Dominic Gerard, Sep 2025 - Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Foggy Bottom
The staff seemed rude. They do not even extend the courtesy of providing an umbrella to their guests. You need to buy for $25!!

Robert, Mar 2023 - Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC Downtown
The Washington DC Residence Inn needs to be recognized for their great staff, especially those individuals running the breakfast bar and front desk. Their service and attention to details. From there, the hotel has a number of opportunities to improve. The hotel was under renovation, which meant the front desk was crammed onto the second floor and finishes were feverishly being applied. While the ...

Pros (+) nice hotel in a location right next to foggy bottom metro stop. i love having a full sized kitchen.
Cons (-) the decorations seem a bit lacking. lots of bare white walls... a few posters, prints will make the rooms feel a lot nicer

Jeff, Dec 2019 - Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC Downtown
Pros (+) Location, near McPherson Station was perfect. Having the CVS, downstairs was a bonus. Very comfortable, and clean room. Staff was really nice.
Cons (-) The breakfast was a little crazy. Small space and a lot of travelers made for getting breakfast a little chaotic. Since the location is more downtown, the dining choices were limited. Most were lunch places for the business crowd. We had to Uber for more dining options in the Chinatown or Penn Quarter.

Pros (+) Kitchen in room was great. Laundry was useful.
Cons (-) Breakfast was very crowded, not enough food, tables or plates. Pull out couch was not comfortable. Thin mattress was ok for small children but not for adults.

Rich, Jul 2019 - Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Foggy Bottom
Pros (+) Great location, convenient to Metro, GWU, etc. There are always electric scooters available within 100 meters, and often right outside the front door. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Basic wifi was fine.
Cons (-) Breakfast buffet: same thing every day, plastic and paper cutlery. Some variety would have been nice. Room was tired: scuffed walls, snagged carpet, torn sofa cushion. Housekeeping was erratic, and I never knew what I'd find after work each day: maybe dishes washed, maybe coffee restocked, maybe more shampoo...or maybe not. Rooftop pool is decommissioned, not even a rooftop garden, no evening happ...
