It almost hit my head and luckily it just touched my shoulder. It was my horrible experience. I picked this flight because it fits my schedule. Next trip I will never take it any more."

They offer a package price of $63 per person coming and going that makes your overall trip more expensive than going with a top carrier for a trip for two. Not worth the headache and will never travel with them again."

I would have preferred to reschedule for Saturday but wasn't allowed. To my surprise you had flights Friday snd Saturday after the storm passed which were already full. I missed events i already paid for which i was upset. I felt i should have been notified about the open flights and given an option to reschedule with no penalty."

We were also delayed for over an hour both ways once sitting on the plane and there was no explanation as to why. I would never consider taking this airline again."

She didn't even have the common courtesy to come to me and say she wasn't going to give me any water. We had to ask her why she didn't provide water even when she had a water bottle in her hand. I will never fly with Frontier again. Also they try and trick you with cheap airline tickets initially, but then charge you $40 for 1 checked bag each way and you don't get any perks! Not even water. All the passengers were hunched forward because the seats were so uncomfortable. The trays are wide enough to hold two drinks. The trays can't hold a laptop or a magazine. Water is free which is one upgrade which is better than spirit. However, spirit had cushioned seats that recline."

Pros: "This flight was horrible from start to finish. This was a flight from Miami to New York, scheduled to depart at 2:25 and arrive at 5:25. Around 1:30 we were told we'd be departing at 3:30 instead due to "weather at LaGuardia." I'd like to point out that countless friends and family, and also every weather app known to man, assured me there was absolutely no bad weather in the New York area and in fact there wasn't supposed to be until that evening, when there was a chance of thunderstorms. So if anything, delaying the flight only increased our chances of running into said bad weather. In any event, we boarded at 3pm and then around 3:30 were told we'd now be delayed again, probably departing around 4pm. So we sat on the runway like idiots. We did leave shortly after 4pm, and then once we got to the LaGuardia area about two hour later, we were told we needed to refuel (????) so we were being rerouted to Raleigh. About 40 minutes later we were told there was a storm in Raleigh so actually we would be going to Newport News. This is absolutely no joke, but the flight crew nor the pilot knew which state Newport News was in and upon arriving they announced we were in Virginia and said they knew that thanks to a Google search. Keep in mind it was now about 8pm and we had all been prepared for a short flight that would arrive hours ago, so everyone was beginning to get really hungry and irritable. This is where the flight crew started to really, thoroughly suck. In addition to being completely rude to anyone who tried to ask if we could get some more information, they were CHARGING people for water and offering nothing in the way of food. Only after a passenger begged did they dole out granola bars and cups half-filled with water around 9pm. Also, this entire time we weren't able to leave the aircraft and this was when the bathrooms decided to go out, and they were out of commission for about 30 minutes, so that was fun. We finally got into the air around 10pm and landed in LaGuardia by 10:50. Also, just a note, but when we took off in Newport News the weather had turned and there was heavy rain and lightning. We had no issue taking off during the storm, but apparently the storm was the reason for the initial delay? Whatever. Anyway we finally landed in LGA after being on that plane for 7+ hours. Then, just when we thought it was over, we were told there wasn't a gate open and we would need to sit on the plane and remain on the runway for about 30 minutes. 30 minutes was actually more like 45, so around 11:30 we finally, FINALLY could get off and I have never seen passengers de-board a plane so quickly. Overall this was one of the worst experiences ever, and while I try and be understanding when it comes to delays, what really put this over the edge was 1) the lack of reasoning for the delays and 2) the incompetency and rudeness of the crew. They made no one feel safe or comfortable. This was the absolute worst."

We then had to stop in Philadelphia to refuel for hours and ended up at Laguardia close to 6 hours late! During that time a no point did the crew offer the passengers any snacks or even water. Not even to the children. They actually made people who couldn't hold any longer pay for snacks and drinks! The pilot then had a tantrum and refused to leave until a dissatisfied passenger was removed. Classy... Also, they make you pay for carry-on. Quite a lot. Smallest seats I have ever been in. Avoid this airline!!!"

Cons: "Lets begin with the scam of low ticket prices. You you're getting a good deal until the day before the flight when you have PAY FOR CARRYON LUGGAGE. Then, there was an hour and a 45 min delay. At the airport, the Frontier computer systems were down, so getting on the plane had to be done manually. On the plane, some of the crew was rude like a man named RAY and the black flight attendant who used the most aggressive tone over the loud speaker. Here's the worst part, on a flight from MIA to NYC the plane had to stop and refuel in Philadelphia. If that's not crazy, I don't know what is! They told us it would only take 20 minutes, but we were in Philly for TWO HOURS! There was a lady that wanted to know what was going on, so she asked the flight attendants who told her they had no info. She asked for their names, which they refused to give to her and they proceeded to have her KICKED OFF THE PLANE by the captain. We got no complimentary snacks during this ordeal. I asked a flight attendant for free chips and got laughed at in my face. As you can tell, I will never fly Frontier again. The flight was supposed to leave MIA at 2:50pm and land at 5:00pm.. We got to NYC at 10:00pm. NEVER AGAIN."

Cons: "Forget the fact that Spirit offers low cost flights and hides the fact that selecting a seat and traveling with a bag will increase that cost to a higher price than what you’d pay on a normal airline. Set aside the fact that you will be crammed into a cushion-less metal seat that neither reclines nor has a working tray table (it is a shelf that cannot hold a drink.) What’s driven me most to review this airline is the sense of unease and sheer fear we felt being told that we’d be taking off once the crew could determine if the right engine would work. After a bumpy, white-knuckler on our way down to FLL, my son and I walked off our return flight, unwilling to spend another few hours wondering if we’d make it to our destination."

Prices are very similar to other competitors and, quite honestly, a 10 dollar difference does not mean much - furthermore the charges for baggage are ridiculous, even when compared with competitors. It is great way to generate extra revenue for the airline but, let's be honest, that doesn't help any customers. JetBlue, Delta and American are much better options with similar pricing."

I am pregnant, and had to maneuver my position to sit completely sideways so that his skin wouldn't be on mine. My right side of my hip still hurts and it's been hours after my flight. Cons: "Yeah you offer low fares but what's the point when you charge $60 for me to carry my own bag onto the plane and store it myself ...that is just being greedy . The fact that I arrived checked in and was stopped at security entrance to go back into a ridiculously long line to pay for my carry on luggage is ludicrous-again showing your greed , if someone gets through at least set it up for them to pay at the gate and not have to stand in long lines -time is the most precious of commodities these days. Once in security line customer service was awful , people yelling out all the cant dos rather than assisting people through the line for efficiency. I asked an agent if he could move me in the line as my flight boarded in 30 min and he simply said I can't do that but you can ask someone if they will let you go ahead -ARE YOU KiDDING ME ? Any other airline would show concern and assist accordingly-it's called customer service Once entering the plane , it was dirty and had a fowl odor in the cabin. Could see trash and debris from the prior flight and this was a 7am flight! . Seat did not recline and no entertainment options . Have not had an experience like that in a while and I will for sure steer clear of your airlines in the future. Not trying to be harsh -but you got some work to do"
Cons: "Not only did they cancel my flight an hour before said flight, i had to wait in 3.5 hour line to reschedule. Why didn't i call to reschedule? Because there was a 2 hour wait on the phone. Once i did get through (while still standing in line) they wanted to reschedule my flight for TWO days later! So i decide to wait in line. I get to the agent and they can only reschedule me for the next day at 11am. So i missed work. As compensation they gave me a $7 voucher for lunch and breakfast to use at the airport terminal (where a bagel and coffee cost me $8.25) And apparently they had cancelled my flight due to 'crew issues' which i later found out that the flight attendants and the pilots have an on going strike. They dont offer any type of snack on the airplane, im barely 5'2 and the seat infront of me was a mere two inches away from my knees. they charge you for a carry on, and they have now made the one piece of luggage that is allowed without paying smaller, so essentially a purse. You'd be better off just paying 20/30 dollars more and fly one of the other airlines."

New York is a wonderful city and I hope that people appreciate it. I did not find the pilots jokes funny. He also announced that he knows how to handle New Yorkers. What on earth is he talking about? Cons: "Bought a round trip to Florida from LGA and back, had to miss my first flight due to an emergency and ended up heading into Florida two days earlier than planned. The day to come back, I was dealt with in such a rude manner at the Spirit airline desk because they said since I didn't show up for my first flight they canceled my second??? Had to pay YET AGAIN for another ticket back home. I was so furious because the way I was treated, they just canceled my ticket back home even though on my phones email I had the confirmation number for my original ticket and so the amount of time that it took to get another ticket... showed up two hours early and I made it on the plane as the last passenger. Calling Spirit this week to talk about this experience and to get a partial refund one one of the tickets since I paid for 3 full tickets and actually only used two. As someone who is still in school coughing up money for another ticket is completely unfair NOR was this stated on my email ."
Cons: "Aside from awful seats, boarding procedures got for cattle, and Spirit's attempts to make you buy extras while booking(multiple, fervent, attenpts), they have no water on board except for purchase. I asked repeatedly for a cup of the rate substance to wash down a pill-my bag with credit cards was stashed somewhere else, the seatbelt sign was on, and I had a well deserved splitting headache. The answer was "absolutely not". Eventually-I bought a bottle for 3$.thos airline shouldn't be allowed to continue-. Also-the crew was pushing MasterCard applications-promising a certificate of 2500airmiles for completing it. The miles, are, in fact, unusable. Even if I used the card, the fees for booking with miles far exceed the price of the actual ticket."

Cons: "We arrived on what was apparently a very busy travel day for a 7:20 flight over an hour before the flight. Once we arrive at the terminal there was a line outside the terminal including hundreds of passengers for various flights covering the entire sidewalk outside the terminal (FLL). Thankfully we were pulled out of this line due to our flight leaving within about an hour to a shorter line to check in our bag (which still moved incredibly slowly). Once we were all checked in including our bag we lined up at security. There a woman asked for anyone going to our destination at which time she we acknowledged us looked at line ahead and turned away never too acknowledge us again. We went through the security line and were on our way to the gate within the time limit. Then we walked through the terminal to our gate which was apparently at the further possible gate from our assigned terminal (with my elderly parents who weren't able to walk at a quick pace). During our long walk to fare there wasn't even one announcement about our flight completing boarding or announcing that this would happen soon. Once we arrived at the gate another woman told us the doors were closed and no additional passengers were to be allowed in. We understood that despite the ridiculous security line and distance to the gate that we did not arrive on time and were turned away. This is where I felt that the gate associate acted unprofessionaly and allowed 2 other passengers to board even after turning us away. I asked why, despite the doors still being opened for these other passengers, that we were turned away? The woman said she couldn't help us and that we would be allowed into the next flight. We returned to the terminal for rebooking and waited almost 2 hours on line to get on the next flight. At this point we were told that all flights were booked until at least 24 hours later. Then we switched our flights to an airport about an hour away (PBI) to land at an airport two hours from our original destination (ACY instead of LGA). I'm the end we spent the entire day traveling. I would understand that we weren't at the gate by the designated time (due to the ridiculous check-in line and security line) but the part that infuriated me was that 2 passengers were allowed onto the plane after we were turned away. I felt that because I didn't yell or whine, my family weren't allowed to board the flight and the two passengers who did argue, were allowed to board is a poor business practice and disrespectful. This was compounded by the poor attitude of the gate agents and the fact that there were no announcements made about our flight."
Pros: "When I walked on the plane there are ice cubes and chips all over my seat. It was so dirty. Also the tray to eat on barely fits a coffee. There are no tvs. You have to pay extra for your seat and extra for your carry on bags. You also have to pay for water of snacks. $3 for water!!!! Terrible."
Cons: "Spirit has a special way of making you wish you didn't need luggage when you travel. Both going and returning there was at least a 45 minute wait for the luggage at baggage claim. That just adds the insult to the injury of paying over $40 per bag (carry on size) each way. Don't you dare bring that bag to the gate or there will be a $100 dollar charge to carry it on the plane. After paying over $480 per ticket to fly from LGA to Fort Lauderdale. So my family get away to Florida cost nearly $2000 for air fair followed by $240 for my families 3 small bags. No frills = highway robbery. Be sure to bring your own water because that isn't available (for free) either."
Cons: "This company is so cheap, they charge you $45 for a carry-on bag, and they don't even have reclining seats on their planes. Even worse, there are no monitors next to the gates to tell you WHERE THE FLIGHT IS GOING. Because of this, when they change a plane's gate, they don't have anywhere to tell people. So they tell you when you go up to get on your plane, which is already 30 minutes late, and it's too late to catch your flight. Then you get to spend 3 hours waiting in lines to talk to Spirit employees who are just annoyed, stubborn, and won't give you a refund. Absolutely terrible experience. Seriously, pick any other airline than these guys."
Pros: "Board flight. Fly to destination. I love the no frills, low luggage, easy on and easy off of this airline. My biggest feeling of stress on flights is the drink service. The cart is always blocking the bathroom, you are thinking of what free beverage you want the entire first hour, you spill some of it, then you have trash for the second hour of the flight. It's literally the worst part of flying other than the endless fear of death and facing your mortality with every hint of turbulence. This airline and others like it are amazing. No stress of awkwardly bothering your aisle mates with getting in and out when they just got a comp. cola. and you feel like you have to wait until they're done before you can go to the bathroom. Half the anxiety of flying is alleviated for me personally. Love this airline."

Take off took 40 minutes and crew wouldn't let anyone use restrooms for another hour after take off. Seats are uncomfortable, thin, hard and don't re line, landing was very bumpy. Not a good flight experience, may seem inexpensive but after you buy ticket you have to buy seat, carry on and checked bags and they even charge for water on board. Safe to say I won't ever fly spirit again."

Cons: "Spirit airlines would not issue a refund for my cancelled trip to Miami despite the high Zika risk, attendant CDC travel warning, and the fact that I notified them of my pregnancy. They purported to issue me a $120 "voucher" (to expire in 60 days) though I initially paid around $400 for the tickets. The website failed to display the voucher number, and my requests to their customer service center to please provide it were ignored. It's hard to imagine how I'd even be able to use it as there is no voucher redemption option on their site. I will never book another flight with this airline."

They also spent the last 10 minutes of the flight trying to sell their credit card in a forced and very sleezy way. Not worth it and probably won't save you much if any anyways"

Cons: "The entire trip from beginning to end was the worst experience ever. If you absolutely have to take this airline, be sure to look up baggage information before traveling. I spent over $130 before even getting through security just on luggage. Our flight was delayed due to no air conditioning on the plane but they later said it was due to traffic control so that they wouldn't have to compensate us. All in all I was not able to catch a flight until eight hours later. Trying to get compensation and sort out our flight arrangements after being delayed was the worst experience as well. The airport supervisor/Spirit airline supervisor was not even able to help us, they ended up calling airport security and police due to the rowdiness of people not getting any help. Not only was it difficult getting help at the airport but going to the last resort of calling the airline was no better. Every representative barely spoke English and would not put a supervisor on the phone. I called three times in a matter of the eight hours and still was not able to speak to a supervisor nor a US representative. I will never fly with them again and I suggest the same for everyone else. I really hope our reviews from that day is widely broadcasted, and taken into consideration. SpirtAirlines, FortLauderdale departure."

Before I bought the ticket I made sure that my carry on bag fits the requirements for the free personal item carry on. I get to the airport and apparently my bag was one inch too big because the handle was sticking out of the grey line an inch and I had to go back to the baggage drop off and pay for an extra carry on bag. Since a carry on bag is more expensive than an actually checked suitcase, I obviously checked my bag. Where do you pay more for carry on's than checked in luggages? Either way needles to say I could have packed an actually suitcase in the first place since I ended up checking my bag. Finally on the plane the crew was very unfriendly and unprofessional. They chit chatted and were busy fixing their hair, while passangers boarded. Didn't look right or left to say hi and greet people. As I made my way all the way to the back where I was sitting I have noticed that the aircraft was covered in bread crumbles and cookies on the floor and seats from the flight before. I cleaned my seat and sat down. Security instructions... nobody cared that the window shields had to be open for take off and landing nore that passengers were having tabletts and purses on their laps. The backrests weren't in an upright position at all. Next thing the pilot did not really speak that great of an english so that the flight attendant had to repeat what he said in order for us to understand it. She announced that all drinks need to be paid for including water coffee and tea. Wow... what an amazing flight. Never again, and I can definitely not recommand this airline to anyone else. Tickets are not cheaper than others the airport is very inconvenient and you have to pay seperatly for everything else which makes it more and more expensive and in the end you don't save at all but actually pay way more than jetblue for example for a poor service and dirty planes. I am evry disapointed well, rather furious I paid so much money and had to check in a personal item that is supposed to be free online."

Also they lied to us about problems , this is inexcusable . If any passenger come late to check in he will lose his ticket and will lose money . Airline companies should pay penalties for delaying flights , same as we do if come late ."
