Cons: "EVERYTHING!! Packed like sardines with ZERO distancing for a four hour flight. Flight attendants were horrible and did nothing to mandate mask wearing. Literally watched a guy sleep nearly the entire flight with his mask off and the FA walked by him multiple times without saying anything. Will never fly with American after their abysmal attempt to keep us safe. I did not feel safe for a second on that horrendous flight. Definitely getting a COVID test and I will know where I got it from if I test positive. Also the seats are uncomfortable and it was a very bumpy flight (I understand that part cannot be avoided). I don’t understand how you cancel flights and bump people to other flights only for them to be SUPER packed. I thought at the rate of cases rising airlines should be doing a better job at taking safety precautions. Not American. Why do they think it’s a safe idea at this time to have my wife and I packed in with a total stranger for four hours? No social distancing whatsoever! Overall I cannot say a single good thing about this flight. Worst in my entire life"

Cons: "The connection in Miami didn’t happen - the flights crew on the ORLANDO yo to Miami flight were rude and unhelpful - the plane sat in the tarmac waiting for a gate so flight arrived 15 minutes before planned departure - we inquired as to whether the plane would be held - response- despite having internet access was “ I don’t know “ you’ll have to check with gate agent - oh and by the way the flight attendant was virtually laying on the front seats - she as grossly obese and was so large as he walked the aisles she would hit passengers every time she turned around - we ran to the gate arriving 8 minutes before departure - gate was shut two gate agents were reading social media posts on their phones - we inquired about the flight - the gate agent said “ you missed the flight “ and then sat down and continued on her phone - the other one at least looked up and told us where to them go for assistance - eventually we were assisted and offferd 1 to wait u til the next day to go or to go through London - we took the London option. 1. I was informed by anAA employee they the connection is frequently missed due to similar problems. 2. Flight attendants and gate agents will bankrupt the airline with their horrible attitude. - they should be fired."

I asked for wheelchair and help claiming my luggage due to health problem but when I asked at the airplan gate if some body will help me the answer was wait over there with a rude way and ended by walking to the passport area and claiming my bags by my self, my bags was not there and I was going back and forth to follow directions been given to find my luggage. I was very exhausted and tired and asked people around me for help."
Cons: "There was no help at all especially from the British airway. Unlikely there was very rude answer by telling me if you need help you can hire somebody to help you at claiming bags area. This answer was not expected at all and I was very disoppointed as I made a request to have a wheelchair from London. This request was ignored in London. I was very tired and placed my self to a risk of injury because I hade recent surgery to my right shoulder. As a British air way and this was my first experience I will think carefully next time to use this service again. One of my luggage was damaged and this bag was new and this was my first time to use it they told me at customer service this just a scratch and there is no liability for this kind of damage. hopefully some body can investigate this and do something"

Cons: "The multiple delays. I purposely picked the earliest flight that would fit our schedule and even pay slightly more per ticket to do so. I’m traveling with 4 kids ages 8-1 and I know by experience that late nights don’t mix well with kids. We were supposed to arrive at 8:50, instead we arrived just before midnight. Can u say cranky kids? Sigh. We may not travel with kids for awhile to recover."

I’ll be watching you” for simple mistakes made before door of plane closed. Tried to talk elderly woman out of tea because she was lazy and didn’t bring hot water on her cart. Eventually brought it but why try to talk her out of it. Heavy set dark brown tall Attendant on flight 5874 Mesa Airlines. Lost my luggage. More and more friends, family & 1 flight expert says AA gets more complaints. Will try booking with another airline carrier in future unless absolute emergency to take AA. Worth $40.00 or more extra to get friendly service."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

Cons: "This particular plane was not worth the up charge for seats. The head phone jacks did not work in our entire row & nobody cared, so we were not able to watch the monitor or any entertainment. Seats that didn’t have to pay extra we’re working. They skipped our row when offering drinks & snacks, when my seat mate asked for some of the biscotti the attendant questioned her asking if she was sure she hadn’t already already had one. Final small thing was the latch on the try table was not working correctly. In a nut shell, not worth the extra money that was paid."
Cons: "the drink service came through pretty late in the flight. i asked for hot tea. a few minutes later i was provided with extremely hot tea. about 10 minutes later it was a temperature i could tolerate drinking. about 1/3 through the drink i was required to throw away my drink because we were preparing for landing. i understand that, fine. bad timing. it’s just a drink. what was unsatisfactory is that the attendant rudely commented “you have to give us your drink. it’s not that long of a flight.” the comment made me feel like i had done something wrong even though i had just been drinking my tea as soon as it was at a drinkable temperature. i was not impressed with the attendant. also, there weren’t any biscotti cookies."
Cons: "LATAM is an absolutely horrible airline with horrible customer service. They changed the itinerary more than 3 times. I contacted KAYAK to help and you (KAYAK) did not help stating "that is the Airline's fault". This may be true. But if you are going to take my money for the tickets, please also take the time to address my concerns and solve the problems created by the company that you work with."

Pros: "Entertainment was great. I really liked the touch screens on the chairbacks. Food was fine for airplane food. It came more than I expected. Get sandwiches over the meals, they are better quality. A vegetarian guy had a hard time but the crew tried to help him out. Comfort was ok for a 13 hour trip. The chairs are not really the best and my back hurt after a while. Make sure you stretch! Crew was nice except for one lady. But she wasent rude just... non responsive. Other members were fantastic though. Boarding was very painless."

Cons: "I paid premium price for comfort and to be treated at least nice! In the business cabinet! Other than the seat which by the way mine was broken so I couldn't get to the position I'm the most comfortable, everything else I could have gotten in the economy seat. Crew was not welcoming, the had big attitudes as they were doing me favors! Which they are not! And they didn't check at me at all. Fly got delayed more than 2 hours didn't offer more drinks or snacks! Food was horrible so I was very hungry since I couldn't eat it! And the snacks were available at the back much later but when I went to check it out almost everything was gone! Other airlines come to offer you snacks! AA did not and the make me feel like an intruder when I went to check the empty snacks trays! Only the package food was still available. Horrible service, mean big headed crew! It's is simple! Be nice and make an effort! Especially for the people that actually is there paying the premium!"

Cons: "I didn't like that American Airlines had not staffed our flight, so we waited for 4.5 hours for a flight attendant who would be able to complete the flight crew so we could leave. They kept delaying the flight, 5 minutes at a time, for 4.5 hours. It flew out of LGA, it was a 9pm flight. The airport food sources were closed, and AA kept us until 1am-- no food, no internet, and, because LGA has terrible cell reception, no phone service. Once we got on the plane, everyone was really hungry, and the plane had no snacks. No entertainment because the TV system was broken. It was just a miserable experience. I regret trying to save $20 by booking that flight. I have had nothing but terrile experiences on American Airlines-- NEVER AGAIN."

We got boarding group one but by the time all the families with kids, first class, and frequent flyers went ahead of us they called all remaining groups together. Forget about overhead space left over, we had to gate check carry on. Seats were very uncomfortable, no room under the seat because of a big metal box for power outlets. No leg room, sat shoulders and thighs touching with neighbors. No meal service, just drinks and pretzels, luckily we picked up something to go changing planes in Dallas. Never again!"

Cons: "We arrived at St Stomas airport 85 minutes profile to our flights departure. The female manager, Latoya, at the desk was overly rude and completely out of line the way she was speaking to guests. Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for. She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport. Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day. This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry. I will never fly American Airlines again and now know why so many other people also feel this way."

Cons: "Everything was trerrible on this flight! We were delayed from our first connecting flight out to SF to LA and we're put on a different flight connecting to Houston to get us home sooner. We were told by the gentleman at the check in that our correct boarding passes with our seats sitting all together would be given to us at the boarding desk. That was the biggest mistake ever to take this flight because we were then delayed 3 more hrs! Not only that but when I approached the next gentleman at the boarding desk in Houston he was super rude! He was yelling at me when I told them that "they in Dallas,the worker at the check in" told me to get my boarding passes in Houston. He kept yelling saying "there was nothing he could do that he could do that he didn't know who THEY were but that I was talking to him now and that's why he is saying" I tried explaining to him that I just wanted to make sure I got in the right flight home because this is what I was told to do by the employee in Dallas. Not only that but our connecting flight to Houston was horrible! The flight attendant (the male) was very very rude!!! He also was yelling at my niece and nephew when we were trying to put the carry on bags in the compartment. And telling us we could have anything underneath the seat when clearly we could have our personal item underneath. Overall we had the worst experience with United and will never again fly with them! I understand delays may happen but there's no need for the employees to be so rude. so much for their customers service!"

This left no place for our feet or stretching our legs. The seats were cramped so closely together, our knees touched the seat pocket in front of us. When putting down the tray table, it pressed against our stomachs. The landing was the worst and scariest one I've experienced in over 40 yrs of frequent flying. We hit so fast and hard that the plane teetered from one wheel to the other and fish tailed so hard that people's necks were hurt. If possible, I'll never fly United again."

People were running to catch the Newark to Hartford gate on the other side of the airport. I am surprise United hasn't beeen sued for this lack of consideration to their customers. Luckily I was not in a wheelchair to run across to the other side of the airport due to United delay. I wonder how a United employee would feel if ithis happened to them and their children or disabled parents. Flying is already stressful enough, experiencing a flight delay and forcing people to run like cattles in an airport only pushes people to drive rather then fly."

Cons: "Airplane is new but chairs are made of plastic and very thin, they don't recline and you have very small space -- very uncomfortable. I flew from Miami to Vegas (5 hours) The plane flew at low altitude the entire way and went right through all storms just to save fuel/money. People were afraid for their lives because the plane was shaking so bad. I travel 1-2 weeks out of each month by plane for work and I am not afraid, I knew it was fine, but others had no idea and were very afraid. I know it is a cheap airline, but the real problem I had with them was they are not honest. Their website says that if you chose your seat online you have to pay, but if you do at check in it is free and they will try to keep your party together as long as there's seats available. Upon arriving at the counter they wanted to charge me to keep me and my fiancée together, otherwise she was at the front of the plane and I was all the way at the back. The plane had extra seats and we got there early to get assigned seats together but even the manager would not help me even after showing their website. He said the computer will make them charge me and there was no way around it. There's always a way around it. At the end of the day, paying for seats, all bags you check in or carry on, foods/drinks in the plane, I paid just as much as flying with a good airline such as Delta. I will never fly with them again, that is for sure."

It soured the rest of what was otherwise perfectly good service. Other passengerss reacted the same way. I was charged and then noticed the family next to me was charged only $40 for checked bags. The looks on their faces for having to pay for both types of bags was priceless. I mentioned the cheaper check-bag fee at the counter and she said, "Oh, but you said it was carry-on". It just felt scammy. Easy-Jet has been a discount airline for ages and they give you all the options up front so you know what you're getting into. They practically charge you for toilet paper but there are no surprises. Add the extra aggravation of LaGuardia's third world style and you end up with a frustrating day for avoidable reasons."

We were supposed to board 4 hours later and didn't make it on the plane till 5 hours later. Then they forgot to get gas so we were stuck on the plane for another 45 minutes. Flight attendants didn't offer food or drink and kept saying everything was for an additional fee. Nothing was provided. I will never fly with frontier again and am seriously concerned about my return flight."

Since we were delayed, they decided to give us breakfast vouchers (very nice) but they gave it to some people then not to others. When they finally decided to give them to the rest of us, we had 30 minutes before we had to board again! We could have been doing that with the 3 whole hours we had! I won't be flying frontier again, that's for sure!"

As a result, fifty or more people were waiting at the check in with no idea whether or not it was the right place or whether someone would eventually come. There were no chairs benches or waiting area---and we were forced to watch while other people were welcomed by their airlines. Also, having to pay for a single carry on seems like overkill to me."

Pros: "I was lied to at the service counter. Flight 131 was scheduled for 7:10 pm and I was at the counter and told by the only agent there that "they closed the door to the aircraft". That occurred at 6:40 pm with 3 people in front of me in line traveling together, and what's disturbing is that they were allowed to board. The next flight was 12 hours later at 6 am and I had absolutely no choice but to proceed and yield to the Frontier mandate. Just don't lie to me. If you understand the logistics at terminal E at DFW, I was very close to security and the gate. Flight departed at 7:22. Don't lie to your customers. All of the aforementioned information is verifiable."

No distinction in check in between "personal item" and "carry on" so you're almost tricked into buying a carry on when it prompts "no, I don't plan to bring anything with me", must print boarding pass unless you use Frontier app but there were no self help Kiosks at the airport"

Cons: "Charge extra for everything. No entertainment, not even music. Snacks (for sale) not appealing or healthy. Web site and app completely nonfunctional and not user friendly."

Cons: "In purchasing the ticket from your website, the price does not reflect comparative like and kind price comparison. If a carrier charges for a carry-on, this should be displayed as part of their price and a buyer should not have to go through a drop down menu to find out. Further, when I arrived at the airport, there was no explanation of this charge other than the kiosk, where I was not required to purchase. After dropping off my bag with the front desk agent at the airport, I went through security with my personal item and carry on. When I get to the gate, I find out not only do they enforce this charge, but they actually raise 50% from the front desk to the gate and the agents had no absolutely no desire or power to give me the $40 price. When directed to their website to purchase, the site was unresponsive and I was unable to purchase at the $40 rate. I was forced, literally forced given the fact I wasn't going to be able to fly home otherwise, to pay the $60. This matter is going to the state attorney generals office in Texas and the Better Business Bureau. If that does not resolve, I will be working on a class action lawsuit so all victims of this price gouging can receive compensation."

Cons: "I've flown frontier before and I have never had a problem. Tried to check in for our flight 30min before it took off as we were running late. The rep who was working the desk (young female, approx. 20yrs old) gave us the worst guest service I have ever received. I did not understand why we could not check in, nor attempt to board our flight, although I understood it is our fault for running late. We did not need to check any bags as we were carrying them on. The woman behind the desk only kept saying you missed your flight and was very disrespectful when our friend tried to talk to her saying "I don't know why your even trying to talk to me, I told you I am done with you." I work in the guest service industry and have never been treated or talked to with such disrespect. I would have understood if she was apologetic and explained to us WHY we could not board or make our flight, compared to being rude and rolling her eyes constantly. I will not be flying frontier again I can avoid it."
Cons: "The flight attendant was laughing during the safety speech, which was a little discomforting if you like to feel as if you may make it alive. If you like to not move your legs around or not be able to recline slightly while in an air plane, then this is your airline. The flights are cheap but they forgot to tell you they charge for one carry on! You might as well fly with a legitimate company and not end up paying the same price if not more because of all the "fine print". The saying goes "buy cheap, get cheap" but this airline is a little out of control."

Cons: "The reason why it's so cheap is that they charge for everything. For some reason the site combined my first and middle name. I noticed when checking in and was prompted to change it. I was then showing a $400 balance even though I had already paid for my ticket months ago. I called customer service and they luckily updated it for me. The person then proceeded to tell me if I check a bag, bring a carry one, or want to choose a seat, there will be a charge. $60 just to bring a checked bag (27 lbs by the way) round trip. I opted not to spend even more money on the carry on and seat. I've seen other airlines charge for seats, but they're typically upgrades and you can choose another available seat for free. Not Frontier. If you don't want to pay the site tells you it will choose a seat for you. I don't know what the point of checking in 24 hours in advance is juat to be put in the last group no matter what. Speaking of seats, these were plastic, tiny, and uncomfortable. Speaking of uncomfortable, the plane felt like it was going to fall apart with even a hint of turbulence. Overall not great and I may have to go elsewhere for plane trips in the future. But that's up to Frontier."

Might as well not put a drink on it either, because it would just fall off -- there was not a cup indention for the cup to sit in. Very dissatisfied. Won't fly with yall again. Sorry."

Cons: "-$40 fee for personal bag that was slightly over regulation -one hour delay PLUS 2 hours stuck on runway in the airplane without access to water nor could we stand up out of our chairs for bathroom -finally when they were serving food and beverage only paying passengers had first access to food and water even if the crew had to walk all the way to the back and then back to the front to serve and charge them, it took about 45 minutes until they started serving water (of which the second cup of water they needed to charge for supposedly although we got "lucky" and they gave us a free second little glass of water)"

Before we checked in, a lady told us to just print the boarding pass and go inside in order for us not to miss the fly when we asked if we can have as discount because we did not know about the carry-on bags. Outside was $55 for a bags and $65 at the gate. Which is $10 more for each additional bags. This is stealing money from people and they are sending passengers away from Spirit airlines. I don't recommend to anyone. Even water, you have to pay for it."

Cons: "1.The plane had a crying child the entire 4 hours and the parents did very little to calm him down. There were other children in the plane but this poor child kept crying and no one helped him.Flight attendants walked past and did not ask the parents to calm the child down. 2. I was seated in third row at the front of the plane. I have never seen so much unprofessional conduct by flight attendants. I fly monthly for work and this was the first time I have seen an A320 plane all 6 flight attendants congregate at the front of the plane to chit chat the whole time. They stopped to serve drinks and went right back to chatting animatedly. I admire that they as coworkers get along but flight attendant is a revered profession and they should uphold it as such. Not act like its a picnic job by laughing and catching up on stories in full view of the entire flight :-( I guess I cant complain too much because its Spirit Airlines after all. You get what you pay for."
Cons: "Checked baggage fees were expensive ($50) and they are very strict about the size limit for carry on bags. Also, they didn't have reclining seats, except for one or two rows, which you have to pay an up charge for."
Pros: "On February 15th I was stuck in Dallas from a flight from Cleveland to Los Angeles on an American Airlines flight. Out of desperation, I booked a Spirit flight for what I thought was the next morning from Dallas to LA only to realize a couple of hours later that the flight I booked was for March 16th instead of February 16th! When I called both Kayak and Spirit, I was told “sorry but there will be no refunds or credits issued! Talk about a total waste of my time and money. It’s too bad that given the circumstances of total exhaustion and frustration of trying to get to my destination of LA that out of desperation I accidentally booked a flight for the correct date but the wrong month. Thanks for listening. Gary"
Pros: "It was an awful experience. From my plane “leaving” a half an hour before it was suppose to leave supposedly to my bag being over weight because I combined two bags because you charge for carry on. I threw away 3 pairs of jeans and my blow dryer. The lady that told me I missed my flight told me she could book me a new one (for another $99) on Friday. This was Wednesday. I was flying into a major airport. Spirit is a rip off and I will not be flying with them ever again nor will I ever suggest any of my friends to do so either!"
Cons: "Flight was late and they kept changing the time, never received an email of the delay or changes. Got to the airports to wait an excess two hours. Girl next to me asked for a water and they wouldn't bring it to her and then wanted to charge her three dollars for water after we all were stuck in the airport for 4 hours."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines does not care AT ALL. I will never fly them again. No explanation of delay, which then led to a full cancellation, in which they then had us waiting in a line for 20 minutes until they (finally?) ejected us out of the security zone because they put our bags at baggage claim, so I wasn't able to buy a flight at a desk from another airlines right nearby because I had to go back through security so they messed up my timing entirely. I have also not received my refund for my baggage / seat extras and it's been a full week. Horrendous. If I could give them negative ratings I would."

Cons: "Spirit Airlines offers low fares but then uses slight policy differences to charge extra fees. They reduced the size of carry on to an impractical size. I have never had a problem with my carry on, but it would not fit into their criteria, so I had to pay extra. The charge was not based on fitting in the luggage compartment it was just an extra charge for size. First bag $50 and second $60. They charge extra for a bag weight over 40 lbs when the majority of the airlines allow 50 lbs. You're only allowed one item to take on the plane, not a personal item plus a carry on. They charged for water on the plane. I do not recommend flighting Spirit and will not be a repeat customer."

Cons: "I can't give it a rating because they cancelled the flight and had nothing to book us on. Waited over 3hrs before they finally found me something. Gave me a hotel voucher but when I finally got to the hotel, they had no rooms. The transportation to the hotel cost a fortune because the hotel shuttle would not pick up the phone. They finally put me in a room with someone else from my flight. I got 60 min of sleep before having to return to airport. I'm a 49 yr old woman that flies often and this was by far the worst flight/airline experience that I've ever had. And, the lady at the hotel kept my food vouchers so I didn't even get to eat the next day."
Cons: "Check-in at reservations section was terrible...there were 2 lines of passengers checking in and 1 line had 3 agents checking passengers in and the other line had 1 agent checking passengers in. We were second in line...in the wrong line with only 1 agent checking passengers in...we waited 20 minutes to get helped, because the party in front of us (with 2 in line) actually had a ticket for 6 passengers (4 of whom showed up several minutes later), who had to decide/pay for luggage options ,etc.. If you have 2 lines & 4 agents, 2 agents should be serving each line...enough for me never to fly Spirit again!"
Cons: "6 hour layover turned into 11-12 hours. Repeatedly got emails during the layover that the connections was delayed an hour, 2, 3, ,4, 5, then 5 minutes, then another 20 minutes. How does the schedule work that way?? First night of vacation was taken by poor planning and management. Oh, we were giving $28 in meal vouchers for airport meal prices. The lead flight attendant was constantly occupied with her own stuff. It was just annoying. It was also annoying how she tried to talk fast over the intercom like she had it down, but it was obvious she didn't."

Cons: "Everything else, small stiff seats that can't be adjusted, bags are silly expensive if you have to buy a carry on at the gate it's 100.then in April they change the size of the free carry on and make it smaller. The flight attendants weren't exactly nice. Bad experience on this airline. Will not fly again. Period. Was delayed 20 minutes for not finding staff."

Pros: "The crew was sympathetic to us when we arrived with a carry on bag that we had no idea was a charge - they were nice and considerate about explaining Spirit's appalling charges."
Cons: "Spirit Air is so full of fraudulent business practices where do I start? You buy a ticket thinking you are getting a great deal, until you realize you have to pay for EVERYTHING: your carry on, your bags (OH, and they only have a 40lb limit, beware), your seat, and so much more. They are not helpful at check in and honestly don't want people to even have to deal with their agents (do it all online) and charge you $10 extra if you do need to speak to an agent. They are terrible. Food is expensive and they don't give you ANYTHING as a courtesy. I can't believe they are actually making money - but they do it because we all buy a ticket thinking it is a great deal only to find out we have to pay all the fees. I think KAYAK needs to REALLY consider if this is a business they want to promote as a low cost airline."

Cons: "The website wouldn't let me check in my bag prior to arriving to the airport. Tried multiple times and kept getting an error. Spoke with an agent upon arrival, showed her my screen and she suggested I do it again. Which produced the same result. They ended up charging me the online price anyway, because it wasn't working. I had two rather large folks in my row and immediately asked the flight attendant if I could move, he told me maybe, but probably not until after take off. He then moved two other folks into the row adjacent to me which caused the original gentleman sitting there to get up and move to a row without three people in it. Seemed kind of rude for him, he offered me his seat since I'd asked. I declined as I figured the attendant would get back to me. He did approach me later and said I could move into the only other open seat in the other row, but I didn't want those folks to feel put out. I was going to ask to move to a different row adjacent as there was only 1 gentleman there, but the attendant had already left. On other airlines, once the door is closing anyone can move or trade and wasn't sure why it was such an issue for me or for anyone. I felt I was hanging out in the aisle for 2.5 hours while touching hips and arms with my seat mate."

Cons: "My only bad experience was checking in online. I made a mistake when one of those incessant ads popped up, and afterwards I could never get back to the screen for checking in. I was forced to do it at the airport. When I called customer service the guy on the other end could not suggest anything except to try over and over what I already knew was useless--- checking in online. He was very polite and helpful but the fact that he couldn't speak English very well made it even harder to communicate on the phone. Spirit airlines is a great way to save money, but don't bother with their customer service."

Cons: "I did not like having to pay for EVERYTHING. I didn't like the the lack of staff hands-on help when it came to boarding. But most of all I was absolutely disappointed and angry at the fact that something as simple as the starter and or fuel injector, whichever it was wasnt thoroughly checked out on a pre-flight check. Whether its your procedure or not THAT is unacceptable. We were headed to the runway before they realized it and we sat still for about 20-30 mins. Which I can only imagine means that they were having problems starting the engine in question and that they were entertaining the thought of taking off if they could get it to work. If there is something wrong with an engine, regardless of the issue, there should be an immediate check by the proper crew. On top of all this I had to wait at PDX for 3 hours because the ride I had arranged had a certain window of time to pick me up and I missed it. I didn't get picked up until 10pm"

Cons: "Everything. Not only was the flight's departure delayed by two hours, but once we were finally able to board the flight, the a/c wasn't working. After taxiing aimlessly for 45 minutes in the Dallas summer sun with no air conditioning, the pilot announced we would have to return to the gate so that "the engine could be started". Fortunately, at this time, the air conditioning was also repaired. After an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of repairs, taxiing and waiting, we finally departed after a total delay of 3 hours. Upon landing in New Orleans, we were forced to wait for an additional hour while we waited for our gate to clear. All in all, we arrived 4 hours after our initial arrival time, and spent 3 hours on a plane for a 1 hour and 8 minute flight."

Cons: "Not having curbside check-in. Printing a boarding pass to join the line to speak with an agent to check-in luggage or baggage drop. The price for one piece of checked luggage on Spiritair.com went from $26 a week before the trip,$42 the day before the trip, and then $56 the day of the trip. Not to mention feeling bad for the customers who did not use the kiosk to print their boarding to passes to either have pay the $10 fee at the counter for a boarding pass or go to the Kiosk print out a boarding pass for free then to turnaround and have to rejoin the check-in line all over again if they have to do a baggage drop."
Pros: "The cost of airfare was good but also competitive with other airlines like American and United. I chose Spirit Air because the flight worked with my schedule."
Cons: "I missed my flight along with others because of a delay going through the TSA security check. Arrived at the gate 14 minutes prior to departure. An international traveler with a small child was waiting to board as well. The CSA had just walked down the jetway and was suppose to return. Four minutes later the flight pushed out of the gate, departing 10 minutes early. The staff knew of the TSA delay. If I had made my flight it would have cost me an additional $100 dollars to check my carry on suite case that I have been flying with for the past two years on other airlines without any fee. Spirit Air requires you to have a smaller carry on suitcase than the rest of the industry. So my $96 dollar fare would now be $196. American Air was also offering a deal at the time for $91, but the time did not work with my schedule. Spirit Air is not a deal. If you check your carry on suitcase on line it will cost you $45. If you check your bag at the gate it will cost you $65. If you check your bag while boarding it will cost you $100. Traveller beware!"
Pros: "The flight was generally OK, and got me from Dallas to Chicago virtually on time, inexpensively."
Cons: "Once again I had a frustrating time trying to check in the night before, via my phone. The system never let me do that. Consequently I had to pay more to check my bag, since I was unable to do it until arriving at the airport. I joined their 9$ Fare Club before the Chicago-Dallas trip, but their system never recognized that or gave my any benefit from that money. I also hate that they nickel-and-dime you by not giving you even a glass of water or a bag of pretzels without payment. How much would adding those basic courtesies really add to the cost???"
Pros: "The crew on the actual flight was helpful and nice and the seats were comfortable."
Cons: "That there are inconsistencies between carry on sizes from DIA to Dallas. I was charged double to check my carry on even though its size was accepted through DIA. The only explanation for this that I got was "the Denver airport wasn't doing their job" by monitoring the size of the carry on and so ultimately it became my problem at the gate as well as a few others in the same situation being charged a ridiculous amount over what we should have for our bags. I hate the fact that this isn't a cash airline, there is little communication about checking bags, and essentially anything over the size of a backpack is super expensive to check. There are no complimentary items and based upon what I spent to check my bags, I could have probably gotten cheaper airfare with another airline because I would have gotten two free checked bags. I will probably never fly with spirit again unless all I am carrying is one small carry on, it's not worth it and ultimately was not competitively priced against other airlines because of this. Way too expensive for all the extra things which were not very well communicated. If I had known any of this before I booked my flight I would have gone with another airline it might have even been cheaper after paying for my bags both ways. This was my first and last experience with spirit."
Cons: "Am a retired disabled vet and was to on my only trip for the year. I arrived for my flight 2 hrs in advance but i travel with a portable oxygen machine. I was refused boarding because I didn't have the correct letter from a doctor saying I was auth to fly on Spirit Air Lines. I am treated by the VA and they pay for the POC for me to be able to fly. I called the airline about a refund and was refused a refund because the flight had already left. I told them i was denied on the flight, but that was not an excuse. If i didn't do what is correct, I accept that, but not to give a refund is wrong. I have told everyone on Social media to be aware"
Cons: "Was in line to board and the lady in front of me had a bigger luggage bag so they asked her to pay $65. I was asked that I needed to pay also even tho my bag was a small carry on size. She said everyone has to pay for their carry ons. I used the same bag for many trips before with spirit and NEVER had to pay for it. I stepped aside and nobody else paid for theirs.. What a rip off!! I packed small to avoid that exact reason and I ended up paying $65 rants ridiculous. NEVER! EVER FLYING WITH SPIRIT AGAIN!!"
Pros: "Their honesty and the price. They tell you upfront that you are paying for a seat from point A to point B and that's it. Anything extra will Cost you. With that in mind I prepared myself to try and not receive any additional costs and I didn't. The staff was very friendly And helpful and our flight attendant was awesome and made our trip even more enjoyable. Being only 5'4" tall the leg room and seat size were accommodating and comfortable for me. We didn't pay to sit together but we checked in online at the same time and wound up sitting in the same row!"

Cons: "Requested wheel chair assistance in airport, noted on boarding info that I would need help at both start and end of the flight segments but had to wait for help, you switched gates at the start of the flight and no one looked to provide help to move. No one at destination again after the flight, agaiin I had to wait for help to get to baggage claim, 100% rated disabled veteran, no spirit of help provided from the staff. I informed boarding argent I would need extra time at boarding, time between asking for disabled patrons and phase 1 boarding was 3 seconds, again no help on this issue, plane was late on the turn so it wast just get then in so we can leave the gate."
Cons: "The crew on my first flight were very accommodating and friendly, but on my second flight they were NOT so friendly and everyone around me was talking about how rude and unfriendly they were. This was my first time flying on Spirit and I asked for a pillow and the response I received from the Flight Attendant was "What!....we don't have pillows" Another reason I was unhappy was because on my connecting flight from Texas to Chicago we were delayed on the plane and NOBODY told us what the problem was and why we were not moving to the runway. After 42 minutes we were told "we are waiting for paperwork from Maintenance" that is it! Not how long they expect the wait to be or come around and offer us some drinks or snacks. The Flight Attendants DID NOT even walk the aisle....not even once! We finally took off after 75 minute delay. It was if we were on the plane alone...this is not how I would have handled the situation. I also obtained the Spirit credit card to rack up some miles, but not I am giving it a second thought!"

Cons: "I didn't like the price when I found out- after I booked- that everything was extra and in the end and in-turn spent way more than I would have if I had flown a better airline that at least has seats that recline.. Leg room.. a tray that isn't half attached.. and a complimentary soda. That model may work for some.. but selling the fact that they are cheap and then being forced to pay for every little thing is enough for me to say never again. After it was all said and done.. the price was double what the tickets were.. when I got done with all the extras."

Cons: "Because their ticket counter was backed up and the machines were not working I got my ticket late, because I got my ticket late me and 10 other passengers missed boarding. We arrived when the plane was still there and connected to the walkway. They refused to let all of us board even though my sister was told that they would hold the plane for 5 or more. I had to fly to San Diego and then pay for a new flight on southwest. SOUTHWEST IS THE REAL MVP. Take my advice, never fly spirit. Also, 50 bucks per luggage per way, so one bag totaled 100 to fly it."

The issue I have is that besides already being delayed, when we arrived in Detroit we had to wait an hour before we could get a gate that was opened and staffed. This is all happening after midnight so many of us on the flight have family and friends coming to pick us up at a very inconvenient time as it is, now they are waiting over an hour for us. Very disappointed in Spirit. I would hope that you would have your staff organized and managed a little better than this, being a major airliner in the state."
Pros: "Boarding and arrival was on time. I knew it would be crowded and a bit tight with no frills but for a short flight it was worth it for the price."
Pros: "Our flight attendant during the trip back was entertaining."
Cons: "Absolutely horrendous customer service at the gate. Charged me $200 to "board or move aside" because of bags we DID NOT pay for on the first leg of our round-trip flight. Complete disregard of any pertinent info about this. AND when I got on the plane it was as if the bags didn't even exist, just slid right into the bin with no questions. HORRIBLE treatment from DFW crew. The nerve to say you gotta pay or get out of the way because the plane needed to be boarded. THEN we sit on the plane for another 25 minutes? Not that these surveys matter, seeing as all the complaints I've read about online are disregarded in the first place. I have NEVER been treated so poorly in my 30+ years of flying, NEVER felt so disrespected, NEVER felt so adamant about refusing to fly an airline again. And I don't care if you have little signs posted by the gate with a little cubby to measure your bag... If it is a POLICY it should be enforced at ALL TIMES, not whenever you guys feel like it. Especially not with representatives Iremalise and her "manager" miss Pauline Kanouse who garnered no such supervisory respect from us with her unhelpful negative and belittling attitude. Terrible."
Pros: "The person who assisted my disabled Sister was down right rude, mean and insulting which discolored my feeling of this portion of the trip. I had to worry about and concern myself with the poor treatment of Mentally and cognitively delayed autistic sister instead of relaxing throughout my trip"
Cons: "Never made it. Lost our luggage. Diverted us to Phoenix. Got one $14 voucher for food. told us other airlines not an option because,spirit has no agreements with other airlines when flights are cancelled. Flight from Phoenix to Chicago delayed again. Agent complained that flight was overbooked and it wasn't her problems that everyone didn't have a seat. Again, very unprofessional. Finally made it back to Chicago a day after our original flight should have landed. They still "don't know" where our luggage is...and made no promises it would be returned. I would never fly spirit airlines again, you obviously get what you pay for."
Cons: "Denied boarding on the return flight because we arrived at the airport 35 minutes before the departure. We paid for baggage fees and seat assignment fees although we were denied boarding on the flight. While I do accept responsibility for arriving so close to the departure time, I do not like the lack of consistency between DFW and MSY. To explain, we arrived rather late for the outbound flight because we had to drop our dogs off at the kennel. However, we were allowed boarding in the DFW area, the flight was actually boarding upon our arrival. We ended up having to rent a car, drive home, missed a day from work which results in a day of loss wages. Not a happy camper and will not book with this carrier EVER again!"
