Cons: "I could see on the Fly Delta app that I had been placed in seat 10B, but neither the app nor my boarding pass gave me a group to board with, so I assumed that I needed to board with group 3, which necessitated gate-checking my rollerboard bag. Only when I approached the gate to board did I notice on the info screen that I had been "upgraded" to Comfort + and granted boarding with the Sky Priority group. I wish this had been clearer so I could have avoided waiting to board and gate-checking my bag. Minor inconvenience but room for improvement on Delta's part."

Love Delta, I did not flight United because I wouldn’t have met my United flight once landing in ATL. The Young African American woman who was at the gate was amazing and so reassuring that I would make my flight to Chicago. Would book Delta, just because of how nice she was to me."

Pros: "The Delta people were solicitous, efficient and brilliant the whole way through. We had not a bit of trouble. Our first class seats were comfortable, but with the supplied blanket, pillow and poor air conditioning it was a hot flight. The cabin personnel were wonderful as per usual, and my tasty gin and tonic soothed any discontent. I wish I could fly this way all the time!"
Cons: "The private contractor handling wheelchair assistance was terrible. A Delta employee theorized that they do not pay enough to attract and retain personnel. Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."

Cons: "They board the front of the plane first, meaning the aisles get clogged up slowing down the process. Also, staff kept insisting pre boarding that more people needed to check their bags because there wasn't enough overhead bin space, but there were plenty of bins not full by take off."

Pros: "Accident on way to airport, so I showed up to check bags 45 minutes before flight time. They said they couldn't get the bag to the plane..in 45 minutes? So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."

Cons: "We booked with Delta, but were put on Air France. Even though we had our boarding passes in hand we had to wait in long, slow line for baggage tags because they would not print from kiosk. There was minimal Air France staff on duty serving thousands of passengers during busy season (July). While the lines grew larger, the staff was reduced from 4 to 2. Another long, slow line for customs, another long slow line for security=Charles De Gaulle airport was awful. We arrived at the airport 4 hours before our departure time and got to our boarding gate with no time to spare."

Cons: "Delayed for over 2 hours. I have never flown Delta before this flight and it wasn't a great representation. The flight attendants were nice but I was in a seat near the engine and it was making really weird noises. I fly almost every two weeks, so I'm used to engine noises but this was one of the loudest/most rickety sounding flights I have ever been on.. and I have flown Spirit a few times. It just didn't feel safe. Landing scared me a little too as I have landed in O'Hare countless times and have never flown so low to the highway upon entry. It felt like we were only a couple hundred feet above the cars."

You would think it was 1968 or something! Unacceptable in this day and age of communication! The wedding is in 48 hours and can’t find our bags? All this was explained to the airline in Rome the baggage handlers etc. etc. still nothing. Absolutely amazing and disappointing!"

We had not been contacted and we missed our daughter’s professional basketball game in France. This was the reason we bought the tickets from Kayak to begin with. The cancellations were happening with British Airlines and they were not working with American Airlines to help us out to get to the game on time."

Cons: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Pros: "There was nothing too bad other than I wasn't able to check in online bc our first leg of the flight was operated by American Airlines. But there wasn't anything that really stood out that would make me want to fly them again other than it was the best price."

Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."

Changed to a UA plane but after seated in the UA plane 1 hour, the plane needed to be maintenanced. Had been changed to another UA plane. After three times into three planes, arrived Chicago at 3:30am without the checked baggage."

I had to exit use the external train (which was delayed) and go through the very slow Terminal 5 security. Almost missed my ORD-LHR flight (arrived at the gate after the official closing time)"

Two hour delay on the way out. 45 minute delay on the way home while they located another plane (mechanical problems) made my connection impossible. They did get me on a plane to Newark, which was also delayed. I made the connection by the skin of my teeth and a lot of anguish. My luggage did not. All in all, a very unpleasant travel day."

We also were sitting for a long time and it was very uncomfortable while waiting to take off. We didn't get any beverages after sitting for a long time and finally did once we were in the air which was 2 hours later."

Cons: "Boarding by zones causes passengers to have to stand longer while waiting to board, inconveniences them by having passengers seated in window and middle seats often arrive after the passenger in the aisle seat, and slows down the entire process because passengers settling into the front part of the plane frequently board and stow luggage while those seated in the back queue up behind them. Compared to boarding by row, the entire process is now one lengthy mess."

Cons: "showed up for a 5:20am flight and was told at check-in it was now 7:30... Nobody could have told me that before I woke up early, got a cab early and showed up to the airport early?!"

Cons: "The economy seats were so squished and everything from movies to food (other than Chex mix) is an additional fee. I'm a small person and still felt like the personal space and leg room was way smaller than it should be. I had to pay $8 to watch cable bc otherwise you just have to look at a screen with ads on it the whole flight. I used to love united. Now I feel like it just sneaks in extra charges like all of the cheap airlines. Not going out of my way to look for united anymore."

Have a 12 hour day of surgery followed by appointments. Thank you United. Your airline is a joke and I'm ditching your stupid mileage credit card. I'd rather purchase magazines with my miles than fly with you ever again."

They re-booked my flight for the next morning so I missed my first evening of my trip. On the way home my flight was delayed 5 hours, turning my travel day into a 10 hour travel day... I will not be flying with united again."

Cons: "Old huge plane. Sat in back. Awful. Didnt move for what seemed like half an hour or more before we even started moving toward runway. Then did the same thing once we landed. Chlosterphobic and awful."

Pros: "All crew members were extremely friendly from boarding to being on the flight, even the captain. When there was a small delay from so control flight attendants had provided great resources for people with connecting flights (they even offered their own phones with the United app to look up connecting flight information). The little waffle treats that were handed out for free were delicious and a nice break from the pretzels other airlines usually pass out."
Cons: "The space between my seat and the seat in front was very small and I'm not a big person. My seat wouldn't even recline during the flight to give me just a few extra inches."

The agents sent us to customer service 12 gates away but they didn't know what was going on so they sent us to another customer service desk 21 gates away. Cathy of United finally called the gate(or plane) and found out that the problem was almost fixed...a hour later."

Cons: "No gate agent support, people seated haphazardly in wrong seats and given no direction. Long delay once boarded, just sitting on ground. Turbulence the entire flight with almost no opportunity to use bathrooms or receive any service. This after rushing to gate and no chance to use bathroom."

Pros: "I know it's some sort of miracle. But there was only 40 people on an airbus. We all had about 3 seats each and we made full beds for ourselves."

Incredibly inconvenient for passengers towards front especially when they have their snack/drink cart out which no one wants anything from anyway because it all costs money. Get that out of the way! One attendant was rude to my wife and son when they were trying to get to the rear bathrooms. Crew did not know which baggage claim our bags would be at. Won't make the mistake of flying Frontier again because it's cheaper (rude service, delayed flights, no refreshments = cheaper). I recommend other travelers splurge for any other airline (maybe not United)"

Pros: "When I was checking in online, I panicked initially about the extra costs for picking a seat and your luggage. Then my boyfriend showed me you can just evade it by clicking "next." Frontier allows you to carry on a "personal bag" for free and I was surprisingly able to bring a relatively big suitcase on board with no problems or questions asked. Also, checking in on website makes it seem like you'll be split up into random seats if you don't buy a seat but the boarding passes we printed at the airport were good seats next to each other. It's too bad that you have to pay for drinks, but I was able to get a cup of water for free and I understand that on cheap flights like this you can't expect to have free sodas."

Cons: "It all started when I asked this flight attendant if he could remove this piece of gum from the seat back in front of me. He snapped at me and told me he was busy and he would do something about it once we were airborne. He then proceeded to laugh and yuk it up with another flight attendant for 5 minutes. So I rang the call button again thinking maybe another flight attendant might come check on me nope same guy. He walked up to me like it was our first interaction and said "is there something I can help you with?" I politely asked him again to remove the piece of gum from the seat. That's when it got crazy he started yelling at me saying if I wanted he would get the gate attendant and have me taken off the plane!! That's when another passenger got up and told the flight attendant to do his job and that he was acting way out of line. He huffed off and still refused to remove the disgusting and very unsanitary piece of gum from the seat back. By this time another flight attendant came running from the back of the plan asking what was wrong? When I told her she was overly apologetic and took care of it immediately. That flight attendant should be fired as he is dangerous and his attitude towards paying customers was disgusting!! Well the last thing I will say is now I know why I fly southwest."

Cons: "I arrived at the airport 2 and 1/2 hours early for my flight... When I get there the line to just check a bag is swirling around the airport. I was disappointed I'd have to wait in said line but I went to the end to start the process of getting it done. About 30 mins into this line one of your employees starts calling off flights ones I'm assuming wee leaving soon so those people got to cut to the front of the line. A respectable thing but also very frustrating for the people actually waiting in line because it stopped movement completely. After they get those people out the line starts moving again but the one person controlling the line leaves and the people in the back feel untitled to bumrush forward and open up one of the crowd control polls and get to the front at which point everyone else is stuck to wait for the back of the line to go first. No one stopped them just let them go right ahead and make me wait. So at this point I've been at the airport for about an 1 hour and 15 mins. Not even through the line. As I approach the front finally an employee comes out and closes the crowd control line that made it possible for everyone to cut when I pointed that out they gave me excuses and were very rude. My flight was boarding in the next 45 mins and closing gates in the next hour or so. Next they start calling flights again ones that need to get through because they won't make their flight if they won't. My flight home is one of those. I'm at the front of the line so I figured I'd just be allowed to check my bag and get going but instead she lets people that I watched walk in less then 15 minutes ago go in front of me. I was furious I had been waiting 1 and 1/2 hours and people who showed up 15 mins ago are probably going to make MY flight while I wont.. I point this out to the lady and she says I'm just trying to get everyone to their flights and I do appreciate that but they were going about it all wrong. I finally checked my bag with probably 40 mins to spare before doors open to board and 1 hour before doors close. I turn the corner to look at security and feel defeat because I know there's no way I'll realistically make it through I turn around to talk to a supervisor about what she can do.. Get me on another flight? At least tell me they will work on their tactics of the bag check line. But instead the supervisor tells me that I have to try to get through security and that its my problem and they will deal with me at the gate if I don't make it. I hurry into line at security and we are not moving. All of a sudden the security line starts picking up because they brought the dogs out. I get through security with about 3 mins to spare I start running I get to my gate on the dot of gate close and the only reason I made it is because of delays due to maintenance which I had asked to reseive updates on my flight that wasn't given to me."

The seats are tight and uncomfortable with not much leg room. My family members are all tall and the seats are not designed to lean back or adjust in any way to our bodies. This airline does not nickel and dime you to death they go for $13 to $45 dollars for everything. Sneaky way to expand the cost of the flight."

Cons: "Frontier looks inexpensive but they charge for everything. When the flight was delayed by 2 hours, I got notification that the original time was back in place. I had to race through the snow to get to my flight only to find that it was delayed and then cancelled at 2 am. Not one Frontier representative was honest with us about any updates. I was delayed for 2 days without my luggage. I understand delays but Frontier knew we didn't have a plane coming for us so they should have sent us home instead of making us wait at the airport. I will never ever fly Frontier again."

Cons: "My flight was delayed 7 hours. I never recieved an e-mail letting me know of this even though I gave my email when I bought the tickets so that I would get updates on the flight. I checked the flight status before leaving my house at 2am and the flight was still on time. After driving 2 hours to the airport and going through security I found out that my flight was being delayed 7 hours and no representative was even at the gate to speak with. All I was given was one $14 meal voucher which didn’t even cover a full meal at the airport. It’s told that the issue was mechanical but I later found out that te first flight had been over booked and the 1pm flight didn’t have enough people on it so they made everyone on at 6am flight wait until 1pm to fly out. Once on the plane, the seats were hard and uncomfortable and the plane was cold. I am extremely disasiflied and will never use Spirit again."

Cons: "I booked one ticket from Denver to Baltimore, but found out I would be charged twice ($80 in total) for checking one bag. While i did have a layover in Chicago and this indeed was only one trip, Spirit denied this and said that since I had a layover, they were two separate tickets. This is unacceptable. My ticket said Chicago was a layover. It is absurd to be charged twice for baggage on one single trip. Last time I fly Spirit!!!"

Cons: "There was a presentation made to all passengers midflight trying to get everyone to sign up for a credit card in return for a "free" flight on the airline, presented as a gift. As a captive audience member, I found this very unprofessional, especially since the airline first proclaimed that all passengers could have a free flight then appended their statement with "as long as you sign up for a Spirit credit line." I also don't like the $10 charge for a printed boarding pass at the airport from Spirit; I understand the concept of modularizing costs, but there is no way the act of printing a pass for a passenger costs the airline remotely close to $10. It is a clear attempt to capitalize on a customer's forgetfullness."

I arrive 13 minutes before my flight takes off and the door closes 15 minutes, so be prepared. Especially since it's the representatives and broken kiosk that make you run late. Now, since there is one Spirit plane I have to wait an additional 24 hours to head back to Chicago. I've now been here 48 hours past my stay. Save yourself the headache. Don't do it. I don't foresee this company staying in business very long. It's my own fault. I didn't listen to my friends. You get what you pay for."

Cons: "I flew a different airline out to Colorado and my baggage cost me nothing because I had a backpack and normal sized roll-aboard bag. Flying with Spirit I had the choice of paying $55 to take the roll-aboard with me on board or checking it for $50. That is double the checking price of any other airline I have flown with. Then I get on board the plane and the seats are so close together that I can't move. I am not over-weight, but I am tall and it was so uncomfortable. And I wasn't the only one because the person behind me kept bumping my seat trying to get more comfortable and the person in front of me kept jumping back in their seat trying to get more comfortable. And, to not even get water for free? These tickets weren't that cheap."

Cons: "The airline as a whole should be ashamed of themselves. Worst customer service we have ever come across. We will never fly Spirit or recommend Spirit to friends, family, co-workers and worst enemy. Pay the extra and use any other airline."

Pros: "Extras were so expensive that this cost more than Frontier, United, or American."
Cons: "Beware! No one will tell you about the baggage fees ($40 checked, $45 carry-on) until you check-in! Also, they will not give you any receipt for your purchases!"
