Cons: in Guadalajara, during boarding the cabin was inundated with mosquitoes (I mean not just a few, but many hundred at least). Passengers were simultaneously swatting mosquitoes from the first row to the last row. The mosquitoes then joined us for the duration of the flight; well many of them were swatted as evidenced by the bloody mosquito parts left on the walls and overhead bins. I don't blame the cabin crew for this event, especially since they had to endure it as well. However the attitude was that things like this are just part of flying these days, along with lousy food and shrinking leg room. I guess that's the truth of it though. Also not to be over-reactive but there is a public health component to this; Mexico had 805 cases of zika in 2017. And although in general we may be more at risk from a local mosquito that has fed on an already infected tourist, we should make an attempt to limit the introduction of any infectious vectors..
Cons: No options for vegetarians when food was handed out. I asked if they had the food for purchase and they said no on a 2+hour flight.
Pros: This was the first time flying for my granddaughter. She is 16 and was a little apprehensive to fly. The pilot & crew were very kind and welcoming. They provided a peaceful setting with their warm smiles & welcoming greetings. She commented about being greeted as she boarded the plane & being thanked as we said our good-byes. This was a trip she'll always remember. Thank you, Alaska Airlines!

It may be I'm seeing things that are not there, but I believe most airlines currently traveling into Mexico treat their passengers like cattle. I rank Alaska on the positive high end of this, but it could do better.

(the person next to me asked for a water in first class and was given a glass of water and told that's all we have) it was said in a really rude way and almost thrown at him not cool Ex. ( old couple was in need to use the restroom and asked for some assistance and she was really rude to them cause they needed here help to get up. again not cool if she was not having a good day then she should not have came in to work.

Cons: At the airport Aeromexico counter, passangers were not told to get a boarding pass from the Alaska counter. They were only told that no flight existed from Aeromexico, when they could have been given clear communication about connecting with Alaska as the carrier.

Pros: Leg room is better than other airlines, great crew at GDL ticket counters, complimentary tamale (though not the best, they were good and it was a pleasant surprise), complimentary beverages, charging outlet, plenty of bathrooms (3), overall great experience.
Cons: Two flight attendants were talking at the back of the plane. They were loud and unprofessional. Nothing racy, but joking about things like life vests and the plane going down is not something I enjoyed hearing. Just keep it professional and lower your voice. Other than that, all was good.

I saw no sanitizing on any of the three flights I had to take to get to Detroit. of the four airports only the one in Guadalajara asked any health questions and could be seen sanitizing the waiting room and eliminating seats to keep spacing.

(My day didn't end until I'd been up more than 32 hours.) Crew from the late arriving flight should have announced the connecting flight delay well before landing at DFW. The flight should have been held for 20 minutes, as it appeared that the majority of the passengers affected were able to clear customs and arrive at the gate in time. Headphone jack had a very poor connection. Plane was dirty.

Cons: One hour delay on account of missing signatures from some mechanic according to the captain’s weak and shallow account of the facts. Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. Instead, the bozo at the Admiral’s Club entrance in Terminal A A23 indicated that only Mexico City passengers were allowed into the Club even if as a GDL passenger I had a 1st class boarding pass. Poor and misguided management of the moment of truth on behalf of your employee with a 1 Million Miler customer. My experience recently with Delta and United has been with more open minded, customer centric and better trained airline staff. Disappointing and hope someone will read this and let me know that my note was heard. What is next?

Pros: On time boarding. However we had about an hour departure delay due to de-ice of the plane due to ice storm which just started but I am not complaining about that. I would rather the plane was completely safe for departure.
Cons: We have to gate check roller bags due to size of plane. Also, little or no knee room. My knees were pressed into the seat back in front of me.
Pros: On this flight back to Arizona they arrayed mutt husband and I together, unlike on our way to Spokane. That was much better. We had more leg room this time.
Cons: The seats are hard, fine for young people, but difficult for older people with arthritis and Auto immune diseases, such as fibromyalgia.
Cons: For an obviously new aircraft the space between rows was horrendous. I am 5ft4in tall and when I sat down my knees touched the seat in front of me. When the passenger in front of me tilted his seat back I couldn’t even cross my legs! I like Qantas but I have learned to abhor American Airlines (which operated this flight), next time I will probably use Air New Zealand purely because of the seat situation.

The first cancelation caused me to buy new tickets at a higher price I had originally purchased them at. We were redirected from Kayak to Vayamo and they have no sense of customer service. Horrible

Cons: the food was not good. it was not hot. the sound system was not good. the plane's screens were too far away. the earphones were a joke and did not fit well in the ear....plus no crew member came around offering them-I had to ask for them.

Willing to assist us if we needed assistance. they got us seated straight away, and we were off, they brought the beverage cart out straight away, offered us a snack of pretzels and a drink. it was pretty quiet on the flight a lot of tired people who just came from an international flight and just wanting to get home. both flights were on time. I haven't one bad thing to say about American Airlines

Guess they had better seats. It should be a law that all airline employees from the CEO on down should only be able to fly in coach. Maybe then the seats will get better.

Cons: The 10:50 PM flight was delayed beyond midnight with no prior indication. The reason given was the flight from Dallas delayed due to weather. This looks childish. Why not pay for inconvenience. Is our time and hardship so invaluable?
Cons: Only suggestion would be to make the connection process a little easier. If the passenger doesn't speak English, the fact you need to print the international ticket in Miami, then re-enter at checkpoint might create confusion.
Cons: The flight was cancelled. this is the third flight that has been cancelled to this destination. I waited for 7 hours in the airport and caught a flight on stand by. Because this has happended to me before I knew how to get a stand by ticket right away even though I was scheduled on a flight for later that day. Much later.

Cons: American Airlines seemed to be out of sorts on both days of the trip. My connecting flight seat was not assigned until I got to my connecting airport. On the way back, we sat in the plane for over half an hour with no explanation. We then had to de-plane due to engine issues. The attendants at the counter were not that efficient with rescheduling itineraries, as they were often taking breaks, engaging in chit-chat with other workers, and answering personal phone calls during the process. On the connecting flight back, the ground crew "was not ready" for the plane and advised us to "hang out". This made for very little time in finding my connecting flight home (especially because the assigned gate was not even listed in the airport terminal). Not overly dramatic. Just a lot of small things that culminated in a very frustrating travel day. I will likely be avoiding American Airlines in the future.
Pros: I did not like have to stay in a hotel room when I could be sleeping in my room I'm on medication I don't even have my medicine with me because American Airlines had engine trouble in Dallas we went back to the Terminal 3 times before they ever got it fixed slit throat me late getting into Seattle and I missed the flight to Yakima I don't feel that this was my fault I didn't nothing to delay the airplanes and I walked as fast as I could to the terminal on in Seattle so I didn't have such a pleasure to little trip but your airline get put me up in a hotel but it's still not does not change the fact I have my blood pressure medicine and about 10 other medications but my blood pressure is the biggest and I will think twice before I fly Alaska Airlines again
