cleanliness was the maid didn't empty and clean the coffee machine( extremely minor). There werer HUGE mirrors as back boards behind both beds which kind of me seemed a little weird. They made the room feel bigger though so I just dressed with My back to them...Lol.
We got charged for use of the safe, when we didn't request it. It was removed.
the room was small but very clean and perfect for what we needed. the shuttle which ran every 20 minutes was a very convenient way to get back and forth from the casino we chose this hotel for the convenience to the casino they gave us a room on the second floor right above the front door of the hotelso every time somebody came back off the shuttle at night we can hear them talking and it woke us up. The bed was very hard. between the people coming in and making all the noise in the hard bed we didn't get much sleep check in was easy and the clerks are very friendly check out was just as easy .
The hotel staff were vary helpfull and pleasent. We requested a cot and local info,. Van driver picked us up on time.
Proximity to Mohegan Sun Casino I didn't like the fact that I could hear water rushing through the walls everytime another guest flushed.
friendly, helpful staff. shuttle to mohegan sun casino. would have liked to have a refrigerator in the room.
Very courteous and helpful staff. They arranged for an extra shuttle bus to come so we would not miss our show. Wish they served some form of breakfast for the price
Location close to 395 and route 2 is very helpful. The Pantry restaurant next door had a GREAT breakfast. This is 2.5 star at best. Rooms are not well insulated to sound, lobby is dated and not very inviting. Desk staff is hard to find because they were out front. We stayed to attend a family function. We'll have to find somewhere else. I will not pay money to stay there.
The reservation that we booked was as it was supposed to be with no surprises.
Staff and guests were sketchy we did not even end up staying the night
The bed was comfortable and they had a nice breakfast We did not get the room we requested. The booking was for a room with a king bed. They gave us another room w/ 2 doubles. The room had a large gap in the door. You could see into the room through it. They moved us to another room and although the door locked, the piece where the lock goes into was not there. The hotel is in need of some, what seem to be, minor repairs.
I liked the continental breakfast which includes waffles and eggs and a variety of juices- that was a plesant surprise. No
nice lil breakfast buffet included in stay - free shuttle to mohegn sun casino - and proximity to mohegan sun
not enough staff, had to wait to check in. the line was five peolpe deep and slow moving. Decor very poor. no decorations on walls, main entrance not customer friendly. Breakfast was not ready. Had to wait for the person who knew how to cook the eggs...1 hour. poorly set up, needed more condiments, selections of cereals, no oatmeal...
the room was very spacious and comfortable the included breakfast, it was not good at all. It doesn't compare to other hotels
