The flight wasn’t full, so ended up having an entire row to ourselves. Was nice to be able to spread out.
Crew member didn’t hear me clearly when I said I didn’t want ice in my drink, then was a little rude after he poured the drinks with ice, blaming me for not telling him before. It might have been my problem for not being more clear, but would feel better if the attendant wasn’t as rude.
The over all experience was nice and the Hawaiian airlines personal was spot on for friendliness and help with my mom and her special needs and wheel chair assistance, it has made her first trip to Hawaii.
Boarding was a breeze, seats were comfortable, crew was friendly and responsive, plane was early to destination and the flight was smooth.
The food seemed old and the promised entertainment package was not available. These are minor matters to me as the point is getting safely to our destination.
The juice offered for the short flight was welcome.
Traveling partner did not have a seat assigned at check in, and even though we got to the gate an hour before boarding and asked to be able to sit together, either they forgot or were unable to make it happen. Seats assigned at checkin seem standard now, so not having one is unsettling.
