Cons: Flight was cancelled due to crew issues
Pros: Check in and flight had ample space. Very relaxing.
Pros: Good chill crew
Cons: Rude crew
Cons: Trip was great!
Pros: Fast quick and Easy
Pros: Seat was fine, Boarding went Smooth
Cons: Boarded late due to Maintenance request. Maintenance fixed it immediately, but then took over an hour to get the paperwork. Left 1:40 late, got in well after Midnight (should have been 10:30pm).
Cons: Flight was delayed by an hour
Pros: Although departure was delayed, we arrived early!
Pros: Small space but pretty comfortable.
Pros: Plenty of room, excellent service, relaxing flight.
Cons: Wish it was a longer flight.
Cons: Flight was too expensive
Pros: One of our baggage damaged. We reported to Alaska airline worker, she said wear and tear, they don't cover. we had to keep talking and took picture to made a claim.
Cons: Cabin crew was excellent
Pros: Seat comfort
Cons: Nothing much
Pros: Crew was superior in service and in politeness. With a bit of humor too. Love the leg room of my exit row seat.
Pros: Relaxed, comfortable
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Pros: Crew was amazing and so polite. Seats are really comfortable.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Pros: Flight was smooth & on time
Cons: Ground crew at SannJose war below standards, long delay with a couple ‘laps’ because ground team wasn’t ready.
Cons: Breakfast was incomplete because some idiot forgot to put yogurt and milk in the fridge from the night before.
Pros: Excellent disposition of every employee. Though the aircraft had reduced capacity for overhead luggage flight attendants solved the 'problem'.
Pros: Coffee refills
Cons: All was good
Pros: Because of seat screwup we were comped meals, entertainment drinks etc enjoyed the attention Good leg room
Cons: The flight was terrible. The lady in front of me had no idea how to discipline a child. Her son screamed the entire flight.
Pros: Crew was great, food was okay, Gogo inflight was fine. Everything about the entire experience, TSA to arrival baggage carousel, was fine - except for the delayed departure. 2.5 hours due to air traffic control at the destination.
Cons: The delay- even though I know it wasn’t an Alaska Airlines delay, still delayed me seeing my mom for another day... she’d gone to sleep by the tome I arrived.
Pros: The smooth ride and excellent crew.
Pros: Consistently beat the “your bags at luggage claim within 20 minutes of arrival” goal. Bravo Alaska
Pros: That I get a free carry on
Cons: That I didn't know about the flight being delayed till I got there and didn't know exactly when we would board.
Cons: My emotional therapy dog of 7 pounds got part of her paw ripped off on an airport escalator. Though she was bleeding profusely all over me, I was not allowed to use the first aid kit to bandage her. I had to bring her to an emergency vet upon landing in Minneapolis
Pros: The cabin crew was sufficient and delightful.
Cons: I decided to try Alaska Airlines for my travels up and down the Pacific Coast, and I'm disappointed. Maybe my expects of on time and reliable flights are too much.
Pros: Nice and easy
Pros: Flight arrived early Not full flight, more comfortable that way Boarding moved quickly, adequate overhead space Plane exit moved quickly
Cons: Flight attendant was rude as I switched into an empty seat following her count. Called out my move on front of other passengers with negative tone, but did not make me move, so OK overall. Without sale of open seat, the only way for Alaska to capitalize on that seat is to allow someone else to have a more positive flight experience with more personal space, so honestly she shouldn't have been rude. Tomato juice was hot from being outside, normally cool even without ice. Snack was fine, but minimal and snack boxes not available on short flight, so less stars for that. Entertainment nonexistent - film/tv access not available in flight without something in mobile device that was not explained, no plugs for charging.
Pros: I always fly with Alaska Airlines when I need to go to LA. Fantastic flight attendants and good services.
Cons: But on my last flight with them, it was delayed for more than an hour and a half, which was longer than the time I flew back to SJC from Burbank. That mixed up my schedule for the whole day.
Pros: Loved the fact they had shows that you could watch through your phone just connect with their internet, they were very nice and fast at giving drinks.
Cons: Plane was not the most comfortable, and super cold (could also be the fact I forgot my jacket and was wearing tank top) you have to download app to watch movies before actually watching them on plane. There's no way you can download app in airplane.
Cons: The ice falling from the AC was so annoying. It kept falling on my skin and it was jarring and uncomfortable. I won't be using Alaska airlines again until you get that resolved.
Pros: I really did like that they checked on us several time and made sure we had enough to drink. Nice crew and all in all a pretty good flight.
Pros: On time, polite staff, leg room, free entertainment
Pros: I got my American Advantage perks with Alaska. The food was good and they had great entertainment.
Cons: Cabin was pretty cold for most of the flight.
Cons: Only 1 flight attendant in first class for 16 passengers, as the other one disappeared most of the time, and when asked for help she actually refused, saying she was only helping coach class! Dinner service took almost 3 hours. Never asked if we wanted wine or another drink with dinner.
Cons: The air hostess made a big deal about using the restrooms on the front side of the plane by the cockpit even though she knew the food trolley was blocking the way to the restrooms on the rear end. They even made announcements about not standing in queue for the restrooms (note- there was no queue, I was waiting for my mother to find her back to the seat). Less than average hospitality.
Pros: Flight ahead of schedule, staff pleasant, and good price.
Cons: I pre confirmed my flight online & checked in, along with a friend. I didn't realize I had to reconfirm when I got to the airport again, since my friend already knew the gate number. I had my mobile boarding pass on my iPhone, and got to my departure gate. When it got close to boarding time, my email boarding pass disappeared! Luckily I was able to get a paper boarding pass from the boarding desk. If I had not looked previously on my phone-I would have been delayed. Learning lesson on my part. Check in at airport too!
Pros: Online wifi
Cons: They ran out of hot meals for purchase one row ahead of me
Pros: It was a cheap flight and the service was better than I've learned to expect from airlines that fly into Mexico. It may be I'm seeing things that are not there, but I believe most airlines currently traveling into Mexico treat their passengers like cattle. I rank Alaska on the positive high end of this, but it could do better.
Cons: passengers were treated like cattle.
Pros: Comparing Alaska 2 hr flight to transpacific etc may be fair, but this quick flight had the flavor of the best long flights. I have already recommended these folks to some of my friends.
Cons: No negatives whatever.. Excellent
Cons: Very comfortable flight!
Pros: Crew was great and seats were totally perfect and comfortable
Cons: Nothing could have been better, except steak and lobster 🦞😃 Thank you very much for your ability to make customers welcome and comfortable.
Pros: Delta is great and made everything easy and comfortable. Loved having the middle seat open. Flight attendants did a wonderful job! This is a great nonstop flight!
Cons: Do not like the high baggage fees!
Pros: The staff were awesome!
Cons: no covid-19 precautions were taken.
Pros: Great crew. Entertainment options were good.
Cons: Should add weather/radar to the flight tracker
Pros: Early, clean and comfortable
Pros: Though departure was delayed, arrived at destination on time!
Cons: Entertainment options
Cons: Air flow from air above seats was blowing out hot air. My seat kept reclining so I got yelled at and I didn’t do it on purpose. Long wait on ground before takeoff.
Pros: The crew was extremely helpful and friendly!
Cons: The seats, overall, could have been more comfortable... I have somewhat of a backache after my trip.
Cons: There is always just too much talking and announcements on the flights now.
Pros: Same crew and great experiments again
Pros: Crew was polite and very helpful.
Cons: It would have been great to reiterate to passengers to remain seated when deplaning, until the passenger in the row ahead were approximately 6 Ft away.
Pros: The snacks
Cons: There was one flight attendant who was very rude.
Pros: Pretty straight forward. Clean. Efficient.
Pros: Great social distancing and Delta supplies MULTIPLE sanitizing options!!
Cons: The entertainment system was not working, and the charging stations weren’t working either.
Pros: On time arrival and departure.
Cons: Under the Covid circumstances, it was a good experience.
Pros: Liked the attitude of staff and comfort of 50% capacity.
Cons: There were costumers taking off mask and walking through plane.
Pros: I appreciate that Delta leaves seats empty, for our health.
Cons: Snacks were all sugar-laden. Not good for anyone!
Pros: Seat comfort was average for a small jet. Bottled water was cold.
Cons: Cabin was too warm
Pros: Super respctful
Pros: Crew was friendly and very clear about masks.
Pros: The space between passengers.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect.
Pros: The crew was amazing.
Cons: The seat backs are very uncomfortable for my neck & upper back. Difficult to tolerate, and gave me headache on each flight.
Pros: Great crew.
Pros: Great crew.
Pros: The seat was comfortable. Snacks were good. Inflight entertainment was amazing. Boarding was smooth.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
Cons: Extremely frustrated. Upon booking my ticket, I was told it wouldn’t be a full flight. At no point did u receive any information alerting me that it was going to be a full flight. I was extremely uncomfortable due to COVID.
Pros: It was a nice, quick hop. Everyone played by the new COVID rules.
Pros: Took extreme measures for COVID prevention. It felt very safe
Cons: When I pick up my bags
Pros: We needed a seat belt extender and one of the crew members noticed and was so kind in getting that. No embarrassment or drawing attention to the customer. His name? David
Pros: Boarding was very efficient. Flight attendants were helpful and kind and seemed to care.
Cons: We booked basic seats knowing we might not sit together however we did not know they would separate children. They put my husband and I in an exit row and my daughter at the back of the plane with strangers. I was not comfortable with strangers being responsible for my child. I assumed they would seat children with at least one parent. We did ask to move at the gate and the accommodated us with the last row on the plane. No recline, no window, and right next to the bathrooms. We took it to be with our kid but this policy needs to be revised. Kids should always be seated with the adult responsible for them... who knows what kind of person might end up next to my child. Not to mention if she had needed something is the stranger gonna take care of it? It’s just a bad practice imo.
Cons: No delay
Cons: Couldn't have been better
Cons: It made no sense to board an hour and a half before takeoff.
Cons: No issues at all
Cons: Plane journey awful. Speaker had a loud buzzing noise all the time so never heard a word bad landing. Rattling plane Very cold.
Pros: On time
Cons: Take a long time to taxi to the gate & getting off the plane.
Pros: Overall experience was awesome. Always love to fly delta. Nice spacious and clean aircraft. Enjoyed the entertainment system.
Cons: Sat by the exit seat so the door was a bit more chilly. No food. Small entertainment screens with audio bleed through.
Pros: It got me home, eventually.
Cons: Poor communication, a 6 hour delay followed by a 7 hour layover (during which we had to sleep on an airport floor because Delta couldn't offer us any hotel vouchers). Gate agents disappeared after 7pm becuase they were due to be done with their shifts when our flight was originally supposed to leave at 6 pm. It felt like we were trapped in the movie The Terminal. Oh! And our bag was misrouted, because that was just how things went those 2 days. All in all a 6 hour trip turned into 18 hours. I could have driven home in that amount of time!
Pros: Everything was in order
Cons: None really
Pros: The gate agent and cabin crew handled passenger's misery with friendly grace and professionalism. Also, it was an old plane and so the seats, even in coach, were comfortable.
Cons: Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin.
Cons: Was in seat 16A and got bumped to 12E. If you know Delta aircraft, that's exit row window, for the EC (more legroom) but middle. The problem is that nothing can compete with the exit row for leg room and being crammed between two guys isn't an upgrade either. Plus, due to proximity, got sick. And the flight was delayed leaving - due to the late arrival from ATL (Delta HQ) which had a power outage. And no video entertainment. No meals.
Cons: On the MSP to ATL leg the gate crew made a huge deal about checking rolling bags. They even stopped us at check-in and nearly begged us to check our bags pointing to the backed up jetway. But we had a lot of unpacking to do before checking our bags so we politely declined three times. On getting to our seats there were at least 8 open slots for bags near us. I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF
Pros: The crew was very courteous & helpful. Huge bonus.
Cons: The check in process at the airport was horrendous. I would never fly Sun Country again except the crew was so good.
Pros: Crew was terrific! Nice folks. Courteous and professional
Cons: I paid extra for a window seat and ended up next to a bulkhead with no window. I can get claustrophobic so concerning and Frustrating! Also, unlike the trip to Minneapolis where the Wi-Fi worked great the Wi-Fi was awful on the return trip and made watching a movie challenging.
Pros: Most of the crew was very friendly. Good selection of entertainment options and decent food and beverage options.
Cons: I had three short interactions with one of the female flight attendants who never made eye contact. The movie service frequently froze for 30-60 seconds at a time.
Pros: The crew was amazing. Love the local beer.
Pros: The crew was awesome and very attentive to everyone onboard. It genuinely felt like such a welcoming environment.
Cons: Brochures/tutorials in multiple languages would be helpful.
Pros: Seats on Sun country are ok but I don’t expect much for the relatively inexpensive flight! Crew were very efficient, polite and attentive.
Cons: Movie options
Pros: Flight attendant Susan was wonderful. Very friendly, professional, and helpful.
Cons: More leg room, wider seats.
Pros: The air hostess were well behaved and friendly
Cons: No snacks No entertainment
Cons: They lost my bag!
Cons: The lady checking me in said I could pay $40.00 for carry on or $25.00 to check my carry on luggage. This did not happen in SFO. The upper bins were somewhat empty and the plane wasn’t full. I don’t understand why it was different on my way home. Since I had to check my carry on, I missed the airporter by five minutes and had to wait over an hour.
Pros: The flight and boarding were good.
Cons: I'm shocked at what is needed to make a profit these days. Charging $40 for a carry-on bag is absurd. Good thing I read the details at check-in. I did not mind paying $6 for my assigned seat.
Pros: Smooth ride
Cons: Waiting in the plane a very long time after landing at SFO
Cons: Flight was late leaving to MSP and on the return flight to San Francisco, we had to sit and wait 40+ mins just to get into the hanger. It was late and very disappointing!!! They don't serve any snacks and didn't come around with refreshments except once. They charge for carry on's, $40.00!! Huge rip off! They charge to rent DVD player. I will NOT fly with them again. Delta has all the above mentioned for free, they will be who I fly with from now on, they are MUCH more professional and customer service oriented and on time!.
Cons: They charged for my carrie on! I didnt have o pay when I flu with you guys! I was surprised!!!!!!!!
Pros: Cheap fare and good departure/arrival times for my destinations
Cons: Seats are awful, NO entertainment, NO snacks, bad pilots, WOEFULLY late arrival and departure.
Pros: Crew excellent, very attentive
Cons: Marginal comfort, for an average sized man.
Pros: Smoothest flight in years
Pros: Even though the plane was full, we left on time. The direct flight is so helpful since I'm an older person.
Cons: I checked my bag for $25. Then they asked for volunteers to check their bags for free.
Pros: No communication
Cons: Our flight was moved to three different gates and delayed, incrementally, by over 4 hours, without even an overhead announcement/update. I realize that while frustrating, delays are inevitable, but communication can go along way! Return flight was only delayed about 1.5 hrs.
Pros: On time, simple, friendly, good options for snacks, etc.
Pros: Sun country has shittier plains but is an order of magnitude better than united.
Cons: My flight was canceled for unknown reasons.
Pros: Didn't happen
Cons: Didn't happen
Pros: Travel was comfortable, no issues
Cons: Nice flight
Pros: bumped to first class. Not really good or bad, since if the flight was more overbooked I could have missed it
Pros: Excellent service
Pros: Didn't have any food. All was well, and glad to have discovered sun country.
Cons: Seat didn't recline.
Pros: friendly crew, but hard to understand Captian
Cons: seats are very uncomfortable - hard & no lumbar support
Pros: Tv/wifi on board
Pros: It was good to break up coast to coast trip with a stop in Minneapolis, and 2nd leg both had fewer passengers, which equaled more comfort in coach.
Cons: and neither did Sun Country. We had to hunt the flight records down from the bill we received from our credit card.
Cons: When I checked in on the internet, there were no economy seats available. I had to pay $15 for a "preferred" seat, which was an aisle seat on row 7, near the front of the economy section. I was told by an employee that the only economy seats were the middle seats, that aisle and window seats were preferred seats. I was told the plane was full and they could not change my "preferred" seat although I did see empty seats on the plane after takeoff. Also bathroom facilities were poor - only two in the back for the entire economy seating. And the aisles were narrow.
Pros: I liked how the seats had adjustable headrests that actually made it possible to nap.
Cons: Too many unsupervised children running around when the seatbelt light was off!
Pros: Friendly and helpful crew and on time departure and arrival during busy holiday travel time. Thank you!
Cons: Website to check in said no sears left except seats where had to pay additional $15-25 so had to get boarding pass at airport...at airport magically got seats that were showing as not available? Is this a scam to get people to pay more $?
Pros: The stewardesses were very friendly, pleasant & accommodating. Excellent attitudes!
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: No charger plug ins, no wi-fi, no entertainment unless paid to use digi player. Couldn't do work during flight.
Pros: cheap price. thats what's most important, right!?
Cons: pay for food only. make sure you bring some of your own snacks ok!? i did :D also the takeoff was late, but i mean it was because of the weather, not much the airline could do about that...
Cons: The seat size kind of small.
Pros: Flight was on time, and organize in boarding .
Cons: None, but actually could not so rating for food and entertainment, as this actually n/a
Pros: All went well
Cons: Pages removed from flight magazine
Pros: I got an exit row!
Pros: Last minute trip to MN and back to Bay Area. Went for a funeral. Flew Sun country for the first time both ways. Best experience I've/we've had flying in a while. Thank you. We'll be back - especially if y'all go to the east coast.
Pros: For only $15 more I upgraded to a seat with more space and was very comfortable. With the baggage fee only $20 (not $25 like other airlines), I was very happy with the affordable upgrade.
Cons: Seats were very small and uncomfortable, Had a hotdog bread was hard was really unpleasant, There's no WiFi, Flight attendant was rude!
Pros: Never flown Sun Country before and was impressed by the crew's efficiency and demeanor.
Cons: Seats don't go back and you have to pay for the use of a movie entertainment center.
Pros: Crew was amazing very clean
Pros: We like the boarding according to row n., which limits the contact with other people.
Cons: The plane was full, which means no physical distancing was possible.
Cons: United Airlines in our experience runs late putting a lot of pressure on any ongoing connections . Not clean . Staff not friendly . Only sometimes helpful.
Pros: The crew were so helpful and nice
Cons: Only if teleportation exists
Pros: The crew were friendly & efficient, the flights were on time, & the gate staff kept us well informed of any changes.
Pros: Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused.
Cons: So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat.
Cons: 2 hr layover-got off plane and walked to new terminal-went through carry on bag and person security scans and checks. At the gate 30 mins before flight, boarding started. Directed to go to 1of3 stand up desks located in the open away from the gate and boarding lines. Desks were attended by one United employee each. All 3 of us;wife, husband, child passports, boarding passes were checked, and then we were told to get in line to board the plane. About one minute after getting in line, wife name was called over the boarding desk loud speaker to see the boarding desk attendant. At the boarding desk, the boarding desk attendant instructed wife to go back to one of the open area desks to have documents checked again. The attendant then instructed wife that her and her bag would need to go through a secondary search before wife would be alloyed to board the plane. Wife was then accompanied by open area desk attendant and walked down terminal 8 gates to private type room where personnel quickly checked contents of single carry on bag focusing on phone and computer. Wife then directed to go ahead and go back to gate to board plane. Wife quickly walked to gate and met husband and child to present passports and boarding passes. At this time the wife and child began being verbally rushed by a male united employee to hurry up down the pedway, and told the plane needed to leave so hurry up. Needless so say wife, husband and child were the few last guests to be seated. Well, when trying to get seated, all the overhead space had been taken in the area around the assigned seats. When husband briefly described the secondary search situation and thus the current predicament with no space in the overhead for carry on, the attendant asked husband to follow attendant to front of plane with your bag in order to stow there. After speaking with some other attendants, space was made available in an overhead compartment near wife, husband and child seat. ***Please be aware when flying united.... While waiting in the boarding line after multiple security checks where you and your carryon have been scanned and more than one document check has been done, you may to be asked to take a walk to go through yet another bag check, and then be rushed to board a plane that needs to leave, and then find no room for your carry on, and then be asked to put your carry on in a remote location and deal with getting to it and back to your seat for the next 11 hrs if you want to access the contents of your carry on.
Pros: Very pleasant attentive crew and ground staff. An aborted takeoff on tarmac meant a return to the departure gate and the plane taken to maintenance. The ground staff were superb in dealing with a full plane load of passengers many of whom had onward connections. This meant we had to stay overnight and fly first thing the next morning. Full marks to United for dealing with a potentially dangerous situation and then assisting everyone back in the terminal.
Pros: Good trip and on time
Pros: My trip started off with airplane problems from the beginning. From my flight being delayed multiple times by air china to the overly packed united to the confusion of the non updated confirmation numbers or the e-ticket number. Even on the day I left upon arriving to the airport my confirmation number they had just given me after all the prior problems still didn't work. Air china had mediocre food with okay entertainment except my headset jack on the TV was broke and I couldn't watch anything. On the last air china flight from Bejing to Bangkok. I couldn't even charge my phone, watch any entertainment and basically was just stuck with no WiFi. Justfly wouldn't compensate for the changes on their end and said I myself would have to ask the airlines for compensation which the.the airlines directed me no where for compensation or even to upgrade my seat. Now I'm finally in Thailand but I'm scared of my return.
Cons: Everything was really not great. Air china had mediocre food that some of it wasn't bad but other was so so.
Pros: The MSP united noticed our original flight was not going to match our connection flight so they search us out for an earlier flights so we could get to our destination. Also, got two refreshments.
Cons: Seats were hard.
Pros: Everything went smoothly. Though take off was delayed.
Cons: Not much.
Cons: we received email for the take off schedule changed to one hour early. End up when we arrived LAX and it got delayed 1 hr for take off due to air traffic. So when we arrived at SF, originally we only have 50 mins to catch on the next route to Osaka. There was no gate # provided on our boarding pass and we have to look for the international terminal for boarding. Due to first delay in SF, the time was so tight and the international terminal was so far away, we had to run like HELL and we almost suffered from heart attack. We barely made it and there was no one to help ever. we had to figure out on our own. This was very bad experience and was not acceptable with such poor arrangement.
Pros: Crew was very nice, we got drink/service options often for a large flight.
Cons: — A couple who had two middle seats apart disrupted our whole boarding by trying to persuade everyone around us to give up an aisle or window seat so they could sit together. I felt pressured to give in which made me mad. I wondered if they paid for Basic Economy and then still got their way on seats. — WiFi is just crazy expensive at $32. Even as a business traveler I felt guilty buying it. I wish I had seen pricing before the flight and/or understood if I could’ve gotten a discount for purchasing in advance. — Didn’t hav the snack I wanted...it’s a long 6 hour flight — I wish there were more food options.
Pros: The agent in San Francisco was awesome and even went out of her way to bump me to a better seat. Leaving Portland was easy, crew were super organized!
Cons: No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading.
Pros: The service and convenience was excellent. Straight forward and smooth transition throughout boarding and catching connecting flight
Cons: The piece of mind given to me by the staff with baggage and connecting to the other flight
Cons: They left early. I got there at 6:40 and the plane had left the gate
Pros: overall very pleasant and relaxing food good able to sleep due to luckily extra space! very pleased
Pros: We had an aisle each! The staff were friendly too.
Cons: A slight delay
Cons: Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our international connection. Flight attendants did not care, did not attempt to get us out faster, or put on a different flight. Asked for an announcement to be made on board or to be moved to seats closer to the front so we could get off the plane quicker, did not happen. Offboarded and sprinted across the airport for our international connection and was notified by gate attendents that the gate closed five minutes ago and that they could not let us on the plane. Meanwhile, the plane sat there for an additional 30 minutes while it fueled and waited for release from air traffic control. There were six travelers total stuck there in San Fran at that gate, all of us begging to be let on the plane to Beijing, the last one for over 24 hours. Zero compassion from staff at the the airline gate. They did not care about us and did not care about leaving their travelers stranded. Our total travel was Denver to Bangkok, 26 hours of travel including layovers in San Fran and Beijing. In San Fran (after missing the gate connection), United rerouted us through Haiwaii and the customer service agent that did this reroute did not finish the reroute to our final destination. We got to Haiwaii and were stranded again, at the United service desk for four hours having to once again provide documentation of our initial travel plans to Bangkok, having them build a new itinerary to our final destination. Overall, 20 additional travel hours have been added to our itinerary, almost double our initial travel time. We have had to call and cancel pre-arranged bookings in Thailand as we are now missing two full days off our trip. I am absolutely disappointed and heart broken as I write this still stuck in the Beijing airport waiting another six hours to connect to Bangkok. My fiancé and I were traveling to Thailand to get married and have received no compassion from anyone at this airline to try and get us there. I fly United for work quite frequently and have never experienced such horrendous service and lack of basic human compassion. I am flat out disgusted by United and will not be using them again, for personal travel or work related trips, because of this horrendous experience.
Pros: Crew did a great job. Air China had much better food service.
Cons: Seats two small, not enough room to stretch your legs. Bathroom to small. Designed for people less than 150lbs, and 5'-6" in height Not comfortable for people over 6' tall.
Pros: No complaints here! The Air New Zealand staff were amazing. They did their jobs really well! They made everyone comfortable during the trip.
Pros: At boarding there were delays which the boarding personnel updated as they had information. After boarding flight crew passed out water while we waited on the tarmac for hours while a maintenance issue was reviewed. Safety protocols that had a engine issue looked at on the ground prior to putting us in the air. Curry chicken was good.
Cons: Several issues that caused this flight to be late. Part of the issue was the plane was not available to be in the gate on time. The longest delay was on the tarmac for over 2 hours as an engine was analyzed. Does this suggest need for more regular maintenance? I don't know. Given the delays I think United could have done more in recognition of the delay to its customers on the flight such as not charging for some of the services they normally charge for like wifi access and such. As it was I was delayed on both legs of my trip by a minimum of an hour. United should do better.
Pros: The male flight attendant who was in the rear respectfully listened to me.
Cons: The United passenger agent that talked to me at the gate when the other one, who was scanning the boarding passes put me on the side because I could not board with two items was disrespectful. She used a discriminating tone and embarrassed me in front of other people. She made it sound as if it were a shame to purchase a cheap ticket. She was arguing with another passenger before helping me over the same subject, so when I tried to explain that the smallest backpack was almost empty and fit inside the other, she was impatient, upset ignored me and was already demanding my credit card with the bag tag in her hand rushing me. I paid extra $60.00 after I had paid $25,00 for the first bag when I could have put the flexible kipling inside the Jansport if she had listened to me. The flight delayed after I was unable to defend myself and paid an unfair feer.
Pros: I liked that the captain communicated with the passengers about delays and the reasons for the delays over the intercom.
Cons: I feel that I was treated by the employees at the boarding desk and by the customer service attendants as if I were garbage!!!! I was attempting to purchase an upgrade in my seating to avoid very uncomfortable swelling on my right ankle and other personal reasons. As I inquired with the man at the boarding gate about purchasing the upgrade I was told that there were none available. So I pulled out my tablet with the united airlines app and showed him the image of the empty business class seat that I would like to purchase on the seating map available in the app. He told me that he had no option on his computer screen to sell me the seat. I asked him where could I go or who could I ask to get the seat. This back and forth continued for some time where he kept saying he could not sell me the seat but I would then say, “I understand that, but do you know who can or where I can go to find someone who knows where I can buy an upgrade?” The attendant got VERY VERY upset that I was even ASKING. As if I were asking for some OUTRAGEOUS request!! I asked to speak with the manager several times. He continued by ignoring me and just saying NO! Finally he pointed to some lady beside him. I don't know if she was the manager or not, but she was on the phone and barely gave ten seconds of a glance to the situation. He asked me"Are you gonna go or not?" I could tell that he cared absolutely nothing about me or my request and was extremely dismissive in asking me this. Finally, he dismissively told me to ask the flight attendant. I could tell that this young man would be of no further help AT ALL, so I gave my ticket, went on board and thought to just try and ask a flight attendant. Right before I went to give my ticket to the man who was taking tickets, I heard the boarding gate man walk away mumbling how ANNOYING I was in Chinese. I know this because I SPEAK Chinese. This is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I continued to go on board hoping the flight attendants might actually have some information. When I asked, who I thought was the flight attendant, about purchasing a seat, it turns out that she was the customer service agent on the flight, she gave no effort to even try to hear what I was communicating to her. I know about communication and as a public speaking instructor, I know how to listen and to speak. She continued to raise her voice and talk over me, although I remained very calm and tried talking to her logically. I tried to communicate to her that I was attempting to purchase one of the empty business class seats that I had seen were empty. I checked the seating of the flight from the united airlines app before I had even boarded the plane. The lady continued to be very rude and uncaring. She talked over me, did not listen, her responses did not make sense, she very loudly kept asking me " CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT??" as if I was a child or as if I was confrontational when I absolutely was not. I noticed I had been trying to communicate for a while.wordlimit
Pros: Luggage bag broken by baggage handlers
Cons: Luggage bag broken by baggage handlers
Pros: Customer service was very professional even after dealing with MANY delayed customers.
Cons: First leg delayed as was the flight getting there. Had to rebook flying all night on 3 flights with 2 children. My daughter saw that second original flight out of San Francisco was also delayed. We went back to customer service and got back on our original flight arriving home later than planned but if we hadn't of noticed it we would gave been 4 hours later getting in and transferring from 3 planes. Blamed on sf construnction...why would you 's hedule a flight into an area that is under construction. Huge delays of all planes really made me wonder what the heck united is doing. No confidence!
Pros: More important than the trip home last Wednesday was the reason for the trip. We attended my granddaughter's wedding. Everything else was secondary. Even if the trip had been in a one wheeled barrow, it would have been good. To get to what you want which is the mechanics of the trip. The two people who attended to the aisle chair, most teams were competent. Some hadn't done many passengers so they were fumbling with the straps. I've learned that I almost alway have to ask for one at the gate where they check or issue, (what's it called, loading permits, some kind of pass, not landing pass. loading pass. I can't remember and my wife has gone to bed.) Well, they have to come up with an aisle chair because I've only got 1 1/2 legs. I always make it to the seat on the plane, but the competency of the various crews is uneen. Sorry my answer is so nonspecific but I don't remember one airline from another. Great people all, get the job done.
Cons: Not much I don't like. They get us there That is the main thing. Sometimes when the plane stops after it has pulled away from the Jet Way, the pilot gives an explanation that I find unfulfilling, not enough details. I suppose if they explained more, other fliers would find the explanation too verbose. I can live with it. Again this is about all flights and airlines. Nothing stands out, such as, " this awful thing happened when we left San Francisco."
Pros: Healthy options maybe apples or something, and cheaper for snack packs. Ability to accept cash.
Pros: Really pleasant flight. New plane I think - no window shades, it's tinted windows that change colors! They came by many times to offer water, pick up trash. We even got ice cream for dessert! Also, I have a special meal which they brought correctly (have had airlines mess it up which is crummy on a long plane ride). Also, great in flight entertainment on the screens (no need to use personal devices), lots of recent movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. Was also surprised to find guided meditations from Headspace which helped me get to sleep! Overall, loved it and would definitely fly again.
Cons: My bag did not show up at my destination, but I think it will soon. I like that their automated system is sending updates every 6 hours and I can call anytime as well. Fingers crossed it turns up :)
Cons: 1. Comfort: the headrest on these seats is so uncomfortable! It just props your head forward and causes a lot of neck strain. For most short haul flights, this is not a big deal, but it really makes for an unpleasant journey on the cross-country flights. Also, the four-seat middle section is so poorly designed. There is no way to store personal items under seats without invading the space of your neighbor because the metal frame supporting the row of seats doesn't match with the seats themselves. 2. Entertainment: United could not support continuous streaming of movies/TV shows for every passenger. My movie paused and froze so frequently that I gave up on finishing it and then felt like I had wasted my time. The speed and reliability reminded me of trying to watch movies on a dialup connection. It would be so much better to just have the TV screens built into the seats. All in all, United got a bad batch of planes and should try to take this into consideration when working with Boeing/Airbus on the next order.
Pros: Flash for mac did not install
Cons: I felt like I was on my way to my death
Pros: Really friendly staff, communicative, helpful. Gave good directions. Plenty of leg room on flight.
Cons: Beyond the control of United, but LAX is a nightmare of an airport. Traffic control caused delays, airport staff more of a hindrance than helpful. Border control mumbling and barking orders at people like they're cattle. Not the best way to welcome tourists, but at least United Airlines crew made up for it with their smiles.
Pros: The crew was nice and boarding process went smoothly.
Cons: The inflight entertainment would constantly shut off and not work causing you to restart everything. Also, multiple movies being offered were unavailable.'
Cons: There was no provided entertainment
Pros: The flight was not full, so we had extra space.
Cons: First, UA flight attendant forgot to serve us (and few more sitting on the same area) lunch. By the time we asked why we are not served, we didn't have a choice, but to take whatever left. Second, we had about only 1 - 1 1/2 hours of in-flight entertainment available in Economy class out of 10 1/2 hour flight. Of course, entertainment was available for first, business and premier class. Why? Satellite problem supposedly. Third, ok. There was a entertainment on a big screen in the front. However, system on the armrest was not working. What's the point? My husband and I have been in long distance flight over 25 year with various airline companies, BUT THIS UNITED FLIGHT WAS ONE OF THE WORST FLIGHT EVER. When I booked this vacation, I chose Lufthansa on purpose as I know their quality of service and professionalism. I didn't notice that the return flight was a code share with UA. Only thing they can say was that they can provide us more mileage as a compensation if we write to UA on their website... We had a great vacation until were on this flight.
Pros: Flight was on time and punctual
Cons: The two air hostess were quite salty and unhappy with most passengers. Felt that all of were a burden - c'est la vie!
Pros: The first plane had enough leg room
Cons: That the plane needed to be changed due to something being wrong with it. On our flight from cancun, Mexico to SFO we had to stop in Houston to change planes. One of the guys working at the security check point was very mean, raising his voice to people, grabbing their and also my stuff out of their hands, some of my stuff fell on the floor and got stuck in the rolling thingies. I hope I found all of it, not sure. I'm not sure how this happened, shouldn't planes be checked thoroughly before heading out!?!? This all is a big mess and very upsetting (literally just cried for 20 minutes). Sincerely, Sabrina Jungclaus S.email@example.com
Cons: Unable to pre-check online. Unable to check at the check in machines--had to go up and check in at the counter, long wait because there was only one clerk. We were then given a ticket just to get through security and had to check in a second time when we get to the gate for seat assignment, which is ridiculous. Why couldn't that be done at the 1st check-in? The clerk told me she will call me when she has the seat assignment/ boarding ticket but she never did and I had to go back up to ask for them when it was getting close to boarding time. At the last moment minutes, volunteers could check in their carry on for free....It would have been nice (and less hassle) to have that option at the 1st check-in.
Pros: These days we can all admit flying is not what it used to be before 9/11. It's still professional and curtious, but the awareness and appreciation of passengers has dwindled. Stewards and stewardesses go through the motions and do just what they need to do not more. The pilots got the plane to its destination well within the time sometimes even a half an hour early. But sometimes being that early means sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes which cut it close to missing my next flight. Flights used to offer blankets if passengers were cold. If the plane is not full they do allow passengers to move seats to be more comfortable. The complementary beverage is still always a nice touch but seconds aren't offered and cups are often taken before they're finished. It would be nice to see our country's airlines go back to a little more awareness and appreciation for one another, and work to improving their levels to above satisfactory. The flight was supposed to have entertainment viewable on personal devices but going through the app to select something was told this flight didn't have access. Overall it was satisfactory.
Cons: It was a little too cold on the plane. Blankets weren't offered. The food while it looked delicious needed to be warmed and the only option was coffee for warming it.
Pros: I like being in an earlier boarding group and sitting by a window.
Cons: Seats are too close together and reclining makes it very uncomfortable for the person behind the recline.
Cons: Can't rate a flight that was cancelled 2 1/2 hours before it was to take off. They cancelled my flight, re-routed me to three flights going through la. I talked with a gate agent who got me an earlier flight to L.A bit the layover was huge. Was supposed to be in sac at 11am got here at 5
Pros: My knees were literally in the person in front of me back of the chair.
Cons: They make you check your standard crayon bag because it "looks" too big. Even after putting in the size bin they have.
Cons: I cannot believe United Airlines flies an 11-hour international flight and does not provide each seat with an individual television for entertainment. I fly quite frequently and EVERY other international flight has individual televisions. It made the experience long and horrible. I am a minimalist and travel with as few items as possible. So even though United offered me the ability to use my own device, I don't have one! Also, the instructions to download the app before take off was not clear. During the entire flight, I kept getting the message "no internet connection; unable to connect to satellite." So I couldn't even use my phone. Very annoying and I will never fly United for international flights again.
Cons: Heavily delayed, kept getting later
Pros: Absolutely nothing! My flight was scheduled for takeoff at 8:15 pm on Wednesday.I boarded my flight on two different occasions only to be informed that there were mechanical issues.that first delayed & eventually cancelled my flight. I was kept waiting and inconvenienced until 5am, when I was finally offered an alternate 12noon flight later that day as well as a comped room at a nearby hotel. My time is very valuable & limited and because of this experience my itinerary was adversely affected. I will be hard pressed to ever fly United again. Michael Aponte- Very Disappointed!
Cons: Please read above comments
Cons: Lack of communication. Kept us belted down for s very long time. Lacked food service, lacked water service till the very end of the lock down. Then we were given the option to leave the plane as the doors were to be disarmed. But if we did the plane could get clearence and leave with no warning. I missed my connecting transportation, had to scrape my weekend plans, currently searching for a place to stay tonight while they locate my bag. I am cold and left my jacket in my bag. The United counter people are blaming it on the weather. I am sure everything was delayed by the laxadaysical baggage loader. The one person ( or lack of help loading the bags on the plane completely altered my travel plans. I requested assistance for hotel only to be told they are full when in fact several are vacant on the Internet. I should of videotaped the baggage loading in Canada, it would of went viral.
Pros: The attendants were very kind, polite and efficient
Cons: 1) Seats barely recline beyond 90 degrees. 2) person behind me had knees jamming against my seat the entire flight. 3) Food was unimpressive. was on British Airways a week before and it was great. 4) Paying for cocktails on a long haul flight is absurd. 5) Instructed to "download a ridiculous app" for entertainment. 6) I couldn't get WiFi in the airport to function!!! so was at a loss. I was traveling overseas for God's sake. IN a foreign country. 7) Outlet to plug my power sources for mobile devices into was not functioning.
Pros: The flight was mostly on time (only 20 minutes late)
Cons: - Personal entertainment on United is false advertising -- unacceptable for a 10+ hour international flight. Namely, even if one happens to carry an appropriate personal device, the system was near impossible to connect to (none in our row were able to connect with a variety of smartphone, tablet, and laptop devices until most of the plane went to sleep. When we did connect, the streaming was so choppy it was nearly unwatchable. Then if you didn't run out of battery (plugs were not reachable under other passengers), the wifi went down completely for the rest of the flight). - Boarding was confusing (need to get a TSA sticker wasn't clearly communicated, nor when or how to get one). - Most flight attendants were rude to most passengers (not a personal experience, just an observation). - Economy seats felt half the size of those on the Lufthansa operated inbound flight
Pros: Because I was unwilling to pay for seat selection, I was prepared to be separated from my husband and stuck in a middle seat. To my pleasant surprise, the agents put us in the same row by ourselves.
Cons: Better directional signage in both the SFO and Las Vegas airports (arrivals). Las Vegas is a huge airport, requiring a tram to get to the passenger pick-up, even with directions it was confusing and not obvious. In SFO, half the plane walked halfway down the concourse in the wrong direction because of lack of signage and it looks like the right way to go. Drop Kiwi as a third-party for domestic flights, their customer service is clueless, handling charges absurd and flight requirements unnecessary.
Cons: Crew could be better They should keep one seat distance between two customers They could serve basic packed drinks but there was nothing It’s not that they were not serving but they started charging
Cons: The only negative was the weather!
Cons: That my filght wouldnt have been 2hrs late
Pros: They gave us the emergency row with more space which we liked!
Cons: Boarding process could have been better. I felt I was poorly informed of the technical issues and would have liked a better understanding of what was going on. Boarding and then having to deplane right before departure due to a tire inspection fail was unnecessary. I feel as though the inspection should have happened prior to boarding.
Pros: Clean, on time, reasonable
Cons: do not sell the middle seats
Pros: I thought everything and everyone were great!
Pros: Social distancing seating. Good job frontier. Great gate staff.
Pros: Amazing it took an international pandemic to finally convince airlines to board from the back front.
Cons: Flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues. No help was offered other than rebooking on a flight that didn’t get me to my destination until the next day and included an overnight stay at a hub airport with no hotel voucher. When told that was unacceptable I was handed a piece of paper listing two “Options” from Frontier. Both options involved going to a website and filling out forms. One for cancellation and $500 in travel vouchers which, after filling out the form and submitting returned with a message that the website was closed. Option 2 was to try to rebook which led to a dead end. I finally called Frontier directly and spent over 45 minutes getting everything straightened out. Now I have vouchers that have to be used by January 1, 2019.
Pros: Flight wasn’t bad for what I paid for. One MUST definitely do his/her homework before flying to be prepared for all of the extra costs, etc... I was glad I did and was prepared with my own food, neck pillow, etc. I didn’t expect much in terms of creature comforts and therefore wasn’t disappointed. There isn’t much space in the cabin, so I was glad to have my 6-year old in between us 2 adults. Crew was pleasant r and professional. Ticket agent was helpful if a bit “assertive”. I probably won’t try to book them for long flights, but for short flights their fine
Cons: The tiny space and small seats!
Pros: The stewardess' were professional and friendly
Cons: The flight was delayed, the captain stuck in traffic, and they boarded the plane in the Florida heat without having the AC on. A real health hazard! At first they said that it had to be the captain who could turn it on. He wasn't even in the airport yet! It wasn't until I complained about concern for my child's safety that they called for someone to plug it in. The flight price seems like a bargain, but the individual charges for bags and seat assignments feel tricky and in the end doesn't make this a deal. The comfort on the plane is horrible. If I would have known the seats were unpadded, and the tray tables worthless I would never have booked this flight. My husband couldn't work on his computer as the tray table is miniscule. I have never flown this airline and will never again. There were multiple places in our row that had gum stuck on the floor. Gross. Never again Frontier.
Cons: They didn't know how to handle the unpleasant situation of having delay due to "the plane is having some problems and they will try to fix it asap before departure".
Pros: Ticket prices were initially really low.
Cons: Everything else about my experience with frontier. They nickle and some you at every corner. When you go to pick a seat that'll cost you $5-$25 per seat. Then you're looking at $35 per checked bag $40 PER CARRYON. The only time I have ever paid for a carryon bag. No complimentary water/beverages/snacks. The seats are hard plastic with very little padding and no reclining. The tray table is smaller than your average tablet. On our departing flight we sat on the tarmac for well over an hour with no explanation. Horrible customer service all around. I will never be flying frontier again.
Cons: First I bought a ticket from Spirit Airlines SFO to MCO for 309$, then I saw charges from frontier Airline, frontier airlines bought a ticket for me too for 287$, when I was just watching checking the price. Then I compared the tickets, both the time, but from Frontier Airlines was cheaper then I stayed with frontier and cancel the other reservation from Spirit Airlines the next day I see frontier airlines also cancelled that reservation and I had to rebook another ticket for 496$, the price went up, then I had to pay 187$ extra, IT WAS A FRAUD JOB FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES, I can prove everything above with the receipts and the dates on it, the worse experience I had
Pros: First off I've never flied on Frontier before. I've heard some pretty negative things about Frontier but booked a flight anyways because 1) it was 1/2 the cost of any other airline for the dates I wanted 2) it was a non stop from SFO to MCO so how bad could it be. It was absolutely horrible and enough to convince me to never book a flight on Frontier again. Here's some things that you should know if you've never flown Frontier before. They charge $25 for carry on bags and $30 for a checked bag as long as you purchase ahead of time. If you show up at the airport and pay there then the cost for a carry on is $50 and a checked bag is $60. You are allowed to bring a personal bag for free as long as it's not bigger than 18x14x8 and that's what I did. You can't choose a seat on Frontier unless you're willing to pay an additional $12-$42 so you essentially get whatever they give you. The plane was an A319 but the most stripped down version that an airline could probably purchase. The seats don't recline and it's basically a plastic seat lined with fabric. Extremely uncomfortable to say the least. The employees for Frontier across the board are very unprofessional and rude, at first I just thought it was an isolated incident but the more contact and interaction I had with Frontier's employees the quicker I realized that it's company wide the level of unprofessionalism exhibited. If you want a snack or anything to drink including water you better be ready to pay a premium, so it was a rough 5 hour flight. On the way out of SFO my plane was delayed over 3 hours. When I asked about the delay they said it was weather. The funny part was that only Frontier flights were delayed. Flying back my plane was supposed to depart at 6:55pm but we actually didn't depart until 11:15pm. Lesson learned and I know that for me I'll pay the extra money to fly with a carrier that I have experience with that better caters to my traveling needs.
Cons: The flight was delayed 5 hours, and we were offered a $100 voucher that would be emailed to us immediately after the flight takes off. I approached the desk to verify with an employee pre-boarding to ensure I will receive this voucher. She was annoyed with me from the start repeatedly saying it will be emailed after takeoff, which was NOT my question. My question was to verify that the email on file was correct. She had a very hard time getting this to her head. However, it has been over a week and I have yet to receive this voucher. Unless, I receive this voucher I will never recommend this airline.
Pros: Crew was pleasant
Cons: They charge for: a checked bag, a CARRY-ON bag, and your seat choice. There is no on-flight entertainment. The seats don't recline. The check-in counter has massive lines of people and is clearly understaffed. The gate is frequently empty and abandoned with zero people to answer your questions. Flights are late without good reason. Gate agents are understaffed, uninformed, and frazzled. Gate changes were poorly communicated and disorganized. Frontier management and leadership: you should be embarrassed.
Pros: I liked the fact that I was FINALLY able to fly from MSP to Denver. My flight was cancelled due to the weather. The woman at check-in was very, very good as far as being able to handle a lot of cranky passengers. She kept a positive attitude and was able to book me on a flight 2 days later. Kudos to her.
Cons: No compensation was offered. NONE. This lay over was expensive (two nights in a motel plus food). You didn't even offer me a drink of water while I stood in long lines getting to the check-in counter and then waiting to make arrangement at a motel. I know the weather is out of your control, but couldn't you at least try to make your patrons comfortable after they have been on the road in sub-zero weather, in the snow trying to make their flight??? Enuf said. I will likely not fly with you again.
Cons: They charge for everything, even carry-on! If you don't tell them you have a carry-on, they will charge an additional 20$ on top of the $40 for the regular charge. They charged me even to make a check-in online and assign a seat. Only water is served in the plane and if you want soda you gotta pay for it. Ridiculous! The counter crew are rude and seemed overworked. The airplane seats DO NOT lean back and they have no foam, only a hard piece of leather covering the metal seats. They put their price very low on the travel websites and get you that way. Later on the fine prints (which no one ever reads, btw), they state that there are extra charges for everything else. I am surprised that they didn't charge me to breath inside the plane! Im Chocked!
Cons: The price was good, before you realized the price was a lie and they scam you by charging $45 to carry on or $40 to check a bag! That meant the overhead space was unused and they were just charging more just to be inconvenient. The plane was stripped barebones. The crew were rude, did not smile, and gave me attitude for hitting my elbow with the drink cart. They charge for even getting a soft drink. Nothing about the experience said "we're serving you." It's worse flying a more expensive airline because the rediculous bag fees make it just as expensive and even things that should be free like pleasant staff were lacking.
Pros: nothing! the flight attendants were nice!
Cons: only three rows of seats recline! the most uncomfortable flight ever! I thought (ALL) airlines would have all their seats except exit row seats recline? especially on a cross country flight! my girlfriend said she never had to pay for a soda on an aircraft! I have no problem paying for checked bags, but for a carry-on, I have never heard of that until I flew Frontier this weekend. JUST NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH FRONTIER AIRLINES! my girlfriend will be filling out either this survey or your facebook page? we thought we were the only folks complaining, but felt a little better when people seated around us had the same complaints! I have never complained about an airline before this.
Pros: I liked that the plane flew safely.
Cons: Both my flights were delayed which caused a lot of inconvenience given that this was a short trip and time was of the essence. The second time I kindly approached the counter to ask if a drink ticket or free wifi could be extended as a courtesy. The woman at the counter was snarky to me and made under her breath comments as I walked away. I understand now that frontier does not have wifi but she was very rude. I think this was the tipping point for me. I was trying to be ok with the unexpected charge for a carry on. I think letting passengers know in advance would serve in Frontier's best interest since this is an incredibly unusual charge and one I have never heard of from any other airline. The people at the counter who explained this to me as I checked in were also rude and snarky. I felt that Frontier provided absolutely nothing past a the actual flight. The seats dont recline, not even a centimeter, the tray tables are too small to place a drink and a sandwich on it and it seemed every Frontier flight in the airport was delayed. The icing on the cake is how nasty the customer service people were. I've experienced rudeness from other airlines before, but at least we landed on time and I didnt suffer back pain for 2 days afterwards from the incredibly cheap lawn chair style seats. Please improve your service. I know your whole bit is you wont provide any amenities so you can pass down the savings to the customer but it's not really a cheaper flight if when you get there you have to pay an extra $60-80 for a carry on?! Grow your company, provide outstanding service and pay your employees enough that they dont behave like they're at a dive bar. On the upside I do believe the pilot was sober.
Cons: I didnt like the fact that I couldn't talk to someone here in the United states for frontier. I didn't like that when I called customer service I was instructed to do the wrong thing and fill out the wrong form. And most of all I really hated that my flight was cancelled and my money put into a "shell credit" and when I went to re book the fight it cost 3 times the amount than I originally paid. Overall this has been a horrible experience and I will be tell everyone I know and even people I don't know via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and snap chat about my experience . Overall I feel your service and your service provider failed miserably.
Cons: You risk losing the flight unless you pay additional fees to select a seat in advance. If you do risk getting your seat assigned at the gate (no fee), you MUST be first to the gate to get your seat assignment because they far oversell the flight. Interestingly, they seem to intentionally punish people who avoid the seat assignment fees in this way. My evidence for this is when my husband and I were first in line at the gate for a seat assignment, the agent said that there were no seats together and gave us seats far apart. However, the girl behind us in line ended up sitting next to me, meaning that the agent purposefully seated my husband and I apart. In addition to all this, you must pay for SODA. And there is no entertainment, as the seats are thin plastic and squished as close together as possible. Consequently, the seats have laughably small tray tables. In summary, I will never fly Frontier again.
Cons: 1. They charge for every little thing. Each checked bag is $25.00 and each carry on is $35.00. They also charge you for a seat. So once you purchase your ticket, you then have to pay an additional fee to seat down. 2. The staff is unprofessional. Not only does everyone look sloppy, but the staff is comprised of individuals that don't care at all about customers and have been poorly trained. The quality is very low. 3. I was hit and then verbally abused by a gentlemen on the plane, they laughed and did nothing!!!!! 4. They only allow 15 bags on their plane! After 15, they will move your bags to a different plane without telling you. What kind of nonsense is that?!
Pros: Everything was awful
Cons: If I could give this rating a 0 stars, I would. I never plan on flying with this airline again. The attendant was extremely rude at the beginning when I tried to check in and I almost had to miss my flight because she was trying to charge me for a bag that was a carry on (charge me triple the amount) and that fit perfectly on the overhead, I even took a picture. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and put a hold in my account trying to get me to miss my flight. Luckily, the attendant at the boarding gate was already having a bad day due to the incompetence of his fellow coworkers and just let me go on. It was horrible. 0 stars, worst airline and flight ever
Cons: I will never fly this airline again! The tix appear significantly cheaper on kayak, so we drove 2 hours out of our way to ATL in the early morning hours thinking it was saving $$$. Only to find at check in that it cost more to bring a small carry on than to pay for it to be checked! It was a west coast flight and it didn't even include a beverage in flight!!! No snack either. Thumbs down. It was certainly NOT worth the inconvenience of driving out of the way, and we didn't save any $ after all. The staff was not that friendly, at it took 30 mins for the frontier baggage carousel to even start up to get the heck out of there. Never again. If it seems too good a deal, it is!
Cons: Boarding - people who sit up front go first meaning that those that have seats in the back have to go in past people who are still in the aisles arranging themselves. I could not get a drink of water without paying. Is it really that esxpensive to give a coke and some peanuts??? Paying for seat selection means that some people get in the seats other peoiple want (like window seats) who don't want them. I tryly believe that Frontier is the nickel and diming airline. And I don't believe you had to wait for a gate and 11:30 at night.
Pros: Crew was considerate and offered updates as we waited. We were given a lunch voucher and $100 voucher for a future trip -- on frontier and within 3 months. Fortunately for me, I did not have a connection and the person I was meeting in Orlando was also delayed 4 hours from a different location . So I was only moderately inconvenienced. Ordinarily this would have been a very costly event. This is my 2nd trip on the same flight within one month. Non-stop and times are great. First trip was on schedule and solid. Very friendly staff. Planes seemed new, cean, and safe, but not very comfortable (seats did not recline!?)
Cons: Delayed for 4 hours. We all boarded the plane before being told there was a problem, so then everyone had to de-plane and wait near gate for more information. Arrived Orlando too late to drive to destination. Wasted a day of car rental. Must use $100 voucher within 90 days.
Pros: That they got me to my destination safely.
Cons: This airline is a joke. Shame on me for booking late and choosing the cheapest ticket. BUT knowing what I now know, I would have selected the Delta flight for $80 more. Here's why: No TSA Pre-Check. This aspects alone is a deal breaker. Pay for carry-on bag AND IT COSTS $40. Pay for beverages, snacks. Seats don't recline - "pre-reclined for your maximum comfort." Whatever Tray table is metal and tiny. You couldn't even fit an iPad mini on it, let alone a lap top. So, I put my MacBook on my lap to work, but it's uncomfortable, MacBook slides off. You're hitting the person next to you with your elbows. AND I have to take off my jacket, to protect my MacBook against hitting the metal tray table, so I got cold. No internet. It's 2016. No internet. It's 2016. Never again.
Pros: overall the aircraft and schedule was ok
Cons: Our luggage did not arrive at our destination. It was an absolute nightmare to get it back!! I had to call the airline about 50 times, where most of the calls were not answered. I had to keep calling and following up. When the luggage did come they only delivered one of the 2 pieces. The calling marathon had to be resumed most of which went unanswered! We finally had to rely on the delivery company to provide alternate numbers where there was a possibility to get an answer. Absolute nightmare!!! Never never will I travel this airline.
Cons: I was helping my mother - in - law check in and board - she needed wheel chair assistance. We were in line to drop off a bag that we had checked in online an hour before the flight. There were 5 people in the line with only 2 reps helping. Since I hadn't printed the boarding pass, I tried to print the pass at the self-help kiosks getting the message that I needed to see an agent. The cut-off for checked in baggage is 45 mins before the flight, however the reps were making no effort to expedite the service. In 15 mins they had helped 2 people making us the 3rd in line and the line had grown to an additional 5-6 people behind us. 45 mins before the flight they refused to take in any bags for checking - in. Since I was able to take the checked in bag with me, I asked that the agent print the boarding pass for my mother in law and call for wheel chair assistance. The agent called for wheel chair assistance but refused to print the boarding pass! The one thing that the ticketing / check in agent should be able to do is to print a boarding pass for a reservation that is fully paid. Because of this my mother in law had to miss her flight and we paid an additional $99 to get onto the next flight. I was so taken aback when the agent refused to print the boarding pass, that I did not even know how to convince her to do her job. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with any airline!
Pros: Both flights were on time. There was no difficulty with boarding, everything proceeded in an orderly manner with no untoward delays.
Cons: Misleading information regarding carry-on baggage. Extra charge if I assigned myself a seat when I printed my boarding pass the night before the flight. Extra charge for every, little, thing. $1.99 for 3-4 ounces of Coke. 3-4 ounces of warm water with no ice. Seats that did not adjust. Minimal service from the flight attendants. On early morning flights (both of mine departed at 6 a.m.), when everyone was snoozing as well as they could, a flight attendant came on the VERY LOUD pa system with a commercial trying to get us to apply for the Frontier credit card. I will AVOID flying on Frontier in the future, and use it only as a last resort when I can't get a flight on ANY other airline (as was the case with this last-minute, necessary flight). It is the first time in over 30 years of flying that I had a BAD experience.
Pros: The desk staff and pilot were awesome. Very sympathetic, attentive, and personable throughout the entire long day. They all deserve TOP recognition!!!
Cons: Due to a winter storm, our flight was on hold for 8 hours. We were told all day to "stay with the plane", but in the end our flight was being used to fly the next day 5:30 passengers and we would not have a flight. So we waited all day, patiently, courteously and were left hanging. I was stranded 2 hours from home and wouldn't have a flight out for 4 days. Since I would have had to return the 5th day, I had no choice but to take the shuttle back home. Even the pilot and desk staff assumed we would be flown out in the morning. Frontier seriously needs to work on customer service when it comes to interrupted flights. We, who had been disrupted all day should have been placed on that morning flight. The 5:30 booking should have been delayed due to the circumstances.
Cons: Just a super cheapo airline that offered an "inexpensive" ticket that then they charge you for everything else, with no warning about the hidden fees. Like baggage: you can't take on more than one free, tiny check-in without paying at least $35, if not much more. Uncomfortable seats. The flight was 3 hours late when a neighbor flight to the same city (on Southwest) took off on time, and so they gave us this lame $10 voucher to appease us, and yet we couldn't use it anywhere, just pissing you off more. They wouldn't accept it at the airport or on the plane, so, what the heck?
Pros: Getting OFF the plane
Cons: The new seats are flat out terrible. They're thin, poorly padded, and uncomfortable after only 15 minutes of sitting on them. I'm 6'-4", tall, but not a giant and my knees were against the seat in front of me. Legroom was nonexistent. When the stewardesses came through with food and beverages, it was $2 for a can of soda. So after paying an extra $30 to check one bag, and then paying ridiculous prices for a can of soda, and getting cramps after a 2-hour flight with no legroom, Frontier has moved to the bottom of my list for any future flights.
Pros: Frontier staff in SFO (San Francisco) friendlier to passengers than ORD (Chicago). Kept luggage at SFO for pickup when I arrived
Cons: Missed flight by 10 mins. Was able to check-in 1-hr before a domestic flight and get my boarding pass printed. However, the attendants were not interested in expediting me, and 4 other passengers going on the same flight, through security. Ultimately, 5 passengers with boarding passed missed their flight even though we had arrived to the airport and checked-in at an appropriate time! After the plane left, an attendant assisted a passenger to rebook their flight, but then left to go on break and left 3 of us stranded. Very few Frontier attendants available to help us. Had to pay $225 for another same day flight to SFO using American Airlines. Learning points: - hard deadline, need to be at gate 10 mins before departure time - lofty and esoteric reimbursement process - Frontier does not participate in TSA Pre-Check, so arrive 2 hours ahead of departure time for domestic flights - Frontier does not participate in other airline organizations, so unless you rebook with Frontier you are paying full price for the new ticket
Pros: Our flight didn't get canceled.
Cons: I did not like that the airline does not mention anything about paying for carry on, paying for all drinks and food or paying to choose a seat, which were extremely uncomfortable by the way. All of these costs combine could have equaled or exceeded other ticket prices. It felt misleading and not worth the effort. I also thought that the sales pitch on the flight was disruptive and annoying. If you are going to represent yourself as a budget airline, stop trying to nickle and dime me everywhere you can.
Pros: The boarding process was easy enough.
Cons: The crew was absolutely clueless. Half way through the flight no less than 6 sleeping passengers were woken and shuffled about because they discovered two other passengers had seated themselves in the priority area. I understand the desire to ensure passengers are seated properly. However, it was ludicrous to wake 6 people who were not at fault for this error on their part. They should have been more vigilant at the start, or left the rest of us alone after the fact. Terrible understanding of customer service. Also, our flight arrived early, however, they didn't have the appropriate gate available. Poor planning as we knew we'd be early about half way through the flight. Would not fly again, not because of the disorganized gate business, however, there's a real lack of customer focus on this airline.
Cons: Frontier has trained their staff and written their website to "threaten" passengers into buying extra's like bags, assigned seats ."if your bag doesn't fit we will charge you 120 at the gate", I cant' guarantee a refund" "you may not get a seat if you don't buy one online (they warn you three times on the website before you can complete online check in...we were "randomly assigned" 6 seats together for free by skipping the buy seats step and completing online check in). On frontier you can only take one personal item for free. carry on is $70 (35 one way) and checked bags are $60 (30 one way)...MORE at the airport. I also fault Kayak here, they don't compare apples to apples - united carry on bags are free.. I bought 5 checked bags (6 people flying), but we decided to just do a personal item in the end. Turns out you can only get bag refunds at the airport ticket office ..not online or by phone. The ticket agent said there was no guarantee we would get a refund, but she would put a note in our record. Hmmm....prepaid $300 for a service we didn't use and may not get refunded. Online check in tries to bully you into buying seats...you have to say no 3 times before they let you complete check in. That would have been another $120 for the 6 of us. The best for last. On the return flight home, we went to ticketing agent to get refund for return bags ( the outbound ticket agent would only put a note in our record for the outbound flight, so we had to stand in line again for the return flight). She told us there was a gate change and sent us to the international terminal (a different terminal than the rest of Frontier flights). She marked the new terminal on our tickets. We were at the gate for 45 minutes and realized there were only about 10 other passengers for our flight there. I tried to call frontier on the white airport phone. They just had a recording and told me to dial an 800 number. I was on hold for 20 minutes before i got a person who said he couldn't get me any information. The flight wasn't listed on the departures board in the international terminal we had been sent to, so finally we decided we'd better go to the original gate. We had to go to another termanial, go through security again, and found our flight boarding at the original gate. The woman who sent us to the wrong terminal was at original gate loading passengers, so she knew there had been a mistake. She said they had made two announcements. The trouble is, the announcements were not audible in the international terminal. I told her there were several other passengers at the wrong gate, one of whom was elderly and would need help making the flight, No apology, and when we continued to try to get help for the other passengers, they, told us to move away from the podium or they would call security!!! ARGH!
Cons: I did not like the fact that I had to pay for placing a carry on in the overhead compartment, when most airlines do not charge for that. Also, the price for a carry-on was more expensive than a check-in bag. Then our flight was delayed for 3 hours and the board at the airline still showed "On-Time". After we landed in San Francisco from Las Vegas, we were stuck on the tarmac for 45 min. and could not leave the plane. While waiting on the plane I was how your baggage handlers were literally throwing the passengers luggage because they failed to drive the cart closer to the conveyor belt (now I know why luggage looks discombobulated). When we were able to leave the plane(we were off loaded at the international airport), the flight attendant failed to announce that our luggage was moved to the domestic terminal. She only announced that our luggage was going to be at carousel #12. Both the international and domestic terminals have a carousel #12. All the passengers waited at carousel #12 in the international terminal for at least 15 mins. Then when we found out it was at the domestic terminal, we all had to walk about 1 mile. My overall first time experience with Frontier was absolutely horrible. The staff was very unhelpful and did not inform the passengers properly which cause the passengers more time at the airport and less time at their final destination. Terrible, terrible airline. I would never recommend this airline to anyone at all.
