Cons: I’m very surprised for the poor service.and hold the people inside the plane for an hrs before departure iin Mexico City and Guadalajara. You have to work harder to your personal goals. For good service.
Pros: short flight, fine seats
Cons: no free food or water, but thats a cultural symptom of capitalism.
Pros: great crew
Cons: more comfortable seats
Pros: Departed on time. Non-stop to PDX was appreciated
Cons: Packed in like cattle, seats were not comfortable, no WiFi

Cons: Everything. Especially fun was the thousands of mosquitoes INSIDE THE PLANE!!! Off to buy some calamine lotion.
Cons: El equipaje tardó mucho en salir
Cons: Everything went well.
Cons: Staff, food, clean, entreatment, in one word, everything
Pros: Nothing. This is like the 3rd time I fly with this airline and it’s always something.
Cons: Not having us sitting for 40 minutes because they arrived early and we couldn’t get out. If they get there early it should be something good for everyone but it’s actually the worst.
Pros: Efficient boarding
Cons: More comfortable seats
Pros: The crew was ok no contact no interest on mi is ok
Cons: The checking line ,soo bad , need much improvement!
Pros: Seat was so uncomfortable
Cons: Better seat more space
Pros: The crew was fine
Cons: My flight supposed to be $220.00 but when I got to the airport the final price was $340.00. It was rather unfortunate to learn that they lied with their online prices. It was until I was at the terminal did they start charging me for everything that was not included in the online bill.
Cons: This schedule is not for me , is too late and is not even direct , I almost miss my connection to Mexico City .
Pros: Flight attendants very helpful with luggage
Cons: Flight times changed. If I had not logged into email I would not have realized my flight actually left 45 minutes earlier
Pros: The flight was punctual.
Cons: The crew was to loud and annoying. I got a window seat without a window and was not notified (Seat 30F). If there was mention of no window seat I would have purchased a window seat.
Cons: Crew did to know how to be patients or help the guest specially when you have an infant with you
Pros: The crew
Cons: Baggage limits
Cons: Seats too hard
Cons: vender mas cervesa
Cons: You need more service options . Your flight was cancelled last minute. You could have informed us early.
Cons: Please turn on the AC it was horrible to be inside with the warm weather in Guadalajara
Pros: On time due to excessive scheduled flight times
Cons: Boarding system , expensive and low quality food for sale on board, entertainment on board, unhelpful stewardess staff, deplaning system keep us waiting for half an hour to open the airplane door at the Cancun airport gate
Cons: the cushion of seat 5E was very uncomfortable,
Pros: Recuperaron el tiempo perdido en el vuelo
Cons: Perdimos tiempo para ser trasladados a terminal remota
Cons: 5 hr delay
Pros: I don like it is a bad airli e
Cons: I don like nothing
Cons: The gate change of the flight was not properly notified.
Pros: On time
Cons: All the mosquitos that entered the plane upon boarding.
Cons: I had to pay 95 dollars per bag when they told me it would only be 60 dollars per bag , i only got them because i had no other choice.
Pros: Efficient boarding, on time departure and arrival
Cons: My knees were up against the seat in front and we're crushed when they reclined. I was able to fit in be putting my legs in the next seats area (fortunately occupied by a small boy)
Pros: Loved that there was food offers . We were so hungry. We had been awake for 24 hours an we hadn’t eaten for hours and hours .
Cons: I didnt Know there was a menu option. At start of flight no one mentioned there was a menu for food choice . I saw It after our meals were handed out . My kids got a sandwich that was Jalepeno style sauce . It was too spicy for them to eat. If i had Known by the flight attendants (by them re assuring i knew Of the spice on the sandwich ) or by being told ,about the menu earlier , I wouldnt Have ordered it . That’s the only negative thing to say . Cuz their sandwich was really spicy .
Pros: Overall flight journey was good and on time
Cons: The ground staff before we could do our boarding did not allow us to get to the counter even when informed that we had done a web check in... But she was insisting us to pay for the checkin fees to collect our boarding passses which was not professional
Pros: The direct flight and on time
Cons: Got no service from the staff called them over and over they would never come back to me after they said they would be right back
Cons: Charge way too much. Charged to pick a seat when doing check in from the app. Only reason doing check in from app was so I wouldn’t get charged for getting boarding pass at desk.
Pros: Ticket prices
Cons: On our flight back they were weighing bags as we were in line to board and charging people who had no idea their bag was over weight. The crew came off somewhat rude and annoyed when asked questions. flight left 30 minutes after scheduled departure. Food and drinks were both charged when I can pay a little more on another airline and get it for free. Lines for bag drop off are ridiculously long and not organized. Charging service fee for help to get a boarding pass is uncalled for, since many older people are traveling.
Pros: The flight was just fine
Cons: The main problem was that when I checked in online, I tried to add on more piece of luggage—for a total of 2 checked in. But the computer ended up totaling it as 3 pieces of luggage. There seemed to be no way to change this online. So I asked them to change it when I got to the airport, but they wouldn’t. What was done couldn’t be changed. Another issue I have is with this review questionnaire. They are questions for rating the food and entertainment which the airlines don’t provide anymore. These should be removed from the survey. They should, however, ask how was the process of making the reservation, check-in, and customer service in general. Both from the airline, and any third party service like kayak or kiwi. I’m not satisfied with kiwi as they were closed when I tried to call them. So I had to just fend for myself and spend money needlessly.
Pros: Punctuality, friendly flight crew
Cons: Boarding was an unorganized free-for-all
Pros: Nothing nothing
Cons: They sold my ticket to someone else even though we were in line for 3:1/2 hrs no explenation just ignorance and they dont care i will be filling a complain with consumer rights its just not right why should they get away with corruption
Pros: flight left on time
Cons: seats had fairly limited legroom. but then again the price was inexpensive so i can't complain.
Pros: The wonderful crews and the comfortable seat
Cons: Snack and drink
Pros: The pilot managed to land pretty smoothly despite the turbulence.
Cons: Wait time before take off Snacks (at least have coffee or water) Seats were uncomfortable
Pros: Boarding process was easy
Cons: Check in and fligjt info were bad, check in online was not possible and no customer svc available to assist, neither via phone nor online chat, website constantly out of order... we could only do something at the airport, long line of waiting
Pros: Staff was super friendly, nice airplane size for the amount of passengers, smooth landing from the pilot
Cons: Airplane was delayed one hour, kept switching boarding Gate from 63 to 56 to 60 and passengers were confused, nothing free inside the airplane not even water or snacks in more than 4 hours flight
Pros: The time was great
Cons: The seats are very uncomfortable especially when you’ve had back surgery.
Pros: The crew they were awesome
Cons: All was good
Pros: Frontier staff gipped us money in order to check in
Cons: Mexican staff are horrible
Pros: Boarding was smooth. Extra legroom sets were way nice!
Cons: Give a snack and a drink for crying out loud!
Pros: Smooth flight excellent landing.
Pros: I paid extra for a legroom seat on one of their newer planes. The plane was full so it still seemed very crowded in these COVID days.
Cons: The people next to me ate a lot of food throughout the flight which required taking off the mask and discussing the food. It felt impossible to social distance more than 2 inches.
Cons: Boarding could be better. It’s could be organized.
Cons: Good service
Pros: That I made it there in one piece.
Cons: Not worth saving a couple dollars. Front tier airlines does not allow you to pick your seats before hand nor does it allow you to select baggage and the app, it is recessed for whatever reason. The seats are extremely tiny the tree table is so small you can barely fit an English muffin on it. There is no entertainment whatsoever, there is no Internet on the plane, and if you want anything to eat or drink besides water you will be paying for it. I’m sorry to say but flying on frontier was more like a punishment for me. I always fly American and wanted to save a few dollars what a mistake! With American most the planes that I have flown in have free movie entertainment and everybody seat the seats are comfortable And recline. And the snacks are free along with the soda. Please think twice before flying frontier.
Pros: The two flights were smooth.
Cons: My flight was cancelled and me amongst other passengers did not get a voucher for a hotel. So I spent 18h at the SFO airport. My layover in Denver had originally been 2h this time it was 9h. By the time I finally got to Phoenix I have been travelling for over 29h. On top of it all I was charged $45 each, for my baggage as well as my backpack ($90) which I found rediculous!
Pros: Do people write here for frontier?
Cons: Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport.
Cons: I did not like paying for checking in a bag and paying for the seat if you check in early.
Cons: My seat was not worth an extra $50. Sat next to a lady with a stinky dog in her lap that was probably a little too big for lap.
Cons: Frontier seats are minimally padded and do not recline. It's difficult to sit in them for more than a couple of hours. Our 3.5 hour flight turned into a 7 hour flight after being unable to land because of storm conditions, circling for over an hour, and being rerouted to land at another airport for refueling before finally heading to our destination. It has been a week and our backs are still bothering us. We flew Frontier because it looked cheaper but after paying for luggage, seats, and food we would have been way better off to have flown on Southwest. We will never fly Frontier again.
Cons: Air bondage the seats were thin and uncomfortable they look like my daughters play school set .we were jammed in like crayons in a box .carpet , seats window Tray tables were a filthy and the tray table was so small , there was not enough room on it to hold a glass . The flight was 14 hours late coming in to den , plane broke down and do you they would help you ,,,nope your on your own . Missed a 70 th birthday party . I used to fly frontier exclusively the customer service wa great the plans clean with entertainment in the seat back . now it's like riding in an upholstered sewage pip With all the delux amenities of the DMV .by the time they up charge , you could have trvailed on real airline .
Pros: The crew
Cons: Biggest regret buying this "discounted" ticket. Not a real discount. Found out there were a bunch of hidden fees when I was checking in. They charge $60 for the checked bag EACH WAY and was super shocked they charge for a CARRYON!! Unbelievable. None of the regular seats recline whatsoever unless you pay more hidden fees just to have your seat not be straight up the entire time, and there is no front table to put a computer. To save another dime, they installed some super cheap 6 inch x 3 inch mini ledges that they call tables. I'll NEVER fly with Frontier again. They also refused to let me check in early so I had to sit and wait for hours since they refused to give me a boarding pass until I came all the way back to ticketing exactly and only exactly at 2 hours before boarding. Worst flight. A total shame since the crew was incredibly nice.
Cons: Called in to book and the agent booked my trip backwards. They would not reimburse full unless I rebooked that moment so they only did half which I have to use in 90 days
Pros: Went off on time and early arrival
Cons: Bit of turbulence
Pros: The baggage claim girl in Atlanta was Wonderful she was very pleasant to me and my boyfriend and expressed a genuine concern about my unfortunate circumstance. Mariah (Frontire baggage claim girl) did everything she could to make sure I got my Bag back and called as soon as it arrived Thanks Mariah !!!!
Cons: They lost my bags I was flying to Atlanta from Phoenix and my bag ended up in St Louis ... i would assume that if your going to make me pay for my checked bag it would atleast make it to the correct destination. The crew wasn't as pleasant and friendly as I'd like them to be but did there jobs (I guess) then we had to sit and wait for a gate .... the only reason why a gate finally opened up was because people started asking for snacks. Overall there was nothing special about this flight I was upset that I didn't have my luggage from the beggening of my trip but the day before I left my bag was recovered . The ticket was inexpensive but I'm not sure if it was worth the hasstle Then I had to pay for my bags coming back as well. Suggestion maybe have a 50% voucher ad a courtesy from sending a bag to the wrong destination.
Pros: Buying their bundle through Frontiers website that includes a checked bag, a carry-on, a seat, and zone one boarding was worth it for this airline.
Cons: The plane was definitely older and there was trash and something sticky all in and around my seat. The flight attendants were very stuck up and played on their tablets and phones for the duration of the flight, ate pizza, and looked to be drinking too. Not much customer help, but that's also because no complimentary items are given through frontier, no even a half cup of soda. There are no bonus features on board like wi-fi or tv's on seat backs to order tv or movies. The price of flight was offset by the cost of bags and seat, so I ended up paying the same as I would have via United. I will not be flyin Frontier again.
Cons: My family along with another family flew to Cancun for New Years vacation. The plane leaving from Denver was one hour late, boarding took forever and there was no communication regarding the issues. At least someone could have explained what was going on or why it was running late as to not leave us guessing. Upon our arrival in Cancun, my husband Never received his luggage. We filed a report and waited for it to arrive day after day. My husband spent HOURS of his vacation time trying to track down his luggage with little help. He spent HOURS on hold with Frontier which was also very frustrating to my family and our friends. His mother also made calls to Frontier with the same frustration and with no answers. My husband had medicine in his luggage along with all his clothes, many that were purchased for this trip as we don't travel often. We then had to spend lots of time and at least $800 purchasing new clothes--which was only a few t-shirts and a pair of shorts so he could enjoy the beach and our adventures. I could continue to complain, however, I refuse to waste anymore of my time with Frontier. Unfortunately this has been BY FAR the WORST Customer Service we have ever received. We are not ones to complain and have often given excellent customer service reviews. I am just thankful we made it there and back safely as that became a concern to us as well. I would highly recommend spending your money and time with another airline.
Pros: It was cheap!
Cons: It was cheap. You get what you pay for... I had forgot that there were absolutely NO additional frills with this airline... You get one cup of water and absolutely nothing else. The staff was a nice as can be expected, but didn't look like anyone wanted to be there. And when my husband asked for some hot tea (thinking it would be complimentary - it was not), they got very frustrated. But I would guess they're just victims of their circumstances, so no hard feelings... Still, wouldn't recommend unless you're on an extreme budget.
Pros: The crew on the flight out of Detroit were pleasant and professional.
Cons: The attendants in the airport at DTW weren't very friendly and throw luggage on the conveyor belt not taking into consideration people's belongings. Also the cost of bags and having to pay additionally for the seat is ridiculous. I would have rather pay a little more for a ticket for a nicer plane and be able to take my carry-on And my purse for free. I actually payed more with the cost of a ticket, bags and seat than a flight out with another airline. Both flights I took PHX-DTW and back were both significantly delayed. The seats were uncomfortable and tight. This is the first and last time flying with Frontier airlines.
Pros: Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter).
Pros: I missed my first flight back to Phoenix and a sipervisor rescheduled me for a later flight. She was amazing and wonderful as there were no extra charges. She also helped me with handicapped transport around the airport. The man who got me from the counter to the gate stopped at a restaurant so I could grab some food as I didn't have any time to eat during the day. However all 3 flights were pushed back with the last over 2 hours late. I didn't get home until well after 2 am. Should have gotten home by 11:30 pm. Colleen
Pros: That they waited for a plane to get in and take the passengers who were already booked. Between the holidays and bad weather, it was the right thing to do.
Pros: Leaving and landing on time.
Cons: Waiting forever while only two people did check in. The fact the carry on's cost more than checked bags or that they both cost so much.
Cons: Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam.
Pros: I did not like anything
Cons: Passengers were kept on the plane for 3hours before the captain made a decision to let the passengers off. the flight attendants were rude and lacked compassion for the passengers discomfort. Passengers were not offered any complimentary beverages or snacks to compensate for the inconvenience. Limited clarity was given concerning steps needed to board the next flight. The seats are hard, uncomfortable and do not recline. This is not my first negative experience with frontier but it will be the last.
Pros: I didn't like anything about traveling with Frontier.
Cons: Upcharge for Seats, Upcharge for Checked Bags, Upcharge for Carry Ons, Upcharge for Water. They charge you for water. That seems illegal. The flight was delayed, the gate was changed. We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak.
Pros: Co-pilot who had to explain to passengers why so many flaws occurred in this flight, she tried to be humorous.
Cons: Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!
Pros: The flights went fine, and were mostly on-time, just a little delay leaving Chicago because the incoming flight had to wait for a gate to open up
Cons: Frontier's customer service line is horrible, with no clear option to reach a person to ask questions of without hunting through every option. Also, they charged me to pick a seat, ANY seat, so what the hell am I paying for when I pay for a flight?! I also had to put my backpack under my seat, even though it was stated numerous times on their website that it would be too big, and I had to pay $40 to make it a carry-on, when there was no room in the overhead bins. Their customer service line AND website stated I could be charged up to DOUBLE that ($80) if I had to pay for it at the gate. I looked it up, and I would have payed less on at least two other carriers because of the extra charges. This is information that should CLEARLY be stated when listing the costs of a flight, not "covered" under "additional costs may apply" or some such legalese
Cons: I bought a plane ticket and then had to pay for a seat on top of that, as well as exorbitant charges for bags, and we ended up paying far more than even the plane ticket for all the extra charges. If I buy a plane ticket, that price is what I am expecting to pay. I understand a few charges here and there, but more than double what I expected to pay is completely crooked and terrible business. The plane ride was bare bones, uncomfortable seats, and average service. We will never be flying Frontier again.
Pros: Except for my "complaint," I thought the flight was fine. People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat (upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense). The monkey white wine was good and the flight attendant was witty and helpful. Thanks!
Cons: The only thing that caused me some concern was that the ATL gate on the printed ticket read 1 but the actual departure gate was 1A. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket. Thanks.
Cons: All flights were delayed, my luggage was lost, the only airline where soda cost money.
Pros: The crew was not helpful
Cons: Flying a different airline
Cons: Seats are very tight for anyone over 5'8
Pros: Seats were very comfortable. Crew was very helpful.
Cons: Allow me to use my ported and filtered mask.
Pros: Honestly nothing. Plane was so uncomfortable
Cons: Make seats for normal ppl. And trays for normal ppl. Thwy are pointless. Armrest are too low. The entire set up is uncomfortable.
Cons: The flight attendants were rude to customers
Pros: The crew was great.
Cons: The check in. Please don’t ask me to get my boarding pass at the Kiosk when my party was successfully able to get theirs on the same reservation. Furthermore after you direct me towards kiosk, don’t let me get in the kiosk only to have the reservation not found and have to wait in line. The purpose of online check in is to avoid that mess.
Cons: seats were very uncomfortable
Pros: On time departures and crew was very professional
Cons: I wish that Spirit gave some kind of complimentary snacks/drinks for people that pay more money for the “Bug Seats” (like a business class style seat)
Pros: It was fast and nice.
Cons: Lost our luggage. No help at terminal
Pros: Crew was attentive and friendly
Pros: Boarding was quick and efficient !
Cons: Not having to wait almost an hour after landing to find a get and get off board.
Pros: Flight from MSP to PHX was delayed an hour, which messed up our transportation down there. Minimal word was given, at time of boarding they then delayed 30 min, then when that time expired they added another 30. VERY UNORGINIZED, and unprofessional. Terrible service, terrible airline, don't be tricked by 5% cheaper fairs... they suck!
Cons: They canceled our flight home from PHX to MSP, they blamed weather in DFW, which is bull, there were many other airlines flying out of DFW that morning. Because they blamed weather, there was no compensation for screwed up schedules. The next available flight was 2.5 DAYS later!! no other options, it was ridiculous... they were no help to get rebooked on another airline, or even driving to another airport... horrible all around. We ended up driving to Mesa Gateway, flying Alegiant Air to Fargo, renting a car, driving 5.5 hours back to MSP to get our car, then 2.5 hours home again. But it's all good, Spirit refunded that leg of our fare... $220... we spent over $750 to get home by 1am, when we should have been there by early afternoon. DONT EVER FLY SPIRIT - THEY'RE THE WORST...
Pros: When he go down slowly so I'm not feeling nothing and that's very good Thanks
Pros: Flight was smooth. Paying for carry on meant less people are bringing carry one luggages hence faster boarding and deplaning.
Pros: Brand new airplanes, and pleasant stewards.
Cons: Over two hour delays waiting to board going both ways. In both cases the planes and cabin crew were on site but waiting for pilots. Apparently the pilots are suffering from 'blue flu' because they're not getting paid as much as other airline pilots, so they're intentionally calling in sick at the last minute. If the pilots keep this up they won't have airline to work for. Also didn't like that you pay for ANY luggage (even one carry on bag). By the time you pay for the add on fees your right back at the same price as other airlines. Then you add the time delays on, and your losing out. Won't be flying this airline again.
Cons: I need you to confirm me whether I purchased a round trip or a one-way. When I got to the spirit counter in Cancun, the staff lady told me she could not find my name, number or anything that would let her know that I had bought a return flight to Atlanta on spirit airlines. I don't see how I could have made that mistake so please tell me if I did purchase a round trip ticket. To make a long story short, I had to purchase a new ticket on another airline in order to get home to Atlanta last night. Please communicate with me as soon as possible and clarify this mess. My email is email@example.com and phone is 662-352-1682. Thanks
Pros: Honestly, there was nothing to like.
Cons: I can't give it a rating because they cancelled the flight and had nothing to book us on. Waited over 3hrs before they finally found me something. Gave me a hotel voucher but when I finally got to the hotel, they had no rooms. The transportation to the hotel cost a fortune because the hotel shuttle would not pick up the phone. They finally put me in a room with someone else from my flight. I got 60 min of sleep before having to return to airport. I'm a 49 yr old woman that flies often and this was by far the worst flight/airline experience that I've ever had. And, the lady at the hotel kept my food vouchers so I didn't even get to eat the next day.
Pros: We boarded quickly
Cons: The entire 1.5 hour flight. After a week ling honey moon vacation with my wufe in cancun, we were blessed to listen to 5 twenty something year olds discuss there latest and greatest bar hoping technique, drunkin excursions, and sexual escapades. It was honestly embarassing and at the same turn i purchased the upgraded seats to be away from non sense on the plane.. Those 5 stewards made my wife and i feel like we were sitting a bar poolside back in cancun on the strip. Not only that but these 5 stewards stayed in the very front of the plane, by my seat, talkin and eating their lunches the entire 90 minutes flight. Had this flight been longer than 90 minutes i may have actually said something to these vwry unprofessional new comers. Spirit airlines need to do some serious management control and better vetting of employees.. Will never fly spirit again. Seirously a very sad representation of their airlines.
Cons: When arrived I had to pay 10 dollars to print my boarding pass. I then had to pay $50 dollars to check my bag. I went to my gate and my flight was delayed. Not a big issue it was just delayed by 45 min. Once we boarded we sat there for about 30 to 40 min just to be told the pilot never showed. So they pulled us off the plane. We were then told that they had another pilot coming but it's going to be 2 hours. I was delayed 4 hours not beacuse of weather or plain issue but beacuse the airline could not keep there schedules in order. How did they not know a pilot was not going to show. How annoying it was to load on a plane to be pulled off again and loaded on again. Worst flight I have ever had and after all that they did not provide a complementary drink or even offer to refund my bag check beacuse of the huge mistake on thee behalf.
Pros: it was sufficient
Cons: charged for bag at check in.
Pros: Plane has more leg room than most other airlines.
Cons: General ticket prices are so cheap because the airline doesn't openly broadcast their policy about carry on and checked bag fees. These are more expensive than any other airline I've flown with. I've never heard of an airline charge for carry on baggage which was very disappointing to say the least. This flight was a basic "no frills" trip, meaning that you get the bare minimum snacks, with a tiny seatback tray that isn't even big enough to hold an iPad. Won't be flying with Spirit Airlines again.
Pros: Plane was new, cleaner, and roomier.
Cons: Plane was old, seat (exit) worn out, cushion was short and hard, i.e. No cushion. Flight was Del aid, gate attendant gave no update as to why until 30 minutes after boarding time. And it was jetway attendant that made the announcement. Cabin flight crew looked tired. Cabin lines to bright during boarding and prior to landing. Plane needs to be retired, old and uncomfortable.
Pros: The crew was very nice and provided a bit of comedy whenever they were speaking on the intercom.
Cons: We were flying from Cancun back to the states and had a 1.5 hour layover before our next flight. I have travelled abroad a few times and understand that customs can take a while, but the employees from Spirit that were trying to organize passengers entering customs were completely clueless about what they were doing. We ended up missing our connection and had to spend the night where we were. The only thing that was offered to us to help pay for the hotel was a voucher for the most expensive hotels in the area. Not only that but our carry-on bags cost us $200 for the entire trip, so make sure you take bag prices into account when flying with Spirit. Overall this was a very frustrating experience.
Pros: Yes it was a great experience and a great price for the flight !
Pros: i have flown spirit multiple times out of phoenix in all kinds of weather and not once has it ever taken off on time! once the airline attendant even yelled at the passengers upon arrival at the gate like we were all children. I decided to check the status today instead of waiting in the airport for four hours and yes--- again it was delayed one hour and then two hours. so I planed accordingly and planned to be at the airport 1.5 hours ahead of the revised flight time. then they changed the flight time again and now I've missed my flight. this airline is absolutely the worst and I have flown domestically and internationally for over 35 years. I'm done with you spirit!
Pros: Honestly I didn't like anything about it. The flight itself was fine but charging for everything including checking luggage, $55, and carry on's, $52, was so expensive. I don't have issues with affording flying expenses but I don't expect to pay this kind of money without being informed when I purchase my ticket. NONE of this was explained in the purchase part of the ticket. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER fly this airline again. I fly all the time for business and family related matters and have never had this type of expenses included in my flight. I am not a frugal person but this is ridiculous. Domestic flights will be only on airlines that do not charge for these things i.e. checking bags and pretzels for Christ sake. Spirit never! Thank you. Call me Chuck Fantastic.
Pros: The fact that the plane and flight was on time. After our horrible experience going from Phoenix to Denver, we thought we'd NEVER use Spirit again. This return flight was a normal one and we might try them again.
Pros: Hadto pay for my carry on bag..that expense was not expressed to me prior to check in and put me in a hole never flying this airline again
Cons: I don't mind the bare fare, a-la-carte pricing. Its different but once I understood it, I could manage. On my flight to Ft. Lauderdale from Denver, I witnessed a male flight attendant being exceptionally rude to every person passing him while entering the plane. He then proceeded to belittle and talk down to each customer he talked to about moving jackets and correct placement of personal vs. carry on items. There was plenty of room in overhead bins once the plane was loaded. This flight attendant, talked to people as if we knew have rule he did and if they didn't he became aggressive and rude. At one point an older gentleman in his late 60's questioned what the rude flight attendant was saying and the attendant snapped. He screamed at the man and then threatened to have him removed for challenging what he said. I was afraid to ask for water or to even stand up because of how your flight attendant responded to an honest question. I have been flying for 30years and have never experienced such vile behavior on an airplane. The male flight attendant had brown hair was around 6ft tall, not big but not in good shape and wore glasses. I hope that he never is able to threaten people in flight again. The atrocious behavior i witnessed, has me never wanting to fly with spirit again. On the way home from Mexico, our flights were timed 1hr apart but yet it took 2+ hrs to go through customs. Do to this poor planning on behalf of spirit, we missed our flight and had to spend another unexpected night in Florida. I incurred charges for taxis, hotels, expensive food and missing work. When I spoke with spirit staff members they refused to help. One suggested I should pay money for a new flight. Its took me 5 employees to finally find someone who offered to fix the flights for the next day for no extra cost. I was offered no compensation for my inconvenience and time.
Pros: The crew was sympathetic to us when we arrived with a carry on bag that we had no idea was a charge - they were nice and considerate about explaining Spirit's appalling charges.
Cons: Spirit Air is so full of fraudulent business practices where do I start? You buy a ticket thinking you are getting a great deal, until you realize you have to pay for EVERYTHING: your carry on, your bags (OH, and they only have a 40lb limit, beware), your seat, and so much more. They are not helpful at check in and honestly don't want people to even have to deal with their agents (do it all online) and charge you $10 extra if you do need to speak to an agent. They are terrible. Food is expensive and they don't give you ANYTHING as a courtesy. I can't believe they are actually making money - but they do it because we all buy a ticket thinking it is a great deal only to find out we have to pay all the fees. I think KAYAK needs to REALLY consider if this is a business they want to promote as a low cost airline.
Cons: Sprit did not charge anything for one personal carry on bag from Phoenix to LAX but on my return flight they did not say anything at aquiring boarding pass .When boarding was pulled out of line and slapped with a 100 dollar charge to carry my one bag that has fit on all overhead carry space for all major carriers that I have Never had to pay for the last 10 years
Pros: The staff on the flight were very nice.
Cons: Where to start... I understand the concept of a base fee and you pay a la carte for everything else but this only really works for a single person traveling with a small personal item ONLY. You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!
Pros: I went to the wrong terminal and ended up missing my flight. The people at the check-in counter said my seat had been given away, they could not reroute me with their computer system, and I had to call Reservations. I did so, was put on hold for several long stretches, and ultimately told that not only could I not get on another outbound flight without purchasing a brand-new ticket, but my return flight was now nullified and I would have buy that again too. Despite how distraught I obviously was, Spirit was unwilling to do anything to assuage the situation. I wasted an hour on the phone in the airport and ended up having to drive to LA through traffic on my birthday. A terrible experience. Never again. Will fly Southwest.
Cons: Employees are not empowered to work toward customer satisfaction. Whether it's a computer system constraint or "policy" company line, Customer Service does not have the ability/inclination to solve problems and help customers.
Cons: Careful with spirit random sitting politics. Recently I bought a ticket with spirit with random seats. I did my check in the night before my flight as usual and the next day I got to the airport they told me Spirit have this article in the "contract" that typically flights are oversell. So basically, if you buy random seats, and appear at the last 5 peopleto check in, you might loose your flight.
Pros: Stewardesses very nice, nice plane. A little bigger than I am used to on these flights which I take quite often.
Cons: Charge for carry on, charge for my spouse and I to sit together, which is ridiculous. I will not fly Spirit anymore.
Cons: We prepaid luggage on-line and the check in at counter still took 30 minutes because employee at counter couldn't see proof on her end that we had pre paid. We traveled with our three kids under 8 and they would do nothing to seat us next to each other. We couldn't check in on-line so we were considered late check in, despite checking in at the airport 2 hours before the flight. We boarded and sat on the plane for an hour then deplaned due to faulty weather radar. 3 hour delay. Still no help to seat our family together. Very swaying and bumpy take off and landing. Seats don't recline. No drinks or snacks passed out, only for a charge. Cheapest airline ever. Will never fly again on Spirit. Flight home also delayed over an hour. Oh, and luggage max is 40, not 50 lbs., and they charge per bag per direction. They also charge you to book seats next to each other, despite us booking our flights months in advance and checking in 2 hours prior.
Cons: The flight was cancelled and they took forever to rebook us. We weren't given vouchers or anything to make up for the trouble. I won't be flying with Spirit again
Pros: The only part about this flight experience I enjoyed was the clever way the flight attendants did their introduction/safety announcement before takeoff.
Cons: I waited in line to check in for 1.5 hours where they then told me I was too late and asked me to sign a piece of paper without at all explaining to me that my bag would have to go on the next flight. I am lucky I asked first because they had to make a special call for me since I couldn't wait at the airport for it at my destination. If I did not ask I would have been completely screwed up! I then waited in security for 45 minutes. My flight got delayed about 3.5 hours Total before actually taking off. I flew from LAX to PHX. I will never in a million years ever fly spirit airlines again.
Cons: I checked in on my phone the night before and took a screen shot of the boarding pass once the "print boarding pass" automatically opened. After waiting in the security line at Denver International for 25 minutes I got to the front and tried to scan my phone on the TSA machine and was informed Spirit doesn't use mobile boarding passes (the one I had saved is not able to be read by TSA machine)! I had to go all the way to the ticket counter for a paper boarding pass and almost missed my flight. It's 2016 and Spirit does not use mobile passes...so lame.
Cons: Multiple I mean multiple hidden fees. We ended up paying a price equal to the cost of other major airlines such as United. Arrived for our 730am flight on time. 5 minutes before the flight was about to board they announced the flight was delayed for 3 plus hrs. Then to be cancelled. Next available flight at 7pm. Keep in mind when we got to the airport the plane was already at the gate when we returned to board the plane was gone.
Cons: Our flight home was cancelled "because the pilot didn't want to fly" on an 11pm flight. Chaos ensued and we ran for the ticketing gate. We arrived 4th in line. We were assured we would be ticketed "in order" and we had asked for the earliest flight back. Needless to say, we were NOT given an early flight, yet others after us were. There was no refund issued for baggage and this process took 2 and a half hours--remember, we were at the front. There was rudeness to many upset or frustrated passengers from the staff that seemed unwilling to assist people to the best of their abilities. More so seeming more agitated than the sleepless passengers. NEVER save a little money by taking this airline!! There are many reasons this airline has 1 star ratings!!!
Pros: The flight was cancelled dye to "unexpected weather iin Colorado" however after talking to a different airline and also a friend who flew to CO, I know it was bullshit. The weather in CO was perfect an my flight was canceled because Spirit airlines couldnt fill the flight. That is NOT MY PROBLEM and I shouldn't suffer for this. I do a lot of travel and have NEVER has a canceled flight. I used to fly between PHX and LA frequently and have been on next to empty flights but I have never been held responsible for the airlines inability to get business. I will NEVER book a flight through Spirit EVER again!!

Cons: Charging $35 to carry a bag into a plane. Seriously. No customer service, no anything. I've gone on cheap flights before, these guys stripped waaay too much out.
Pros: Nothing. Flight was cancelled. That was just the beginning of a travel nightmare. I can't believe Kayak compromises their reputation by representing a shoddy, sham of a business like Spirit.
Cons: Cancelled flight at the very last minute because of lack of crew. Not enough staff to accommodate travellers trying to rebook flights. Inept and apathetic staff who were obviously resigned to the fact that Spirit is a substandard airline There was miscommunication and lack of communication in organizing travelers which caused multiple altercations between upset travelers. It was a very disturbing experience. My rebooking took an hour because the staff member didn't know how to rebook! The 'Supervisor' who was at the next desk, was SLOWLY checking bags for other customers and did not help AT ALL. I suggested that he switch places with my agent. He ignored me competely. Attempts to call Spirit resulted in multiple auto transfers and ultimately an intentional auto cut off. I was rebooked on United. When I checked in at their desk, they told me that all the other transferred Spirit customers before me had been sent back to the Spirit Desk because their transfers had not gone through. I have been warned about Spirit. Now I would warn anyone considering Spirit. If it goes right, you're ok. If not, get ready for a travel nightmare. No one needs this kind of abuse.
