I reserved a gas engine car but got assigned an electric car or gas car in the confirmation. The electric car class is $200 cheaper in the reservation page. I paid more but SixT purposely sneak in a cheaper product. I tried to contact them and got very rude response. They refuse to admit their mistake and charged me three days of rent + tax for cancelling a reservation due to their fraud presentation. SixT is a fraud and a very rude company. I chose to have full insurance coverage when booking and prepaying for the car. The reservation on the Sixt App showed that collision and theft coverage were included but upon arrival the agent said that her system does not have it included and that I would have to pay $40+/day to get collision and theft coverage. She said I only had 3rd party liability. I showed her the reservation that clearly said "collision and theft coverage included" and she said that it was not showing that on her side so it was not included. I did not add the insurance and probably would have had a major fight if I would have needed to use the insurance.Reviewed Jul 19 2022

The car and the rental experience were good. However, we want to warn other travelers about pricing and billing practices of the company. When we arrived to Paris and went to get a car, we were duped into buying more car insurance (we purchased a travel coverage from Allianz insurance company while in the US which included a car rental). However, during our car pick up we were told that an additional coverage would be preferable, and it only would cost us additional $20.00. It came to significantly higher number because it was for each day of our trip, not the total. Also we got fined for speeding. The fees were promptly charged to our credit card. We were under the impressions that it is all taken care of. Now, a month later, we got two tickets in the mail from France. It looks like Sixt charged us, but didn't forward the money to the appropriate agency. We are on the hook for more expense. I believe more transparency would help the company and make people less upset about renting from them. They advertise like an affordable option while in France, but in the end cost us significantly more.Reviewed Jul 15 2022
