So instead of enjoying my vacation I was having to spend time in the mall in a foreign country trying to find clothes for each occasion. It also cost a lot of money to repurchase all of these items. He just took the ticket and gave me the last sit available on the plain even though I arrived almost 3 hours before the original departing hour .. I don't know .. It might be the only available sit or it was just a racist thing .. Who knows .. Really disappointed with United. I'll go back with Ameican Airlines."

But because of that some people switched flights so my plane was basically empty which is nice not having squeeze next to a stranger for 5 hours. 7.99 for tv or a movie for a few hours is ridiculous though (movies were free on long flights back in the day). No snacks offered, and the stuard forgot my drink, but other staff was prompt when I asked for it later."

All frontier gave me was $50voucher when i lost hundreds in hotel and car and taxi and my time. The depart time for the sju flight was 3am i have to be in the airport 2hrs before so this was a allmost 24hrs flight for me because i reach my destination at 4pm. I expect comunication from you."

We were told they were on "lunch" and we couldn't drop our bags until they finished. There was at least 15 people waiting on Frontier reps to show up and check us in. After that time suck flight was delayed again. Plane was filthy. After looking over the total for the flight it really doesn't save you any money after all the extra fees and poor service. I'll pay more to fly on an airline that shows up."

I can understand the checked baggage fee only if it was made known prior to purchase but charging more for carry on bags. Also, the staff at the ticketing counter are rude and obviously selected and trained to make sure that they get every penny of their ruthless money. I have flown my first and only flight with Frontier and will never do so again."

People at the gate wouldn't tell passengers anything, and responded to questions with "I don't know." When one woman complained about the lack of communication, a Frontier worker told her dismissively that she could call the manager. We kept learning about the flight delays by watching the status board. The front gate workers wouldn't say anything, and most people were too worried about missing the flight to run and get something to eat."

The flight attendants paid little attention to the customers...stayed all up front eating, talking to each other, or on their electronic devices. The seats are very cramped, uncomfortable, and had no pocket or way to recline (unless you paid extra). There was no complimentary snack/beverage options...not even water...and this was for a 3 hour flight. The overall staff was not friendly or inclined to be helpful."

Entertainment #4 Poor service from management (our flight has been delayed over close to 4 hours now and #1BARELY ANY COMMUNICATION #2 MISCOMMUNICATION #3 NOT ONCE A SERVICE has been offered to ease the inconvenience (everyone's hungry, upset waiting etc) I dare for anyone to suggest that this is the cost of flying an Economy flight. I have flown JetBlue and Delta and those 2 guys are OUTSTANDING. (Bags included/Descent snacks/Starbucks coffee/Entertainement 10/10 with free movies on demand!) I Will NEVER Board SPIRIT AIRLINES AGAIN until they give an entire update to their Airline and Airplane service and craft."

Coming back, I had to check in my bag (which I had no plans of doing) but due to insufficient space I had to, flight attendant was kind enough to comp me drinks and snack. So very unpredictable experience when flying this airline."

However, I've never flown Spirit before and Kayak NEVER provided any information regarding fact that the fare was "bare fare" & that we'd have to pay from everything from seats to carry-on AND check-in luggage!!! WTH! By the time we covered all necessities, we could've flown with a larger airline like JetBlue, Delta or United! We all felt taken advantage of and like cattle packed into an "air-bus." It was cramped. Very little space. ALL beverages....including coffee and water....were ONLY available for fee! Only credit/debit accepted and not just on airplane but at gate too! Oh, BTW, the luggage fee which they claimed was less when processing on-line turned out to be $10 MORE! Yeah, so $40 rather than $30 EACH way! Plus, when I went to buy our seats it immediately switched from a $4 fee to $12 per seat! I'm so angry & feel so deceived & taken advantage of that I'm never planning to use Kayak or Spirit ever again! They advertise as affordable fare but nickel & dime you to death. So sad what they do to people who like in my case had a family emergency and just wanted to get to my destination & back quickly & safely. Shame on them. There's a means of being profitable but then there's a means of being abusive and that's what I felt with Spirit Airlines. Due to fact that Kayak didn't advertise EVERYTHING about flight, I hold them responsible too. Oh, and if you plan to call Spirit, good luck getting a hold of a live person because it took me FOREVER!! Terrible, terrible, terrible!! Sincerely, Disappointed frequent flyer"

Cons: "Customer service was terrible before both of my flights. Both times I was not assigned a seat and had to go to the counter to get it. When I got to the counter no one had boarded the plane. By the time everyone had borded the plane I was still in the line. I had already told the representative that I needed a seat. I was getting anxious because I did nnot want to lose my flight and attempted to talk to both reps to see what was going on. One told me I had to wait for the other rep, without even looking at my face. The other ignored me many times until he heard me complain to another customer."

Pros: "The pilot kept the passengers informed and made a very good landing in Orlando. The agent at the check-in desk in San Juan was quite competent."
Cons: "They were late departing San Juan and late arriving in Orlando. The sticker near the boarding door said they had the newest fleet in the air but the leather on the top of all of the seat backs looked worn and the carpet by my seat needed cleaning or replacing. The crew in the passenger compartment didn't seem to be wearing any kind of uniforms or matching clothing. I never saw a cart come down the isle. They were also quite slow in deplaning the passengers. They required the passengers continuing on the flight to deplane so that they could clean the aircraft for the next crew after which those passengers reboarded."
