The Coachella festival venue is about 40 kilometres from the Palm Springs Airport, however there is no public transportation that connects the two, so travelling by car is the best option, whether via taxi, a rental car or a rideshare app. If you hope to rent a car, Coachella partners with car rental companies to provide special discounts for festival-goers, so be sure to look for these options. Taxis charge a $3 base rate (about C$ 4) and an additional $3.12 (approximately C$ 4.20) per mile, or per 1.61 kilometres. A rideshare option can cost between $40 and $50 (C$ 53 or C$ 67).
The Palm Springs Air Museum is a 7 minutes drive from Palm Springs Airport. It was considered by CNN Travel as the number one air museum in California. Tickets range from $10.50 (approximately C$ 14) for children 6-12 to $17.50 (C$ 23.26) for adults. The museum is open every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Palm Springs airport has several transportation options to the city centre. There are nine offices for car rental companies, seven inside the airport and two outside. The airport is also serviced by two taxi companies and ride-sharing services. On average, a taxi costs $10 (C$ 14) to the city centre and ride-sharing services cost about $7 (C$ 10) on average.
A team of Volunteer Airport Navigators can provide all relevant information about the airport and the city. Look for people wearing a yellow or a teal blue shirt with the word "Navigator" on the back, or stop by the information counter on your way to baggage claim. There are two Celebrity Bistro & Bar restaurants at Palm Springs International Airport, one full-service restaurant past the security checkpoint and one coffee shop serving lighter meals on the greeter’s side of the terminal. Other restaurant options include two Starbucks, one on the main terminal and one in the courtyard area after security, the Tap Room Bar near Gates 12-20, and the 12th Fairway Bar and Grill in the Bono Concourse area.

Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers arriving in New York State must complete the Traveler Health Form.
Travelers arriving in Massachusetts must complete the Massachusetts Health Form.

Passengers from Seattle said that the loading crew somehow dented the wall to the luggage area (?) and they had to inspect it before flying. When it finally got to SFO, we boarded the plane at first, and then had to deplane back into the airport because they had (over?)filled the wrong fuel tank. So they had to empty that tank and fill another I guess? Don't know if the tank they filled was on the other side of the dented luggage area. The announcements from the desk were puzzling, and tended to be every 10 minutes telling us to wait 10 minutes instead of giving a good estimate so we didn't need to stand at the gate the whole time. After about 50 more minutes we boarded again and the plane took off OK. But there needs to be serious improvement in communication between the crew on the ground (gas & luggage etc) and the pilot and the desk crew, and between all of them and their paying customers."

Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

This flight was changed twice, the first time I received an email notification telling me the new flight was an hour later. When I got my check-in email 24 hours before my trip was to begin I noticed the arrival time for my return flight had been changed again, this time arriving another hour later. I received no notice for this change. Other than a shuttle service, there are no late night public transit options from the Victoria airport into town--a 25 minute drive. I was left with 10 minutes between the late arrival of my flight to claim my bags, clear customs and try to make the last shuttle. I specifically purchased my ticket so I would have plenty of time to make this connection. I missed it and wound up having to take a $60 (not including tip) taxi to get into town. Changing my itinerary to arrive 2 hours later without notifying me is unacceptable. I've never had any pot-purchase itinerary changes happen to me on Alaska Airlines, which also has regular service between Seattle and Victoria. I'm inclined to make sure I always use them from now on."

When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Cons: "I checked in online and had my seats reserved and I only had one piece of luggage to check in. In LAX, as long as I checked in for the flight on time, all I had to do in LA was go to a kiosk and check my luggage myself and give it to the people who work at the counter. The whole process took 5 minutes. However, even though I was checked in For my flight, in LHR, I was told that I still had to wait in the long line for those who needed their boarding passes among checking in tons of luggage. I was given a paper ticket lthough i already had one in my iPhone apple wallet. Besides waiting, for what I thought was a waste since I only had to check in luggage, the gates seemed so far away and the scheduling boards don't indicate right away as to what gate I need to go to. Luckily, my app told me what gate and I was hoping it was correct because I had to walk so far. Basically my gripes were with the airport and not with the flight itself. One thing bout the plane from London to lax, it seems the bigger the plane, the less legroom I had. I felt too close to the people next to me. The plane from Paris had more room."
