Reservations vastly underestimate actual charges. Vehicle was dirty inside and out, so i switched to another vehicle that was dirty outside and smelly inside. Charges added for late return of vehicle, due only to the Avis desk being closed during return time. Google maps indicated this one-hour closed period (12pm-1pm for lunch), although Avis still accepts return times during this hour. After waiting 45 minutes for the clerk's arrival, the vehicle will be late, and an extra day's rental rate is charged. Avis, a "budget" car rental company, charges as much as blue-chip rental companies through hidden charges and fees, misinforming customers and scamming for late returns. Car rental companies with better vehicles, service and prices APPEAR more expensive while browsing for rates, but Avis, with an inferior product, will squeeze even more money out of the customer in dishonest ways.Reviewed Jun 3 2023

The truck clearly had not been cleaned after multiple customers. There were parking passes from several different hotel stays left on the dash, food crumbs all over the back seat, and something disgusting in one of the cup holders. A maintenance light went on the second day I had it. The staff was great, but just know Avis is turning those vehicles over fast, and not doing anything in between customers.Reviewed Apr 27 2022
