Nailed it!Pros:Fantastic from pick up to drop off. First time I've rented then returned to another location which was super helpful in getting my family to the airport early Sunday morning.Reviewed Apr 11 2016

Good service, sleazy money tacticsPros:They gave me a bigger carCons:I was told $30 but ended up paying $45 upfront, and they charged 3 gallons at the rate of $4.98 per gallon after I returned the car. So in total, I paid $60 twice the amount I was supposed to payReviewed Nov 6 2017

Easy but tried to upsellPros:EasyCons:The attendant tried to upsell me to a corolla since I signed up for an economy special. I declined, and when I went outside, paying the lower price, I was given the option to take a corolla anyway and even a more expensive car. I actually ended up with a midsize car. It seemed like a shady process, and I'm glad I didn't pay more.Reviewed Feb 15 2017

Excellent rental service company!!Pros:Pick up was easy, staff very friendly, drop off was also very easy as well, pricing was very reasonable vs the competition. The car was clean and tidy.Cons:We didn’t have much of a choice when we had to choose our car, there were 6 cars in the lot and five of them were fusions but I didn’t want to stick around for more to come in. I know it’s a first come first serve basis but there should be an option to reserve a specific car in advance maybe even charge a nominal fee for it.Reviewed Nov 3 2018

Favorite rental agency at SFOPros:Great price for this trip Got a free upgrade from economy car to midsize because they ran out of economy cars Easy dropoffCons:Parking lot layout is a bit convoluted Up-sell screens on the automated kiosk are waaaay too numerousReviewed Nov 1 2016

Unnecessarily long linesPros:Representative was kind and understandingCons:Took FAR too much time waiting in line to pick up the car. Each customer seemed to have taken over 20 minutes to fill out the requisite paperwork and for each Alamo representative to go through every minute detail of each add-on cost. Also, none of the automated video kiosks seemed to work.Reviewed Apr 10 2017

Pros:Generally good overall, friendly service in personCons:Wanted to extend the rental and use different credit card for the extra days but they would not let us change the card. Had to return car and make a new reservation. Fault is with the system, not the service staff, but it was an annoying hassle.Reviewed Apr 20 2016

Pros:We got to pick the van we wanted, and had many to choose from.Cons:The price! We picked up in San Fracisco and dropped off in LA. Price went up a bunch because we didn't drop off in San Francisco!Reviewed Sep 24 2016

Pros:Very efficient hand over of the car at Inglewood Very comfortable carCons:Poor directions on where to return car - a map would help! More info needed on what the return procedure is. Car was excellent - but little information given about the insurance options. Expected to get insurance through KAYAK, but had to use the ALAMO insurance Headlights were not adjusted properly (shining too high) a lot of annoyed drivers when driving at night. Would have expected to have a built in GPS for such an expensive carReviewed Aug 16 2016

Cons:They got my reservation but refused to give me a car. No explanation was given, and they also refused to give me my money back. I rented a car with another company instead.Reviewed Oct 31 2016
