9.2 Excellent (318 reviews)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: When arriving through the main lobby it felt unique--like I was taken to another location away from Palm Spring's desert heat and into a botique resort lodge hidden in the mountains. Our room was spacious and it felt romantic staying in rustic cabin-like studio designed and furnished in natural and modern elements. Anyone who stays at Sparrows Lodge will be blown away because it is special.
Cons: What I did not like was it did not have enough lighting. The room was dark and it was hard to apply makeup in dim lighting for the past two days. There wasn't a tv in the room either. I understand it is a peaceful and relaxing setting and media devices may take away from zen-ing it out, but a little late night channel surfing wouldn't hurt.

Pros: This place is truly a hidden gem. It's right smack in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, so you can walk everywhere. They provide really nice bicycles also if you rather use them to explore. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The pool area is a favorite of mine. You are able to order food and drinks from the pool as well. Complimentary happy hour from 4 to 5 everyday with beautiful cheese board. Complimentary continental breakfast. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and all the other guests while I stayed were very nice as well. This place really did have great vibes and an incredible atmosphere. My Wife and I had such a great relaxing time here. We will be staying here again.

Cons: As clean as the place was, there were roaches... and they weren't the bashful type...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the gym facilities were amazing
Cons: Nothing. Loved it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very family friendly, super large rooms, with kitchen containing all you need to prepare a meal. Very clean, very comfortable bed. Kids really like the pool with slide. Luxury experience make you want to stay longer. Surely worth the money.
Cons: The air conditioner in the living room is loud. although it doesn't affect the bedroom, I won't recommend to light sleepers if you plan to sleep in the sofa-bed. The toilet is loud too, can wake people up if someone use it at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very family friendly atmosphere that has a lot of activities for children whether they want to be in the pool all day or play in the game room. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions or issues. We did get a great deal on Kayak making it totally worth the money.
Cons: There is no oven in the Deluxe room. It's a combined convection/microwave oven and only a two burner stove. Not the best situation but workable for a three night stay.
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice landscaping, four pools.
Cons: The one bedroom unit we had was very dark and depressing and had no view. There are so many large building the place feels industrial.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful well stocked villas with everything you need Large clean pool area with comfy chairs!
Cons: Paying for parking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Friendly staff! Great food!
Cons: Not a thing...already rebooked!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front service staff is so helpful and patient. The happy hour is great! I’ll come again! The location is very good.
Cons: The cleaning service is a bit noisy, not good for those who want to wake up late.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the center of Palm Springs. Friendly receptionist who offered us a free drink on arrival. Free coffee served in coffee shop. Free wine tasting evenings. Can hire free bikes to ride. Valet parking included. You are able stream services such as Netflix to the TV for free.
Cons: The pool area was extremely busy on the Saturday of our stay. This meant that there were no loungers left with an umbrella. In 48 degree heat this is an issue. What was really annoying though was that a large area of beds with umbrellas was reserved for another hotel or guest willing to spend $500 on food and drink!!!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious bright rooms Roof bar
Cons: Pool was jammed but we made it work
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very friendly staff
Cons: Shower could have been cleaner
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great sized room(too near the elevator though), great design, decor, staff, pool.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t up to much. Underwhelming really. Should allow guests to eat on the top floor instead, as downstairs feels like a coffee shop only.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and food in general was very well priced and delicious!
Cons: Could not fault this hotel at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a spa suite, the room was spacious and comfortable. Very quiet! The soaking tub was incredible and the view from the room was really nice as well.
Cons: Wish that for the price you pay a few little things like bottles of water would have been free in the room— especially in this Palm Springs heat. 7$ for a smart water sized bottle of water is insane.
6.3 Good
Pros: It’s a new property so it’s shiny and nice. It has a modern meets mid-century flair design wise. Staff is in par with other Kimptons I’ve stayed at.
Cons: The pool is open until 8pm on week nights and weekends until 10pm. Are you serious! And no 24 hour or late room service
5.0 Okay
Cons: Walls are thin, you can hear evertyrthing from the guy next door pooping and peeing, nice building, but why went cheap
4.5 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good
Cons: the room, customer service, the noise from below, the overpriced drinks, the pet policy
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, spacious rooms, dinner was good, will stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything the breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, the shower had shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. The hotel was quiet the pool had towels out there already, they even had games in the front desk you could barrow which was fun to play. They also give free complimentary dinner Monday Tuesday and Wednesday with wine or beer for free. It was about 5 minutes from stater brothers, jack in the box and about 10 from Target mc Donald's and Walmart
Cons: When checking in the hotel there is a $75 credit/debit hold they put on your card. I was unaware and my stay was non refundable and I was charged the full amount ahead of my stay. so if I didn't have that $75 I would have not been able to check in
4.5 Okay
Cons: We left my son and daughter's dog inside the room...When we returned, the dog was missing from the room... Found outside of the hotel dead... No explanation of why or what happened...? In fact, they had only reached out one time, and had called out a place to pick up the dog to be cremated, prior to them notifying us. When we reach out to the front desk in regards to her whereabouts, and came down to get her, her body was still warm, and they had her boxed up, ready to send out, and had cleaned up the spot where they had originally found her...? We have never been able to find out what actually happened, nor do I think we ever will....?? Very disappointing experience, we will never return......ugh terrible :(

Cons: The pool was horrible. Absolutely no shade on a 113 degree day. There was no coverings anywhere not even basic umbrellas and it was a tiny pool for 176 rooms. Horrible experience
10.0 Excellent

Cons: na

Cons: No complaints
6.0 Good
Pros: This timeshare was fairly nice. The big bummer is that checkout time is 10 am., which is ridiculous! Any other hotel is noon and usually get a late checkout on sundays..
Cons: Checkout time is 10 am..

Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The ambience
Cons: The property has changed. It’s no longer a place to relax. There are many events for children all around the hotel-which is great for families but it makes having a truly relaxing experience, difficult.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved it all!
Cons: The heat - the weather was so hot but that is nothing the hotel could help!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pool service Amanda was superb!
Cons: It’s a bit secluded away from everything but beautiful resort. Adult pool was over crowded with late checkout guests, no room for incoming guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. & food was delicious
Cons: Old & out dated facility. Too expensive for sub par hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Your bell man Jim. Give that guy a raise. Probably the best service I have received ever.
Cons: This is a little picky. Your adult pool felt like a hot tub. Whatever your cooling system is doing, its not working very well. One last detail about the pool. Its the perfect situation for an infinity pool or at the very least some clean glass with hidden borders. It seems such a waste of the view to not do something about that dirty glass that you cant really see out of once you are in the pool.
7.5 Good
Pros: the friendly staff and service
Cons: For the price the food could be better
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Champagne upon check-in, elevated views, afternoon candy bar, pool menu, misters around property, sunscreen available by poolside.
Cons: I had a challenging check-in experience where both myself and another guest were assigned to the same room by mistake. It was resolved promptly.

Pros: The cleanliness and facilities were first class. Everything is within minutes of the resort, should you want to go shopping or go out for meals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms with the king size beds have an amazing balcony with a great shower and jacuzzi in room..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great very privet and quite nice to relax and unwind
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: The buildings are too old!! This place needs a big overhaul. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The staff weren't as nice as you would expect especially in the pool area. Ofcourse over priced drinks by the pool which is kind of expected but the drinks didn't seem to have any alcohol content and mostly just juice. Worst thing is the parking! They charge 15$ for parking and when we came back from dinner at 10pm we had to spend 15 minutes to find a spot for parking which was very far from our room. Would never go back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable resort. The villas have a fully equipped kitchen. There are fun pools and quiet pools. We can recommend and would clearly go there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. My family enjoyed the choice of pools that we could visit. The rooms were wonderful and plenty of space for us to enjoy living there for a week.
Cons: I don't think I would say there was anything that I didn't like. One question was about the evening entertainment. They didn't provide that but we weren't expecting them too.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Not enough umbrellas in the pool are for the guest.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly comfortable beds and linens Nice touch that they shuttle you back and forth from two main pools Starbucks in room coffee is great The fact that your car is right outside your room is so nice for when leaving the property Pool service fast and very good food as well Love that the main pool stays open until midnight
Cons: A little bit noisy hearing people above you if you’re on a ground floor villa
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful unit, very comfortable with a little kid Pool is fun. I like the toddler and big pool combo, with a slide for parent+kid. Will probably come back.
Cons: I don’t like the paid parking. It’s ridiculous unless you would be guaranteed a spot in front of your unit. I also don’t like the timeshare presentation pressure. The last thing I need on vacation is a PowerPoint presentation.
6.8 Good
Cons: Staff was giving mixed up information, staff gave us attitude when we asked for ice. Had an issue with one of the staff members taking one of our group guests beyond where our room was, it made our guest feel unsafe. Had to file a complaint.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location although need a car to get to supermarket and shops. Grounds are well kept . Facitilies within the complex are good and I liked the fact that you can get a buggy to take you around complex rather than walking in the heat. They will ask you if you want a lift when walking and you can call for one to pick you up. The villas are spacious and well equipped and are serviced daily and stocked up with washing powder, washing up liquid and coffee when required. Great for families and for those that like the facilities of a hotel but the flexibility to self cater . Barbeques on balcony are also very good. Would definitely stay again
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, accommodating & friendly staff
Cons: Check out time is way too early, 11 or better yet 12 would be so much more relaxing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: location, no kids
Cons: that we made reservations ahead of time and the desk person told us we had to get the last room which was a handicap room. Which would have not been a problem but I overheard him tell the couple ahead of us oh your lucky you just called today and got our last room. my husband and did not like the breakfast food at all. they offered frozen waffles, instant oatmeal and very small platter of fruit. It was not what we expected. The location of the hotel was good walking district to casino and food places downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room and perfect location. Very friendly and personal welcome.

Pros: Close to stores and restaurants.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: The Mattrerss needs to be replace We stay at room 219 You can feel the springs in your back
7.5 Good
Pros: location was great
Cons: breakfast was terrible... there was nothing there of any quality or quantity. the watermelon had gone off, and tasted disgusting as if i had been left in the heat all day. website there were bikes to rent for free...... there were no bikes! pool had a lot of flies and bugs in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bob welcomed us with such kindness and was sure that we were familiarized with our room and all of the other hotel amenities. It’s a cozy, quiet, beautiful little gem hidden in the downtown area. Best part was that we didn’t even use our car because the prime location made it easy for us to enjoy a walk to coffee, lunch, shopping, etc. such a relaxing getaway. We will most definitely return!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the great music channel that played all the great retro music of the era when Hollywood stayed in Palm Springs "BackintheDay" like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc. Nice and relaxing at the pool.
Cons: Only one tiny thing ~ the A/C in the room didn't stay even throughout the night. Either it was too cold or too warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was wonderful, everyone was so kind to my guest and I, especially greeting us and welcoming us to the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We are repeat customers at the Andreas. Since our first visit a few years ago their have been numerous renovations completed. it was great before, and even nicer this visit. The hotel is clean, quaint and small (25 rooms) and pretty quiet given its location between two main roads. Very comfortable surroundings in the courtyard/ pool area as well . It is perfectly located if you are visiting Palm Springs for the Street Fair that is held on Thursday evenings. We will definitely stay at the Andreas in the future!
Cons: Really didn't have any negatives on this stay at all other than the hotel WiFi seems to have some issues with staying connected.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute, quaint, and unique.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The suite was more money yes, and well worth every penny. The staff was super nice, the drinks by the pool excellent , right across from great shopping and restaurants, this place is classy. I will return for sure.
Cons: The only thing I would suggest to the hotel is upgrade the breakfast menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms
Cons: No parking

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are so lush and well taken care of... makes you feel you are not in the dessert but in some tropical island! Beautiful lobby pool areas!
Cons: Nothing! I loved everything about it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was on the mark.
Cons: Nothing was off balance.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: There were no mirrors in the room.. only in the bathroom. There was no magnifying mirror in the bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were so beautifully manicured and peaceful. Felt like a secret garden with lots of paths to wander through and different areas to discover, with butterflies and birds everywhere. The room was even more beautiful than the pictures suggested. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Blissful days. A top notch experience all around. And I love that there is an adults-only pool, so clutch.
Cons: I didn't like that I ever had to leave! Otherwise, the Parker is also pricier than most other places in PS (for food and drink, not just accommodation).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the property. Was treated to drinks at the bar while we waited for our room and the cocktails were delicious. I found the staff very friendly. The room was comfortable and stylish. The bed was SUPER COMFORTABLE. Loved that you could text the property with questions. The pools were great. We did not dine on the property. The valets were prompt and were super sweet, more than happy to take photos in front of the iconic front doors. Amazing lounge and lobby by Jonathan Adler, super chic and fun.
Cons: We were not told about the property or amenities which I believe was an oversight. For example, we discovered the gift shop was located in the spa when we overheard another guest.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amenities and complimentary facilities were beyond expectation
Cons: bugs in the lawn
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel & exceeded all expectations!
Cons: Check in was a little slack
1.0 Poor
Pros: very clean, nice staff
Cons: the resort fee is a scam--you need to stop charging your customers hidden fees. this room was advertised as $--- per night plus tax, not $--- plus extra, non-negotiable fees, plus tax. No hotel should ever do this--it's nickel-and-diming us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were beyond amazing. Service, food and drinks generous and good. Valet was convenient and fast. Rooms were unusual, spectacular, and well stocked.
Cons: Pools too small to accommodate the number of people at the resort (and this was off-season). Wasn't able to check in until well after 5 p.m. - awkward.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place has a unique charm and style.
Cons: Too hot during summer 110F
Alcazar Palm Springs - Palm Springs - Building

9.0 Excellent (446 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Palm Springs (Uptown Design District), Alcazar Palm Springs is within a 15-minute walk of San Jacinto Mountains and Palm Springs Art Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.5 Good
Pros: This is a beautiful resort in a very convenient location. The facilities are first rate, the rooms are nicely appointed, if just a bit sparse, and the grounds are gorgeous.
Cons: The evening noise level is horrible. The road traffic on Indian Canyon Drive was relentless - the hum of auto traffic was bad enough, but the rumbling through the cement floor of the room every time a car passed by sounded like someone was dragging a trunk across the ceiling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Despite being a really hot time to visit Palm Springs, Alcazar made for a pleasant and convenient place to stay. Upon arrival, the woman working at the front desk was friendly and took time to show us the property. They offered coffee, juice, and pastries each morning, but she suggested visiting Cheeky's for a more complete breakfast (good choice). The room was clean and came with standard amenities. They have several different room layouts, so one would need to read the description closely and make sure photos are of the same room type. We used the pool area a lot - the water felt great during the heat. The property is located close to plenty of restaurants and shops. We visited in July, so it wasn't high season, but parking wasn't much of an issue anyway - it would be easy for most to walk to the downtown shops without needing to drive.
Cons: As an early riser who was visiting from the east coast, it would have been great to have a coffee on-site before the front desk and lounge opened - there was no coffee maker in the room. It wasn't a major issue with a nice coffee shop a block away (Koffi).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central to restaurants. Very relaxing & clean
Cons: Sometimes there was a bad smell of mildew. Probably from the water misters and the intense heat
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect - a short walk from downtown Palm Springs, which was nice because it was quieter. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was easy and the rooms were comfortable.
Cons: The room could use a paint job and the vents could use some cleaning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super comfy beds with big down comforter. It’s clean
Cons: Wish they were a little more strict on the noise level at the pool. This size hotel should be adults only. Just a suggestion
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Would have been good to have a coffee machine in the room. The air con was SO loud, we struggled to get a good night sleep (though the bed was very comfortable).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful property, close to great restaurants.
Cons: We were moved to a suite, due to an maintenance issue in our room. The suite was beautiful, and spacious. So, we decided to beat the heat a bit, and enjoy our room for a while, because the pool was full. After a nap on the little red couch, I woke up a little itchy, but didn’t think too much of it. But, by the end of the night, my feet and legs were covered in bites. Clusters of tiny red bite marks, trailing up my legs and arms...BED BUGS! After going to the nearby rite-aid and buying OFF!, Cortisone 10, and Benadryl, we reluctantly made it through the last night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Privacy and the pool
Cons: The white rooms need some contrast colors to give it a relaxing vibe
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, quite
Cons: No coffee in the rooms. No coffee or danish in the lobby until 7:30 am. I was in the area for business. Sometimes leaving at 6:30, therefore, was forced to find coffee and something to eat on my own. So much for the free breakfast!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Loved location, and unique rooms... Reminded me of what old Hollywood would have been like. Will definitely recommend and come back
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing from the room to pool area The trees and gardens really beautiful
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unreal. So so so clean and clean cut. Amazing location. Literally 0.5 seconds away from the main strip. Super friendly staff, amazing food at cheeky’s and pool was so amazing. Stunning view. Room was stunning. So fresh and spacious. Would highly recommend and will be coming back for sure in the future.

Pros: The hotel is nestled in the heart of Palm Springs. You enter threw the back. As you walk in you see hammocks everywhere even one in my private patio and a private sauna in my room! Loved my stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the ambiance, loved the trees and buitiful plantsaround the property. Rooms where nice and clean.
Cons: could use some stronger brewed coffee.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Needs better bed. Pillows and sheets are perfect. Just my bed was lumpy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s just the best, friendly, clean, relaxing. It’s our “go to” place in Palm Springs
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, private, and old-school Palm Springs.
Cons: The rooms are really dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I don’t have enough space to write about all the good things! The staff was amazing, the facility was beautiful, the room was very clean and comfortable. I am not a fan of large resorts and so this hotel was perfect for my partner and I. The hammocks were a great, relaxing way to end the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Private, quiet, and great place for a quick couples getaway. Staffs extremely friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not crowded, Location, cleanliness, Spanish style rooms and music also the restaurant
Cons: We enjoyed it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were beautifully kept & the place was quiet.
Cons: I would have liked a larger dresser under the TV to use for some of my things or a larger desk.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The food was delicious, great authentic Mexican food.
Cons: We wish poolside food/drinks were easier to order rather than walking over to the restaurant.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Good margaritas and close to a great breakfast spot.
Cons: Linens were dirty. Drinking water by the pool sat out for days without being cleaned or refilled. Rooms smelled funky. Booked pool area for large private parties with non- guests. Manager not very pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: loved the location, mellow pool area, and comfy bed.
Cons: not being able to have your own water at the pool is ridiculous. Its so hot out and having to wait to have a staff member bring you a drink is unacceptable. I understand no personal food, but unless you have a bar RIGHT in the pool area, having your own beverages seem like a necessity in the heat.
