Cons: "Booked flight through British air for a reason. Didn’t anticipate American Airlines being used for our flights. The Flight was also delayed but it was never explained why despite dozens of questions from passengers. This caused a missed connection flight and forced us to stay overnight in Chicago with nothing but a $12 food voucher. When we tried t ask what other options were, American Airlines personal offered no sympathy and said the best we would get is the food vouchers and we should be grateful. No other travel reimbursement or vouchers were offered other than a replacement flight. Overall it was a huge inconvenience and caused numerous other expenditures for us."

She explained that she was unable to do anything about it. I then called American during my trip and spoke with another agent who said it was out of her hands as well and to take it up with an agent at the desk at the airport. When I checked in online, I was able to change our seats myself which was nothing that either agent even suggested. The lack of ability of these agents on the phone to help two parents traveling internationally with a toddler was unbelievable. American has terrible customer service."

Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

Instead of asking them for the name of their baby, the gate employee kept asking them for the lap child name! This occurred over and over until finally they asked for the bany's name. The lady who is from Chicago started practically wagging her finger and just saying NO! to bags that might be too large. How she did this was overly rude even when the bag fit in the metal sizer!"

Cons: "We were expected to land at 5pm and did not land until 5:20pm. Upon arrival, the line to immigration was ridiculous. The machines were super slow and kept freezing. It took an hour before we could get to the X-ray line. At this point we had already missed the original time of our flight. Luckily the flight was delayed 30 minutes. After going through the x-ray machines we ran to our gate only to find out it had been changed and delayed again. We made it to our flight which was now rescheduled to depart at 7:23pm. After sitting in the plane for 45 minutes we did not depart until 8pm making our landing 2 hours after the original time."

I had to leave it to pass through TSA to run and try to catch my flight from Houston to Chicago. When I arrived at my gate I got there just in time because they were starting to board the plane. I was uconfortable sitting between two men. I traveled alone. When we landed in Chicago, took forever to get to the gate so we can get off the plane. There was no entertainment, at least for me. My phone was way low in battery and ai couldn't watch anything."

Some people were angry about this but it wasn't their fault. How could it be? They were just repeating what they were told. It's not their fault that their organizers told them incorrect stuff. I sympathized with them more than I usually would because some passengers were such jerks to them. I appreciate that they were keeping us in the loop. We basically knew as much as they knew. It made me feel like we were all in this bad situation together, which we were. They wanted to get home, too. That was the right way to handle this. The actual flight was uneventful. Plane was clean. Seats were about as comfortable as you would expect for the price."
Cons: "Where to begin. It was delayed 1.5 hours, then we boarded, waited maybe 30 minutes, then we UNBOARDED because they needed a new plane, then it was delayed AGAIN. When we finally landed in Chicago we were about 5 hours behind schedule. I feel bad for the crew because they were left dealing with angry passengers, I know it wasn't their fault. Just poor corporate planning. In addition I did have a truly mind boggling experience with an employee. We were lined up for our first boarding, in a huge line, having waited for 1.5 hours, and suddenly a woman with multiple bags cut in line. I said "Excuse me ma'am but there IS a line" and she smiled and said "Oh, sorry, I'm an employee". I apologized and she cut everyone and boarded. That's when I realized that she was NOT WORKING THE FLIGHT. She was just using her privilege to cut in line. She cut in front and saved maybe 5 minutes. I mean, why bother. Why bother pissing off paying customers to save 5 minutes. People around me were so angry. Then she got on the flight and held everything up because she needed to load her 4 pieces of luggage into the overhead bin, taking up an entire bin. Flight crew actually moved people's bags to accommodate her. And one of her bags was a full sized suitcase that would never have been allowed if she wasn't an employee. Simply ridiculous, the only thing saving her was that there were open seats. She was not taking a seat from a paying customer. I would say that I wouldn't fly Frontier again but honestly all of the companies suck so I don't know who to pick. Every airline has some story or another of crappy customer service. I wish the barrier for entry wasn't so high so that competitors could swoop in....as much as I dislike the Elon Musk's of the world it would be great if some billionaire swooped in with their money and made an airline that actually worked."

Since carry-on bags are so pricey, perhaps purchasing one could guarantee that you're given an open seat closer to the front of the plane, or maybe just an earlier boarding zone, so as to disturb fewer folks."

Cons: "Where do I start? Going to Vegas (from Chicago), we sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes with no explanation. We finally took off after that, and no attempt was made to regain lost time. In fact, the flight took even longer after we were up than the original plan. The seats were very uncomfortable. I don't know if the seats on the return trip had more padding, but there seemed to be a noticeable difference between the two flights, not just by myself, but noticeable in the lack of squirming on the second flight by everyone else as well."

I paid extra for a specific seat, and when another passenger took it, a flight attendant gave me a hard time when I asked them to move. I was unaware that I'd have to pay $40 just for a carry on until AFTER I booked the flight, in which case I would've just chosen a better airline."

Both tickets were about the same price; both flights were at about the same time of day, and were filled about the same (almost full). But the experience with Spirit was atrocious. They take every opportunity to upsell on their website and at the kiosk (Frontier upsells too, but modestly and not in-my-face). The boarding area was messy and the boarding process was rushed and disorganized (Frontier's was...normal). And the Spirit crew was surly and unhelpful (again, the Frontier crew was...normal). Frontier is everything I expect in a cheap ticket: just plain, normal, pleasant, service."

Plane had some off issues I think with the fuel pumps or the hydraulics there was a really annoying sound for the entire flight. No wifi Not enough leg room"

Didn't arrive at my final destination on Friday till 2am. The seats on the plane, I found, to be super uncomfortable."

Flight delayed 5 hours for non existent weather, leading to 1 hour sitting on the tarmac because they didn't have a gate at the largest airport. Then, they destroyed brand new luggage."

To start, Frontier does not include any carry-ons with the flight, so either we pay $70.00 round trip for a bag or we have to shove everything we want for our trip into a "personal bag". We checked in about 24 hours before the flight and realized only after we had already waited in line for security that we needed printed paper boarding passes rather than using our phones (like every other airline). Luckily, we didn't wait until the last minute to show up, so we could go back, re-check in, wait in line for security a second time, and make it to our gate. Once boarded, things turned even worse when we realized that the seats on this Airbus were nothing more than very thin plastic with a very small amount of cushion, making the metal folding chairs from my youth seem preferable. In addition, while planes are not necessarily known for being comfortable, even the small conveniences of other planes were missing. These seats had no entertainment devices, terribly positioned armrests, a tray table that would barely hold my iPhone, no option to recline at all, and so little room ahead of us that my knees were pushed against the seat ahead of me. I was offered some respite when the flight attendant said that the flight was completely boarded but there were some exit row seats available. We were told that the attendants would "be happy to move you to a seat with a little more leg room and would be happy to swipe your card for the $50.00 charge". Really? $50.00 for an upgrade to an exit row? Generally, any flight I have been on will give a free upgrade or two if these seats are vacant. Nobody is there anyway, so why not offer them to give a sense of friendliness to your customers? You are not making any money on those seats anyway. On a roughly four hour flight, there were drinks and snacks offered, but their special was 2 cans of soda and a snack (peanuts or trail mix) for 9.00. Water, soda, and all snacks were an extra charge... Bottom line, this was a terrible experience with a terrible airline. If I have anything to say about it, I will never fly with Frontier again."

Many of the other passengers felt misled and this resulted in a number of frustrated, angry and disappointed people at check-in."

Cons: "The hidden seat assignment and carry on baggage fees were unexpectedly high (at least $11 to get a seat and $30 for a carry on bag, both one way, and apparently both fees would have been higher if I had paid at the airport). I ended up paying $88 on top of the price of the ticket, which would have been nice to know for budgeting purposes."

EVERYTHING had a cost. the crew wasn't friendly, i wasn't greeted at either flight. i will neve fly frontier and i will sharing my experience with all of my family and friends."
Cons: "We were at the Houston airport almost 3 hours before flight time, but no one was at the ticket counter. 45 minutes later the ticket agent arrived then told (not asked) us to move aside so they could check in passengers on an earlier flight. I completely understand the earlier flight thing, but common courtesy goes a long way! The gate agent was quite curt in his attempts to board people by boarding groups. The flight crew was tired, bored and just doing a job. Frontier will not be at the top of the list for future flights."
Pros: "The crew on the way back from Denver were funny and kind and extremely helpful. The flight itself was fine."
Cons: "The prices for the trip. I wish I were explained that I would have so many different prices added on to the trip price. Carry-On price, seat price, Checked bag price (why are they different prices?). Only complimentary drink is water. The trip is more ideal for a weekend trip where all you need is a backpack that can fit under the seat. Then the pricing wouldn't be so bad."

I told the attendant that I had 2 surgeries scheduled the day after and that several patients and coworkers would be inconvenienced, but both parroted that I should be at the gate at least 45 minutes, which I just barely was thanks to brutal Houston traffic. I told them that I had nothing to check in and the security line was very small and that I would easily get to the gate without risking a delay in departure. I cancelled my $9 Club su subscription tonight after incurring $220 to book on another flight tomorrow morning. I had to reschedule both surgeries because all outbound flight we're booked. I made a very reasonable request for flexibility that certainly would not that delayed the flight departure, so I won't use this airline and further will tell anyone who cares to ask not to use this airline. Oh, and my first leg of the trip was overbooked."

We had to call four times to get a refund on our flights, and the refund still has not come through, over a week later. HORRIBLY dissatisfied. I will NEVER fly Spirit again, they do not care about their customers at all, and I will not support that."

Spirit's online system changed unexplainedly changed our address without our knowledge, therefore preventing me from checking my fiance in online. I spent too much time attempting to talk to them about it over the phone, and ended up being late to leave for the airport. On the drive there, I was able to get ahold of a customer service representative on the phone who purchased my fiance's luggage, seat, and checked her in over the phone. We arrived 43 minutes before the flight, and were turned away while attempting to check in her bag, being told that she was not checked in for the flight, and it was now past the mandatory 45 minutes before flight time and would not allow her aboard. I spent the next 2 hours arguing with customer service, where they accused me of lying and said that they don't even offer to check in people over the phone. I could go on, but it was absolutely awful, and we weren't able to be placed on a flight until the next morning."

Then, they promised vouchers (2 $50 vouchers/passenger) and never even emailed me one!"

We had to wait for an available gate and didn't board until an hour after scheduled. On the way back, we also boarded over an hour late. I understand late boarding times due to weather reasons and other factors that pop up, but it just seemed like it was a regular occurrence. Please don't book more flights than you have gates available for!"
Pros: "When a plane arrives late the turn around time is amazing. Doesn't take them much time at all to get going again. Attendants and pilots were professional."
Cons: "Boarding is a mess. You may board by zones but it really doesn't seem to workout. About half the people respect the order about half do not. People cut in line when they haven't even been there waiting. Do something like Southwest and have us board by groupings. They are much smaller units and people get in their correct order. You guys can get portable ones. That would move you all up significantly in the boarding process. That is by far the worst of all categories. The ladies at the gate really can't police that, make it easy for those who are boarding by having a clear and organized process."
