Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great location! Pet friendly, they even included a special bed and bowls for my dog. They also provided treats to the dog every time we came back from walks.
Very nice and helpful staff. Awesome location. Nice lobby, restaurant/bar I booked a king but got a room with two twins (or two EXTREMELY small queens), bathroom wasn't very clean and bed and pillows were not very comfortable.
LOVED THE Location and loved this Hotel! BEAUTIFUL
In a world where wifi has become fundamental for communication and information, and is offered for free all over the world because it is an inexpensive way to draw business, the fairmont charges $14 per day. I would have paid if it was just included in the already expensive room rate. As intended, I didn't read the fine print and was shocked to find out I had to go to the lobby to work. I was on a business trip. Also, I had to set the thermostat to 90, the maximum, to warm the room. It was never comfortably warm.
Grand. Our 6th floor (away from elevator) room very quiet. Concierge excellent. Small bathroom. Toilet-sink-shower w/o space between. Avg sized rooms. Fitness center a bit below avg (equipment amount & range) for hotel size/status. Expensive.
The location Way overpriced compared to service and how old and outdated the rooms are. The bathtub was peeling, the hot water would go away in the sink, you had to constantly regulate it. They don't tell you ahead of time the cost of parking, which was almost $50.00 a day, otherwise I would have looked for an alternative, they just hit you with a bill dropped in front of your room door on the last day of your stay so you don't yell at them at checkout.
The hotel in located in Downtown Vancouver, walking distance to many Restaurants ,shopping and Cruise ship peer. Location ,Quality of the hotel rooms.
Everything was generally good except for the wifi and thermostat in the room The "free" internet service in the room was unusable. I could connect, but the connection would drop after a minute or so. Could not reconnect without rebooting my laptop. The process would then repeat itself. Called tech support, who wanted to make configuration changes to my computer. Given this property is the only place where I've ever had a problem, I declined -- and went down to the lobby to use Starbucks' wifi. Also, could not get the room cool enough. Woke up in the middle of the night perspiring. A find this is a common issue in hotels these days with the occupancy sensing thermostats, but at this property the issue extended even to active periods in the room -- even with the temperature set to 65.
wonderful staff. Extremely helpful. Expensive food offering. We did not eat at the hotel due to high costs.
I arrived at 2.0 pm and asked for my room, but it wasn't ready until 4.0pm. I reserved a deluxe suite with downtown view, but I got one with a swimming pool view. It was a bit challenging to get my room.
Beautiful hotel and location Restaurant is excellent Try to do a breakfast package. Well worth it.
Staff I have stayed at hotels that cost 2/3 the cost of this place in Vancouver and were just as nice if not better. I am very confused why I paid $600 a night to stay here.
We were pleased to discover lovely furniture, richly coloured carpets, wall coverings and draperies. Delivered the feel of old-world Europe! Great experience overall was further spiced up with small surprises- delicious, relaxing camomile tea became our soothingly nightcap, and an excellent in-room African blend coffee started the day off right. Also happy to find the bedside clock with a built-in smartphone charger/mount - all too rare in hotels...
no slippers in room ...
Location, helpful staff and access to fitness center were excellent. elevators and carpets ingeneral (rooms and aísles) are very deteriorated.
close to train station coffee maker in room worked well Lions Pub was good felt safe Hotel is a few floors in a tall building...not a 4 or 5 star experience...harbor view was partial...breakfast very minimal, better at a sleep inn...furniture worn and outdated...not romantic
Great location, nice amenities and room. Friendly staff and very clean. Bed a bit too soft. Elevator shaft was audible and a bit annoying.
Was advertised as a supreme king suite. We opened the door on the 16th floor expecting a suite. A seperate seating area. Somewhere we could sit & look at the view of the harbour & Stanley park. Instead we found a king size bed, with 1 chair in the corner. A coffee maker with only plastic cups to drink our dark roast coffee, that once we added whitner it turned gray. The small tv on the wall was off to 1 side, leaving 1 person to sit on the bed ( which was quite comfortable) on an awkward angle. Overall it was a nice hotel that left a sour taste
The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet
They are not cat friendly. The room we stayed in allowed our cat to run up into a crawl space including the ceiling and potentially the walls and ceilings of nearby rooms. This was a living nightmare, as she disappeared for close to ten minutes while hotel staff had no idea what to do. I'm sure the hotel is lovely if you don't have a cat, but if you do, avoid this hotel at all costs.
Location and service. Needs a larger restaurant
Nice bed linens. Large windows. Vending machine unavailable. Ice machines difficult to locate. Lobby furniture not inviting. Carpeting difficult to roll luggage on.
