Cons: "Unclear info on upgrade [priority boarding when upgraded?]. Inability to upgrade ticket made using mileage points or upgrade at counter at gate."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and accommodating, and service was good"
Cons: "I purchased a basic economy ticket and upon checking in, my Delta app said my seat was unassigned and I had to get my boarding pass at the airport. I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."
Cons: "The redesign of seats means that very few of Delta's planes can actually accommodate a sherpa-style pet carrier, even though they are an industry standard for in-cabin travel. Further complicating the problem is that the clearance under the seat varies depending where in the cabin you're seated. It's become an extremely stressful proposition for which I have the privilege of paying an extra +$100 each way whilst having to give up one of my carry ons. As far as I can see, the charge is just straight up greed, since no one would be able to use the space beneath the seat in front of me, anyway, and carrying on my cat cause zero extra work for the crew. I'm going to have rethink my loyalty to Delta. At least with Southwest, they'll let me check two bags for no additional cost."
Pros: "Smooth. Fast."
Pros: "very attentive service and remarkably tasty food in first class"
Cons: "seat was tight. not much legroom and very claustrophobic when the person in front of me reclined his seat."
Pros: "One of the male flight attendants was very nice"
Cons: "No food was provided, there was a throw up stain on my first flight to Atlanta then on my connecting flight there was crumbs on my table, my boyfriends table did not want to close so that caused discomfort to the person in front of us. Boarding time took a very very long time"
Pros: "Boarding was easy and fast"
Cons: "Seats were cramped"
Cons: "Flight attendants were a little snobby and didn't treat all passengers equally, in my humble opinion (note: I was sitting in 1st class)."
Pros: "Nothing to like.."
Cons: "Everything about the flight..."
Pros: "On time and convenience of the connection"
Cons: "Airplanes were a little bit old"
Pros: "Always have great experience with Delta flight attendants and staff. The entertainment on mobile phone was a really nice add-on, I had never seen before."
Cons: "Flight was delayed in taking off, waiting for connecting passengers. Plane was old, which is most Delta planes, but this one showed it. The tray table looked like it was from the 70s or 80s. Flying into Midway instead of O'hare was anticlimactic."
Pros: "free tequuila"
Cons: "norte americano gringo scum from hell usa terrorist pigs"
Pros: "The pilot did a good job flying considering the conditions."
Cons: "Delta and Midway airport did not handle the weather conditions as well as they could have. Communications we terrible and no one adapted quickly to handle things properly. Of course the winter weather alert was mostly to blame, but what could be done to smooth things out didn't happen."
Pros: "Had the row to myself"
Cons: "No complaints"
"Maintenance delay for 2 hours after Canceling my flight earlier in the week. So typical for this poorly run airline. Will make better choices for future flights."

Pros: "The flight was on time. I got lucky and was seated with extra legroom and was very very grateful. No drama - nice and easy."
Cons: "When we were checking in I wasn’t sure where to lineup to put my luggage in. The lines for the kiosks were also confusing. Some more direction that I think would be helpful at Philadelphia airport."
Pros: "Crew was fine, outlets were nice"
Cons: "It should be a crime to have a fully packed plane in the middle of covid. It’s also illogical to not serve food but allow people to bring food on, doesn’t make it more covid safe. I will avoid American Airlines in the future."
Cons: "2.5 hour delay no explanation"
Pros: "Seats were okay, even with an upgrade, still tight and I'm only 5'3". Drinks and snacks were served so plan ahead for food to Hawaii. Otherwise, I feel like there staff was great and doing their best to make everyone safe and respected."

Cons: "Maybe some water"
Pros: "The flight was on time and the plane was clean and new."

Pros: "Bags are no where to be found after landing 25 minutes ago"
Cons: "Cool AC, it was hot! AC barely working or set too low."
Cons: "Flight was rerouted to another airport due to poor weather at Philly. 3 hours later we arrived at Philly, but I missed my connecting flight."
Pros: "Good overall."
Pros: "Ended up with a row to myself since flight wasn't full and people were able to move to different seats to provide for social distancing."
Cons: "Spacing people out until this covid is over"
Cons: "They could start by not allowing a non-compliant passenger ON THE PLANE. When he was already not compliant in the damn terminal. (Dude didn’t wanna wear a mask) forced the captain to circle back and screw our timing for our connecting flight. You might say, how can we blame AA, well, because they chose to allow him to become a problem and then exasperated it by allowing him in the damn door of the plane. Now we got stuck in Charlotte for the night. Nothing like being late for your Grandma’s funeral. Pathetic AA! PATHETIC!"
Pros: "Short, sweet and great crew."
Pros: "Seat was comfortable. Crew was professional."
Cons: "Loading plane was a little chaotic and the comfortable seat was a little overpriced for the legroom."
Cons: "Not as crowded as the LAX to PHX"
Pros: "The plane was clean"
Cons: "More spacing with the whole Covid-19 thing going on"
Pros: "Nice to fly again!"
Cons: "Have at least water offered"

Pros: "Seats were great! No snackage... #covid19"
Pros: "Nice leg room in exit row"
Cons: "My travel companion and I encountered the most unfriendly and non respondent flight crew of all time."
Pros: "The plane had really soft, puffy, comfy headrests. These were the best headrests I've ever encountered on any flight. I wish these were on every plane."
Cons: "1. Departure gate gets inexplicably moved to an entirely different concourse. 2. Gate agent offers to check bags through to destination, then when I go up, offers to gate-tag my bag. Why did you say you could check the bags through, then? 3. The long, ridiculous AA boarding process consisting of 9 groups and 2 short lanes, taking about 20 minutes to get 30 people outside. 4. 30 people wander around outside on the tarmac, trying to find a sign for Albuquerque. 5. BAGGAGE HANDLERS tell some of the passengers that the planes have been switched, and we should now board the plane marked Flagstaff. 6. Gate agents come outside, receive information from -- again -- BAGGAGE HANDLERS -- and then tell everyone to go back inside. 7. Once inside, gate agents tell passengers they have no idea what is going on, where they will be departing from, or when. 8. Gate agents tell passengers to go through the (long, ridiculous) boarding process a second time, and get on the second plane on the left. 9. A couple of PASSENGERS remind the gate agent that the baggage handlers specifically said that plane was not going to Albuquerque. 10. Gate agents change their minds, and tell passengers to get on a different plane. 11. We finally get on the damn plane."
Pros: "The counter attendant was helpful in changing our seats so could sit together."
Cons: "The flight attendant when first boarding was extremely rude. We had a bag we brought on three previous legs of our total travel which was considered by all of the other attendants as a personal item. This particular attendant very rudely informed us it was not, and we needed to check it. When we tried to explain the previous flights she responded with “I just explained this to the other passengers...it’s not allowed.” We didn’t argue, and gave the bag to the personnel in attendance, but the tone for the duration of the flight continued."
Pros: "This was the same crew and pilot from the flight I took to LAX. His landing was so smooth, I woke up pleasantly upon landing!"
Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."
Cons: "Food, attitude of flight attendants, comfort of cabin. Pilot took charge of thermostat issue and kept us informed in a friendly manner regarding the status of our take off and flight progress."
Cons: "Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim (with a hajib) women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to. Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"
Cons: "I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."
Cons: "We were downgraded from Main Cabin Extra rows 7 and 8 to row 30. We were told that we will get refund automatically. However, we received nothing. Getting a refund back is now becomes a very complicated process with zero transparency. Main Cabin Extra is kind of a scam. We bought it specifically for an extra leg room. However, on the flight from PHX to BOS, all seats in the economy class have the same leg room. The agent explicitly told us that on this plane all seats are the same. So, they offer product they do not have and collect money. Sounds like a scam to me."
Pros: "Entertainment, 110 plugins for devices, internet."
Cons: "only free meal option was cinnamon cookies."
Pros: "Standard flight , however I can't believe what most passengers bring on as cabin baggage !!"
Cons: "Evening meal of a turkey sandwich on dry bread was forgettable and considering that they co-share with Qantas , American could learn about providing a decent meal on a long expensive flight"
Cons: "Again out of snacks and she skipped our row for drinks. Again small issues but what else are they doing?"
Pros: "Flight was on time. Plane was clean. Staff very professional."
"All was excellent"
"My family in Arizona didn’t have a printer to print our return flight tickets, so I took a screenshot of our tickets on my phone. Apparently, when you go through security they enlarge the QR code, which makes it blurry, so it can’t be scanned. We had to go back to the check in desk and pay $5 for each ticket to be printed. Lesson learned, print out all flight tickets before you leave."
Cons: "They charged $3 for water, nothing complementary."
Cons: "Give complimentary water"
Pros: "Crew was good but baggage claim took forever. The seating was not well arranged. The seats were very uncomfortable. The weight limit of the bags were unreasonable"

Cons: "The ticket lady was rude just nasty and upset for no reason."
Cons: "It is Allegiant Air. Not much more needs to be said."
Pros: "Flight attendants were very kind, attentive and caring. There was a special needs girl in the same row as me that was by herself and they were always making sure she was okay and comfortable as well as the rest of the plane."
Cons: "Unclear pricing for carry on bag, could have saved $30 by paying at the ticket counter (even though I was sent an eticket and boarding pass); got stuck paying $50 at the gate."
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Not having so many extra charges and having to pay for a carry on"
Pros: "Enjoyed isle seat."
Cons: "Wider seats."
Pros: "I didn’t enjoy anything about this flight unfortunately it was my worst experience with an airline that I’ve ever had."
Cons: "I had checked my bag with was a personal bag and they said it fit inside the metal stand they had so when I proceeded to board another lady had told me I’d pay $50 or wouldn’t get on. She was very rude she let me friend with two bags go on without paying. I took four flights and never had this issue"
Pros: "The crew was very nice and professional. Seats were as comfortable as they can be"
Cons: "I really didn't have any problems , very pleased with the airline"
Pros: "I finally got home"
Cons: "We took off 3 hours late. No transparency about what the delay was or how long, they just kept stringing us along 30 minutes to an hour at a time."
Pros: "Smooth timely flight without incident."
Cons: "As retired military we were to have assigned seats since we purchased our tickets but somehow our return tickets separated us by 2 rows & opposite sides of plane. We were supposed to be in an isle seat & a window seat in the same side & row. We do appreciate all Allegiant Air does for the military. Wish all airlines did what they do."
Cons: "The seats were a bit cramped but I suppose most are these days"
Cons: "Lousy airline. Left gate late and unfriendly crew. Wanted to charge me for carry on."
Pros: "Flight left early and was at destination 30 minutes earlier!"
Cons: "On the return trip, I had to wait 30 minutes for my luggage."
Cons: "Seats are hard"
Cons: "they charged me more money because i need alleges air . ap"
Pros: "Crew likes to have fun with their passengers -- making the whole experience that much more enjoyable. It's a budget airline so you have to pay for things like refreshments and snacks (also, carryons and if you want you boarding pass printed at the airport) -- but don't let that sway you! All it takes is a little prior organization (we packed a couple of sandwiches and printed our passes at home, plus packed very light). Overall a great experience."
Pros: "The entire crew we're so accommodating and Robin was hilarious, made the hassle of traveling enjoyable and entertaining."
Cons: "Nothing all was great!"
Pros: "Quick non stop."
Pros: "Like the small airport quick boarding!"
Cons: "Not lots of leg room, no reclining seats, bummer everything costs extra even water. But ok for price"
Pros: "Wow, what an awesome flight , crew, price, and nice airport. Doing to try this again next time."
Cons: "Took forever to get the bags but hey , it is Christmas !"
Pros: "Overall very helpful and friendly crew, good flying e perience"
Cons: "Boarding is unorganized and takes extra time for everyone.....not exactly sure why it took so long. Don’t know if other airlines have better systems?"
Cons: "15 minutes waiting for luggage—still none out."
Pros: "Love the Military advantages. Thank you. Feels good to be honored & respected."
Pros: "Fast and efficient!"
Cons: "Everything was great!"
Pros: "Mostly the Price! Wonderful Crew Too!"
Cons: "Wish they had flights on Friday and later on Sunday..."
Pros: "Last week I flew to Florida on this airline. I quickly wrote a stellar review because the flight crew was sincere, nice and kind. Apparently, that is against policy and on this flight there was no hint of that nice attitude. No frills, no courtesy, just transportation."
Pros: "Considering the fare was advertised between $350 and $700 with other carriers on Kayak, I took this one for $179, roundtrip, direct from LAX to Grand Junction."
Cons: "When the crew runs to get coffee in the terminal, make sure to do the same. I brought some snacks, but wish I had brought coffee. The man next to me kept creeping into my space which was incredibly annoying, but it was a relatively quick flight. Beats the two day drive from L.A. to Colorado."
Pros: "Easy airport. Easy for rental return, going through security, and walking to the terminal. Quick loading time. Nice, clean plane with plenty of on-board crew to accomodate."
Cons: "Damage to checked baggage from Mesa to SGF. A quality, thick, hard-sided suitcase developed a crack in the side. Abnormal pressure would have had to be applied to cause this type of damage. Cheaper or soft-sided luggage would have experienced damage to the contents. Unfortunately, I did not check the luggage before leaving the airport to file a complaint."
Pros: "The fight"
Pros: "It was so fun to have a flight attendant that had a great sense of humor. She kept us in stitches throughout the flight."
Pros: "Smooth boarding"
Pros: "The flight was on time and the staff were courteous."
Pros: "We had kids wound up from Disney and caused all kinds of problems. Normally the attendants are irritated, every single one of these remained genuinely polite. I really thought the staff/crew were great. Other than that the flight was fine, a little late, but all went well."
Cons: "First Allegiant flight, so I did not realize the 40 lb bag limit. Made for a last minute headache during checkin."
Pros: "landed safe ."
Cons: "long delay . actual usual delays with airline . with out exception get very sick every time i fly with allegiant . makes me question proper hygentic maintaince / ventallation system vac and clean. i fly jet blue, southwest and virgin, usually with out illness. if there are health checks by the airline , post them !"
Pros: "flight attendants"
Cons: "flight was delayed 4 hrs"
Cons: "I didn't like the schedule time change. Very inconvenient missed some of my planned festivities that were prepaid."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and did their best under difficult circumstances."
Cons: "Takeoff was delayed by 2 hours. When we arrived in Rapid City, we were stuck in the taxiway for more than half an hour before we could get to our gate."
Pros: "It is a low cost carrier. You get what you pay for"
Pros: "Cheat, direct flight from LA to Boise."
Cons: "Absolute bare bones. Like riding the city bus."
Pros: "The crew was fine. The seats were small and did not recline"
Cons: "They could have handed out water and a snack in a bag. Instead they charge 2.99 for a bottle of water."
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "On time"
Cons: "I was bumped from the flight I booked 3 weeks in advance because they over booked, and frontier made me pay 120$ to catch the next flight which was not nonstop, and added an 8 hour layover"
Pros: "They dint load"
Cons: "They dint load my bag and I have nothing to change and I can’t even brush my teeth coz all my stuff is in my bag. Very irresponsible not even cordial. A lady name Jean was there she doesn’t even bother answering the concerns. V bad experience and vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv poor service."
Pros: "Fast Boarding"
Pros: "Crew was very nice"
Cons: "Better off paying more upfront with any other airline. As tickets will end up being same by the time you finish paying for luggage and your seat. Not worth the hassle and discomfort"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "The food wasn't free on the airline"
Cons: "Not one employee cares"
Pros: "Everything works well! Didn't try food, no comments! No enternment on board!"
Cons: "No enternment on board!"
Pros: "The crew, captain and great customer service."
Cons: "The seats, uncomfortable and some of the passengers were acting like big kids. They wasn't following directions from the flight crew."
Pros: "expeditious boarding, low fare"
Cons: "bad seats they do not recline of a 3-plus hour flight, no snacks or drinks without charges,"
Pros: "The plane didn't crash"
Cons: "They charge you for everything. (A cup of water is free) $45 for a carry on bag"
Pros: "The crew was professional."
Cons: "The food/beverage cost was to expensive so I chose not to purchase. The seats are to close and your cramped together. I had to wait a long time for wheelchair on my arrival back home. I don't like the fact I had to pay additional cost $90 for my checked luggage and carry on bag. The cost was more expensive at the counter. My ticket was $85. No entertainment was offered."
Pros: "Literally, nothing."
Cons: "Had to pay for drink or snacks. No wifi. No tvs. Small seats. Flight delayed 9 hours making it into a red eye."
Cons: "extra baggage fees for a single carry-on & having to pay $5 to choose my seat after already buying a ticket---price was not what initially seemed to be"
Pros: "Flight was less expensive"
Cons: "My pregnant wife had to beg for water. No one came around during the flight and asked if we wanted water. Not sure if I will be flying Frontier again."
Pros: "The plane was bigger than most"
Cons: "The bumpiest ride I've ever had. And I fly a lot. The staff was ghetto and laughed at customers and were mean. Couldn't hear instructions over the intercom on the plane. Paid 2x's what a flight should cost due to bags and extra fees. Never again."
Pros: "Crew was friendly. Was pleasantly surprised I didn't have to pay for the air we breathed."
Cons: "Must pay for everything: checked bags, carry-on (spoiler alert - carry-on is more expensive than checked bags), beverage service (water is the only complementary option), seat selection (I'm not clear what happens if you don't pay to choose a seat - do they pick one for you? Mysteriously, the rates to pick seats were higher for outbound flights than they were for the return flight). My impression was that I would have had to pay for a boarding pass if I didn't print one ahead of time. Total cost with all fees was definitely not the cheapest route - plan on at least $150 additional fees to add to your round trip ticket cost. I tried to get smart on my return, so I downloaded the Frontier app to my phone only to get a dagger-stare from TSA going through security because I had to show them my boarding pass on my phone instead of having a paper pass they could scribble on."
Pros: "The pilot was very nice and let my 3 kids into the cockpit. Plus, he kept the plane well informed. The flight was nice and safe."
Cons: "The seats on these newer planes are ridiculous. The snack tray is so tiny - it really through a wrench into the activities we had planned for the kids. The website really "spins" why paying extra for everything is to your advantage - I don't think so - it's called greed! I longed for an older plane with what we use to think was bad seating - they would feel like a comfortable couch now. These new seats are a pre-formed plastic seat with flimsy material stretched over it. No wifi and no entertainment options. This is truly bare-bones flying."
Pros: "Typical flight service (which is better than I was expecting), staff was friendly and seemed helpful"
Cons: "Taxi'ing for about 15 min one landing, getting hit with carry-on fees while checking-in, probably would not fly with them again unless I was packing very light, otherwise you should just go with a larger airline and not risk flight cancellations/delays/runway taxi."
Pros: "On time- departure and arrival."
Cons: "Flight attendants did not ask all passengers if wanted something to eat or drink. When i inquired whether she would be returning to take an order the response was "I was not planning on it". She was quite rude about it."
Pros: "The crew were good and informative. Flight was average."
Cons: "Just be prepared that whatever you might save on tickets, you will pay back in baggage fees (checked or carry-on), any food or beverage, even a guaranteed seats together if you are traveling with anyone."
Cons: "Surprised at how much we were nickel and dimed. Carry-ons cost $45 each. Checked bags cost $40 each. The crew seemed apathetic and exhausted. We were delayed an hour then sat on the runway for another hour before departing. No explanations were given either in the terminal or from the pilot. We will try very hard not to fly Frontier again if we can at all help it."
Cons: "Colulsnt come to work for 2 days. No symphaty From the Frontier emlpyees or offering anything, pretty Poor experience"
Pros: "The woman at the check in counter was nice"
Cons: "All of it. Horrible seats that are so piled on top of each other that I felt like cattle; nickel and dining us every chance you had; poor communication via email and text that the flights are delayed; HORRIBLE customer service online and via phone (I'd rather talk to Comcast than Frontier); no wifi or entertainment on the flight, which for a 2.5 HR flights is rediculous. One of the worst flight experience ever."
Cons: "misled on carry on costs. tried to get bundle but employees could not articulate Make sure you add in costs of bags and then compare....."
Pros: "I was glad the flight had room to move around and I was able to change seats to watch out the window. I was especially glad to have seating room. Also it was a pleasure to ride in a newer aircraft."
Pros: "Always on time."
Cons: "You have to pay for EVERYTHING. Even your carry-on. Yea, you paid for your flight but you have to pay extra to actually get a seat. Oh! But You are allowed one free personal item (only if it fits under the seat in front of you.)"
Cons: "Frontier makes online check in very difficult."
Pros: "Quick, organized check in"
Cons: "TINY seats..... minimal legroom...... stationary seat backs"
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful staff."
Cons: "Just disliked that a checked bag was $40. I was flying for a wedding for the weekend. Other than that the experience was good."
Cons: "The highway to the airport in Phoenix was shut down due to a murder on the highway. I took an alternate route. Then the construction at the airport and the signage was terrible. I stood in line curbside to check my bag at what I thought was frontier but it was delta. By the time I got to the frontier desk, they closed the flight. They said they could get me on the flight but not my bag. My bag had my sales materials in it. It had to go with me. I ended up on a United Flight. Cancelled Frontier and they charged me 99.00 to cancel!!! And I had trip protection but it does not cover incidents like this! UGH! It was my first experience with Frontier. I did not know they were fee heavy. I will not fly them again."
Cons: "Frontier charged me carry-on baggage hidden fees $40 total, I'm not happy about it and will never fly frontier again and I'd suggest if you're reading this to not either"
Pros: "The people who flew on the flight."
Cons: "The nickel and diming. $35 carry on fee to have my purse is very disappointing and an additional $40 for first bag checked. I was not aware basic beverage except small cup full of water was a cost for beverages. I understand specialty drinks and achoholic beverages would have a cost and this was 3 hour flight. The savings I had on the ticket was eaten and I invested more than what the competition offered. Best of luck to those who fly. Know a good flight is a safe and non tragedy experience"
Pros: "I sat in the front of the plane with a lot of leg room etc. so I don't have much to complain about, but everything was amazing."
Cons: "No free condiments/drinks like American Airlines. Seats are uncomfortable after long flights no matter where you sit."
Pros: "The actual flight itself was smooth and as expected."
Cons: "Everything else but the actual on air time itself was awful. At ORD the lines were short/fast but the agent was a little rude, it was my first time flying Frontier so I just had a few questions and she made me feel like I was annoying her or wasting her time. At the gate the boarding process was as expected, except I think the gate agent could have done a bit better crowd control, it was really cumbersome to get across the multitudes of people with unassigned seats or later zones that were clogging up the entrance just standing there. The flight was smooth. Upon arrival at PHX luggage took upwards of 30+ minutes to arrive and some passengers had to wait much longer. My luggage arrived damaged. I filed a report at the Frontier desk but their response was to ask me to leave my broken luggage there, take my items in clear trash bag and wait for a voucher. How am I supposed to take my items to a hotel for business meetings in a trash bag? That's not an acceptable solution to a problem I did not create, baggage handlers did it. When I got to the hotel I realized that the items I had on the front pocket of my luggage were tampered with and one item was missing. I was told I could go spend the money to replace my luggage and bring them back the receipt, and then leave them the broken luggage cause and I quote "you can't have it all". What does that even mean? I can't have MY luggage? That I brought in perfect condition and the baggage handler broke? Come on. They did not explain if they would offer a refund immediately upon receiving my receipt, it was all very rushed and vague and I was going to miss my transport so I had to leave. They did not give me a claim number or a number to call back at. Nothing. I wasn't even being rude or loud or annoyed like some customers get when these things arise. I understood perfectly that it was an accident and these things happen, but I still deserved a proper response and decent treatment, since I just paid $45 for a checked bag only to have it be broken. On the day of my departure from PHX I arrived at the airport on time, 2 hours and 15 minutes earlier from my departure. I stood in line at Frontier for an entire hour to check in my luggage even though I had checked in online and already paid my fee. I asked if there was a place for people who already were checked in and a rude airport staff member told me to just "get back in line". After waiting in line for that long suddenly the desk agent yells to all the passangers from a flight to Denver to move up to the front of the line, so about 100 or more people move ahead of me despite the vast majority of them having arrived late. I understand their flight was leaving earlier but what about our flight? How is it reasonable or fair to reward people for being late and make people who have been dutifully and calmly waiting in line FOR AN HOUR standing with heavy bags wait even longer? The whole thing was just terrible!"
Pros: "Speedy boarding, take off was smooth."
Cons: "Seating was a little cramp, landing was rough."
Pros: "The only person who seemed to like his job was the gentleman checking in our bag (which unfortunately costs 40 dollars instead of the expected 30. Difference being we didnt check in online)...."
Cons: "..... EVERYONE else, though, were debbie downers - no smile, no happy attitude, no good signs of a positive trip. Asked one of the flight attendants for water so my significant other could take her prescription pills and she nodded her head in a way that it was too much trouble for her to do. Oh, and we never seen that water. Besides that, a child behind my other's seat constantly kicked the tray up and down attached to it, which made it IMPOSSIBLE to get any sleep. Granted, this is probably a parenting issue, its staff responsibility to recognize issues and at least try to resolve them. They charge per general/economy seating making the ticket price untrue in value so expect to pay a MINIMUM 20 dollars more than you bargained for. Also, as every other airline I have flown with included a free carry on bag during travel, fronteir did not - they choose to charge their customers more for a carry on than the 50 pound checked in bag. Better to go with AA or Delta or United, etc. Pay the extra dollar because in the end your actaullt saving in comparison to Frontier. Something is just totally off about this airline in general and I WILL NEVER fly with them again"
Cons: "The flight price looked great and like I was saving money, I was very wrong. By the time that I was charged to select my seat, pay for my one bag, and pay for a soda on the flight, I could have flown a different airline and saved money. The flight was delayed both ways. The way home was even worse. It was delayed 4 hours because of three different issues and we had to change plans. The crew was extremely rude to people who were inquiring about the delays. I will never, ever fly this airline again..."
Cons: "The seat headrest was uncomfortable hard to sleep.."
Pros: "Ease of boarding clean great take off great landing on time"
Cons: "cramped quarters hate paying for carry on"
Pros: "Nothing really we got there."
Cons: "The 3 hours early message and having my flight delayed by two more hours because the pilot was last."
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Seat are very uncomfortable and too close to each other. Water is the only free beverage and no snacks. You basically pay for everything like carry on bags, preferred seating, in flight snacks and beverages."
Pros: "I liked the ease of boarding and clenliness of plane. Crew was friendly and helpful"
Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable, didn't recline, usually I have no problem sleeping on planes and I had some issues with these."
Pros: "Being on time and boarding."
Cons: "Charges for selecting seat."
Cons: "Should ha e been aware when booking the extra charge for carry on luggage!"
Cons: "Seats. Room. Service"
Cons: "Seriously, it was a horrible experience. Everyone complains that they're misleading with the cost, but it really just adds up to what you pay on other lines, maybe slightly less still. BUT, so not worth it. Spend the extra money elsewhere. Terrible customer service. Seriously, there were 3 people that were nice, everyone else was flat out rude. Both on the phone and in person. And I was nice to them even though I was really upset, which was hard to do. Our first flight was delayed 8 hours for maintenance. We got a $10 food voucher and a $100 flight voucher. Not the best compensation considering the duration of our time in the airport and the cost of food, plus the fact that our flight was more than $100. We couldn't use the flight voucher on our return flight because it was already booked (even though a supervisor prior to that said we could), so that was worthless since I have no interest in flying with them ever again. I found out later that the flight voucher can at least be used for baggage and seat selection on the return flight, which no one mentioned even when I specifically asked multiple people (including a different supervisor) what it could be used for. But that didn't help me out either since... the flight back was flat out cancelled 40 mins before it was due to leave because they didn't have a crew to fly it due to weather issues elsewhere. The next flight they could get us on was two days later or 2 weeks later... We got a refund, but of course since it was such short notice then booking on another airline was far more expensive and they don't make up the difference. It seemed like Frontier runs things so tight that they don't have any backup plans for what I would assume are not wholly uncommon things, like maintenance and weather issues. And, as other people have pointed out, they were the tiniest seats I have ever seen. All I could think once we got on the plane was, "Thank God I'm not fatter or taller and thank God we weren't stuck on the plane itself!""
Cons: "I was very surprised that we had to pay $45 for a small carry on. That will prompt me to look elsewhere in the future."
Pros: "Seat was not comfortable. But plane was on time and crew members were polite."
Cons: "Improve seats."
Cons: "Didn’t let me in on the plane and plane wasn’t boarding yet they made me miss my flight"
Pros: "Crew was very nice."
Cons: "They really packed us in like sardines and did not enforce any mask-wearing."
Cons: "Too many people, some people are flying sick . I just wish someone would check their temperature"
Cons: "Constant meaningless delay’s."
Cons: "Boarding pass email didn't show barcode. Was able to "click here" and get to the web page with the barcode. Once I showed it to security, the link didn't work anymore. Had to get the boarding pass printed at the gate and missed boarding with Zone 1. Plane was FREEZING COLD. Luckily I had a pullover."
Cons: "Every thing"
Cons: "Hospitality, comfort, fees for everything"
Cons: "The check in staff. Had No sympathy that I had to leave my things because I was not charged the 1st time I went. But I. The way back u was getting charged I had the same bags as the 1st flight. Then 1 of my kids mask broke and I had no card mask should be giving out if a person is not weak g one. I am very unhappy with spirit"
Cons: "Luggage never came"
Pros: "The flight attendants were really nice, funny, and attentive. They were great."
Cons: "I think it is insane that the overweight charge is double. The baggage fees are insanely expensive and the seats are so close together on the plane you feel like you are sitting in each others lap. Considering how many passengers they have on the plane and how much money they make show how horrible the baggage fees are because clearly they are making profit. Also, you can't even get water without paying for it. Everything here costs, this is why I will continue to fly with Southwest and I will never fly with this airline again."
Pros: "NOTHING WAS GOOD ABOUT THIS FLIGHT!"
Cons: "I received notices of delayed departure of two hours but that same notice showed the arrived was delayed by over four hours. I called and talked to an agent and asked how my flight could have all of sudden gotten two hours longer and was told the delayed departure was correct and the arrive time was not. He said it was a mechanical issue and could change so I should still go to the airport an hour before my original departure time, which I did. When I arrived the flight was now delayed by more than four hours and I was told it was due to the crew being timed out so I had to sit there for five hours waiting to leave. I should be compensated for this error but cannot find out how to do that!"
Pros: "I was unaware that Spirit charges fees for carry on bags! Talk about hidden in the small print. $55 per bag. That’s a significant increase. I’ll never travel this airline again."
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "Flight departed early and landed almost 40 minutes early. Good service. Nice crew. I paid extra for the big First seat."
Cons: "Still no frills. No internet. No power for your computer. No reclining seats."
Cons: "Seats cannot be moved. "Trays" were the size of an I-phone. Very loud (drunk) passenger was annoying (not Spirit's fault) Screaming child out of control (not Spirit's fault)"
Pros: "Boarded the aircraft quickly and left on time."
Cons: "Airplane reeked of vomit and vinegar. Seats were dirty and you have to pay for water."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, have been sitting on the Tarmac for 30 minutes, no water is being provided. I'm 5'3" and my knees are pressed up against the seat in front of me. I would rather have paid the extra money to fly Soithwest."
Cons: "I didn't like that you are only allowed to take one personal item on them flight."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "From the moment I checked in the limit for bags was 40 I s not 50 I s. The bag price to check one normal was 50$ plus 30$ if it was under 50 not 40. The customer service could not have been more rude the flight was delayed 6 hours for “crew “ reasons. We were given only $7 to use and. Or bing eas openfor food. Awful experience never want to fly again."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines does not care AT ALL. I will never fly them again. No explanation of delay, which then led to a full cancellation, in which they then had us waiting in a line for 20 minutes until they (finally?) ejected us out of the security zone because they put our bags at baggage claim, so I wasn't able to buy a flight at a desk from another airlines right nearby because I had to go back through security so they messed up my timing entirely. I have also not received my refund for my baggage / seat extras and it's been a full week. Horrendous. If I could give them negative ratings I would."
Cons: "Flight was late by an hour. This then caused us to have to wait over 2 hours on the plane to be able to get off. US customs was backed up with flights that should have arrived after us. This caused us to miss our connection. The connection time for us was 3 hours and we still missed that flight. They then suggested that it was not their fault and that they would get us on the next flight on the next day at night. We decided to get our money back and bought a ticket with Southwest Airlines instead. They lack in taking responsibility for their mistakes. Their employees don't care and continue on as if nothing is wrong. Our whole flight missed each and every connection. we are all here with Southwest ready to fly out in a couple of hours."
Cons: "I didn't like anything. Will never book with Kayak or spirit. My flight from Chicago to Minneapolis was cancelled and I have still not got my refund. Pathetic!"
Cons: "Myself and fifteen year old daughter exited plane from Ft. Myers to grab a quick bite to eat and upon returning to same plane with printed boarding passes and assigned seats our boarding passes did not scan correctly. At this time there was about 30 or so people behind us to board as there was plenty of time. We were asked to step aside and a employee was trying to figure things out. In the meantime ALL people in line were allowed on plane even though several had problems but were quickly fixed! At last second we were told to board the plane and try to find two seats. Only one was left on flight and we were told they had to leave and sorry but we must exit plane! Worst I have ever been treated by an airline ever in all my years of travel! I did get some money compensation, rented a car and drove 13 hours to Chicago! Awful way to end a vacation!"
Pros: "Cheap flight"
Cons: "Overnight flight & Flight delayed by 1 hour."
Cons: "During a difficult weather situation, Spirit was absolutely useless and left us stranded for a week. With storms on the East Coast, Spirit cancelled flights two days in a row (as did all other airlines). However, with Spirit, the website was useless for rebooking ourselves, and there were so few representatives at the airport and to reach a rep on the phone that we waited several hours just to be able to rebook at the airport. In the end, Spirit could not get us on another flight out for 7 more days. Causing extreme additional expense to me and my travel partner. I will never risk flying Spirit again."
Pros: "The flight time was shorter than usual. (It is usually a 4 hour flight, actual flight time was 3.5 hours)."
Cons: "There was no leg room even if you are sitting all the way back in the seat, the seats don't recline, they charged for water, the aisles are so small that if you have any body part the tiniest bit out the crew will hit it hard without warning with their food cart, the plane was not particularly clean, and the flight from Chicago to Phoenix was still expensive ($300), and charged $30 for a carry on bag."
Cons: "it was late as always"
Cons: "No room no service horrible everything"
Pros: "It was fine"
Pros: "Arrived on time and they boarded well. You get what you pay for. Cheap flight and nickel and dimed on everything else."
Pros: "Friendly employees"
Cons: "Spirit canceled our flight and their only solution was refund or wait 3 days until they could get us home. Had to spend thousands to rebook to get us home the next day on another again. Never again."
Cons: "My 96 year old mother's Spirit 342 flight from Phoenix to Minneapolis on Feb 2, 2017 was delayed. Things happen and that's life. However, after hearing from my sister in Minneapolis her flight was delayed I attempted to call Spirit Airlines to get the rescheduled information. I tried many, many times and was not able to speak with a Spirit customer service agent. In fact, there was no option on the Spirit phone message to press a number to speak with an agent. I ended up calling the Phoenix Skyharbor Security who sent an employee over to Terminal 2, Gate 2 to look for my mother. She was not found after checking Gate 2 and several other gates. The scheduled 3:07pm departure was rescheduled to depart at 5:30pm which I found out around 7:00 pm Phoenix time. This was a frightening experience for our family given my mother's age of 96 years. Fortunately, my mother was OK. She stated she and everyone else stood in line at the Spirit counter for 1 1/2 hours waiting for departure information. There was an agent at the counter but he/she did not provide any departure information let alone the reason(s) for the delayed flight. It would have been helpful to everyone held up by the delay to have been given an honest reason for the delay. It seems reasonable that Spirit would at least offer a phone number to speak with an agent who could provide information. (The Spirit website indicated Flight 342 was rescheduled to the next morning (Feb 3) with a departure of 8:00 am. This incorrect information complicated the whole situation). We will never put my mother on another Spirit flight and will think very carefully about using Spirit Airlines again."
Pros: "I enjoyed the fact that the boarding process was simple and that the crew on the plane was nice."
Cons: "Getting charged $50 for my check bag was ridiculous especially since the spirit website was down for practically an entire day. The crew at the front desk who handled this was very rude. Additionally I requested that I have the aisle seat on both flights and whoever the brainchild who did seating placed me at the window seat on both of my flights. There was even an adequate amount of empty seats that I could have been placed in. Finally, why are the tray tables the size of my wrist? Granted I was trying to use it to lay down, but even if I was trying to use it for food and drink, or to put a laptop on, it would have been next to impossible."
Pros: "The boarding process went quick and smooth especially since we had 3 small children with us. The ticket prices are nice but with all the extra fees it's like highway robbery"
Cons: "The seats were much more confined than flight to phoenix, I asked if I could occupy empty seats behind me, I was told no by flight attendant, medical purposes, yet one of them occupied during flight. I was very uncomfortable and in physical pain afterwatd, I will pay more $$ next time for extra room in other airline. I was also charged twice for reserving carry on luggage. Paying extra to eliminate these factors will be worth it too me."
Pros: "not much - low fare i guess"
Cons: "uncomfortable seats.. extra fess for almost everything including water.. no legroom.. delays"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled due to the plane being stuck in another city due to weather. I've had this happen before with other airlines, and they were able to rebook me on another airline's flight, with no price difference. With Spirit, they only were able to refund my money or move me to another date, four days later, which would have caused me to miss the event I was supposed to attend over the weekend. I thought since I was flying solo, without my kids in tow, using a cut-rate airline would have worked out. I've had no problems with JetBlue or SW in the past. But I would stay away from using Spirit."
Pros: "NOTHING POSITIVE!"
Cons: "They chose to cancel the return flight within 2 hours of the scheduled departure and were not at all helpful trying to get anyone out on any other airlines (because they're next available flight to that destination was 4 days out...) Not to mention on the initial flight to my destination, they had everyone board the plane 40 minutes early and then told everyone they had to all evacuate the plane and delayed the flight for 4 hours for NO reason!!!!! I would highly recommend avoiding flying spirit airlines at all cost, what I thought was a decent deal ended costing me an extra $400 for my last minute one-way trip and adding many many hours to my time traveling......"
Pros: "When a plane arrives late the turn around time is amazing. Doesn't take them much time at all to get going again. Attendants and pilots were professional."
Cons: "Boarding is a mess. You may board by zones but it really doesn't seem to workout. About half the people respect the order about half do not. People cut in line when they haven't even been there waiting. Do something like Southwest and have us board by groupings. They are much smaller units and people get in their correct order. You guys can get portable ones. That would move you all up significantly in the boarding process. That is by far the worst of all categories. The ladies at the gate really can't police that, make it easy for those who are boarding by having a clear and organized process."
Cons: "The extreme restrictions on luggage are very hard to deal with, and during the flight there are constant announcements for drinks and snacks for sale. Considering the base rate for a flight is only a little less than other airlines, and if you decide to pay for a reasonably-sized suitcase it's actually more expensive than other airlines, it doesn't make a lot of sense to fly with Spirit. It also feels like they're doing you a favor for even letting you on the plane, rather than grateful for your business. The entire Spirit experience drives me up a wall."
Pros: "Overall the web site looks like it was successfully intended to be attractive and it contains all the needed info."
Cons: "*Promising to answer a question "within 48hrs" is NOT OK when it is about checking in. *We SHOULD NOT have to register in order to be able to check in. Why is more than conf # and name needed unless it is to be shared or sold? *The needed info is scattered in many places on the site eg bag size, weight, and prices. *I was charged the "at checkin" price when I used the add baggage link before starting to check in; b/c I was within 24hrs? Purposely didn't start to check in yet so I wouldn't get the higher price."
Pros: "Even though boarding was late, we arrived in Chicago on time."
Cons: "The baggage was so slow to arrive at pick up that we missed our connection bus and had to wait another 1 1/2 hours. It took 30 minutes from landing before the first luggage appeared on the belt!"
Cons: "The crew on my first flight were very accommodating and friendly, but on my second flight they were NOT so friendly and everyone around me was talking about how rude and unfriendly they were. This was my first time flying on Spirit and I asked for a pillow and the response I received from the Flight Attendant was "What!....we don't have pillows" Another reason I was unhappy was because on my connecting flight from Texas to Chicago we were delayed on the plane and NOBODY told us what the problem was and why we were not moving to the runway. After 42 minutes we were told "we are waiting for paperwork from Maintenance" that is it! Not how long they expect the wait to be or come around and offer us some drinks or snacks. The Flight Attendants DID NOT even walk the aisle....not even once! We finally took off after 75 minute delay. It was if we were on the plane alone...this is not how I would have handled the situation. I also obtained the Spirit credit card to rack up some miles, but not I am giving it a second thought!"
Pros: "Flight was safe."
Cons: "Luggage policy, no drink, last time I had a very rude boarding person from Spirit treat me the worst I have ever been treated from an airline."
Pros: "The price of the ticket"
Cons: "Was delayed almost 2 hrs and was already a redeye flight. Cramped seating and have to pay way too much at airport for a carry on."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly Arrived on time."
Cons: "Seats did not recline. It was a red eye flight. Plane was extremely hot! We had to wait over 30 minutes (once we arrived at baggage) for baggage to be unloaded at ORD."
Cons: "At least they didn't charge for carry on duffle bag."
Cons: "My flight was delayed longer than 2 hours. Spirit overall has cheap prices for flights, but everything else is horrible. The delay felt like forever. The flight itself seemed kind of rough. You still have to pay for your luggage. It's almost worth it to just pay for a more expensive flight so that you do not experience all these annoying problems."
Cons: "canceled the flight, NO options for another"
Cons: "Customer service in Phoenix"
