Pros: I love staying here. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfy, and it's close to cool things in the Castro and Mission. I enjoy their terrace and complimentary breakfast. The wifi is excellent too.
Pros: lovely staff, beautiful residence, great breakfast. our room in back was very quiet.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great service. The access to Equinox is fabulous! Prime, prime location--the best!!
Cons: In-room dining is awful. I had breakfast twice, and was severely disappointed at the outrageous price for the poor, poor quality of every aspect of the food--coffee is burnt and thick like mud, toast burnt, side vegetables unbelievably expensive with NO quality. The fresh orange juice is good. And that's it.
Otherwise, the hotel is just wonderful.
Pros: Amazing service and experience! We we're there for our honeymoon and loved every moment. The staff went out of there way to help us.
Pros: Nice rooms. Polite staff. Nice bathrooms. Everything worked without an issue.
Cons: At Reservation, called the 800 number. I was told they only had two suites available. No rooms. Two minutes later, I went on Kayak and booked two rooms with no issue.
Service was in no way exceptional. It was a little irritating that bell desk couldn't get cab.
Food/bar is terrible
Surcharge for internet access is ludicrous

All 277 guestrooms in this 17-floor hotel offer premium bedding, down comforter, LCD TV with cable service, iPod docking station, docking stations for MP3 players, wireless Internet access, floor-to-ceiling windows, and marble baths with separate showers and deep soaking tubs.
Pros: Great rate with a free room upgrade. The room was probably bigger than many in SF call home. I mean, it had three sinks: one main bathroom, one wet bar, and one in a separate vanity area. The staff is super nice.
Cons: Old building with original single-pane windows, so you'll probably hear some street noise.
Pros: The staff was very nice. The room was nice. Wine in evening was nice, and gave a chance to meet other travelers. Breakfast was good.
The White Swan Inn is located on Bush St. between Mason and Taylor atop Nob Hill, up the hill from Union Square and just minutes from the Powell Street Cable Car, the Financial District, Chinatown, North Beach and many of the City's finest restaurants.
The White Swan Inn is a visually stunning tribute to the intimate hotels of London. All guests enjoy a breakfast buffet, evening wine and hors d'oeuvres served fireside in the cozy parlor.
With a crackling fireplace in all 26 guestrooms, the White Swan Inn is a romantic and atmospheric small hotel in the Nob Hill/Union Square area. Dark wood paneling, rich floral carpets, comfortable furniture covered with elegant fabrics and enchanting English art and collectables set the tone. The Deluxe guestroom is equipped with a queen bed, fireplace, wet bar with complimentary soft drinks and water, designer toiletries in bathroom.
Pros: The breakfast was done well... however, they ran out of certain foods quickly, given the amount of guests. Breakfast staff were polite and worked fast to clear used tables for the next guest.
Cons: The internet was very sketchy and did not stay ON... we had to keep re-logging back on within 10 minutes...
TV was limited and if you wanted to check the 'guide' for it, you have to turn the TV off, then back on to read the guid as it scrolls the second you turn the TV on... we could not find a button to call it up!
I explained to the desk clerk that I forgot my nightgown and asked if I could use a hotel bathrobe... I was told those robes were only for a Bay front view room. I said I'm on the first floor looking at the Bay and the clerks told me that floor doesn't count! I think under my cercumstances, I could have been provided with a robe for the two nights we were there.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded from a regular room to a suite with a bay view.
Pros: I could stay at the window or on the patio for hours watching airplanes taking off and landing. It's amazing.
Cons: The quality of bedding sets are kinda of old. But considering the price it is fine.

Pros: Very clean, well appointed modern rooms, with 100% Cotten sheets and down comforters. His and her bathrobes. Standard continental breakfast, with bonus Starbucks coffee. Evening has coffee/tea with cookies and complimentary glass of wine. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and we definitely will stay again.
Pros: The beds were comfortable, plenty of room and friendly staff. Beautiful and simple room. Great experience.
Pros: I booked this hotel as it was a good price, had great reviews and was convenient enough for a conference at the Moscone Center without paying ridiculous downtown prices. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were all really nice, the room was comfortable, very eclectic design, modern bathrooms, but some very opulent furniture. About a 15 min walk to the BART, 10 min to Caltrain, about 5 min walk to the downtown San Bruno area that has quite a few restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again and make time to try the spa!
Cons: I didn't think the breakfast buffet was anything special. but since it was included in the price, can't complain.
Focus on your destination at the Villa Montes Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member in San Bruno, CA, located near San Francisco Airport. This smoke-free hotel is located near Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Cow Palace, San Francisco State University and University of California, San Francisco. Enjoy amenities like free hot breakfast, free WiFi, free airport transportation, meeting facilities and fitness center. Rooms include microwaves, refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee makers, iron and ironing boards. Valid credit card required upon check-in for incidentals.
Pros: The hotel was nice and pretty clean. There were dirty glasses outside our door when we checked in and our bedside lamp was broken. It was unplugged when we got there. When I plugged it in it didn't work. It was missing a lightbulb. They came and changed the bulb and finally got it on but then it didn't want to turn off that night. Must have had a short in it. I complained twice and they said they would change it out but never did. Mysteriously the 2nd morning the alarm was set and went off at 5:30am. We hadn't set it and it hadn't gone off the day before. Very odd and annoying. I won't stay here again. There are a lot of choices in the area.
Pros: Spacious rooms
Cons: No safety deposit box in any room! A major inconvenience, especially as the single deposit box at front desk was laughably small. We had to carry passports, all credit cards and cash, computers, etc with us everywhere for 2 weeks!
I would not stay here again for this one reason - even though staff was friendly and helpful.
Pros: Room overall was quite clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Bathroom was outdated, lacked counter space, old tub and shower, toilet used a lot of water. Lighting and ventilation in bathroom very poor.
Construction/remodel work during the day made considerable noise.
One elevator was very noisy.
A great choice for a stay in San Mateo, Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo offers a free airport shuttle during limited hours. You can splash around at the outdoor pool, grab a bite to eat at the restaurant, or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. A fitness center and a spa tub are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: We stayed a night since it was near our morning meeting. The layout and lobby is great, and the staff is very welcoming. Unfortunately let down by mediocre room experience (deluxe king) and we could not have a good rest.
Cons: The thermostat in our room was broken and it was way too hot. We tried re-setting it several times but it kept blowing hot air even though it was 75F. It was very difficult to sleep and sweated through the night.
The shower pressure was very low. Having both shower head choices was nice, but it was difficult to feel clean because the water pressure was very low and so it took much longer to soap off.
For a business hotel, you had to pay for internet. We used a hotspot instead. It felt a bit confused whether it was a luxury hotel or a business hotel, and for the price point I would stay somewhere else that has better value for money. Not having a good night sleep really affected my work day
Cons: The room stunk! For $600 get some air freshener.
Pros: Great hotel and staff. They treated us perfectly. I would absolutely stay here again. No complaints as all.
Cons: The location for us was a bit too close to some seedy areas of town. No problem, but you need to be careful which way you walk.
Pros: Given a corner room even though I booked via Kayak
Provided with slippers
Room was spacious and TV was large - guess is 55"
Gym was well equipped but didn't have time to use it
Easter bunny was on duty and there was a tableful of candy for the young and not so young - I didn't have any but still appreciated the effort
Cons: Bathroom short on racks to hang towels
Shower head water flow too wimpy
Bathroom scale low on battery
Pros: I hosted a bachelorette party at the Intercontinental and it was great!! The staff was very accommodating and helped us with making sure all the girls were taken care of. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the hotel was extremely spacious.
Cons: There was a "bouncer" type employee at night who gave me and the girls staying at the hotel a hard time. He required every girl to have a key in their hand to get in, even though we just had one person per room have a key because we didn't think it was necessary. He was extremely rude and borderline harassing.
Pros: Appreciated the staff the location and the lounge/restaurant. The room was great with a nice view each morning
Pros: Luxury accommodations. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Valet parking fee is crazy high!
Pros: I liked how the staff was really attentive. Rooms clean, everyine real proffesional.
Cons: I didnt like the fact that when u drive in to check in they dont tell u that the charge for parking is 65$ . Also that the water thats in the room thats bottled i didnt know they would charge me 8:50$ for it. Ridiculous! I seen when i checkd out!
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean facilities
Cons: Check out was at 12:00pm as normal but was woken up by maid knocking on door at 9:15am.
Charged my credit card $100.00 more than what was on invoice when I checked out. To be refunded within 5days or so supposedly.......
It would have been nice to know beforehand.
Pros: Awesome views of AT&T Park and the Bay. Front desk agent was great.
The InterContinental® San Francisco hotel is a short walk to the Museum of Modern Art Union Square's upscale shopping and dining and Moscone Center conventions. You can host refined events in stylish boardrooms and elegant ballrooms before unwinding with treatments in private spa rooms or a swim in the indoor pool. Delight in gourmet modern American cuisine in our chic Michelin one-starred Luce restaurant and relish crafted grappa cocktails in the sophisticated Bar 888.
Pros: The linens were the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever visited, and I have stayed at some of the world's most luxurious hotels. The TV has a huge screen and a supremely clear picture. 4K?? The location is very close to the rental car return agencies. Very clean. The only drawback was the check in. I asked for a quiet room with a bathtub. The first room I was assigned had soaking wet carpet from a recent shampoo. Instead of bringing me a key to another room I had to go down to the lobby again and wait for what seemed like an eternity for them to assign me a different room. The person at the front desk (Yolanda?) laughed when I explained the reason i had to change rooms. Then they had a lot of difficulty figuring out which rooms on the quiet side of the hotel had bath tubs. Once I got to the room however I was extremely comfortable and the room was super quiet. A/C could use a slight boost.
Pros: The hotel is easy to access and the quality of the rooms is very high.
Not far from the city and really close to the airport
Great view of the plane landing and taking off without the sound.
very friendly staff
Cons: A bit on the high side for the price depending on the day you stay.
Pros: Room furnishings were very nice and modern. Bed very comfortable. Loved the glass shower doors and bathroom amenities. Staff very friendly. Free airport shuttle very convenient. Overall great experience.
Cons: Tried express check-out via telephone and TV menu but neither worked. Had to checkout at front desk but luckily there was no wait. Would prefer express checkout.
Cons: Waterproof mattresses and broken fixtures? Can't believe Marriott puts their name behind this place.
Pros: Great Bed experience. I did not.mind being far from San Francisco since we had rented a car.
Cons: There was a used towel in our room when we checked.
Pros: It was very nice, location felt safe. Staff was friendly. Pillows and blanket were goose down, very comfy.
Cons: $25 parking. You run into expensive parking so much in downtown San Francisco that it would have been nice to have lower or none there. The lounge staff, while friendly, seemed to need more staffing. It took a while to be greeted or get our bill. There was no fan in the bathroom so while showering it got very hot fast. They had to add on a hold for an extra $100 on my debit card, just because it was a debit. It's refundable but it has yet to be removed from my bank statement.
Cons: They could not accommodate my room and needs since booking.com made multiple mistakes in my order. For my inconvinance nothing special was offered or any type of discounts.
Pros: Love the convenience and ease for travelers. The pool- though small for serious workout, hot tub, and work out room is great.
Pros: The staff was amazing. Some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time.
They had fruit and candy out and everyone smiled and was helpful. It was wonderful.

Cons: Several pillow cases were scented with perfume. Pillow cases had not been changed? Bed sheets??
Pros: Close to airport with free shuttle every half hour
Cons: Booked a king size bed with whirlpool. I didn't read the fine print that said if available which meant I didn't get the whirlpool.
Pros: Staff was friendly and responsive.
Room seemed clean.
Cons: Staff gave wrong information about the hotel's shuttle. After waiting for more than 45 min for a shuttle that I was told would be 15 min., I ended up having to waste time and $$ to pay for an Uber driver.
No complimentary breakfast.
Cons: I thought they had a complimentary breakfast, they didn't I got charged 12.99, I wasn't happy about that !
Pros: The staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel was really convenient to downtown SF(18 minutes away), and with an amazing view! Hotel room was clean and comfy! It was definitely worth it for the price paid.
Cons: There was no complimentary breakfast, had to pay for it. But otherwise everything was great!
Pros: Convenient location from airport or to downtown San Francisco. Excellent conveniences such as a business center, workout room, laundry facilities, and accessible room availability. They had multiple areas for business travelers to sit and work. They have their own restaurant on site so dinner and a full breakfast was offered at a very reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was very impressed when I received an email to confirm our reservation and it offered me other things that I might need, for example extra towels, blankets and even a quiet room. The only reason I didn't 5 star the hotel was because the beds were definitely full size and not queen and they were very soft and a bit lumpy. Additionally, their pillows were also very mushy and not firm enough to support your neck. Other than that it is a very nice place to stay.
Cons: Full size beds instead of queen, soft lumpy beds and mushy pillows that were not firm enough to support neck.
Pros: I'm glad there was a restaurant available. But I'm used to having a free buffet offered.
Cons: There wasn't a free buffet.
Pros: Everything was wonderful. Fresh fruit and cookies were much appreciated when we came into the lobby. Staff were so friendly and efficient, The room was very nice and quiet.
Cons: Couldn't get a second nights stay.
Pros: Clean room and polite staff.
Cons: No pool.

Pros: We had a lovely weekend at Jackson Court. The location was perfect for walking to all of our destinations, and was a stone's throw from some amazing restaurants and fun bars, but at the end of the night it was great to come back to a quiet location. We slept with the windows open both nights, and my boyfriend wasn't bothered at all. I sleep like the dead, but he could hear a whisper from 3 blocks away and be up for an hour.
Breakfast was simple, but enough, and we really enjoyed meeting some of the other travellers that way. I can't say we took advantage of the afternoon tea, but it was a nice offering.
All in all, our stay was lovely. I imagine we will try and spend our future San Francisco stays at Jackson Court.
Cons: While we didn't take a car, I can see what other reviewers were talking about when it comes to parking. This neighborhood is extremely residential, and that could present a problem for some.
We also happen to love walking, and were willing to hoof it to most of our destinations, but if you are not a walker, public transportation is a bit tricky. Whenever we got tired of walking, though, uber or lyft were always readily available and pretty inexpensive
Jackson Court puts you within a 10-minute drive of Lombard Street and Palace of Fine Arts. Free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. Also, Union Square and Asian Art Museum of San Francisco are within a short drive.
Cons: Your staff treated my son who booked the property like trash...it was simply unpleasant
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Dirty and stained furniture in hallways by rooms
Pros: Staff was considerate and helpful in every way. Food in the Nob Hill Club was excellent. Great views from Top of the Mark.
Cons: Furniture in lobby needs cleaning or reupholstering. Looks dated. Bathroom was small and dark. I was there 5 days and one of the elevators was out of service for 3 of those days.
Staff was super friendly and helpful especially the valet
Cons: Noise level in the rooms. Windows do not block out the noise from the streets so you can hear Grace Cathedral bells and the cable cars which is great but also the loud drunks in the middle of the night as well.
Pros: Comfortable room and good location. Noise level was fine despite being on the same street as the cable car.
Cons: A bit run down in appearance and small old elevators. Poor customer service upon check. We were given a hard sale to sign up for hotel program upon arrival.
Pros: The location of this hotel is great with walking access to the waterfront, Union Square, cable cars, and public transport. The staff was excellent and very attentive. The room was everything we wanted, plus a great view. The restaurant had a good selection. The night club was really fun. We would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Room service was good, bed, pillows & frette Sheets were excellent.
Cons: Dark bathroom, dated room in general...for the money I prefer the Fairmont.
Pros: Nice people.
Cons: This place would be great, but it need a renovation. It just looks like it hasn't been kept up in some time. Needs some fresh paint and some updates. It's in an area that not much is going on also
Pros: A great location and views
Cons: A little pricey
Pros: Location is good, close to everything
Cons: I booked this reservation months in advance for a large group, and still, upon check-in there was alot of miscommunication and confusion about the reservation (how many rooms, names on the reservation, etc). Staff was not warm or particularly helpful at all, there was an obvious lack of hospitably and willingness to help that you receive at most hotels. The hotel itself is average, its very old and outdated inside, the walls are thin so u hear conversations next door, and the rooms are small. There were very limited hours for the restaurant/lounge downstairs, and overall was just someolace you'd go to sleep and thats it. It really was just ok. Many other hotels in the area that offered more for the price. I wouldnt stay there again.
Pros: Great place to stay if you want to be treated like royalty at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend staying here and also having drinks at the Top of the Mark. Excellent views of the "city by the bay" and the music and service is awesome! Do yourself a favor and stay here. We do every year for almost 20 years. You won't regret it!
From the moment you first glimpse the crystal chandeliers and velvet armchairs in the grand lobby the InterContinental® Mark Hopkins San Francisco hotel transports you to a golden glamorous era. Host your dream wedding in one of two magnificent ballrooms or unwind in an opulent suite decorated with unique artwork. The hotel restaurant serves the best of California’s contemporary cuisine while famous city highlights like Union Square and the San Francisco Playhouse are a short stroll away.
Cons: I was double charged, by the agency, and by the hotel, still cannot fix it.
Pros: Good breakfast. Good size rooms and beds.
Cons: Towels had stains. Bathtub needed to be replaced. The porcelain was peeling and cracking. Notified front desk to let them know.
Pros: I loved the breakfast and happy hour. Nice trail along the bay.
Pros: Breakfast included with a niceroom
Cons: Cleaning service did not remove trash oneday
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: Everything, the staff was terrible.
Cons: The staff was rude, My credit card was overcharged 3 times.
Pros: Great place to stay. Close to the SFO airport
Pros: Breakfast is why i stay hereorice
Pros: Beautiful gardens pet friendly ! Breakfast and drinks great . Great view . Lovely shampoos . Excellent staff . Had such an awesome time . Have recommended it to my grown children too. Thank you for everything :)
Cons: Leaving :)
Pros: Breakfast in the morning was devine. Best omelet I've had in months.
Cons: Hard to find a good deal for embassy suites. I would love to stay more often.

Work or rest in our tropical atrium and experience our on-site restaurant and bar, Tap and Tavern. *Service of alcohol subject to state and local laws. Must be of legal drinking age.
Cons: Very poor service. A fraudulent charge from the restaurant was added to my room charge. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they became very accusatory and combative. Very, very disappointing!
Pros: I loved the staff! They were nice and very friendly! I also liked how we were able to communicate through texting and they replied very quickly.
Cons: I asked for more conditioner for our stay, but we didn't get any extra. I also didn't like how there wasn't room for water or food in our fridge, but overall I loved this place! Definitely booking a room at the W in the future!
Pros: Great location. The staff were very very friendly. The ambience was hip. The room, although had no view was very well decorated and filled to the brim with mini bar treats. The price, although not cheap, was probably one of the better in the areas for a clean non-scary establishment. I would stay here again!
Cons: $63 for parking!!! Youch! That's probably standard in the city. Your $300 a night room just went up to almost $400.
Pros: Great centrally located property. Rooms were very zen, beds super comfy and lots of cool little details that made the stay pleasant.
Cons: Staff was hit or miss. I get that they want to create a chic vibe but a smile wouldn't kill anyone. Did get the requested high floor room with some semblance of a view.... granted our flight arrived at 5pm on a holiday weekend makes sense why they couldn't accommodate that request.
Pros: The view
Cons: Carpet was very dirty, stained, there was not enough space in the room and pictures online were deceiving. The air conditioning was not working including the fan, the room felt warm even when the air conditioning showed a lower temperature. Very Noisy. Staff was not helpful when asked to move to a bigger room.
Pros: Liked the decor and comfort of the room
Cons: Phones are not answered in time
Pros: Rooms have an awesome view of the city, very modern decor, and comfortable beds. I've only ever stayed here on business, but this is an impressive hotel with impressive rooms if you don't want to spend a thousand bucks a night at the Fairmont.
Cons: Being charged $60 to valet a car in unacceptable

Pros: Comfortable beds, very clean. Ideal for a stay by the airport. The Free shuttles are perfect.
Located just 3.7 mi (5.9 km) from the airport, Millwood Inn And Suites offers a free shuttle (available 24 hours). Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and hot/cold buffet breakfast daily. Rooms offer up nice touches like iPod docks, premium bedding, and down comforters.
Pros: This hotel locate in the central of union square which is really convenient, close to the cable car stop;friendly staff.
Cons: it's the worst Westin I have ever stay, inside of hotel is too old and I can hear everything that women who stay next door she said.$700 per night,i would choose hotel that is near Bound that area next time.
Pros: The rooms were clean and the safety measures that were in place allowed you to always feel safe
Cons: Parking costs $62 a day. I know it is expensive in the city, but what a racket!
Pros: Anthony, the concierge, was able to book us a restaurant reservation when we had already attempted and struck out. Thank you, Anthony!
Cons: Left a sweater called back immediately got security said nothing turned in, called back twice no luck. Guess it got up and walked away. Not buying it. Tough luck right
Pros: Loved the location and hotel's history.
Cons: When I checked in, room they assigned me to wasn't serviced. Called the front desk multiple times and had to wait 30 plus minutes before waiving down a manger to help me. Then proceeded to wait another 29 min to find a room that was cleaned.
Cons: My room's window faced a brick wall and got absolutely no sunlight. I felt like we were in a dungeon. I couldn't tell what time of day it was, kind of like that feeling you get when you are in a Vegas Casino. We didn't get in until after midnight when we arrived, so I was more interested in getting some sleep than complaining. But I was really disappointed.
Cons: The hotel has lost its luster...beds were uncomfortable....toilet leaked....no water in rooms....grubby panhandler approached us while we sat at lobby coffee bar....not surprising since every time we went out the front door the doormen were either talking or texting n cell phones off to the side...I gave stayed there on and off for over 20 years...it's a shame but I will likely stay elsewhere going forward
Pros: Great location
Customer service was great
Cons: Amenities could be better
Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small
Pros: The location is a big draw and it is a known entity in San Francisco. It met expectations.
Cons: We stayed in the Tower. The room was big and the furnishings adequate, but not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber. Somewhat dated. Also, hallways are dark and below what one would expect from a hotel like this. I could've paid $100 more and stayed at the Fairmont, and it would've been worth it!
Pros: The location, helpful and friendly staff, nice size rooms
Pros: Check In was great. Very nice staff. Rewarded us for returning for a third time in two years by giving us (2) complimentary drink coupons.
Cons: Valet was $58/night + Tax. Took over 30 mins to get car out of lot when checking out. Mini bar in room was half empty and had empty bottles, a milkshake cup and food wrappers inside.
Pros: Proximity to Union Square
Cons: Rooms / noise. You can hear your neighbors' every word, toilets, etc. The doors slam shut SO very hard, that they will jar you from the heaviest sleep.
Lots of late night parties on the 11th floor.

Pros: The rooms, meeting facilities, customer service
Pros: Rooms had beautiful view overlooking the hotel Lobby. Size of the rooms are nice.
Cons: Waited for shuttle over 45 min.. a shuttle from a different Hotel was nice enough to drive us .at 2 am needed maintenance ac was not working .. bathroom was not clean toilet seats for dirty from the last person there.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and polite. We were staying for one night before having to be at the UCSF children's hospital the next day and we all slept like babies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen was very soft overall we had a great stay.
Pros: Food at 360 was great. Beds were comfy.
Cons: No microwaves in room. No liquid coffee creamer, just powder.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with strong drinks!
Cons: No nightlife near by.
Cons: The whole place smelled dusty due to the construction-- I booked a 300 dollar room and they said that there was no running water--- moved me into another room with no view but not any cheaper
Cons: Under much needed renovation. Would have been nice to know at time of booking. Air filter so plugged air wouldn't flow. Toilet wouldn't stop running. Blood on comforter. No coffee maker in room. Not at all what you'd expect from a Hyatt. Staff was great when we told them about issues.
Pros: we didnt like much. they didnt include on the web that the hotel is going through massive renovations. pool was closed which we wanted to use so badly during our short vacation. The gym was also out of service. it was very disappointing of an experience.
Cons: Under construction, noisey
Pros: Room layout, beds, a lot of outlets, very clean
Cons: HUGE construction project in the middle atrium, hence noise and no restaurant. Bathroom amenities very, very limited - need to ask for basic things like Q-tips and other (yes, they are available - a nice list in the room) but having only soap and shampoo in the room is not sufficient
Cons: Valet and bell hops were friendly and helpful. First check attempt was not successful due to a power outage that only affected the computers. Employee was also rude and really should find a job that does not involve working with people. Attempted to order food to go in the restaurant, after waiting for 25mns while the waiter was watching a football game we gave up and left. Rooms were dated and dingy. Would not recommend as a platinum passport member.

Cons: Our room as next to the elevators and could hear them going up and down. We should have requested a new room but we arrived late and had to leave very early the next day to catch our flight.
Pros: Clean, spacious, and well laid out. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Airport shuttle was a disaster. No shock absorbers. Rough ride.
Pros: The hotel was clean & pretty well maintained.
Cons: The staff were not helpful or friendly. The pool was freezing. The wifi was $10 and parking was very expensive. I was hoping for a nice quick pleasant overnight stay. It was quick but not so pleasant.
Pros: Nicest hotel staff I've encountered in a very long time. They were incredibly accommodating to myself, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter. We had an overnight stay for a connecting flight and the hotel is extremely close to the airport with a very quick and frequent airport shuttle bus. We happened to be stuck there with a delayed flight on my daughters 2 year birthday and when the staff found out they gave us an extended check out and treated the birthday girl to pasta and a birthday brownie. It was a really pleasant surprise for a tired and traveling family. Thank you Westin!!!
Pros: Through Expedia I got a great deal to stay at the Westin for 3 nights and it was great! I stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and even though it was a holiday the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice shower, awesome beds and it's close to the bay so you can just walk outside for a beautiful veiw and walk. Also has a free shuttle and is a short walk to the BART station!
Pros: Hotel provided shuttles every 15 minutes to the airport. They dropped you off at your gate. Very nice.
Pros: We liked the overall vibe and style.
Cons: We didn't like the inconsistent customer service and the room vibrated from the restaurant's exhaust fan. (We moved to another room.)
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the conference rooms and facilities were very nice and what you would expect from the Westin. Room was clean. Good location
Cons: First thing I was thoroughly disappointed in was the pillows. After traveling I was tired so I immediately fluffed up the pillows to lay down for a short nap. But the pillow cases sounded and felt like paper!!! And 3'outnofnthen4 pillows were so lumpy and flat, not one firm pillow and that combined with uncomfortable pillow cases I woke up with a neck ache. Bed was uncomfortable . And the sound level in our room was so LOUD that we were woken several times by people walking by talking and each room to either left or right we heardbeverybtime the toilet flushed and every conversation or slammed door. Very disappointed in my stay this time. Better soundproofing the rooms..it felt like paper thin walls!
Cons: Parking is $25 Come on. Also, Westin withheld $100. from my card for "incidentals" wi/o notification. The cheesy glasses in the room were carefully encased in cheap plastic wrap with the prepared label
"SPG Members" affixed to the bottom of each glass, alerting the non-SPG Members that they would be charged for unwrapping the household plastic wrap from the glass if they dared to venture to drink from actual glass rather than from the plastic UNlabeled "glass" next to the special SPG one. The tub drained poorly. This hotel is full of itself and not much else in terms of service and ambiance.
Pros: Convenient to airport n hwy
Cons: Tight room
Pros: We liked having a free shuttle to the airport as well as the indoor pool. It was great for our one year old to swim and get some energy out before a cross country flight. Staff were very accommodating and provided us with a crib for the room.
Cons: The hotel restaurant was very expensive, but this is not surprising for San Francisco.
Pros: The location is the only good thing about this hotel
Cons: Customer service was horrible after a long flight

Pros: Good sleephouse. Guitarstage and bicycle museum both highly stimulating. Strong.
Cons: Large demons. Very good windows but demons still come through backwards.

The sauna makes for a relaxing end to the day, and free perks include WiFi and continental breakfast daily between 7:30 AM and 10 AM. Also, TransAmerica Pyramid and Coit Tower are within just a 10-minute walk.
Pros: Had a great common area with a fireplace and a good basic breakfast. Overall a great place! Rooms are the perfect size and clean and bathroom I had was large.
Cons: If you're a light sleeper, DO NOT stay here. Street is extremely busy most of the time, windows/walls didn't block any sound. It was also a little odd that the bartender/bar was also the front desk so if you needed something you had to call the bar.
Pros: That there was a bar right below us. I really liked to free breakfast and the staff was very nice!
Cons: There was nothing that I disliked :)
Pros: Loved the eclectic feeling of this hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a big common space/ living room and 24 hour open snacks that gave us the comfort of being at home.
The room was clean and comfortable and felt private. The restaurant below is open late with great food and drinks, the perfect place to come back to after long days roaming the city.

Cons: I don't like they charged my card twice for authorization and I had to wait 7-10 business days to get that money back into my account.
Pros: Location and people
Cons: Older carpets in some rooms; pillows too big!!
Pros: Good place, it's worth spending the extra 25 dollars to stay.
Cons: Would be nice to leave my luggage at the front desk for 30 minutes before I left but the manager at 6am said no.
Cons: Maybe the air conditioning system can be more quieter
Pros: The staff and room were excellent. It was very clean & I liked the decor of the room. The beds were comfy and I found myself not wanting to leave. The complimentary breakfast was very satisfying.
Cons: The exterior of the hotel was undergoing construction, but they made sure not to start until after 9am. The contractors were very polite and accommodating to the guests as well.
Pros: Rooms were quite during the night. That was a very good thing for me.
Cons: Bathroom not clean at all. Took photos.
Personnel not friendly.
Pros: Everything was great for a quick overnight stay before heading to the airport. It was really nice to have a late checkout as our plane did not leave until 4pm.
Cons: Only two complaint, the bed was too soft (more so personal pickiness complaint) and there were few Gluten Free options at breakfast as we both have Celiac Disease.
Pros: This hotel near the airport was spotless. Newly renovated, the room was modern, and perfectly located for convenience to the airport. The 24 hour shuttle and reasonable rate makes this a good choice for those who want a comfortable stay without all the unnecessary amenities. I would choose the Dylan next time I stay in SFO. On checkout, Sherri was helpful and pleasant notwithstanding the early hour.
The Dylan at SFO, a newly remodeled boutique hotel in Milbrae, CA, is conveniently located just 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and features a free SFO Airport shuttle bus to and from the airport. It is also within walking distance of the Millbrae BART/CalTrain station, allowing you access to downtown San Francisco or Silicon Valley.

The free buffet breakfast consists of hot eggs and casseroles, sausages, bacon, fresh waffles, fresh baked muffins, scones, danishes & cinnamon rolls, cereal, homemade oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels & cream cheese, toast, hard-boiled eggs, ham and cheese, juice, and freshly-brewed coffee. All guestrooms and bathrooms have been remodeled and are equipped with extra special touches to ensure each guest will enjoy a quality stay. The guestrooms now include complimentary WiFi and USB outlets that are built into all-American-made furniture, 40-inch LCD TVs with 100 cable and HBO channels, iPod® docking stations, balconies, microwaves, refrigerators, and comfortable plush pillowtop beds. The highlight of each guestroom is the beautiful dreamy artwork of famous surrealist photographer, Thomas Barbey. The Dylan at SFO is the only hotel in the world to feature his artwork. The new bathrooms have spacious showers with imported Spanish porcelain tile, rainfall showerheads, and frameless glass doors.
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. I stayed in San Francisco numerous times and for the price this hotel was a great stay/great deal. Would recommend.
Cons: When we arrived the room felt cold to us. We are from a much warmer climate than SF. Turned on the heater and didn't heat up. Called the front desk and was told the heat in the building was on a timer...comes on at 9pm (it's a radiator). They offered to send up a space heater.Within minutes we had a space heater. Problem solved. Great staff and super friendly.
Pros: I was impressed by the staff when they offered to valet the car up early, since we had to leave at 5:30am. I found the room very comfortable, but my husband had issues. He could not cool himself down; the ceiling fan had been disabled, the window would not open, and the ac was either difficult or non functioning (probably difficult). He could not sleep and blamed the hardness of the bed. I slept fine and have no complaints
Pros: Chic style
Cons: The heater didn't really do much, the room was cold and it was a pain to get out of the blanket. And, there was so much hollering from the street front.
Pros: Great location and value for the money. Morrocan decor, very clean and comfortable.
Pros: Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. Price is OK
Cons: Rooms are very small and the neighborhood is not safe.
Cons: (1) Rooms at lower levels are noisy from the people in the street. (2) It had no parking counter to what advertised. They push on you a mandatory valet at approximately $40/day. (3) Internet is free for 20 min a day. Nevertheless, when you use it, at their business center, they have a slow mode option you do not know of. You find out at the check out that the default option, you thought was free for 20 min, is the fast option that cost approximately $1/min. (3) The streets in front of the hotel are full with homeless people who use the sidewalks like sleeping quarters and restrooms. For the rest, it was peachy.
Pros: Super nice and playful front desk staff. I happened to mention it was my boyfriends birthday and the concierge offered to fill the room with balloons and a free bottle of wine! And they set it up as a surprise for when we got back from dinner!
The car service was excellent, the decor was really nice- Indian type theme but clean and chic!
Organic coffee and tea in the room, shampoo conditioner and shower gel in dispensers instead of minis to be more Eco friendly!
I couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Cons: I didn't like the price, but that's to be expected in San Francisco! The building is old so the walls seems paper thin to outside noise, but not really from room to room, so didn't mind the sound of cars and people walking.
Pros: The hotel itself is attractive.
A boutique hotel with a great lobby, warm staff and cute charming rooms.
The bathroom was nice.
Our superior king room had a walk-in closet with two entrances.
The room had a dimmer for the main ceiling light above the bed.
It's a short walk to some nice bars.
Union Square is about a 10 minute walk.
The price is great for the quality of our stay, especially giving the going rates on much of the city.
Cons: The floor of the bathtub was slippery, so I had to be very mindful when showering.
There is however a short rail / bar along the shower wall that came in handy when stepping into the bathtub.
Like many buildings in SF, it's an old building and the walls are a bit thin. You occasionally hear sounds through the walls (i.e. steps, hallway chatter, clunks of objects moving through the hallways), but nothing out of the ordinary.
