Lost my luggage for 4 days.

The crew including the pilot never informed us as to what was going. Terrible communication. Also, in regard to myself, I was sitting in an Exit Row and the flight attendant came over to ask unless individually if we were willing and able to handle our responsibilities. Before each of us was ready to answer he said OK, turned around and left. What would have happened if we had a problem and someone in the Exit Rows had a concern?"

He didn't even write it down even thought he had a pen in his hand. Apparently, at customers, we are not suppose to get this information and it's a burden on the employees to give it. Again the flight was late and while I know it was due to weather, we were seated in the plane and sat at the gate for more than an hour. Apparently, we were not cleared to be given an update. Once again, the speakers at the seat didn't work. Apparently, this is a constant problem with JetBlue"

Cons: "A woman was boarding the plane with two babies and clearly struggling to get to the back of the plane. When she could not handle it anymore she asked one of the flight attendants to help her. She was refused assistance by her. Then the flight attendant came to the front of the plane laughing uncontrollably say, "OMG, did you see her having a meltdown...she was asking me to help." She proceeded to laugh for the next 20 minutes repeating that the woman was helpless. I was disgusted by the flight attendant's behavior and attitude."

Departed 25 min late with no explanation. Arrival time was very off due to late departure but would have appreciated a better estimate.

I liked the timeliness of the departure and arrival, and the crew were good. The turbulence was rough, though.

The whole experience was great. Boarding is so orderly. The staff is super helpful. The wifi works great the whole flight so I was able to text for the entire flight. The best part was that it was orderly even when we were exiting the flight.

The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."
Cons: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

Cons: "The flight was scheduled for 7:45 pm. Due to the storm the day before, my flight out of Miami was cancelled and I was told that the flight out of W Palm Beach was my only option. I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Cons: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Were the aircrafts not designed to accommodate a full flight's worth of luggage? anf then when I went to go to my seat, the air stewardess told me to progress down the aisle so someone that they knew could pass through, causing a delay in me getting to my seat as well as losing my overhead luggage space as someone else passing utilized it instead. Now I am in my seat with both my carry on and personal item stowed below. So was I comfortable ? No. Was I upset and annoyed, on top of being tired? Yes. They need a better system."

Cons: "There were many empty seats, and when I moved from a cramped seat to a fully open row, the attendant rudely and humiliatingly admonished me for moving to a comfort+ from my "preferred" seat. It was unprofessional and extremely uncalled for. The seats were completely empty and there was no reason for him to admonish me loudly and rudely. I suffer from severe general anxiety disorder, fur which I take appropriate medications, but this incident caused an anxiety attack that lasted through the rest of the flight. Extremely disturbing that crew would behave so rudely and insensitively to anyone."

The airport delayed sending our COVID test results. We were told it would be a 40 min process but it took over an hour. We got the results 5 mins after the gate closed and they refused to help us make our flight. We had to sleep in the airport floor overnight because they said the only thing they could do was put us on the next flight at 9:35am the next morning - they said that the ere was no way to switch us to another flight that night because we booked on kayak and not directly through the airline. The staffs attitudes were cold and unfeeling and a different staff member that was present but not directly trying to help us in any way was openly rude and vindictive.

USB power was provided. Arrival into JFK was terrible. BA’s T7 is so crowded and dated I could literally touch the ceilings above my head while waiting 2 hours for immigration crammed into desolate conditions."

I am sure they did it in Italian but not every travel speaks italian. getting on bus to airplane was not organized at all. staff let people ahead of me taking their carry on bags larger than my normal size bag but asked me to check in mine. i thought perhaps i am amoung the last and there is no room left. how ever while i was waiting they let many others take their carry on with them. i explained them that i have expensive Murrano glass in my carry on and prefer not to check in or at least provide a tag to mark it fragile. response was that we are out of tag! and i have no choioce. i was very upset theway they trreated me and told them i will file a complain and took their picture. almost by the time i was getting on bus one of crew approached me with at Fragile tag to add to my bag. after all when i received my carry on bag in LAX many of my gifts were smashed and broken."

After we landed the plane came to a sudden stop and the Captain told us the lights to guide us to the appropriate place were not working this was a long delay. When we got to the disembarking area we had another long wait and the reason was due to the bridge not working,eventually we went out the back of the plane. The most unbelievable problem was the announcement just before take off that both rear toilets were out of action,since the flight was late this was an issue and I do not believe that both toilets could be broken more likely that there was no person available to clean them."

Overall, quite a poor experience which would make me hesitate to fly BA again given a choice of comparable airlines."

Pros: "I had purchased an upgrade to economy plus --- it was great--- much more expensive than I had thought, but I was tired and wanted to try to rest. There I was greeted with champagne, a warm wash cloth and fabulous service by the two male crew members!!! Truly the best! I am almost 70 and I wear hearing aids--- one helped me with my chair and answered my questions .... I felt VERY taken care of/- I was just one row after the business class with the wall ahead on right side of plane, nice leg room and a nice seat mate I am happy for the chance to respond as I was happy I had decided for the upgrade------------even though I had purchased an upgrade for my flight over to Barcelona only to find out on the day of check in that my flight was cancelled----- but that is when I called British Air and a lovely representative named Beth Duncan spent over 2 hours on the phone with me---- finally getting me on Iberia in order to get to my family reunion------ So....... on two occasions during this trip to my sister's house British Air was just wonderful and I thank you very much------- at the end of our flight one of the men made arrangements for me to get to go upstairs and look at the upper deck as I had never done that before------- as as retired teacher that was fun to see Thank you so much!!!"

BWI-MIA flight was delayed due to air traffic clearance from the thunderstorm and almost missed my connection MIA-MAD by few minutes. No games, must be in World Travellers Plus. With four classes on a flight, economy or World Traveller just feels neglected. No wifi. Maybe this is just the service for LHR-IAH."

We were then directed to go directly to the gate. We had no chance to shop or dine at the supposedly beautiful Heathrow. Instead, we were given a tour of the facilities' bowels."

Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Cons: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Cons: "After madly rushing to get to the gate, we found out 5 minutes before scheduled boarding time that there would be a 15 minute delay in boarding. After that, we were told there would be another 30 minute delay. Once we were on board and the cabin doors were closed we were told there would be another 55 minute delay. Also, LGA is such a mess these days due to construction and would have been nice to get an email notification beforehand about it. We barely made our outgoing flight!"
Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Cons: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Cons: "The flight attendant was unfriendly at boarding. He did not say or play any pre-flight safety announcements. We were told the flight might have to refuel in Richmond due to major weather delays in LGA. When we were landing they said they expected a refuel and a quick turnaround in Richmond. On the plane after landing, I learned via my phone's internet the flight was cancelled. They never announced it on the plane. At the final moment before we disembarked, the crew told us to be sure to take our belongings. When we landed, Flightaware showed delays of 45 minutes at LGA. AA never took responsibility for the problem though the gate crew mentioned they canceled the flight because the crew was going to be over their maximum hours. AA really couldn't plan to allow for up to an hour delay? I feel disrespected and even deceived. Although it was clear that flight attendant really needed to get off that plane. At the gate, we were told there were no available flights to NYC and were stranded overnight in Richmond. AA did offer a hotel pretending it was a courtesy since they claimed the problem was weather related and not theirs. We chose to stay with relatives and were told AA could only provide transportation from the airport which we did not need. We often have problems and cancellations on this route from when it was branded a US Air route to the present, but this was egregious."

What i couldn't understand was why we had to be in the plane for the refueling. It makes more sense to wait in the airport at the gate rather in a tight confined place. I'm overall pissed at the situation. Not to mention my seat was defective and although the seat was up, it would push back the moment you put weight. The flight attendant kept on asking me to place my seat in the upright position (which wasn't possible). To get her off my back, i held my back up with my own weight. I'm disappointed with aircanada."

Cons: "I was simply trying to relieve myself using the restroom in the back. I had held it in the entire time during take off but I desperately needed to go. The seatbelt sign stayed on for an eternity so I decided to get up to go when I felt it might be ok. Another gentleman also did so, he didn't get yelled at but I got an earful from the flight attendant and she assumed I didn't speak English because I couldn't respond while trying to hold my nladder."

Cons: "Some of it was air canada, some of it was weather and some of it was the montreal airport. scheduled for 6:00 rescheduled 7:00 rescheduled 8:00 boarded 8:30 took off 10:00 1. air caanda - boarded the plane, then came on with announcement that we would be sitting on tarmac for an 1.5 hours. We were delayed for hour and half already, why load us and make us sit in a warm aircraft. Air Canada offered us 10.00 vouchers for dinner... problem was they did it so late nothing was open. It should have been done earlier. 2. weather - caused the initial problem in NYC, no fault of air canada. 3. Montreal airport - Our gates were switched 3 times during the delays. Which happens, however the gate changes started at one end of the airport, moved to the other end of the airport and back to the original end."
Pros: "I brace myself every time I fly Air Canada. Things often go wrong or are frustrating in some way. So I prepare myself mentally. Although there was a takeoff delay and the boarding procedure was confusing, this flight went fairly smoothly, compared to other fiascos I have had with Air Canada."
Cons: "Air Canada has an opportunity to be excellent and they keep hanging on to mediocrity. I think it is either a corporate culture that does not see things from the customer perspective, or a morale problem that shows up as ground staff who do not want to be there. Also, Terminal 1 is a hassle. You check in at the kiosk, only to have to line up for 30 min. to drop your bag off. If I could, I would only fly WestJet."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed six hours and fifteen minutes, and the entire six hours and fifteen minutes was filled with poor communication. No one could tell us what was going on. There was rarely even an Air Canada representative at our gate's desk area. We were given nothing to remotely compensate for our very long delay aside from a few thanks and a puny bag of pretzels."

Pros: "My 55 min flight ended up taking nearly 3 hours since there were about 9 people that needed to gate check their bags. Air Canada needs to figure a better way to gauge the carryon situation. People had giant bags that just couldn't fit in the overhead. Also- there were far too many people with carry one. I paid to check my bag... then got stuck with my backpack under my feet and jacket in my lap for 2.5 hours as we sat on the runway."

During this time, pilot and flight attendants shared minimal information with passengers. - At one point, I asked a flight attendant for water because I had a migraine and wanted to take some Advil. He told me he couldn't right now because the pilot wanted everyone in their seats, but he would get it for me as soon as possible. When I followed up 45 minutes later, the same flight attendant apologized and said that it was because he didn't want everyone asking for waters. We were stuck on that plane for over two hours, and you can't get people water? - Gate check was not available, meaning that I had to check my carry-on when there was no more space available (my bag met the carry-on size requirements)."

Cons: "I didn't like that the security/passport control was the slowest of any airport I have ever been in! We almost missed our flight because security was looking through (literally) every single bag and then the passport control only had 2 people for each visa/passport holders. Then, after running to catch our flight, the flight was delayed an hour AFTER they had already let everyone board the plane. People were telling them they had alerts on their phone, while boarding, yet still let everyone board. Overall, bad experience."

Cons: "Flew 2/3 of way to NYC & retrurned to Montreal due to weather. Sat in plane at gate for 2+ hours before flight cancelled: weather + crew had reached time limit. Very little help in re-booking flight for next day: had to do it on your own online. No help re finding hotel for the night."

Cons: "Boarding was slow and chaotic because of the number of passengers bringing oversize carry-on bags, presumably to try to avoid the checked-bag fee. The overhead bins filled up early, and passengers squabbled over the available space and objected when flight attendants told them they would have to gate-check their bags. The aisle was congested and blocked for long periods of time as people tried to fit their bags into the bin, and the plane left the gate more than 15 minutes late because of the slow boarding. There were about 100 people on the flight, but only about 20 at baggage claim (including at least two family groups), another indication that the checked-bag fee caused passengers to bring oversize carry-on bags. The overall rating for this flight would be significantly higher if it weren't for the boarding process."

Cons: "Last time I traveled to Canada I probably used a passport. BUT I never knew that I needed it I thought u could travel with my drivers lisence. Remind travelers to take their passport"

Pros: "Since we arrived at the airport very early we asked about whether we could change to an earlier flight. The agent was extremely accommodating and confirmed us on an earlier flight with no additional charge. Bravo Air Canada!"

Cons: "Initial plane had mechanical problem before we boarded, so we were delayed and sent to a different gate. Delays became incrementally longer, announcements were not as quick as they should have been -- e.g. I learned of the gate change from another passenger rather than the crew at the gate. Then, the flight we did catch was delayed in the air due to congestion at LaGuardia. AC was too cold for me. Admittedly some of these problems were well outside Air Canada's control, but the communication weaknesses were their fault."

Cons: "Not the airline's fault but our flight got cancelled once we were already in the take off track due to bad weather in NYC (heavy rain!!!???) Having gone through US customs and the long way of security and check in and all. We were carrying 7 big bags as we were moving into the US and handling those many bags was a nightmare, we had to do it two days in a row!!! I lost a night booked in a hotel in NYC as I didn't know if we were getting a later flight until just too late to cancel. Very confusing to get to the right place to rebook, even Air Canada employees seemed confused. Rebooking agent took ages. We had paid for preference seats and finally we got terrible last row seats in the rebooked flight. We haven't been refunded since!! Delays and more delays on the rebooked flight again."

Cons: "A 12 hour delay is not okay. The hotel comp was nice but they split my group of 5 into different hotels. The breakfast voucher did not work. The dinner voucher barely covered the cost at the designated restaurant. Customer service was extremely unaccomadating."
