They were changing over the signs for the next flight, so it still read my destination, but the time was an hour later so I thought it had been delayed."

Cons: "I got to the airport in Dallas 2 hours before my 6:55 flight, and at that very moment, received a text that the flight was delayed 3 hours. At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. I understand there was excessive wind in Denver, but there should have at least been a Frontier representative at the gate in Dallas. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."

Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."

Pros: "On Friday, July 8, at DIA airport I waited almost an hour before someone took me to my gate A42 for Flight 122 supposedly departing at 8:10 and boarding at 7:35. Finally, I had to bring this to the attention of the ticket agent as I did not want to miss my flight. Noone came and the poor overworked worker took me at 7:45 -we did not arrive at the gate until 8 o'clock (luckily the TSA checkpoints were NOT busy) and had the flight been on time, I would probably have missed it. This gentleman asked repeatedly for assistance for over 40 minutes and no one came to his aid. I panicked and I want Corporate to know they need to hire adequate help so their customers are not treated like dirt. Once I boarded, the crew was fabulous! However, I am not happy about such a horrible experience. I deserve a refund or free return ticket for my inconvenience. I have flown other airlines and have never had such a negative experience with wheelchair assistance!!!"

There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."

Cons: "I bought my ticket online for $41. I went through two long lines to get my boarding pass. At the end of the second line I was refused a pass because it was 25 minutes until flight time. I was told I had to be rebooked on another flight to the tune of $99 plus $30 baggage fee. Since I had no other choice I rebooked for a flight NINE hours later. After all this I was sent to TWO different WRONG gates nearly missing that flight. At least I got an apology for that. The wrong gate fiasco was because Frontier shares gates with Jet Blue and Spirit. I could not hear the gate change announcements because I am hearing impaired. A lovely way to spend a day in Denver!"

No one could give us any information - they just said to join the back of the line. This is a pitiful excuse for an airline with disorganized lines and no communication. Plus the desk person was so Rude and charged an arm and a leg for us going over the weight restriction. She was hateful, and wouldn’t even cut us the slightest break after we waited 2 hours. Never flying this horrible airine again. You end up being more expensive than the more expensive airlines! What a waste."

Cons: "My flight was first delayed, then had mechanical issues and when they finally got those resolved pulled away from the gates but pulled right back to the gate and were told to deplane as there was another mechanical problem. After waiting 45 minutes for another plane they cancelled the flight and sent us home with a voucher for food for the airport restaurant which was not open and a voucher for a cab ride home but not for the return to the airport. We were required to stand in line 45 minutes to rebook our flight and to get the vouchers. I tried to rebook on the phone but the customer services rep said since I boarded the plane I was not allowed to rebook over the phone."

I missed my connection at Dallas to Fort Launderdale, I stayed at the airport for 12 hours. On my way back to Phoenix they did the same thing. I went to customer service at Fort Launderdale airport to complain about it nobody cared. imagine you delayed your customer for two times and you don't want hear her/his concern?"

Cons: "Checkin was a mess. The attendants at the counter were hustling to get the people in their flights but that meant that those of us who were on time almost missed our flights after being switched from lines and having a bunch (some 25+) people skipping the line before us."

I had to wait in line again in the morning just to get a boarding pass. I tired to do it online, but that did not work either. It seems there lots of little things these people can do much better without incurring extra costs. However, management seems incapable or just does not care."

Cons: "Terrible customer service, and three hour flight delays (happens every time I've flown with Spirit) to start. I booked a non-stop flight to Phoenix from Fort Lauderdale. When I arrived at the airport I was told that actually the aircraft stopped in Dallas and continued on to Phoenix. Since I wasn't changing planes, to them its considered non-stop. There definitely was a stop. about one hour into the delay a friend of mine from Phoenix informed me that nearly all flights have been canceled in and out of Phoenix due to heat. I thought, maybe I was a lucky guy because my flight was simply delayed and not cancelled. When we boarded our flight three hours later and after all passengers were settled and seat-belted in, Spirit made a PA announcement that the flight would only be travelling to Dallas and not continuing on to Phoenix. Mind you at this point, it is literally midnight and there were families and elderly people on board. About 1 minute later an announcer came back on the PA and said, and I quote, "Don't ask us any questions about the flight and you can't get off". Everyone looked at each other like wtf is happening here. All in all, we landed in Dallas, and those of us continuing on to Phoenix were booked again on either American Airlines or Delta flight by Spirit Airlines for first thing the next morning. The worst part of the ordeal was that because it was so late when we arrived, we all had to spend the night in the airport. The Dallas-Fort Worth airport staff was kind enough to bring us military-style cots, basic pillows and sheets for us to lay down on. However, it is an airport and with the PA announcements, daylight style lights on and people walking all around you, you end up with more of a headache than any form of sleep. I will not be flying Spirit again. Please avoid at all costs. It really is not worth the time, stress or money to be manipulated and treated like garbage."

It was a big mess, they offer flight during the day with stops far away from our final destination. I will never again use Spirit airline. BTW my original ticket flight wasn't cheat, so I was expecting better service. Never never again."

Cons: "I checked into my flight at 7pm the night before my 7am flight. I drove 2 hours to the airport, parked my car, took a shuttle to the terminal and arrived at the kiosk at 6:20. I attempted to print my boarding pass because it was no longer appearing on my phone; however, the kiosk printed me out a ticket saying it was unable to print my boarding pass. When I approached a spirit employee, they told me I could no longer go to the terminal because my reservation had been canceled at 6:15 due to tardiness. In turn, the next best thing they said they could do for me was for $99 get me on the flight the next day. So due to me being 40 minutes early for my flight instead of 45 minutes I lost my reservation, had to pay $99, lost a day of vacation, and the money for my hotel tonight. Worst airline experience I've ever had."

Cons: "Spirit airlines is PATHETIC. I got to Phx airport to catch a flight to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) at 2 am. At 1230 am they told me it was cancelled. I asked why and they said "we don't know." They put me on a flight with another airline at 5 am to FLL for free so I didn't mind so much, mistakes happen. When I went to catch my FLL>PHX 4 days later they said they had no flight for me. When I asked why, after showing my itinerary ($320 round trip), they said I was a no show to my first flight. After explaining what happened they said "oh they accidentally cancelled the wrong flight then because you don't have a FLL>PHX flight but you will be reimbursed half the $320. After buying the next FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR ONE WAY FLIGHT (I'm military and needed to be back the next day) and getting back to PHX finally, I called spirit to ask what their explanation was. They said "you were displayed as a no show and you will not be receiving a refund." I payed $320 to NEVER get on one single spirit airline plane. Find a new airline"

Then paying extra for picking seat assignment, we could have flown on Southwest for about the same total price and received a free snack and beverage besides, and in comfort and not in the middle of the night. We will never fly Spirit again."

They also charge for food on the plane....about a quarter of what you pay in the airport...people are so concerned about paying a nickle for food and carry on bags, they don't see how they save time and money. great business model spirit."

I tried repeatedly to do this in the 24 hours prior to departure without success (and wasting a lot of time). Then later, while waiting in the long line at the airport to check my bags, the employees at the counter announced that their computers just went down. For 30 minutes increasingly agitated customers waited for the computers to function again so they could check their bags. This computer failure resulted in a late departure. For my return trip, again, IT competency at Spirit. Again their *&(^!&@! web site wouldn't work get me to the page to print my boarding pass."

Cons: "Pretty much the same on all legs. One thing was had to actually get my bag on one leg and re-check. Not a major issue, but when one is tired and you have to lug suitcase that is heavy, sort of a irritant, but not major issue"

Pros: "The cabin crew. They were pleasant, helpful and efficient. No complaints about them at all. The gate agent also seemed cheerful and friendly to people who had questions."
Cons: "Those are the most tragically uncomfortable airline seats I've ever sat in - ever. And I've flown local airlines in Central Asia, South America, the Caribbean, and South Asia. I know uncomfortable. No recline and no padding: I'm too old for that. My back is worth the extra couple hundred I have to pay on Delta. One other problem: I did try to upgrade to one of the front seats, which were open when I checked in the day before my flight, but the system kept declining my credit card. I tried the card out on Amazon and it worked fine, and it worked fine at dinner when I got home, so my card wasn't the problem. I don't know what the problem was with the website, but it was annoying."

Pros: "NOT A THING - I WAITED IN LINE FOR OVER THREE HOURS at the ticket counter. Two flights cancelled. Instead of re-booking those flights in separate lines, the agents had everyone in the same queued line. I will NEVER fly that airline again. I'm a former airline employee with the former US Airways now American, I was appalled at the disorganization of the agents and the airline management. I received a refund for that leg of the flight."
