They still never provided me with an email though and information allowing me to have my daughter checked in. they only provided me with her reference number."
Cons: "All in all we had a poor experience and my family and I were disappointed. I'm about to book yet another ticket for my brother, but this time I'm not considering Swiss Air. Just so you know, I'm a very positive person and appreciate every polite and courteous gesture. Unfortunately this experience didn't allow me to do so."

The aircraft itself was impeccably clean, even though it had already carried passengers elsewhere earlier in the day. The service was fantastic, and you can never go wrong with free chocolate."

We waited for a while for late passengers to board, which seemed strange, given that last time when Swiss made me miss my transfer, the next plane left without me when delaying takeoff would not have been necessary at all. After the passengers arrived, we were delayed again because of weather. And once we arrived at Newark, we had to wait for over half an hour to get to the gate for some mysterious reason."

Cons: "On the flight to Zurich the passenger behind me gave me a difficult time about reclining my seat back but keep in mind he had his reclined. Coming back to Newark the gentleman behind my boyfriend made a comment how he didn't have room due to his seat being reclined. The passenger next to us was arguing with the passenger in front of her because she didn't want that person to recline their seat back. I have never experienced such rude people on a flight and I realize this is beyond your control. It made for a very uncomfortable and stressful flight. Maybe signs can be posted or a message when booking your flight that ALL passengers have a right to recline seats and if space is an issue for your comfort then upgrade to business class for more room."

Seats (economy) a bit closer to each other relative to other planes and the armrest does not fully go up which does not allow us to use space as much as possible."

I made various attempts to solve the problem, switching headphones, switching to my own headphones (which can't really be done because they have a two-prong jack and personal headphones are always one). I tried watching different movies, programs, music...it wasn't the material I was watching that was the problem. I asked the flight attendant to reset my console. That didn't work either. I just ended up reading my book the entire 9 hour trip."

However, by the time I had finished dinner, I felt captured in my seat, It took a long time for the trays to be collected after dinner. I wished I'd brought anxiety medication. Could have been a better selection of movies."

Air Canada had to put me on completely new flights there and back. I think this has taught me to go directly through an airline. Justfly was not helpful. Neither was Turkish airlines."

The two bags did not make the Chicago/Denver transfer, but were on the next United flight an hour later."

Cons: "The flight was delayed from Athens by 1.5 hours. Crew assured us we would make our connections. When we landed no info was given. No announcements made. We were forced to clear security again, even though just transferring and, after running to our gate, found the connection had left and the gate was abandoned with no one to tell us where to go or what to do. The lack of communication and information was appalling. Most people eventually found their way through the airport to a desk that booked them on a flight the next day. It was exhausting and the Turkish staff were unsympathetic."

I saw flight attendants kicking, punching, and body slamming carts and other items to get them to fit in their racks in the kitchen areas, I hate to think what that means for safety of critical items. The first class cabin crew on our side of the plane was inattentive, though it appeared on the other half of the plane the crew was very attentive. This is one of the poorer first class seats in the industry. The "lie flat" seat is just that, a lie. It is pitched at an angle, though not as steep as some. Foot cubby is narrow and constrictive, bordering on claustrophobic."

As this was the first leg of my international flight, it would have been much better I had proper food, rather than a bag of 6 pretzels, especially since I had to be at the airport three hours earlier, and I had a six hour layover in Newark."

Cons: "The whole trip was a nightmare. I go out of my way to NOT fly United, In this case Lufthansa somehow just sold the ticket and United was flying it and as usual it was horrendous. We had to be re-routed via 3 separate flights jus to make our international connection thanks to our initial flight being moved up 2 hours EARLY. They closed the door in our faces. That added 8 hours of travel time to our trip which I had booked to minimize travel time as I was traveling with pets. United is the WORST."

They even hand out wet wipes for you before serving food, so you can feel clean! Cons: "Pretty big delay before departure, ended up in very stressful conditions for the rest of the trip. It became pretty obvious that we were cutting very close to the boarding time for our next flight (arrival scheduled for 4:05 pm and our flight to Chicago barding on 4:20 pm). One of the flight attendants kindly offered us to move up to the front seats of the plane on the last 15 minutes of the flight (with our luggage) so that we can exit as soon as possible. We moved (per his suggestions) and we were treated rudely by the young lady attendant of the Business Class. We explained that we moved after the suggestion of their other flying attendant. She called her supervisor on us, who in return, rudely, arrogantly and loudly started to berate us on how we "dared" to move ourselves to the Business class. After explaining the whole story again and showing her the tickets, she allowed us to stay to those seats for the last 10 minutes of the flight. We asked if an airport cart could be called to transfer us to the next gate, and they said no. We asked for information on the gate for Chicago and they did not provide one. Unfortunately, the plane landed very far from the gates. We had to enter the airport bus, which traveled for about 15 minutes before we got on a gate. There, we faced about 35 minutes of passport procedures and waiting lines. At that point, 5 minutes before our plane for Chicago was supposed to take off, we asked the passport pre-check officer what we should do (we assumed we would be missing the plane at that point) and he told us very rudely "When you REALLY miss your plane, then come back and ask me"!!!!!!!!! Then we passed through passport check and we were told to run to our gate (which by that time was no longer showing on the computer screen, and we knew about the changed number, ONLY because KAYAK sent the update to us-THANK YOU!!!). We ran for about 12 minutes. We arrived at our gate late by about 25 minutes after our flight was supposed to leave. There we were asked why we were running and when we told the guy who screened our boarding passes he responded "Well, running is good for your health..."!!!!! At that point I would have liked to give him a piece of my mind...We were told by the same guy that due to airport security issues, Frankfurt airport had so many delays in the last couple of weeks that planes know to wait for the late passengers. Couldn't someone have told us that before? We have NEVER been treated so poorly by an airline and we will NOT fly with them again. The LUFTHANSA customer service was terrible. We have not encountered such arrogance and lack of information for many years...Shame on them! AND we were not the only Americans running. There were families with little children and older people, etc etc, just because the Lufthansa attendants and ground crew did not feel like giving us the information we needed!!!"

Lufthansa was struggling trying to send people around that. Instead of 1-stop flight we ended on 3-stop flight, however, because of the delayed we missed the very first connection in Vienna. After standing in line for 4.5 hours we were booked for the next day and had to stay overnight in Vienna. That might sound nice in theory, but by that time it was too late (and too dark) to go anywhere. Summary: - we spent 2 days "flying" (more like standing in lines) back home. - we were rebooked twice - had to stay overnight in a hotel near airport - we were late for work Thank you, Lufthansa for at least trying to do something in this mess. I had 'only' an hour to make the connection, and yet all, that is all, formalities took no more than 10 minutes. I had plenty of time to spare. Waiting area at the gate had plenty of seating and the staff was professional and courteous. We had to gate check bags as the plane was a regional turboprop, but everything went very smoothly."

Pros: "When you travel with an infant it's already a difficult trip but it's really fraustrating when you find out that they didn't assign you to the seats with the baby bassanet, and when I went to the counter to fix the problem instead they change our window seats to an isle seats without even asking or notifying us with the changes, and they when I asked how come you don't automatically assign infant reservations to infant seats their excuse was what if there were more infants than available infant seats and they already gave out those seats with extended leg space to others who already had paid for it, and surprisingly there were multiple of infants on board none of them in those seats but rather the other passengers who paid for it, so basically they got paid extra and you will only suffer for almost 10 hrs so they can make extra profit. NEVER AGAIN AUSTRIAN AIRLINES!!!"

But not the case with Austrian The serving of it was fine. Restroom options are less than adequate too."
