When one flight changed departure time, we no longer had our great pre-selected seats & couldn’t check in online. We had to work it out with delta & then aero Mexico t. After 30 min on the phone we got the last 3 bavk row seats near the toilets & cackling, aging flight attendants. No reclining or real food made for a lousy 3 1/2 hr lunch flight. No apologies, smiles of sympathy. Just snacks tossed our way"

It was a code shared flight between Lufthansa and United and each airline kept sending us to the other to get any answers or help. neither were helpful. To find out on the day of the flight that I had to check in and go through United was extremely annoying, as the counters are in different terminals and it was unnecessarily stressful. The flight itself was crammed, with absolutely no leg space, and not even enough space under the seat to stow my backpack (which had fit perfectly on my Brussels Airlines flight to Madrid). I had requested the Asian vegetarian meal, and the snack we got prior to landing was pretty much two slices of cucumber on a small bun (and an apple on the side) - extremely dry and hard to eat. I asked for mayo, but the flight neither had that, nor any other condiments to make the "sandwich" more edible."

This should be more clear, so that I can bring my own lunch if there will be none provided."

Cons: "the plane was very old and didn't have the entertainment options that newer planes have. The screen was so small and nearly impossible to see when the person in front of me reclined. The toilets weren't very clean. The food was very mediocre. I have a dairy intolerance, and both options contained dairy products. There was no lactose free or diabetic special meal option. There was an hour and a half delay to repair something on the plane when we made an emergency medical landing in Boston. I didn't mind the landing; I minded the excessive delay and wonder what would have happened if we didn't stop in Boston? What would have happened to the plan?"

At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

That was no problem. But, after plane left we sat there until it was time for us to arrive before ground crew came out. Then, we waited 20 minutes for our baggage. That was not your fault. That was the fault of the airport as it has happened to me before. The pilot was very apologetic and kept us informed. I appreciated that very much."

Despite originally being told that we were trying to get out ahead of storms so we wanted to get going quickly, we ended up boarding and then sitting there for probably an hour and a half. The pilot/copilot were great at letting us know what was going on, but the fact that both the first and second leg of my journey were delayed was excrutiately annoying. Having already been traveling for over 8 hours, the last thing I wanted to do was be even later and extend the flight even longer, obviously. The entertainment also was not available due to some problem in the circuit for the entirety of sitting there waiting to taking off and the first 15 minutes of the trip. Again, the attendants did everything they could and were very attentive, it was just frustrating to not really be sure that entertainment was going to be available for the 9 hour flight you just sat down for. Thereafter the entertainment was great. The food was, again, pretty mediocre compared to other transatlantic flights I've taken. The lasagna was not very good tasting at all. The sandwich they brought near the end of the flight was tasty though. Another plus was full sized cans of juice as opposed to a tiny glass. Honestly once this flight got off the ground it was good. However the combination of the delays, plus my terrible previous flight (which was the one directly operated by Lufthansa, the second flight was farmed out to United) just made the whole journey pretty awful, and probably the worst of my life. On my flight from Munich to Cairo, three weeks ago, Lufthansa left my bag in Munich despite the fact that I had an 8 hour layover - which you'd think would be more than enough to put a bag on a plane. They were very quick about delivering my bag once it arrived, but that previous experience with Lufthansa just served to bring down my opinion of the entire airline. Honesty, I had been told by friends that Lufthansa was a pretty good airline, that didn't show at all. There's a pretty big chance I'll never willingly fly Lufthansa again if there's even a remotely comparable option (which there almost always is)."

When the flight that got cancelled was a direct flight. Then our luggage was not put on the connecting flight, we got our luggage 24 hours later."

Pros: "We were supposed to fly out Sat Jan 23, 2016, but a blizzard had shut down the East coast air ports. We rebooked for Sunday. Air ports still closed. So we talk to the United people at SXM and they cannot issue us a new ticket but say we have to book on line or call the United number. Both options would not work for us. They were able to tell us that United only flies to SXM on the weekends and their would be no extra flight to makeup for all the cancellations. We ended up booking a new flight with American Air Lines for Wed."

No headrests, which means if you're taller than 6 foot, good luck being comfortable. Tray "tables" are a joke, it can barely accommodate a glass of water. Oh, and water? That's the only thing free with Frontier. Glass of OJ, Sprite, maybe Bloody Mary mix? Nah, you can pay for that. Brought headphones to plug in and watch a movie? Too bad, there's only the gray plastic in front of you. Basically, don't fly Frontier if you can afford not to."

When we landed, we were about to be ahead of schedule, but either due to some disorganization on the part of your staff, or due to not having enough Frontier gates in DEN, we had to wait at least 30 minutes to actually get off the plane, which made us very late to what was already going to be a long, late drive. You just made it worse and made us more tired. Also, not a huge deal, but what happened to the inflight entertainment? It seems like when you changed out the seats, the entertainment went away too."

It appears to be overly enrichment and a rip-off. I know that you're in business to make a profit. But dayumm!! REALLY??! You all are certainly taking advantage of your customers. There may be either a continued decrease of purchases or none at all. I noticed that there weren't many purchases in relation to the number of passengers on board at the time. BTW, the price paid for the single bottle of wine ($7 USD) is what it costs for the 4-pack, if not less. A person can purchase 750 ml or 1/5 gallon for the same amount or less (i.e., $5 USD + tax). This is wrong and obliges passenger to make a grudging purchase out of necessity. Have you ever been thirsty before? Can't have water to take medications without spending large amount of money. You can't even get tap water or courtesy cup of water / ice. What type of mess is this? $50+ bag check fee is horrendous!! Your competitors are much cheaper. Please add more cushion and room to your seats. Had this flight been more than 90 mins., I'd be making a trip to the hospital instead of home."

I purchased a ticket with another airline and left a few hours later. The staff told me that this is an everyday occurrence. Policies are fine but the staff should provide alternate solutions."

Pros: "Flight as shorter than expected, attendants nice and got the drinks out in a hurry"
Cons: "Flight was $99, 1 checked bag and seats, the cost was actually $200"
Cons: "When we arrived at the airport the flight was posted on the aiport depatures board to leave an hour late. This information was never updated, although departure was actually delayed almost two hours. No Spirit personnel were ever present at the departure gate or elsewhere in the departures area to provide an explanation or answer questions, nor was any information whatsoever posted at the gate at any time. Once passengers were on board and the plane was about to depart, the pilot did give a short explanation, adequate but tardy. I know Spirit is a low cost airline, but keeping passengers informed about the status of a very much delayed flight Is a basic service that would not cost much."
Pros: "I liked the choice of Big Seats. That was probably my best purchase for the flight. The crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "I didn't like the flight being late. I know these things happen, and part of the problem was the fault of the ground control people at LAX. For our flight to late because another airplane was blocking the jetway is poor management. Also, I know it costs a penny or so to transport soda on the airplane, but since very few people made purchases on the flight, it made no difference. So I think you could cut back a little on the idea of making the traveler pay for every little thing. The sodas are going to be there either way."
Pros: "Not much of anything"
Cons: "Every Spirit fight that I have taken has been delayed majorly impacting my trips. The first making my family miss one full day in Miami after the flight was delayed twice. Yesterday my flight was delayed over two hours for crew issues. I understand weather issues, but there should be some accomodation made when it is entirely the airline's fault. I witnessed one distraught passenger try to get assistance when the realized they had left his daughter's medication on the plane after leaving the plane. The gate agents were sort with him, not helpful in any way. They did call for a supervisor who showed up with a lollipop in her mouth. So unprofessional. I could go on, but I won't. This is a low cost carrier, with fares seemingly lower than their competitors but make sure to consider all of the fees before buying your ticket. Chances are the price is close to another carrier."
