Pros: I had picked up the car in LA and driven it to SF. LA had been awful and overcharged me, refused to correct the billing and told me just to report the charge to the credit card company. When I arrived at SF I spoke immediately to the manager, Sophia, and she apologised and amended everything without hesitation. Complete contrast to my experience at the LAX pick up.

Highway One Anniversary Trip
Cons: My husband and I have been saving and planning for a trip down highway one for a year. We took an uber from the airport to dollar where we were greeted with 25+ people waiting for their car and then also told that they overbooked for convertibles. The man at the counter basically said we were out of look and that they didn't have a convertible or any car available. We demanded to see a manager and went down into the parking garage basement where we were told that no convertibles were available in all of San Francisco. A convertible is the vehicle that we paid for and had planned for and envisioned for our journey down highway one. We did not even receive a phone call or an email letting us know their was a problem. I believe we deserved at least a phone call to apologize and provide assistance in finding another vehicle. The manager did find us an SUV to leave with but it definitely was not the same as a convertible. My husband and I hated starting our anniversary trip with such horrible service. We were very disappointed with this company as a whole. I would not recommend using Dollar to anyone.

Pros: short time in picking up the car and easy return. Nice car,
Cons: arguing between the staff at the customer counter when I returned my car, was not loud, no profanity yet obvious. I assisted to older women with heavy suitcases attempting to use the stairwell to get to the car rental area, this is a high risk for customer injury area.
