Paying extra should be if I want to upgrade a seat and not for a seat in an area that I already paid for. This was definitely not an upgraded seat. I will avoid flying Sun Country in the future."

Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."

My wife, 2 year old son, and I was boarding at the gate and they couldn't scan my son's boarding pass. They quickly went over to the computer station and gave my son another pass. We went to our seats and found out someone else is in our 2year old seat. Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

The check in process was a stressful mess: we were forced to stand in long customer service lines both on our first flight from LAX to Chicago and again during our very short layover in Chicago to Dublin to ensure that our bags were checked all the way to our final destination. Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."

NO BACKUP CAPTAINS or 1st OFFICERS AT LAX? Then miraculously during our 3rd hour waiting for a Captain they discovered the 1st Officer was going to time out. So, rather than KNOW this while searching for a Captain, they waited for 3 hours and then had to find a 1st Officer to fill in. Result 2.5 more hours of delay. Even the Flight crew was in disbelief on this one. I think we should all get reimbursed and triple miles for this snafu. Not weather or mechanical - just poorly managed time -- BY A MAJOR AIRLINE - INEXCUSABLE!"

I got on the plane and had to wait for the other two passengers get up and step into the aisle so I could take my window seat. Cons: "Everything was pretty unpleasant: 1.) hidden baggage fees ($45 round trip would be one thing for a CHECKED BAG, but $90 collectively for the round trip is FRAUDULENT) Especially when most airlines don't charge for carry on bags or it's at least calculated in the final cost. At first when I booked this trip with FRONTIER $180 for my tickets looked like a decent deal, UNTIL I WAS TOLD AT THE COUNTER THAT I HAVE TO PAY $45 each way for a FRIGGIN CARRY ON BAG!! turning my reasonable and anticipated $180 trip turned into almost a $300 (NEARLY doubled my cost!) had I known I could have at least packed more into a checked bag for that price. 2.) my flight was delayed 4 hours on my outgoing flight, cutting into my personal time off and no compensation or even a kind gesture like a free McDonald's sandwich when you land...you guys really have poor quality and seem like you don't really care about the paying customer 3.) staff seemed clueless and didn't know how to answer customers questions as to why our flight was delayed!! 4.) mechanical issues with plane were the cause, or at least that's what the copilot or captain Just HAD TO MENTION TO US RIGHT BEFORE TAKEOFF, causing everyone to stir and raise eyebrows. 5.) to top off him mentioning the mechanical issues they were having with the plane the flight was rough..I've never been more tense or anxious on any of the other 30+ flights I've taken in my life. Pilot didn't seem to know how to handle turbulence."

The outbound flight was delayed over an hour with no explanation and perfect weather. When I asked for more water in the tiny cup, she poured it half way. I guess they are really trying to save money. Makes me wonder they took shortcuts on safety to save a few dimes."

Cons: "I was unable to print a boarding pass at one of the many kiosks - it informed me I needed to speak with a Frontier agent. The line for the agents was about 2 hours long, too long to wait to make the flight. After being told by a frontier employee that I'd just want to get in to the line to rebook on a later flight (9 hours later) I proceeded to speak with a momentarily vacant agent who, helpfully, printed and handed me my boarding pass. I arrived at the gate to a closed door and ended up needing to rebook anyway. I decided to just not go on the trip.... wasn't worth having to deal with Frontier 2 times in one day."

Cons: "The crew was poorly trained in virtually all aspects of their duties. They had no coordination among themselves and ran around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. One attendant yelled at a passenger at one point. They kept turning the lights on and off abruptly and made a HUGE deal about throwing away the trash because otherwise they will get stuck doing it all. The intercom system was also abused as the attendants made, at times foolish announcements, with a different attendant speaking almost each time. One would almost yell while another would speak very softly. The intercom system and speakers on this plane, particularly from the cockpit, when the captain spoke, sounded like it was from the Vietnam War era. For a brand new airplane, this was a disappointing shortcoming in the technology. We experienced excessive turbulance for the majority of the flight as well. I do not know if this is something the pilot is able to overcome but on this flight, it certainly was an issue as i almost had to vomit from all the very abrupt and excessive motion. I would not rate this as one of the better flights i have been on."

In fact, my comment is in reference to customer service in general. Everything is a fight now. I'm not a screamer, I'm rational. I laid out,clearly, where their policy was contradicted and that some empathy was in order and in the process was hung up on once and have not received a reply to my last email. If you gave no intention to achieve quality customer service, why pay for the department? Maybe they don't."

Checked in online and was told (after the many upsell screens) that I couldn't print a boarding pass and needed to go to a Spirit counter. Went back to the Spirit gate and they said I hadn't checked in so they gave away my seat, and they didn't have another flight until tomorrow. Did I want it? Nope. Bought tickets on a real airline. Will never, ever travel with Spirit again."

My friend who we were going to see in Denver had flown spirit a few months before to come see me in Texas. And he had some unnecessary issues also with delays and unprofessional personnel. I won't be using them again. Use a different airline."

It is rediculous that they charge for bags and that they are the only airline with a 40 pound weight limit when all of the others are 50 pounds. They charge $10 just to print the boarding passes at the airport. All of this they claim saves you money on the fare, but with all of the nickel and diming that they do to you after you purchase the ticket, it is much more affordable to go with another airline. I will choose some one else to fly with next time."
Cons: "I wasnt allowed on my plane when it wasnt leaving for 43 minutes after i had arrived there. I would have been there the RECOMMENDED hour and a half early if i hadnt run into heavy traffic. Unfortunately, I only had 43 minutes before the plane left denver and the crew told me that i was late and wouldnt even give me the opportunity to try and get to the aircraft before it left. Then they told me that i could pay almost double what i had origionally spent on the flight to wait 4 hours for the next one with a 6 hour layover for thr connecting flight. I had then asked if it was possible to be reimbursed, the guy at the counter started laughing and said no it was my fault i was late. I have never been treated with such disrespect before in my life. I just dont understand, because no where does it say that if you're not there 50 minutes prior to the flight that you forfeit your flight. 50 minutes, i was there 43 minutes prior. Now i wont be able to visit my family for another year because i used my vacation time for that aweful experience with spirit ovwr 7 minutes. Then when i called kayak to explain to them what happened, they told me there was nothing they could do over and over again. Absolutely no help from either party."

The ones with the gray backs we encountered on the flight to Denver were intolerable. The ones with the blue/black backs we encountered on the way back were better padded but still too uncomfortable for any flight more than an hour. I've encountered cement benches that were more comfortable. Never again."

I don't wan't to blanket criticize all of them because I didn't come into contact with everyone of them as much as others, but I was put off by the flight attendants attitudes. They don't help as much as on other airlines and don't pass out food to everyone like on other airlines, so when I do order and pay for it, I expect a pleasant reaction, not to made feel like a burden."

Cons: "I was not pleased to find that the weight for a bag was 40 lbs and was charged $25 on top of the $40 bag fee for an overweight bag. This must have been in the fine print for I did not see it and packed my bag to be less than 50 lbs. The seats have no leg room and I found them to be restrictive for my 5'2" frame. They do not recline due to the space "saving" efforts of the airline. If you are looking for "cheap" remember to add on all the fees charged for bags, select seats, beverages before comparing to other airlines."
