We of course liked the cost and convenience of the Pittsburgh location.

When we missed our flight out of Paris due to a long wait at passport control, WOW customer service would not work with us. We did not ask for refunds or even hotel reimbursement we simply asked to be booked on the next days flight to Pittsburgh and WOW refused making us purchase new tickets for over $1000.

Cheap flight sounds great...except it’s not actually cheap. Once you add on charges for baggage, seats, water on board, etc., it’s about the price of a standard ticket on a quality airline. (Plus they didn’t actually reserve the seats I paid $20 for, even though I have the receipt). Amenities on board are atrocious. No Wifi, no in flight entertainment (except an iPad you can pay $25 for that features 10 movies from 1992), no USB ports...you even have to pay for water!!! My flight was delayed twice in one week causing me to miss my connecting flights both to my destination and back home by 5 minutes. Because they are not a member of an airline alliance, my only options were to wait until the next day and stay in a shared hotel room or rebook on another airline for $600 which they couldn’t guarantee I would be reimbursed for. The general apathy shown by the staff and lack of communication is abhorrent. The least they could do is apologize and help direct me to somewhere I could find more information. They were positively clueless! Spend a little extra and book on a respectable airline that values their customers...and maybe you won’t be out $1200 (in addition to the cost of the “cheap” tickets) like I am!!

Crew members were courteous

Good evening, I’m not sure under which category our complaints should fall on your website so I will include them here. To summarize our complaint, we booked our tickets on Icelandair through Kayak (and Webjet) and upon arriving at the check-in counter on December 2, we were informed that the baggage fee for our flight would be $95 each! Understandably, we were shocked and very displeased. Nowhere in our confirmation emails or flight details was there anything about having to pay such a high rate for our luggage. The first employee we spoke to said that your airline has recently started charging such fees to compete with WOW Air and as I said to him, I would like to point out again that this is the very reason why I never choose to fly with WOW Air: they clearly state that there is a high baggage fee from the beginning of the registration process and I know of too many other airlines who don’t have such inflated fees. This ticketing agent and the manager said that the level of our ticket (apparently called Economy Light) indicated that we would be charged this baggage rate. It is now my understanding that on the Icelandair’s website, these levels are described but no such options were listed or explained on the Kayak website or any of our confirmation materials/emails. It is the responsibility of your site to post these important details in a conspicuous place so that travelers can make informed decisions. We could’ve flown with Air Portugal for a mere $50 more and saved not only over $200 each but also the inconvenience and frustration. Upon the check-in manager’s suggestion, I looked up our flight by the booking reservation number (LCWNEG) and again, the only “flight type” shown was called Economy, nothing more. The same is true for when we checked in online and reserved our seats - there was never an indication of the fees that were awaiting us. All this to say, we were incredibly upset to be surprised with an additional cost of $200/person (round trip ticket) but then, to add insult to injury, not only did we nearly miss our flight due to the length of time spent at the check-in desk, once we got on the plane and we realized we would not be served anything other than water or soda - since all food/meals must also be paid for in most Economy levels. This was our first experience with your airline/website and I highly doubt we will ever choose you in the future. I know now for a fact that other passengers who have booked through 3rd party sites have found themselves in similar bad situations. If you choose to work with airlines and offer lower rates, it is only honest and fair to make your policies clearly known to your potential customers. We felt mislead and deceived as these rates seemed hidden until it as too late. Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again.

From pre-boarding, to boarding, to the food, and the attentiveness, everything was top notch! The cleanliness of the plane was only topped by the friendliness of the crew.

The flight was marked at almost 11hrs but ended up being only 9...not a negative other than it meant not spending as much time on board!

On two of the legs of the trip they notice I was a tall person with long legs and upgraded me to seats with more leg room!! I didn't even ask. Thank you.

On the way back there were open seats with extra leg room and I asked the gate attendant if it was possible to switch my seat to one with more room and they said they only could if I paid extra.

The woman at the check in desk worked patiently with us until she found us an alternate route. We werare given food and hotel vouchers to get us through the night.

Our British Airways flight was downgraded to a smaller airplane and we were not informed of this until we were in an hour in to waiting in a very long line to check in at the airport. We were unable to check in online the night before but not told why, and then we were unable to check in at the electronic kiosk at the airport but also not told way. When we got into the very confused and long line at the check-in desk 2.5 hours before our scheduled departure, we waited for almost an hour before anybody told us what was going on. They then told us that the flight has been downgraded to a smaller airplane, and that the agents were individually looking into rerouting passengers as they came up to the desk. Yeah sure does that the flight would not leave until everything was resolved and that people who had purchased their flights earlier would have priority. We then waited another 1.5 hours before it was our turn to speak to an agent at the desk. She told us that we would definitely not be getting on the flight because we had not checked in in time, which we had been unable to do. She then worked on rerouting us and offered us what sounded like an excellent flight option direct to Amsterdam on KLM the following day, however when we went to KLM to check in for the flight they said it was overbooked and we could go standby but we would not be guaranteed seats. We went back to her again and she eventually booked us on a Delta flight through Salt Lake City leaving the following day. We are currently in Salt Lake awaiting our flight to Amsterdam. This gets us to Amsterdam 12 hours after planned, Shortening our vacation with friends and causing us to miss events that have been planned. We are very upset that there was no information provided to us earlier and that British Airways did not, as is customary, first seek volunteers to take later flights, before bumping people off due to a lack of seats on their available plane. Instead they gave priority to people that had paid more money to check in with priority. We booked our flights 3 1/2 months ahead of time and feel that we were grossly AND unnecessarily put out by the actions and lack of communication throughout the process with British Airways.

As opposed to Lufthansa, which is an example of a European carrier that cares about passenger comfort and experience. I'm 6 ft 2. Legspace was adequate, and no silly boxes under the seats like other airlines that obstruct your feet. Great entertainment systems - modern, good selection. Food and staff excellent.

Their online checkin systems could operate a bit more smoothly. At one point, I had to go in in person, because the online checkin site had an already past flight from their codeshare partner SAS showing up as the next flight, and I couldn't perform online checkin as a result.

First time traveling with WOW and it was okay. Price was decent, a little better than Spirit, but the same with paying additional for everything so it's not really saving. Overall, great flight the pilots did a great job getting me to my destination (there and back) safely and with time to spare.

For a 9 hour flight they should accommodate their passengers with free beverages at least. The seats were very uncomfortable. Flight attendance were polite but very hard to get a hold of, they talk too much among each other, like HELLO you're working get it together! My flight was delay returning back to my original destination and no communication was received until a staff member showed up almost 2 hours late.

I didn't like anything...not enough connecting time , the flights are consistently late making for 20 minute connections with passport control...with my 91 yr old mother running the airport...i will NEVER take this carrier again!!!

The seat was uncomfortable, the service was slow, both my flights (Newark to Reykjavik and Reykjavik to Heathrow) were delayed and the flight staff was incredibly poor about providing us updates not to mention any accuracy with the timing. Overall, my experience with Icelandic Air was so bad I will never fly with them again.

Crew members were courteous

Good evening, I’m not sure under which category our complaints should fall on your website so I will include them here. To summarize our complaint, we booked our tickets on Icelandair through Kayak (and Webjet) and upon arriving at the check-in counter on December 2, we were informed that the baggage fee for our flight would be $95 each! Understandably, we were shocked and very displeased. Nowhere in our confirmation emails or flight details was there anything about having to pay such a high rate for our luggage. The first employee we spoke to said that your airline has recently started charging such fees to compete with WOW Air and as I said to him, I would like to point out again that this is the very reason why I never choose to fly with WOW Air: they clearly state that there is a high baggage fee from the beginning of the registration process and I know of too many other airlines who don’t have such inflated fees. This ticketing agent and the manager said that the level of our ticket (apparently called Economy Light) indicated that we would be charged this baggage rate. It is now my understanding that on the Icelandair’s website, these levels are described but no such options were listed or explained on the Kayak website or any of our confirmation materials/emails. It is the responsibility of your site to post these important details in a conspicuous place so that travelers can make informed decisions. We could’ve flown with Air Portugal for a mere $50 more and saved not only over $200 each but also the inconvenience and frustration. Upon the check-in manager’s suggestion, I looked up our flight by the booking reservation number (LCWNEG) and again, the only “flight type” shown was called Economy, nothing more. The same is true for when we checked in online and reserved our seats - there was never an indication of the fees that were awaiting us. All this to say, we were incredibly upset to be surprised with an additional cost of $200/person (round trip ticket) but then, to add insult to injury, not only did we nearly miss our flight due to the length of time spent at the check-in desk, once we got on the plane and we realized we would not be served anything other than water or soda - since all food/meals must also be paid for in most Economy levels. This was our first experience with your airline/website and I highly doubt we will ever choose you in the future. I know now for a fact that other passengers who have booked through 3rd party sites have found themselves in similar bad situations. First time traveling with WOW and it was okay. Price was decent, a little better than Spirit, but the same with paying additional for everything so it's not really saving. Overall, great flight the pilots did a great job getting me to my destination (there and back) safely and with time to spare.

For a 9 hour flight they should accommodate their passengers with free beverages at least. The seats were very uncomfortable. Flight attendance were polite but very hard to get a hold of, they talk too much among each other, like HELLO you're working get it together! My flight was delay returning back to my original destination and no communication was received until a staff member showed up almost 2 hours late.

(Plus they didn’t actually reserve the seats I paid $20 for, even though I have the receipt). Amenities on board are atrocious. No Wifi, no in flight entertainment (except an iPad you can pay $25 for that features 10 movies from 1992), no USB ports...you even have to pay for water!!! My flight was delayed twice in one week causing me to miss my connecting flights both to my destination and back home by 5 minutes. Because they are not a member of an airline alliance, my only options were to wait until the next day and stay in a shared hotel room or rebook on another airline for $600 which they couldn’t guarantee I would be reimbursed for. The general apathy shown by the staff and lack of communication is abhorrent. The least they could do is apologize and help direct me to somewhere I could find more information. They were positively clueless! Spend a little extra and book on a respectable airline that values their customers...and maybe you won’t be out $1200 (in addition to the cost of the “cheap” tickets) like I am!!

Long wait for de-Icing. Got on and off the plane 3 times. First wait was 1 hour, but plane aborted takeoff. Second plane waited at gate with all aboard for 2-1/2 hours and never got slot and de-planed. Third plane waited 1-1/2 hours for de-Icing and finally we were headed home. Arrived 8.5 hours after schedule.

Literally nothing

The seat was uncomfortable, the service was slow, both my flights (Newark to Reykjavik and Reykjavik to Heathrow) were delayed and the flight staff was incredibly poor about providing us updates not to mention any accuracy with the timing. Overall, my experience with Icelandic Air was so bad I will never fly with them again.

We of course liked the cost and convenience of the Pittsburgh location.

When we missed our flight out of Paris due to a long wait at passport control, WOW customer service would not work with us. We did not ask for refunds or even hotel reimbursement we simply asked to be booked on the next days flight to Pittsburgh and WOW refused making us purchase new tickets for over $1000.

Flight was ok

The flight was actually run by turkish airlines, not philippine air as stated in my confirmation email, so we were sent to the wrong terminal. Nothing in the email said which terminal the flight would depart from or that it was actually turkish airlines. Very irresponsible and communication for customers should be much clearer. Luckily we were very early for the flight or it could have caused a serious problem.

I'm 6 ft 2. Legspace was adequate, and no silly boxes under the seats like other airlines that obstruct your feet. Great entertainment systems - modern, good selection. Food and staff excellent.

Their online checkin systems could operate a bit more smoothly. At one point, I had to go in in person, because the online checkin site had an already past flight from their codeshare partner SAS showing up as the next flight, and I couldn't perform online checkin as a result.

From pre-boarding, to boarding, to the food, and the attentiveness, everything was top notch! The cleanliness of the plane was only topped by the friendliness of the crew.

The flight was marked at almost 11hrs but ended up being only 9...not a negative other than it meant not spending as much time on board!

Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again.
